Collaborative Meeting between Unikom and Google Indonesia: Discussing the Implementation of Ai Technology to Strengthen Higher Education

BANDUNG, UNIKOM — As part of accelerating the university’s digital transformation towards comprehensive use of AI technology, on Monday, November 17, 2025, Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) held a strategic meeting with Google Indonesia and representatives from Datascrip, part of the AI Training on Google Workspace. This event took place at the Google Indonesia Office, Pacific Century Place, SCBD Jakarta, attended by directors, heads of study programs, heads of division, UPT, and lecturers from UNIKOM.

Mr. Ganis, Acting Director of Google Indonesia, emphasized that Indonesia is currently in the midst of the massive wave of the 4.0 Industrial Revolution, where internet technology serves as the primary foundation. He appreciated UNIKOM’s quick response in utilizing digital technology, including the use of Workspace Education Plus, which is considered capable of strengthening the implementation of the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi (Three Pillars of Higher Education) through integrated application services. Mr. Ganis also praised the development of the UNIKOM Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (AI Lab), which he called a strategic step in preparing a generation ready to face a technology-based future.

The main agenda of the event consisted of technical presentations on the use of AI delivered by speakers from Adoption Lead and Customer Success at Google for Education Indonesia, Kristiyanto, along with his team, Pandu and Dzulfikar, who also discussed Google Investing Future Education, covering the use of Google Gemini, NotebookLM, effective prompting principles, and AI integration in Google Workspace. Participants also gained insights into the use of institutional accounts, with UNIKOM being one of the top users in Bandung, as well as best practices that can be adopted within the UNIKOM environment.

During an interview, the Director of IT Infrastructure & Network (INFRANET) at UNIKOM, Berny Indrawan, ST., M.Kom., who led the collaboration, explained that the meeting was part of UNIKOM’s strategic collaboration with Google in the application of AI-based technology. He emphasized that the roadmap for AI implementation at UNIKOM was carried out in two main phases. The first is the infrastructure phase, which he confirmed has been completed. The second is the user phase, which targets lecturers and students as the main actors in the use of AI. “For students, implementation began two months ago. This time, we invited the department heads and lecturers directly to the Google Office to get a comprehensive overview of Google applications and tools that can help the Tri Dharma, including the teaching and learning process, research, and community service,” he said.

Berny added that he had high expectations after the meeting. “I hope that the heads of study programs and lecturers share my vision in seeing how important Google is for UNIKOM. The ultimate goal is for the participants of this meeting to be able to pass on their knowledge to other lecturers and students that these Google tools are very useful for the learning process and important to master in lectures.” Furthermore, Berny said that so far he has only collaborated with Irfan Dwiguna Sumitra, S.Kom., M.Kom. Ph.D., as the Director of Technology and Information Systems Development (PTDSI) at UNIKOM to assist in the implementation of UNIKOM’s collaboration with Google. Berny also emphasized that UNIKOM needs a strong technology partner to face the era of industrial revolution and AI development. “Google is a very suitable partner for UNIKOM. In the future, this AI technology will be able to be used by all elements of the campus, both lecturers and students,” he concluded.

The UNIKOM meeting with Google was also integrated with a complete AI training agenda at Google Indonesia, which participants attended systematically, starting from the GenAI introductory session to an office tour of Google’s environment. Through this collaboration, UNIKOM further strengthens its commitment to becoming a smart, adaptive campus that is ready to compete at the global level. The collaboration with Google Indonesia and Datascrip also serves as a solid foundation for accelerating digitalization and strengthening the academic community’s competencies in artificial intelligence technology. UNIKOM International Relations – Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) UNIKOM, Students Conduct Overseas Practicum in Three Countries to Strengthen Global Diplomacy Skills

BANDUNG, UNIKOM — The International Relations Study Program of Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) has conducted an International Relations practicum program participated in by seventh–semester students. Through this program, students not only learn theoretical concepts but also directly engage abroad to understand the dynamics of international relations in a real and contextual manner.

