BANDUNG, UNIKOM — In an effort to ensure readiness for the International Conference on Information Technology and Electrical Engineering (INCITEST) and The International Student Conference on Earth and Environmental Research (ISCEER) 2025, Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) through the Directorate of International Programs, Directorate of Journals and Scientific Publications, Directorate of Public Relations and Protocol, Directorate of Application Development, Training, and Service Center (AP2SC), the Directorate of Infranet, and the INCITEST UNIKOM 2025 Organizing Committee, conducted a rehearsal on Monday, October 20, 2025. The activity took place in the Auditorium on the 17th floor of the Smart Building, UNIKOM, and was an important part of the technical consolidation and final coordination process ahead of the main event to be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025.
The Director of International Programs and Chair of INCITEST and ISCEER 2025, Dr. Senny Luckyardi, S.P., M.M., expressed her gratitude for the smooth running of the event. “Alhamdulillah, the entire series of events went well. The main challenge we faced was the simultaneous implementation of several major events, which required effective time management and optimal coordination,” she said.
Furthermore, Dr. Senny added that this year’s event ran even better and had a stronger international flavor. According to her, this event can be a strategic means for UNIKOM to strengthen its steps towards becoming a World Class University (WCU) and to strengthen UNIKOM’s branding in the international arena.
All participants in the rehearsal simulated the conference proceedings, from the opening, presentation sessions, to the hybrid conference mechanism involving participants from various countries. Through this rehearsal, UNIKOM demonstrated its commitment to maintaining the quality and professionalism of organizing international conferences, which have become a prestigious annual agenda for the university.
INCITEST and ISCEER 2025 will serve as a platform for global academic collaboration, bringing together researchers, academics, and practitioners from various countries to discuss innovations in information technology, electrical engineering, and applied sciences. INCITEST and ISCEER 2025 will feature speakers from various countries besides Indonesia, including Japan, Malaysia, and Thailand. With thorough preparations made through this dry run, UNIKOM is optimistic that it can successfully hold INCITEST and ISCEER 2025 while strengthening its reputation as a world-class university that excels in research and international scientific publications. BANDUNG, UNIKOM – Saturday, October 5, 2025, the Student Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMA) of the Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) (HIPMI PT UNIKOM) held GENFEST 2025, a festival that symbolizes camaraderie and collaboration between students, young entrepreneurs, and the wider community. With the theme “Niis ditepangan Dulur,” which in Sundanese means warmth in meeting with relatives, this event is not only a form of entertainment, but also a means to strengthen bonds of brotherhood while fostering a spirit of entrepreneurship among students. The theme reflects the values of warmth, togetherness, family, and collaboration, which are important foundations in building social networks and the spirit of young entrepreneurship.
GENFEST 2025 was organized in collaboration with the Chairman of HIPMI PT UNIKOM, Gian Mochammad Fauzi from the Management Study Program, Muhammad Yaser Al Matin Paris from the Informatics Engineering Study Program as the Chief Executive, and Hasna Nurul Fadhilla Taryadi from the Communication Science Study Program as the Event Coordinator. The main activity began with a Fun Run 5K, which was attended by dozens of participants from various backgrounds, ranging from UNIKOM students to the general public. The route circled the green and cool area around Dago, making this activity a symbol of a healthy lifestyle as well as a form of togetherness.
After the Fun Run, the atmosphere shifted to the GENFEST 2025 Bazaar, which featured a row of booths and local tenants with various creative products. This bazaar served as a space for interaction between students and the community, as well as a platform to support the growth of the creative economy among young entrepreneurs. Through these activities, HIPMA UNIKOM encouraged students to be brave in entrepreneurship, innovation, and building broader business networks with the surrounding community.
The series of activities continued with a Mini Music Festival featuring UNIKOM student bands, such as Jam It On and Galapagos. Their lively music blended with the laughter and cheers of the audience, creating a warm and intimate atmosphere under the shade of the trees in Dago. Audience members from all walks of life enjoyed each performance by dancing, taking photos, and singing along. The relaxed and peaceful atmosphere made this moment one of the most memorable parts of the entire GENFEST 2025 series. Through GENFEST 2025, HIPMA UNIKOM reaffirmed its commitment to presenting activities that are not only entertaining but also meaningful and have a positive impact. The event became a space for collaboration that united the spirit of entrepreneurship, healthy lifestyles, and artistic creativity in one harmonious platform. BANDUNG, UNIKOM – On Saturday, October 11, 2025, Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) welcomed a visit from Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta. The visit was welcomed directly by the Director of International Affairs & Cooperation UNIKOM, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Inta Budi Setya Nusa, S.E., M.Ak., along with his team. The UPNVJ delegation included the Head of the International Affairs Office (KUI) of UPNVJ, accompanied by two KUI staff members, two faculty advisors, and 17 students, consisting of seven UPNVJ students and ten international students currently studying at UPNVJ. This visit also aimed to serve as a platform for academic dialogue and cultural exchange between students from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at UPNVJ and UNIKOM students.
