    KPM UNIKOM Holds Visit & Sharing at Bandung City Hall to Strengthen Protocol Professionalism

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM – Wednesday, August 20, 2025, the Student Protocol Corps (KPM) of the Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) held a KPM Visit & Sharing event. Taking place at Bandung City Hall, the event served as a learning opportunity and a gathering between students and the Bandung City Government, particularly the Protocol and Leadership Communication (Prokopim) department.

    The Chief Executive, Indira Nur Rahadian Putri, expressed her appreciation in her report for the support of all parties involved in ensuring the success of the event. Furthermore, Muhammad Pradipta Waskitha, Chairman of KPM UNIKOM, emphasized that the event was a real form of KPM’s commitment to improving the capacity and professionalism of its members, particularly in the field of protocol.

    The Director of Public Relations and Protocol of UNIKOM, Dr. Ir. Yuni Mogot, M.Si., CPR., also gave a speech encouraging students to continue honing their communication, coordination, and protocol ethics skills, which are important assets in the world of work. “Through this activity, I hope that KPM UNIKOM members can learn directly from government practitioners, so that they can better understand the standards of professionalism in protocol. KPM is not merely a complement to campus activities, but also a platform for character building in terms of discipline, responsibility, and adaptive skills that will be highly beneficial when entering society or the workforce,” she concluded.

    A representative from the Bandung City Government, Budi Rahmat Taufik, AP., M.M., acting as Head of the Protocol and Communication Division of the Bandung City Leadership, also gave a warm welcome and expressed his hope that the visit would provide students with the knowledge they need to implement what they have learned.

    The series of activities then continued with a material presentation and sharing session with Prokopim Kota Bandung, Fredi Handoko, S.I.K. In this session, the participants gained in-depth insight into protocol management and the strategic role of leadership communication in regional government administration. The results can be used as a supplement and implemented in various protocol activities on campus while building a professional and integrity-based character in line with UNIKOM’s culture, namely PIQIE (Professionalism, Integrity, Quality, IT, Excellence).

    The activity concluded with a documentation session and a tour of Bandung City Hall, guided directly by the Protocol and Public Relations Office, providing participants with a valuable experience to get to know the government work environment more closely. Through this activity, it is hoped that UNIKOM’s Protocol and Public Relations Office will be better prepared to serve as the forefront in supporting protocol activities within UNIKOM, while expanding networks and enriching practical knowledge in the field of protocol.     BANDUNG, UNIKOM – The Open Senate Meeting of the Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) on the occasion of New Student Admissions (PMB) for the 2025/2026 Academic Year, held on Monday, September 22, 2025, at the Ganesha Cultural Center (Sabuga), was attended by two international guests of honor, Prof. Dustnazar Omonovich Khimmataliev and Prof. Jabbor Eshbekovich Usarov from Chirchiq Davlat Pedagogica Universiteti, Uzbekistan.

    Previously, UNIKOM Rector and Head of APTISI West Java, Prof. Eddy, received three honorary degrees (Honoris Causa) from three different universities in Uzbekistan, namely Ijtimoiy Va Siyosiy Fanlar Instituti (ISFI), Chirchiq Davlat Pedagogica Universiteti, Uzbekistan, and Sarbon University. These prestigious awards were given as a form of international recognition for Prof. Eddy’s dedication to the development of higher education, particularly his contribution to improving the quality of private universities in Indonesia.

    The presence of the two professors at the open senate session for the admission of new students for the 2025/2026 academic year and UNIKOM’s 25th anniversary symbolized the close academic relationship between UNIKOM and universities in Uzbekistan, as well as confirming UNIKOM’s position as a university that is increasingly active in establishing international collaborations.

    Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., in his speech said, “On the occasion of the open senate meeting and UNIKOM’s 25th anniversary, we are very honored by the presence of Prof. Dustnazar and Prof. Jabbor. Their presence symbolizes the close academic friendship between UNIKOM and international universities. We believe that this cooperation will open up wider opportunities for research collaboration, academic exchange, and scientific development, which will benefit not only the academic community but also the global community and strengthen UNIKOM’s steps towards its vision of becoming an internationally competitive Digital Entrepreneurial University,” said Prof. Eddy.

    On the same occasion, the Rector of UNIKOM also presented special awards to the distinguished guests, including the two professors from Chirchiq, as a form of respect for their contributions in strengthening international relations. The awards marked an important moment that signified the strengthening of UNIKOM’s reputation on the global stage, in line with its spirit of becoming a Digital Entrepreneurial University.

    The presence of Prof. Dustnazar and Prof. Jabbor not only strengthened academic ties, but also inspired new UNIKOM students who were officially inaugurated at the event.     UNIKOM FEB Lecturers Hold FGD: Strengthening Family Economic Resilience through Financial Literacy and Household Accounting

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM – On Wednesday, September 10, 2025, lecturers from the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UNIKOM held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) entitled “Enhancing the Harmonious Family Model in West Java with Economic Resilience through Financial Literacy and Household Accounting.” This activity was part of the 2025 Research Grant and Community Service Program of the Directorate General of Research and Development, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemendiktisaintek).

