UNIKOM and Nobel Indonesia Institute of Technology and Business Strengthen Research and Teaching Quality through Academic Collaboration
Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) continues to strengthen its national academic collaboration network through the follow-up implementation of cooperation with the Nobel Indonesia Institute of Technology and Business (ITB Nobel Indonesia) in Makassar. This collaboration is part of the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between both institutions, focusing on improving the quality of research, teaching, and community service as concrete outcomes of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.
The Directorate of Research, Community Engagement, and Empowerment (DP3M) of UNIKOM, Dr. Irawan Afrianto, S.T., M.T., stated that this partnership is expected to enhance collaborative networks, improve academic quality, and expand joint research and community service opportunities. The collaboration aims to produce Tri Dharma outputs that can be published in reputable journals indexed by SINTA, Scopus, and BIMA, providing mutual benefits for both universities.
Dean of the Graduate School of ITB Nobel Indonesia, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Firman, S.E., M.Si., emphasized that the implementation of the MoU and MoA represents a concrete effort to strengthen research collaboration and community engagement. During the visit, the ITB Nobel Indonesia Graduate School team engaged in intensive discussions with UNIKOM on academic governance, research quality improvement strategies, community service collaboration models, and the application of higher education quality assurance standards. The benchmarking activities are expected to serve as references for policy formulation, curriculum development, and quality-oriented academic programs at ITB Nobel Indonesia.
Prof. Ahmad Firman also expressed his aspiration for ITB Nobel Indonesia to achieve an “Excellent” accreditation status like UNIKOM. Currently accredited as “Very Good,” ITB Nobel Indonesia remains motivated to continue learning and developing through collaboration with more advanced institutions.
Meanwhile, the Dean of the Graduate School of UNIKOM, Dr. Rahma Wahdiniwaty, Dra., M.Si., welcomed the collaboration and expressed enthusiasm for the Tri Dharma partnership. She hopes that the cooperation, including the implementation of internationalization initiatives (IA), will be realized effectively so that the signed MoU and MoA generate sustainable academic and institutional impact.

Unikom Receives an Appreciation from the Indonesian Minister of Manpower for its Strategic Role in the Wordskills Asia Taipei 2025 Event
BANDUNG, UNIKOM — On Wednesday, December 24, 2025, Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) received an appreciation in the form of an award certificate from the Indonesian Minister of Manpower for its contribution as a training center partner in the WorldSkills Asia Taipei 2025 event. The award was presented during the Award Ceremony for the Achievement and Implementation of WorldSkills Asia Taipei 2025. Held at the Grand Mercure Jakarta Kemayoran Hotel, the event was attended by the Indonesian Delegation, chief experts, experts, and participants who made achievements at WorldSkills Asia Taipei 2025.
On this occasion, the Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia presented award certificates to Indonesian competitors and experts as a form of appreciation for their dedication, professionalism, and achievements in bringing pride to the nation at the Asian level. The award presentation was combined with the 2025 National Sending Organization coordination meeting. The appreciation given to UNIKOM was also inseparable from the brilliant achievements of UNIKOM students. Previously, a student from the Information Systems Study Program, Rash Asyari Amyris Thalib, won a gold medal at WorldSkills Asia Taipei 2025, surpassing competitors from Japan and South Korea in the IT Network Systems Administration category. UNIKOM has also won several other championships, including the WorldSkills competition at the global level in the field of Digital & ICT in Lyon, France, in 2024; WorldSkills ASEAN 2025 in Manila, Philippines; and many more. These achievements serve as concrete evidence of the effectiveness of the training, development, and institutional support systems implemented by UNIKOM as a partner in the national training center.