Dr. Dewi Triwahyuni, S.IP., M.Si., Head of the International Relations Study Program at UNIKOM, explained that this practicum serves as a comprehensive field-learning component and the culmination of theoretical materials studied since the early semesters. “Because they are International Relations students, their fieldwork must be international. All theories they have learned from semesters 1 to 6 are tested directly through this international experience,” she stated.

This year, the group—consisting of approximately 60 students and lecturers from the International Relations Program, including Andrias Darmayadi, S.IP., M.Si., Ph.D.; Dr. Henike Primawanti, M.I.Pol.; and Sylvia Octa Putri, S.IP., M.I.Pol.—visited three countries: Singapore, Thailand (Bangkok), and Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City). Each country provided distinct experiential focuses. In Singapore, students observed global-standard governance practices. In Bangkok, students learned directly from diplomats regarding diplomatic work routines, responsibilities, and the duties of state representatives. Meanwhile, in Ho Chi Minh City, students explored cultural diplomacy in collaboration with Hongbang International University.

During the cultural diplomacy session, UNIKOM students showcased Indonesia’s rich cultural heritage through presentations on history and cultural legacy, introductions to traditional attire, and performances of traditional dance and music. The practicum also featured gastro-diplomacy, highlighting Indonesian culinary heritage—an engaging experience especially for Vietnamese students who were unfamiliar with Indonesia. “We wanted to introduce Indonesia comprehensively. Many Vietnamese students had never visited Indonesia or even traveled abroad, making this program a valuable opportunity to broaden their perspectives,” Dr. Dewi explained.

Beyond cross-cultural exposure, the practicum also strengthens the readiness of UNIKOM International Relations students to enter the professional world. The International Relations Study Program prepares its graduates to become diplomats, international analysts, researchers, and negotiators. Foreign language proficiency, international mobility, and preparedness to engage with global issues are key competencies developed early in the curriculum.

The excellence of UNIKOM’s International Relations Program is further demonstrated through its strong ICT-based foundation—a hallmark of UNIKOM students—enabling them not only to master global issues but also to develop relevant technological capabilities, including through the flagship course Geographic Information System (GIS). “Through GIS, students learn to integrate information technology with geographic data to support analysis and international decision-making processes. This is what distinguishes UNIKOM’s International Relations Program from others,” Dr. Dewi added.

With its combination of international exposure, diplomatic competence, and technological capability, the International Relations Practicum stands as concrete evidence of UNIKOM’s commitment to preparing competitive, adaptive graduates ready to excel on the global stage.

UNIKOM Rector Attends Aptisi National Forum 2025, Strengthening Private Universities’s Commitment towards Higher Education Transformation for Indonesia Emas 2045

BANDUNG, UNIKOM – The Association of Indonesian Private Universities (APTISI) held a National Meeting and the Inauguration of the APTISI Central Executive Board for the 2025-2030 period at The Krakatau Grand Ballroom, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, Jakarta. With the theme “The Direction of Higher Education Toward Indonesia Emas 2045,” this strategic event was attended by more than 1,500 participants consisting of PTS leaders, APTISI regional administrators, and various national stakeholders. Rector of Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) as the Chair of APTISI for the West Java Region, Prof. 3 Prof. HC. Dr. Ir. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., also participated in this national forum.

The Advisory Board Executive of Forum Masyarakat Indonesia Emas 2045 (Formas), Hashim Djojohadikusumo, representing the President of the Republic of Indonesia, General TNI (Ret.) H. Prabowo Subianto, as the keynote speaker, emphasized that improving the welfare of the community, lecturers, and students, and the advancement of AI-based educational technology are important pillars for educational renewal and innovation in the modern era.

A number of ministers and state officials were also present as speakers, including the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, Prof. Brian Yuliarto, Ph.D., who also supported the role of private universities. Prof. Brian ensured that PTS plays a significant role in shaping a generation with integrity and competitiveness. He also emphasized the need to continue maintaining conducive conditions and complementing each other to make forums such as the National Forum a bridge for evaluation, improvement, and alignment of higher education programs.