    The FGD was held in Room L.018 of the UNIKOM Smart Building with the collaboration of UNIKOM FEB lecturers, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Adeh Ratna Komala, S.E., M.Si., CERA. Adi Rachmanto, S.Kom., M.Kom. from the D3 Accounting Study Program, and Dr. Linna Ismawati, S.E., M.Si. from the Management Study Program. The activity also received support from the Office of Women’s Empowerment, Child Protection, and Family Planning (DP3AKB) through the West Java Women’s School (Sekoper) program and the Directorate of Community Empowerment and Development (DP3M) UNIKOM.

    This FGD brought together representatives from the government, academia, and the community. The government was represented by DP3AKB, academics were represented by lecturers and student researchers, while the community was represented by 27 students and alumni of Sekoper Jabar. This forum served as a participatory dialogue platform to identify issues, share experiences, and develop practical recommendations. Additionally, the FGD served as a means to validate field data while strengthening cross-sector collaboration in support of research objectives.

    Assoc. Prof. Dr. Adeh Ratna Komala, as the Head of Research, stated in her report that this was the second FGD, following the first one held on June 26, 2025. She added that Sekoper Jabar was chosen as a partner because the program is relevant to the research topic, where the majority of students and alumni are housewives who actively contribute to family economic resilience through various businesses. “Currently, 306 respondents have been collected. Through this FGD, the data obtained will be more complete and enrich our research results,” she said.

    Present as the main speaker and Principal of Sekoper Jabar was Prof. Dr. Hj. Umi Narimawati, Dra., S.E., M.Si., with the topic “The Role of Women in Realizing Family Economic Resilience.” In her presentation, Prof. Umi emphasized the importance of women’s active role in household financial management and their contribution to sustainable family economic development.

    Head of the PKHP DP3AKB West Java Province, Ari Antari Ratna Dewi, S.IP., M.M., in her speech said that this activity is expected to produce an implementable model that can be applied through education, assistance, and strategic policies. “Synergy between the government, academics, practitioners, and the community is needed so that this program provides real benefits in the field,” she concluded.

    Director of DP3M UNIKOM, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Irawan Afrianto, S.T., M.T., also emphasized the importance of financial literacy at the household level as the foundation of family economic resilience. He hopes that the results of the FGD can make a significant contribution to ongoing research and scientific publications.

    Through the FGD on Financial Literacy and Household Accounting, UNIKOM reaffirmed its commitment to support scientific research development while strengthening public financial literacy.     UNIKOM Faculty Of Economics And Business Promotes Digitalization Of Women’s Msmes In West Java Through Vocational E-Commerce Training

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM – The Faculty of Economics and Business of Universitas Komputer Indonesia (FEB UNIKOM) continues to strengthen its commitment to support digital economic transformation based on women’s empowerment. On this occasion, FEB UNIKOM led the implementation of vocational e-commerce training for West Java Women’s School SME entrepreneurs, which was held on September 10-12, 2025, at the Sekoper Building, Jl. Phh Mustafa no. 22, Bandung.

    This activity is an implementation of the Community Service (PkM) program funded by a grant from the Directorate of Research and PkM, the Directorate General of Research and Development, and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek), in strategic synergy with the West Java Provincial Office of Women’s Empowerment, Child Protection, and Family Planning (DP3AKB), International Women University, and Tri Dharma implementing units at UNIKOM.

    The training program was led by Prof. Dr. Siti Kurnia Rahayu, S.E., A.k., M.Ak., CA., as the chief executive and Dean of FEB UNIKOM, together with lecturers from various faculties and study programs from UNIKOM and IWU, and other partners. Also participating in the main proposal team were Prof. Dr. Hj. Umi Narimawati, Dra., S.E., M.Si., and Muhamad Nawawi, S.Kom., M.Kom.

    The organizing committee involved academics from various disciplines, including economics, management, information technology, communication, design, and digital systems. This interdisciplinary involvement shows that digital transformation for women’s MSMEs is not only about technology but also about strengthening an ecosystem based on social inclusion and local economic sustainability.

    During the three-day training, 15 women entrepreneurs from Women School of West Java received applied and practical materials such as Gender and Women’s MSME Leadership, Basics of E-Commerce and Digital Marketing, Creating Email Accounts and Marketplace Registration, Instagram Business, Product Photography & Visual Editing, Simple Bookkeeping, and Product Branding and Social Media Optimization. Through a learning-by-doing approach, participants not only understood the theory but also directly practiced creating digital accounts, uploading products, and designing secure and consumer-attractive online transaction flows.

    The Dean of FEB UNIKOM, Prof. Dr. Siti Kurnia Rahayu, stated that the training was not merely a community service activity but a concrete effort to position women-owned SMEs as the driving force behind a competitive and sustainable digital economic transformation. “We are deeply grateful to Kemdiktisaintek, DP3AKB West Java Province, IWU, and the entire multidisciplinary team involved. FEB UNIKOM will continue to be committed to work with the community, building digital capacity collaboratively, and creating an inclusive economic ecosystem that empowers women as key players,” she said.

    This activity is also in line with FEB UNIKOM’s vision of making research and community service a force for technology-based social change. With this training, it is expected that it can serve as a model for the expansion of other MSME digital training models in various regions of West