The Head of the International Class & Training Division, Directorate of International Programs and Vice Rector IV for Digital Technology & ICT, International Programs & Center of Excellence at UNIKOM, Angga Friyanto, S.Kom., M.T., who is also the coach of the UNIKOM team, attended the invitation to receive the award, expressing gratitude for the recognition directly presented by the Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Yassierli, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. He stated that the award is a recognition of UNIKOM’s active role alongside other institutions in supporting the development of Indonesia’s workforce competencies to international standards. “In particular, the Indonesian Minister of Manpower expressed appreciation to UNIKOM as a partner in organizing the WorldSkills Asia Taipei 2025 training center. This is a source of pride and a great responsibility for UNIKOM in supporting the improvement of the competitiveness of Indonesian human resources,” said Angga.
In 2025, UNIKOM will be entrusted by the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia as one of the national training centers through a strategic cooperation scheme. In this role, UNIKOM has the main task of preparing participants from Indonesia to be ready to compete at the Asian level through the implementation of intensive training programs, the provision of facilities and infrastructure, and the application of international standards used in WorldSkills competitions.
UNIKOM involvement in WorldSkills Asia Taipei 2025 reflects the institution’s commitment to strengthening technology-based vocational competencies, digital innovation, and the development of excellent human resources that are adaptive to global industry needs. Supporting Regional Cultural Preservation, UNIKOM Attends Jaipong Dance Festival Awards Night Galuh Pakuan Cup Series IX
BANDUNG, UNIKOM — Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) demonstrated its commitment to supporting the preservation of local arts and culture by attending the Jaipong Dance Festival Award Night for the Galuh Pakuan Cup Series IX National Level, which was held in conjunction with the Inauguration of the Galuh Pakuan Karatuan Institution, on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at the Gotong Royong Sports Hall, Subang, West Java.
On this occasion, the Head of the Public Relations and Information Communication Division of UNIKOM, Arif Try Cahyadi, M.Ds., representing the Rector of UNIKOM, Prof. 3 Prof. HC. Dr. Ir. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., was present as a form of institutional support for cultural preservation activities and strengthening the role of the younger generation in preserving traditional arts.
The Jaipong Dance Festival Galuh Pakuan Cup Series IX is known as one of the largest Jaipong Dance Festivals in West Java. In the 2025, the event was attended by 4,203 dancers from 27 regencies and cities in West Java, as well as from various regions across Indonesia. This reflects the enthusiasm and widespread participation of the younger generation in regional arts and culture.
A number of traditional and cultural figures were also present at the event, including Rahiyang Mandalajati, Evi Silviadi Sangga Buana Raja of the Galuh Pakuan Palace Traditional Institution, Girang Hata Galuh Pakuan, who is also the owner of Donting Management and the main sponsor of the Galuh Pakuan Cup, Dewi Kandiati. Also present were the chief judges and jury members, the Managing Director of LPP RRI represented by the Head of RRI Bandung Station, as well as leaders of universities other than UNIKOM, including Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) and Institut Seni Budaya Indonesia (ISBI).
The event began with karawitan music combined with the Mapag dance performed by the Soca Niscala Sunda Studio, as a dance to welcome guests of honor. The dance specifically depicted the joy of Galuh Pakuan in welcoming special moments, especially cultural festivals.
The Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Design ofUPI, Dr. Agus Budiman, M.Pd., representing the Rector of UPI, emphasized in his opening remarks that the festival has a strategic impact, not only in preserving culture and instilling local wisdom values, but also in ensuring the continuity of cultural traditions among the younger generation. He also expressed his appreciation to all participants, especially the finalists, for their contribution to preserving and developing traditional arts.
The Head of the Public Relations and Information Communication Division of UNIKOM, Arif Try Cahyadi, M.Ds., said that the festival was a strategic platform for artists to express and appreciate cultural works. The Jaipongan dance performance held was clear evidence of the stakeholders’ love for cultural preservation. Furthermore, he said, “This activity is expected to encourage the younger generation to take an active role in preserving culture, especially Sundanese culture, so that it remains alive and known on the national and international stage. Recognition of the richness of local traditions is very important as a national identity. Through this festival, it is hoped that children and the younger generation can grow up with strong Sundanese values as the foundation of their character and cultural identity in facing the developments of the times,” he concluded.