Furthermore, Prof. Brian called for a spirit of collaboration among all private universities in Indonesia and expressed his belief that the vision of Indonesia Emas 2045 is not just a dream, but a common goal that must be achieved through collective work, innovation, and strengthened synergy between the government, universities, and industry.

On this occasion, the Chairman of APTISI, Dr. Ir. H. M. Budi Djatmiko, M.Si., M.E.I., also officially inaugurated the APTISI Central Executive Board for the 2025-2030 period. The inauguration was a moment of organizational consolidation to strengthen governance, improve services to members, and expand the contribution of private universities to national development.

The activity continued with presentations from speakers on the direction of national higher education strategic policies, including increasing human resource competitiveness, accelerating digital transformation, and strengthening cross-sector collaboration. Closing the event, Dr. Ir. H. M. Budi Djatmiko, M.Si., M.E.I., emphasized APTISI’s commitment to continue strengthening national coordination to provide high-quality higher education relevant to the nation’s development needs.

The presence of the UNIKOM Rector, who also served as Chairman of APTISI West Java in the forum, further strengthened the regional commitment to maintaining the sustainability and improving the quality of private universities, especially in West Java, in supporting national policy directions, while ensuring that private universities continue to develop, competitive, and make a real contribution to the realization of Indonesia Emas 2045. UNIVERSITAS PAMULANG, BANTEN, Conducts a Benchmarking Visit to Unikom: Strengthening Synergy in Human Resource Development and Higher Education Governance

BANDUNG, UNIKOM – Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) received a benchmarking visit from Universitas Pamulang (UNPAM) on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. Held in the Grand Meeting Room on the 15th floor of the UNIKOM Smart Building, the activity aimed to strengthen cooperation and share experiences in human resource management, university governance, and institutional development that is outstanding and adaptive to developments in educational technology.

Also present from Universitas Pamulang were Vice Rector II for Human Resources and Finance, Dr. M. Wildan S.S., M.A, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science, Yan Mhita Djaksana, S.Kom., M.Kom, and Head of the Human Resources Development Institute. Meanwhile, from UNIKOM, the Vice Rector II for Resources, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Agus Riyanto, S.T., M.T., CSBA, the Dean of the Postgraduate Faculty, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rahma Wahdiniwaty, Dra., M.Si., the Director of AP2SC, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bobi Soegoto, ST., M.Kom., the Director of General Administration, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Adeh Ratna Komala, S.E., M.Si., CERA., the Head of the Doctoral Program in Information Systems, Assoc. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Agus Riyanto expressed his appreciation for the initiative of Universitas Pamulang to visit UNIKOM. “This benchmarking activity focuses on human resource development, particularly in encouraging Universitas Pamulang lecturers to continue their studies to a higher level, both in the Doctoral Program in Information Systems and the Doctoral Program in Management Science at UNIKOM,” he said.

Furthermore, Assoc. Prof. Agus said that the activity was very beneficial for both universities, because through the discussions, it was clear that UNIKOM, as one of the private universities that offers doctoral programs, has become a destination for many campuses to establish cooperation in academic development and lecturer qualification improvement. It is expected that the follow-up to this benchmarking will result in concrete agreements in terms of human resource development, especially for UNPAM lecturers who plan to continue their studies at UNIKOM.

The Vice Rector II of Universitas Pamulang, Dr. M. Wildan S.S., M.A., expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome given by UNIKOM. “We see UNIKOM as one of the universities that has strong and innovative resource management and information systems. This visit is a valuable opportunity for us to learn firsthand the best practices in human resource management and university management,” he said.

The activity continued with an interactive discussion session between the two universities covering four main points, including: 1) Resource development, particularly improving the competence of lecturers and educational staff through training, certification, and career development programs. 2) Gathering information related to UNIKOM Doctoral Program in Information Systems, including the curriculum, accreditation process, and academic management strategies at the doctoral level. 3) The lecture system, which includes the application of technology-based learning, the integration of academic information systems, and the management of online and offline lectures. 4) Personnel management, which focuses on performance appraisal systems, digital-based HR management, and policies for the development of lecturers and administrative staff.