During the visit, UPNVJ students also had the opportunity to see UNIKOM’s excellent facilities, including the UTV studio, which is a center for creative content and digital media development, and the Animation Division, which is known for its innovative and collaborative works in the creative industry.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Inta Budi said that the visit was a follow-up to the previous collaboration between UNIKOM and UPNVJ. “This is the second visit as a form of continued collaboration between the two universities. On this occasion, we scheduled a discussion session between the International Relations Study Program of UNIKOM and the foreign and regular students from UPNVJ. This activity is part of a mobility activity that aims to broaden students’ knowledge and experience, especially in exchanging ideas and building cross-cultural academic networks,” he said.
The main agenda of the visit continued with an interactive talk show featuring student representatives from the Governance Science, Communication Science, and International Relations Study Programs at UPNVJ as well as FISIP UNIKOM students.
During the session, participants discussed the role of students in research collaboration, cultural diplomacy, and global contributions in the digital era. The visit also served as an academic networking event between UNIKOM students and UPNVJ foreign students from various countries. The participants exchanged views on the education system, their study experiences in Indonesia, and opportunities for collaborative research in the future. The atmosphere was warm and interactive, reflecting the spirit of “Global Friendship through Education,” which is the spirit of both universities.
On this occasion, Masitado, a regular student from Indonesia, and Majidali from Pakistan, who is a foreign student at UPNVJ, also shared their impressions and messages after touring the UNIKOM campus. Both said that the visit was their first time and left a deep impression on them. They were impressed by UNIKOM’s comprehensive and modern facilities and infrastructure, and felt that the academic atmosphere was different and inspiring, especially in the field of digital media. BANDUNG, UNIKOM – The Student Creativity Program Team in the Community Service category (PKM-PM) from Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) has successfully implemented a community empowerment program “Peka Toksin” in Pamekaran Village, Soreang, Kabupaten Bandung. The PKM program is one of the innovations of UNIKOM students in combining artificial intelligence (AI) technology with environmental health education, particularly in the early detection of black mold, which has the potential to harm the respiratory system.
The “Peka Toksin” PKM program was born out of the students’ awareness of the dense and humid environmental conditions in Pamekaran Village, which are two factors that are very risky for the growth of mold that produces mycotoxins. Through “Peka Toksin,” the team presented an AI-based application that can help the community quickly identify the presence of black mold while strengthening the role of Karang Taruna as a driving force for health education at the community level.
The “Peka Toksin” team consists of students from the Information Systems and Informatics Engineering Study Programs, with Team Leader Nur Aisah (Information Systems), Rizki Dwi Sya’bana Nugraha (Information Systems), Rizka Dwi Putri Ningsih (Information Systems), Rhadith Eka Erlangga Shaputra (Information Systems), and Abdul Malik Febrian Zulkifli (Computer Engineering), accompanied by their advisor, Dr. Hj. Supriyati, S.E., M.Si., Ak., CA., ASEAN CPA., C.PI., CIAP., AMKI.
This activity also received support from the Director of Student Affairs UNIKOM, Andrias Darmayadi, S.IP., M.Si., Ph.D., who emphasized that the synergy between students and the community is a manifestation of UNIKOM’s vision to provide technology-based solutions that have a direct impact. “This program is a concrete form of our commitment to empowering the community through student innovation. Thank you to the village government and Karang Taruna of Pamekaran Village for their collaboration and support,” he said.
This program is funded by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek) through the 2025 PKM-PM Grant Scheme and has been running from July to November 2025. The program was implemented systematically through several stages, including 1) Observation and Field Analysis Stage (July 2025): The team conducted field observations on July 22 to understand the real conditions of the community and held discussions with the Village Head, Hamlet Head, and Karang Taruna. The results of the observations were used as the basis for planning training and socialization; 2) Technology Development Stage (July 25-28, 2025): The team optimized the “Peka Toksin” application and installed the system on the mobile phones of cadres and residents to ensure readiness for use; and 3) Socialization and Empowerment Stage (August 2025). Activities began with the formation of Karang Taruna cadres and the handover of guideline books, followed by a demonstration of the application to residents on August 18, and continued with technical training for cadres on August 23. The program ended with intensive assistance to residents’ homes on August 25, to ensure that the cadres were able to carry out their educational and detection functions independently.