The event then continued with the awarding of prizes to the finalists who achieved success in various categories, such as the beginner group champion, creative social media video, and a number of other categories.UNIKOM participation in the Galuh Pakuan Festival reaffirms the university’s support to preserve local customs, culture, and arts. This is in line with UNIKOM commitment to fostering a generation of young people who are outstanding, have strong character, and possess cultural awareness as the foundation for Indonesia Emas generation. UNIKOM and Sekeloa Health Center Strengthen Health Collaboration through Free Health Check-Up Program
BANDUNG, UNIKOM — The commitment to improving the health quality of the academic community has once again been realized through collaboration between the Sekeloa Health Center in Bandung and Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM). Through the Directorate of General Administration Directorate, the collaboration takes the form of a Free Health Check (CKG) program for all faculty members, educational staff, and students as part of health promotion and prevention efforts within the university environment. The activity was held for two days, on December 11 and 15, 2025, at Room L.025, 1st Floor, Smart Building, Jl. Dipati Ukur No. 112-116 Bandung.
The CKG activity was held as a follow-up to the Circular Letter of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia regarding the improvement of the implementation of free health checks for the community, while also emphasizing the strategic role of higher education institutions as active partners of government health service facilities. Through the role of the Directorate of General Administration, UNIKOM ensured that institutional coordination, facilities, and administrative support ran optimally for the smooth running of health services for the entire academic community.
In an interview, dr. Andri Sandra, the person in charge of the activity from the Sekeloa Community Health Center, Bandung, who was also on duty at the event, said that the implementation of free health checks was a follow-up to government directives that currently continue to encourage increased public awareness of the importance of maintaining health. He added that this was not the first time such an activity had been carried out at UNIKOM, as it had previously been done in 2023. Concluding his statement, dr. Andri hoped that the free health check-up program could be held regularly by the Sekeloa Community Health Center so that its benefits could reach a wider community, not limited to the university environment alone.
Vice Rector II for Resources of UNIKOM, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Agus Riyanto, S.T., M.T., CSBA., expressed his hope for collaboration between UNIKOM and the Sekeloa Community Health Center, Bandung, in organizing free health check-up services for two days, on December 11 and 15, 2025. “This activity is intended for the entire UNIKOM academic community, including lecturers, educational staff, and students. I hope that the entire academic community can take advantage of the free health check-up facilities provided by the government so that the health of the UNIKOM community can be maintained.” Furthermore, Assoc. Prof. Agus mentioned that this activity also represents UNIKOM’s support for the government’s program to improve the health of the Indonesian people towards Indonesia Emas 2045.
During the event, participants received comprehensive health check-up services, including height and weight measurements, blood pressure checks, eye tests, blood glucose laboratory tests, dental health checks, and health counseling services. All services were handled directly by professional health workers from the Sekeloa Community Health Center in accordance with integrated primary health care service standards.
The collaboration between the Sekeloa Community Health Center and UNIKOM through the Directorate of General Administration reflects a systematic institutional approach to building a healthy campus environment. This cross-sector synergy is expected to become a sustainable model in supporting the improvement of the academic community’s health and strengthening the quality of productive and competitive human resources. UNIKOM Hosts Government Administration Supervision Activity Deputy Chair of Commission V of the West Java Provincial Legislative Council: “Support the Gen Z Leadership Program”
BANDUNG, UNIKOM — Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM), as a university that always welcomes and fully supports human resource development, especially for the younger generation or Generation Z, hosted a seminar themed “School to Be Leader for Gen Z” on Saturday, December 20, 2025. This activity was an initiative of the Vice Chair of Commission V of the West Java Provincial DPRD, Hj. Siti Muntamah, S.A.P., a representative of the people from the Bandung City–Cimahi City Electoral District, as part of efforts to increase the West Java Youth Development Index (IPP).