Through this activity, both universities demonstrated their commitment to build competitive higher education institutions that are responsive to the challenges of the digital era. This is a concrete step in strengthening collaboration between higher education institutions in Indonesia towards improving quality, competitiveness, and innovation in academic and managerial fields. Digital Marketing and Business Intelligence Training to Enhance Sales Performance in the West Java Thrifting Community

The Community Service Grant (PkM) Team from Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) successfully organized a training program titled “Digital Marketing and Business Intelligence Training to Enhance Sales Performance in the West Java Thrifting Community.”

The PkM team consisted of five members, including three lecturers and two participating students. One student came from the Informatics Engineering Study Program, and the other from the Master of Management Study Program.

The program, held on 18 October 2025, aimed to equip participants with knowledge and digital skills relevant to current market developments. This training was part of the PkM Grant funded by the Directorate of Research and Community Service, Directorate General of Research and Development, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, as a concrete manifestation of the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.

Participants came from various backgrounds, including members of the Thrifting Community, online sellers, live sellers, homemakers, and members of the public interested in online business. Their enthusiasm reflected the growing interest in developing digital entrepreneurship in today’s technological era.

The event was opened by the PkM Team Leader, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rahma Wahdiniwaty, Dra., M.Si., a lecturer in the Doctor of Management Science Program, UNIKOM Graduate School. In her remarks, she emphasized the importance of understanding shifting consumer behavior in the digital age and delivered the first session on Digital Marketing Strategies.

The next session was presented by Anna Dara Andriana, S.Kom., M.Kom., a lecturer from the Informatics Engineering Study Program at UNIKOM. She delivered material on Digital Marketing Advertisements (Ads), focusing on effective and efficient ways to reach broader target markets through various paid platforms.

The final session was delivered by Gentisya Tri Mardiani, S.Kom., M.Kom., a lecturer from UNIKOM’s Informatics Engineering Study Program, who discussed the implementation of Business Intelligence (BI). She explained how BI helps business actors analyze sales data and market trends, enabling more targeted and data-driven decision-making. During the practical session, participants were also guided to try a simple BI application for marketplace data analysis, providing valuable hands-on experience.

In addition to the PkM core team, the activity was supported by Prof. Dr. Ir. H. M. Yani Syafei, M.T., CSBA., an Industrial Engineering lecturer who delivered material on the thrifting industry, and Geraldi Catur Pamuji, S.Kom., M.Kom., a lecturer in Digitalization and IT who assisted participants in using BI tools for online sales data analysis.

This training is expected to generate a significant impact in improving the digital capabilities and economic competitiveness of business practitioners, particularly the thrifting community in West Java, in alignment with the “DIKTISAINTEK BERDAMPAK” vision of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology.

The team extends its gratitude to the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology through the Directorate General of Research and Development for funding the 2025 Community-Based Empowerment Scheme under the Community Service Program. Appreciation is also given to the West Java Chapter of the Thrifting Community as a collaborative partner, as well as to Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) for its full support and facilities throughout the implementation of this 2025 PkM grant program.

UNIKOM Rector and West Java Aptisi Chairman was Invited as a Speaker at Politektik Al-Islam Bandung Graduation: Calling for Strengthening PTS Synergy through the 2025 Aptisi National Conference Declaration

BANDUNG, UNIKOM – The Rector of Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) and Chairman of the Association of Indonesian Private Higher Education Institutions (APTISI) for the West Java Region, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., accepted the invitation and served as a speaker at the Open Senate Meeting of the Politeknik Al-Islam Bandung (PAIB) for the Diploma III Associate Degree Graduation Ceremony for the 2024/2025 Academic Year on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, held at the Horison Ultima Hotel Bandung.

The solemn graduation ceremony was also attended by the Head of LLDIKTI Region IV West Java and Banten, Dr. Lukman, S.T., M.Hum, and the leaders of Politeknik Al-Islam Bandung, including the Chair of the Senate, Dian Nuramdiani, S.Pd., M.Si., Director of PAIB Dr. Shiane Hanako Sheba, MKM., MCE., Chairman of the RSI KSWI Foundation, Dr. H. Dede Setiapriagung, Sp.Rad., MH.Kes, and the West Java Health Office. This event was an important moment for the graduates to celebrate their academic success and mark the beginning of their professional journey.