The enthusiasm of the Pamekaran Village community is proof of the success of the student team’s participatory approach. Iwan Wahyudin, Head of Hamlet III, expressed his appreciation. “We really appreciate the initiative of UNIKOM students. This innovation is real and relevant to the needs of the residents. The socialization helped us understand the dangers of black mold and how to prevent it,” he said.
Meanwhile, Dini Nurjanah, Chair of the Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) of Pamekaran Village, said that the program had a positive impact on increasing community awareness. “Previously, many residents were unaware of the dangers of black mold. After the socialization, they became more vigilant and understood how to prevent it. We hope this program will continue,” said Dini.
Support also came from Fajar Sumirat, Leader of the Karya Mekar Karang Taruna, “Thank you to Kemdiktisaintek and UNIKOM for the very useful education. The knowledge we have gained will help us maintain the cleanliness and health of the environment independently,” he said.
More than just a technology project, PKM-PM “Peka Toksin” is an example of the integration of digital innovation and social empowerment. The program produced an AI-based application and strengthened the social capacity of the village community through cadre development and continuous training.
Dr. Hj. Supriyati hopes that Karang Taruna Desa Pamekaran can become a pioneer in maintaining technology-based environmental health while also serving as a model for the implementation of education and AI-based “smart villages” for other villages in Indonesia.

BANDUNG, UNIKOM – In commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the TNI Infantry Weapons Center (Pusenif) Bandung paid a courtesy visit to the Indonesian Computer University (UNIKOM), specifically to UTV UNIKOM, on Tuesday, October 7, 2025.
The visit was led by the Commander of Pusenif Bandung, Lieutenant General TNI Iwan Setiawan, S.E., M.M., accompanied by several TNI Pusenif officers. The honorary guests were welcomed directly by the Rector of UNIKOM and Chairman of APTISI West Java, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., accompanied by the Vice Rector II for Resources at UNIKOM, Assoc. Prof. Agus Riyanto, S.T., M.T., CSBA., and the Director of UTV UNIKOM, Yeni Nurlatifah, M.Ds., along with their team.
The series of events began with an afternoon banquet held on the 16th floor of the UNIKOM Smart Building, which offered a panoramic view of the city of Bandung as a beautiful backdrop for the meeting between two institutions from different fields, but with the same spirit in building the nation through service and innovation.
UNIKOM Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy, expressed his deep appreciation for the visit of the TNI Pusenif team to the UNIKOM campus. In his speech, he emphasized that the synergy between the academic and military worlds is a strategic step in realizing productive collaboration, especially in the field of information and communication technology, which is UNIKOM’s main strength. “The visit of Lt. Gen. Iwan Setiawan and the TNI Pusenif team to UNIKOM is a concrete implementation of the positive and constructive partnership between the TNI and universities in supporting the nation’s progress,” said Prof. Eddy.

After the banquet, the TNI Pusenif delegation continued their visit to the UTV studio, where soldiers had the opportunity to simulate live television broadcasts. Through this visit by the TNI from Pusenif, it is hoped that UNIKOM and Pusenif can strengthen their institutional ties and open opportunities for strategic cooperation in the future, particularly in the fields of digital communication training, media production, and technology-based national defense education.
BANDUNG, UNIKOM – As part of the selection process for the DPD RI Ambassador, held on October 2, 2025, a rigorous selection process successfully brought an inspiring figure from Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM). Febby Cipta, a student from the International Relations Study Program of UNIKOM, was officially awarded as the DPD RI Ambassador for West Java 2025 after going through various challenging selection stages.
The selection process for the DPD RI Ambassador began with the administration, followed by the creation of a profile video introducing the participants and their respective institutions. The participants then participated in the first interview session, which resulted in the selection of the top three finalists from West Java. The next stage included catwalk and posture assessments, and a second interview with the national DPD RI to determine the winner.
Febby expressed his gratitude for being selected as the DPD RI Ambassador 2025. “Alhamdulillah, the entire selection process went smoothly. The biggest challenge for me was the interview session in English.” He added that the experience was a valuable lesson for him to continue to grow.
Febby also shared his motivation for participating in the event. “Follow your dreams, never stop learning.” In this fast-paced era, we are not only competing with others but also with ourselves. There are only two choices: keep moving forward or stay in your comfort zone. Just do it,” he said.

BANDUNG, UNIKOM – On Friday, September 26, 2025, the Architecture Engineering Study Program at the Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) conducted a field assessment and accreditation evaluation by the National Accreditation Agency for Higher Education (BAN-PT) within the UNIKOM Faculty of Engineering as a commitment to improve the quality of higher education.