Held in the Auditorium on the 17th floor of the UNIKOM Smart Building, the event was attended by student council members from high schools and vocational schools (SMK) in Bandung and Cimahi, with a focus on strengthening the leadership capacity of Generation Z from school age. Through this forum, participants were equipped with insights, motivation, and leadership values that are adaptive to social challenges and developments of the times.
UNIKOM Vice Rector I for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Hj. Umi Narimawati, Dra., S.E., M.Si., in her opening remarks emphasized the importance of character building and leadership for the younger generation as the main foundation in developing superior and competitive human resources in the future. Additionally, Prof. Umi advised participants that UNIKOM welcomes students who wish to continue their studies at UNIKOM through scholarships. Furthermore, Prof. Umi said that this activity was a valuable opportunity to contribute to the advancement of the younger generation. She appreciated the initiative of Hj. Siti Muntamah, S.A.P., who consistently presents inspiring programs with great attention to the development of young people’s potential. “Through this activity, students are expected to not only gain leadership skills, but also religious values, including religious learning and love for the Qur’an, so that in the future they will be able to grow into leaders with strong character and integrity,” she concluded.
As the initiator of the activity, Hj. Siti Muntamah, S.A.P., pays great attention to the development of students’ potential as a strategic asset for regional development. In her speech, she stated that around 90 percent of the activity participants had a strong desire to continue their education to college. She also expressed her appreciation for the information provided by Prof. Umi regarding the high enthusiasm of students to continue their education to a higher level, especially at UNIKOM. Hj. Siti expressed her pride that UNIKOM provides various scholarship opportunities that can be utilized by students, as well as opening opportunities to work and continue their studies abroad through programs offered by UNIKOM.
Furthermore, Hj. Siti emphasized that this activity is part of a long-term program and is the first step in motivating students. Therefore, she hopes that this activity can further strengthen the determination of students to continue their higher education, especially at UNIKOM, as part of the effort to prepare a competitive young generation that can contribute to the future of the region.
The seminar was a real manifestation of the legislative role in promoting structured and sustainable youth development, while strengthening the synergy between representatives of the people and educational institutions. In this case, UNIKOM, as a higher education institution, welcomed and fully supported the implementation of this activity as part of the campus’ contribution to the implementation of the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi (Three Pillars of Higher Education), particularly in the development of human resources, especially the younger generation. West Java APTISI Regional Conference 2025: Prof. Eddy Elected as West Java APTISI Chairman for the 2025–2030 Period, Promoting Transformative Leadership Strategy to Strengthen PTS
BANDUNG, UNIKOM — The Association of Indonesian Private Universities (APTISI) West Java Region continued the series of the 2025 APTISI West Java Regional Conference (Muswil) with the implementation of the Second Session, which focused on the organizational deliberation agenda, on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at the Grand Pasundan Convention Hotel, Bandung.
The second session was the core of the 2025 muswil, with the main agenda being a plenary session that was carried out gradually and systematically. The plenary session included the establishment of conference rules, the ratification of the deliberation agenda, the submission and discussion of the accountability report of the previous West Java APTISI leadership, and the presentation of general views from conference participants.
The session was chaired by a chairperson appointed through a consensus mechanism and attended by representatives of private university leaders who are also members of APTISI West Java. In this forum, participants actively provided input, evaluations, and recommendations on the organization’s performance, particularly regarding the implementation of work programs, institutional strengthening, and APTISI’s response to the dynamics of national higher education policy.
The activity continued with a plenary session agenda that included the discussion and determination of strategic recommendations for the 2025 West Java APTISI Regional Conference, which were directed at strengthening the governance of private universities, improving academic quality and accreditation, developing human resources, and strengthening networks and collaboration between private universities and with the government.