On this occasion, Prof. Eddy expressed his high appreciation to Politeknik Al-Islam Bandung for its dedication to producing competent experts. As Chairman of APTISI West Java, Prof. Eddy also emphasized that private universities have a strategic role in developing excellent human resources capable of responding to the challenges of the times.

Furthermore, Prof. Eddy highlighted the importance of implementing the 10 Bandung Declarations resulting from the 2025 APTISI National Conference (Munas) held at the UNIKOM Campus as a policy direction and joint commitment of all private universities in Indonesia. In his speech, he emphasized the important points of the declaration, including: 1) The government is obliged to distribute 20% of the education budget from the state budget fairly to all educational institutions, including private universities, without discrimination. 2) The distribution of KIP Kuliah scholarships must be transparent and free from political intervention. 3) A comprehensive evaluation of the implementation of PTN-BH is needed to prevent the commercialization of education. 4) Competency tests and certification of graduates must be conducted by accredited universities or official institutions. 5) Extending the retirement age of lecturers and professors at private universities is important to maintain academic continuity and knowledge transfer. 6) The government needs to provide subsidies for study program accreditation so that the quality of higher education can be improved without burdening campuses. 7) Build a healthy and inclusive higher education ecosystem between public and private universities to support the Indonesia Emas 2045 vision. 8) Encourage fiscal and taxation policies that are more favorable to education providers. 9) Increase the protection of the education sector from the negative impacts of technological disruption and strengthen safe and inclusive digital transformation. 10) Strengthen synergy and collaboration between private universities, public universities, and local governments in improving the competitiveness of graduates, research, and national innovation.

At the end of his speech, Prof. Eddy also announced that the 2025 APTISI National Forum will be held on November 17-18, 2025, at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), Jakarta, which is planned to be attended by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto. APTISI West Java Region will also hold a Regional Meeting (Muswil) on December 18, 2025, in Bandung as a follow-up to strengthening the network and collaboration of universities in the West Java region.

Corelab Seminar: “The Future of the Sustainable Media Industry” Collaboration between the Communication Science Program of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Unikom, and Promedia Teknologi Indonesia (PTI)

BANDUNG, UNIKOM — In facing the ever-evolving digital era, the creative industry in the field of digital media has become one of the fastest growing and most influential sectors. By understanding all these aspects, students and the younger generation can manage social media professionally, not only producing interesting content, but also content that is educational, positively influential, and sustainable. To that end, the Communication Studies Program collaborated with Promedia Teknologi Indonesia (PTI) to organize a Content Creator Laboratory (CORELAB) Seminar entitled “Learn and Discover Together How the Future of the Media Industry Can Be Sustainable” on Monday, November 3, 2025.

The event, held at the Miracle Auditorium on the 4th floor of UNIKOM Campus I, served as an inspirational space for students to understand the dynamics of the modern media industry and hone their skills in managing digital media and becoming professional content creators, especially for fifth-semester students of the UNIKOM Communication Studies Program.

The Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) UNIKOM, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dewi, in her opening remarks said that this activity was a core subject for the UNIKOM Communication Science Study Program because it was very relevant to the field of communication science and could be developed through further collaboration in various other forms of activities. Furthermore, she expressed her gratitude to Promedia Teknologi Indonesia (PTI) for the collaboration and hoped that in the future, more UNIKOM alumni would be able to contribute and be absorbed into the industry. Also attending the seminar were the Head of the Communication Science Study Program, Dr. Manap Solihat, M.Si., the Head of the Master of Communication Science Study Program, Dr. Desayu Eka Surya, S.Sos., M.Si., CICS., Director of Public Relations and Protocol at UNIKOM, Dr. Ir. Yuni Mogot, M.Si., CPR., as well as lecturers from the Communication Studies Program at FISIP UNIKOM.