The field assessment is an important part of the academic quality assurance process, aiming to ensure that the education provided by the Architecture Engineering Study Program complies with the National Higher Education Standards (SN-Dikti) and meets the indicators of quality, relevance, and sustainable academic governance.
This field assessment was attended by the Vice Rector III for Research, Innovation, and Accreditation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ir. Herman Soegoto, MBA, and the Head of the Architecture Engineering Study Program, Prof. Dr. Ir. Dhini Dewiyanti, M.T., and lecturers from the Architecture Engineering, including Dr. Salmon Priaji Martana, S.T., M.T.; Tri Widianti Natalia, S.T., M.T., and Nova Chandra Aditya, S.T., M.T. Meanwhile, BAN-PT assigned two experienced assessors, Dr. Eng. Ir. Ahmad Sarwadi, M.Eng., as Assessor 1, and Dr. Ir. V.G. Sri Rejeki, M.T., as Assessor 2, who verified, clarified, and assessed the documents and implementation of the study program curriculum.
This activity began with a meeting between the Rector of UNIKOM, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. The results of the discussion between the President of CECF and UNIKOM included various forms of strategic collaboration, such as guest lecture programs, student exchange programs, and a number of non-academic activities oriented towards character development, global leadership, and strengthening international networks. These initiatives are expected to support UNIKOM in realizing its vision of becoming a World Class University (WCU) by expanding the scope of global cooperation and increasing international exposure for students and academics.
Professor Arafat appreciated UNIKOM efforts in continuing to open up opportunities for international cooperation based on humanitarian values. He emphasized that education plays a crucial role in building bridges between nations and fostering cross-cultural understanding that can reduce conflict and strengthen social cohesion.
Vice Rector I for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Umi, said that in the future there will be many opportunities for collaboration offered by Prof. Arafat to UNIKOM. In addition, in January, Prof. Arafat will be a guest speaker at a seminar in Bali, in which UNIKOM lecturers will also participate. The FGD was also attended by external guests, including the Chair of ISKI West Java, Dr. Atalia Praratya Kamil, who virtually congratulated UNIKOM on the establishment of its Master of Communication Science program. She expressed her hope that the Master of Communication Science program would produce intelligent, ethical, visionary communicators who would contribute to the nation. Dr. Desayu said that the FGD activity was part of the process to improve the quality of learning in the Master of Communication Science Program. “As one of the new study programs at the Faculty of Postgraduate UNIKOM, the curriculum is an important guideline that must be carefully prepared so that it can be applied appropriately to Master of Communication Science students. In the drafting process, we took various strategic steps, including sharing views and networking with resource persons who are experts and experienced alumni in the field of communication. We also coordinated with the heads of professional associations to enrich our perspectives, so that the resulting curriculum design could have a broad and practical impact. Furthermore, the results of this curriculum development were discussed with the faculty, the Vice Rector I for Academic Affairs, and the UNIKOM Curriculum Division,” she said.
The Dean of the Faculty of Postgraduate UNIKOM, Assoc. Dr. Rahma, also expressed her hope that through this FGD activity, graduate students and alumni, especially those from the Master of Communication Science Study Program, can have excellent leadership skills and be able to compete at a global level. She added that graduates are expected to not only be ready to continue their careers in the business world but also be able to contribute in various professional environments, both in national and international levels. “With strong communication skills, graduates are expected to be able to collaborate across fields, because in any business world, communication is an important element in the success of an organization,” she concluded.
Meanwhile, IDIK Vice Chair Dr. Eki, together with West Java FORSILADI Chair Dr. Imam, expressed their high appreciation for the FGD event organized by the UNIKOM Master of Communication Studies (MIK) Program. Both considered this event to be an extraordinary step in strengthening the quality of education and competency development in the field of communication. Dr. Eki, representing IDIK, expressed his hope that the presence of the UNIKOM Master of Communication Science Program would produce excellent human resources capable of supporting the creation of harmonious, productive, and collaborative communication. Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of developing students who are visionary, adaptive to the era of disruption, and skilled in technopreneurship as preparation for facing global challenges.
The discussion was interactive and productive, presenting various inputs from participants who are experienced in the academic and industrial fields. Some of them highlighted the importance of integrating digital communication technology, strengthening data-based research aspects, and shaping the character of communicators who are ethical and adaptive to the changing times.
Complementing the FGD activity, it became a momentum for the UNIKOM Master of Communication Science Program to expand its network of cooperation with educational institutions and the industrial world through the signing of MOU & MOA, as a form of commitment in encouraging sustainable collaboration. Faculty of Postgraduate UNIKOM reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining adaptive, innovative, and globally competitive education quality in line with UNIKOM vision as a Digital Entrepreneurial University.