At this important moment in the plenary session, the Chairman of APTISI Central, Dr. Ir. H.M. Budi Djatmiko, M.Si., M.E.I., officially announced the results of the election for the Chairman of APTISI West Java, which was decided by acclamation, appointing the Rector of Universitas Komputer Indonesia, Prof. 3 Prof HC. Dr. Ir. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., as the Chairperson of APTISI West Java for the 2025–2030 period.
The unanimous decision was greeted with enthusiasm and full support from all participants of the Regional Conference. The atmosphere of the forum was solemn and full of a spirit of togetherness, marked by applause from all attendees as a sign of the solidarity and collective trust of APTISI West Java members in Prof. Eddy’s leadership, which is considered to have been proven and consistent in bringing the organization in a more progressive direction.
Prof. Eddy expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the trust that had been given to him again by all APTISI West Java members, especially the 45 private universities that had worked together and contributed to supporting APTISI. Prof. Eddy also emphasized his commitment to strengthen APTISI’s role as a forum for strategic collaboration among private universities. “APTISI must continue to be a solid, adaptive, and solution-oriented space for togetherness. Going forward, our focus is to encourage quality improvement, competitiveness, and the real contribution of private universities in supporting the vision of Indonesia Emas 2045,” he concluded.
The entire series of sessions proceeded in an orderly, democratic, and constructive manner, reflecting the collective commitment of APTISI West Java members to maintain the solidarity of the organization and encourage private universities to be superior, competitive, and sustainable.
Through the implementation of the Second Session, the 2025 West Java APTISI Regional Conference is expected to produce decisions and strategic policy formulations as a foundation for the next management with a commitment to move forward together, progress together, and succeed together while emphasizing the contribution of private universities in the development of higher education and the strengthening of Indonesia’s human resources towards Indonesia Emas 2045. APTISI West Java Begins 2025 Regional Conference with National Seminar on Strategies to Strengthen the Competitiveness of Private Higher Education Institutions
BANDUNG, UNIKOM — The Association of Private Higher Education Institutions of Indonesia (APTISI) West Java Region officially begins the series of activities for the 2025 APTISI West Java Provincial Regional Conference (Muswil) with the first session in the form of a National Seminar on Thursday, December 18, 2025. Held at the Grand Pasundan Convention Hotel in Bandung, the event served as an initial strategic forum prior to the organizational deliberation agenda, as well as a platform for consolidating ideas to strengthen the role of private higher education institutions (PTS) in national development.
The series of activities began with a speech by the Chair of the Committee and Organizing Committee of the 2025 West Java APTISI Muswil, Prof. Dr. Umi Narimawati, M.Si., who conveyed the theme of MUSWIL 2025, which is “Walking Together, Moving Forward Together, and Succeeding Together: Realizing Excellent and Impactful PTS”. She further explained, “This theme reflects our enthusiasm to advance PTS in West Java, moving forward with a clear vision and strong organizational management, progressing with innovation and adaptation to higher education policies, and succeeding together in presenting excellent, competitive PTS that have a real impact on society, the nation, and the state,” she concluded.
Meanwhile, the Chair of APTISI West Java and Rector of the Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM), Prof. 3. Prof HC. Dr. Ir. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., expressed his deepest gratitude to all university leaders and foundations that helped make the 2025 West Java APTISI Regional Conference a success, which was attended by around 45 universities. Furthermore, Prof. Eddy emphasized, “Let us make APTISI a forum to voice our aspirations to the government and stakeholders at the central level, so that the hopes of private universities can be conveyed through APTISI. On this occasion, there were also speakers who shared their knowledge and experiences, which were certainly very useful, especially for private universities that are in the process of becoming Excellent Private Universities,” said Prof. Eddy.