The Chief Executive, Andika Noer Fiqri Romadoni, expressed his appreciation for the support from various parties who contributed to the success of the event. “Through this seminar, the Communication Studies Program at FISIP UNIKOM, through the Department of Cooperation and Industry, collaborated with Promedia Teknologi Indonesia in organizing the CORELAB program. We hope that this activity can help students not only understand communication theory but also prepare them to enter the creative industry with relevant digital skills,” he said.

The CEO of Promedia Teknologi Indonesia (PTI), Agus Sulistriyono, explained in his speech that CORELAB is an important space for students to understand the dynamics of digital media from a professional industry perspective. He also emphasized the fundamental difference between a journalist and a content creator today.

Three competent speakers were presented at the seminar, namely: 1). Agus Sulistriyono, CEO of Promedia Teknologi Indonesia (PTI), with the topic “Media Landscape and Content Creator Trends.” In his presentation, he explained the importance of understanding changes in media consumption patterns and strategies for building authentic personal branding in the digital space. 2). Agil Hari, Media Network Promedia Teknologi Indonesia, presented the topic “SEO-Friendly Article Writing.” He emphasized the need to write content that is both informative and search engine friendly so that the message can be conveyed more widely. 3). Dr. Olih Solihin, M.I.Kom., Lecturer in Communication Science at UNIKOM, with the topic “Building a New Media Universe that is Ethical, Innovative, and Sustainable.” He highlighted the importance of ethical responsibility in digital communication practices.

The “Sayang Anak” Team and the “Saltstudio Codelabs” Team from UNIKOM Achieve Success at GEMASTIK XVIII 2025

BANDUNG, UNIKOM — Students from the Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) have once again achieved impressive results at the prestigious National Student Exhibition for Information and Communication Technology (GEMASTIK) XVIII in 2025. Two teams from the UNIKOM CodeLabs Division achieved success at the national level, namely the “Sayang Anak” Team, which won 2nd place nationally in the Software Development Division, and the “Saltstudio CodeLabs” Team, which became National Finalists in the Game Application Development Division.

GEMASTIK is a prestigious competition organized by the Indonesian Talent Development Center, National Achievement Center, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek). The event serves as a platform for developing student competencies in the field of information and communication technology while encouraging the emergence of young innovators in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution towards Society 5.0.

In the Software Development Division, 376 teams participated, while the Game Application Development Division was joined by 227 teams from various universities in Indonesia. Only the top 20 teams from each division advanced to the final round, which was held online from October 27–30, 2025.

The Sayang Anak team consisted of Ariq Hikari Hidayat (Computer Engineering), Muhammad Favian Jiwani (Computer Engineering), and Regia Qolbu Rivita Atmowidjaja (Information Systems), under the guidance of UNIKOM Computer Engineering lecturers Adam Mukharil Bachtiar, S.Kom., M.T., Ph.D., and Dian Dharmayanti, S.T., M.Kom.

The UNIKOM “Sayang Anak” team, with its innovative product Snailly, secured second place after undergoing a presentation and question-and-answer session with the judging panel. Snailly is a cross-platform application designed to help parents monitor their children’s internet activities in a safe and educational manner. This application is equipped with three main features, namely Surfior to filter negative content, Notifior to provide notifications when children try to access dangerous sites, and Reportior to record children’s online activity history. Using the Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm, Snailly is able to classify risky sites accurately and efficiently.

Meanwhile, the Saltstudio CodeLabs UNIKOM team also achieved a proud accomplishment by becoming National Finalists in the Game Application Development Division with their work titled “Doko”. This mobile-based game application combines Augmented Reality (AR) and Machine Learning (ML) technologies to teach children aged 6–15 about the importance of sorting and recycling waste. Doko offers an interactive and educational gaming experience with a daily mission system, mini-games, and attractive character customization features.

The Saltstudio CodeLabs team consists of students from the UNIKOM Informatics Engineering Study Program, namely Apriani Cahya Bowo Setiadi, Muhammad Ikhsan Fadhillah, and Rizki Ilham Putra Pratama, who showed extraordinary creativity in designing a child-friendly educational game with high social value. The Head of the UNIKOM CodeLabs Division, Dian Dharmayanti, S.T., M.Kom., expressed her appreciation for the achievements of both teams. “This achievement is a real manifestation of the creativity and collaboration of UNIKOM students in creating useful digital solutions. Both Snailly and Doko show how technological innovation can meet the needs of society while providing educational value,” she said.

The success of the Sayang Anak Team and the Saltstudio CodeLabs Team is real proof of UNIKOM commitment to fostering a research and innovation ecosystem in the field of information technology. Appreciation for Unikom Commitment to Digital Transformation: Head of LLDIKTI Region IV Encourages Unikom Graduates to Contribute and make an Impact on Society

BANDUNG, UNIKOM — The 44th Graduation Ceremony of the Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) for the Even Semester of the 2024-2025 Academic Year was held solemnly and meaningfully at the Harris Convention Hall, Citylink Bandung, on Saturday and Sunday, November 1-2, 2025. The event marked a historic moment for 1,215 graduates from the master’s, bachelor’s, and diploma levels who were officially inaugurated in the Open Senate Session of UNIKOM.

The presence of the Head of LLDIKTI Region IV West Java and Banten, Dr. Lukman, S.T., M.Hum., was highlighted the first day of the graduation ceremony. Dr. Lukman congratulated the parents and graduates and expressed his high appreciation for UNIKOM as a technology-based university that continues to innovate and contribute to the improvement of higher education quality in Indonesia. Dr. Lukman also invited the graduates to sing along to one of UNIKOM’s collaborative works in the film “JUMBO”. In line with the screening, Dr. Lukman said that there will be times when we face difficulties, but we must not forget to always believe that success will come in the future.

At the end of his speech, Dr. Lukman advised the graduates who had studied at UNIKOM to always uphold the good name of their families, university, and nation wherever they may be. He emphasized the importance of being realistic in achieving goals and following every step of goodness. “As our leader said, you must be able to become a clear spring that benefits the lives of those around you. No matter how small the contribution, you can make a tremendous impact,” he concluded.

The Head of the West Java Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Asep Sutandar, A.Md.IP., S.Sos., M.Si, was also present. Meanwhile, on the second day, the graduation ceremony was also honored by the presence of international guests, including Prof. Bettina Meiser (University of New South Wales, Australia); Debbie Plath (Australian Catholic University); Erika Matano (JICA Japan); and Mimi Haryani Tasani, M.Eng. (Sultan Zainal Abidin University, Malaysia).

The Rector of UNIKOM and Chairman of APTISI West Java, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., emphasized that this graduation ceremony marked the beginning of the graduates’ journey to success. Furthermore, Prof. Eddy also conveyed a number of directives and inspirational messages for the graduates to face the future with enthusiasm and integrity, emphasizing the importance of the following: 1) Always prioritize things that are truly important. 2) Cultivate a diligent and persistent attitude in facing and overcoming every challenge. 3) Instill discipline within oneself as the foundation for success. 4) Be able to manage time well through effective time management. 5) Have strong determination to achieve goals. 6) Maintain high motivation in every step taken. 7) Be energetic so that your body and mind are always fit. 8) Be oriented towards clear and focused achievements. 9). Cultivate a never-give-up spirit in facing various situations. 10) Be adaptive to every change and condition you face. 11) Instill the value of honesty in every action. 12) Be responsible for every decision and action taken. 13) Have an open mind to new ideas and opportunities. 14) Maintain a positive attitude in thinking and acting. 15) Cultivate creativity and innovation skills. 16) Use intelligence wisely to solve problems. 17) Be smart in seeing and taking advantage of opportunities. 18) Be able to manage various resources, whether human, machine, or material, effectively. 19) Never forget to always pray as a spiritual foundation in every step of life.

The graduation ceremony proceeded smoothly and solemnly, concluding with the presentation of flowers by representatives of the best graduates to the Rector and parents as a symbol of gratitude and appreciation. Through the 44th Graduation Ceremony, UNIKOM reaffirmed its position as an excellent and globally competitive technology-based university, and strengthened its synergy with LLDIKTI and other strategic partners towards digital transformation in higher education.