The 2025 West Java Province APTISI Regional Conference was officially opened by the Chairman of APTISI, Dr. Ir. H. M. Budi Djatmiko, M.Si., MEI., marked by the striking of a gong. In his speech, he expressed his appreciation to the three best APTISI chairpersons, one of whom was the Chairperson of APTISI West Java Region who is also the Rector of the Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM), Prof. 3 Prof HC. Dr. Ir. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T. Furthermore, he presented material on the transformation of APTISI towards Indonesia Emas 2045. He emphasized that in entering Indonesia Emas 2045, the biggest challenge lies in the readiness of the Indonesian education system in facing technological developments. Therefore, change is a necessity, considering that the era of disruption is upon us and demands readiness to produce superior human resources.
After the opening, the series of activities continued with a National Seminar as part of the first session of the Regional Conference. The seminar presented a number of guests of honor and national speakers, including the Special Envoy of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Fadel Muhammad Al-Haddar, in his capacity representing Hashim Djojohadikusumo, who delivered a keynote speech on the development of digital infrastructure and affordable internet facilities to boost the quality of Indonesian private universities.
In addition, the seminar also featured Asep Sutandar, A.Md.IP., S.Sos., M.Si., Head of the West Java Provincial Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, and the Rector of Bandung University of Technology, Dr. Muchammad Nasser, S.Kom., M.T., who discussed the opportunities and challenges of sending students on internships abroad. The seminar session was also enriched with presentations on best practices from the leaders of accredited private universities in West Java, including the leaders of President University, Bandung Islamic University, National Institute of Technology, Maranatha Christian University, Rajawali Health Institute, and Gunung Jati Cirebon University.
The first session of the 2025 West Java APTISI Regional Conference underscored APTISI’s role as a strategic partner of the government in the development of private higher education. The national seminar is expected to serve as a conceptual and policy foundation before entering the regional deliberation agenda, thereby enabling the generation of constructive recommendations and decisions for improving the quality and competitiveness of private universities, particularly in West Java Province. The Organizing Committee of Aptisi West Java 2025 Regional Conference Holds Strategic Audience with Pikiran Rakyat Media
BANDUNG, UNIKOM — To finalize preparations for the 2025 West Java Regional Conference (MUSWIL) of the Association of Private Universities in Indonesia (APTISI), the Committee held a strategic audience at the Pikiran Rakyat Media Headquarters on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, located at Jalan Asia Afrika No. 77, Bandung. This meeting was an important step in coordinating the publication of the MUSWIL agenda to ensure it is widely spread through trusted mass media, especially in West Java.
The Organizing Committee team was welcomed by the Chairperson of Pikiran Rakyat Foundation, Puspatriani Agustina, and General Manager, Gatot Riyadi, S.T., M.M., along with the editorial and business teams at Pikiran Rakyat. Gatot Riyadi expressed his hope that the implementation of the 2025 APTISI West Java MUSWIL would run smoothly and make a positive contribution to strengthening the role of private universities in West Java. He emphasized Pikiran Rakyat’s commitment to continuing to support strategic activities in the field of education through informative, objective, and balanced reporting.

This optimism is based on the collective determination of all parties involved to move forward together, make progress together, and succeed together for the advancement of private higher education in West Java in accordance with the theme of the 2025 MUSWIL, “Moving Forward, Progressing, and Succeeding Together with APTISI West Java to Create Excellent and Impactful PTS.”
Also present at the event accompanying Prof. Umi were the Treasurer of APTISI West Java, Dr. Abdul Ghani Sidqi, S.E., M.Si., Director of Public Relations and Protocol of UNIKOM, Dr. Ir. Yuni Mogot, M.Si., CPR., and Head of the Public Relations and Public Information Division, Arif Try Cahyadi, M.Ds.
Through this meeting, the Organizing Committee of the 2025 APTISI West Java Regional Conference demonstrated their commitment to managing professional and well-planned public communication. Synergy between APTISI, higher education institutions, and the media is expected to strengthen the reach of information related to the 2025 West Java APTISI Regional Conference and encourage active participation from higher education stakeholders at the regional and national levels.
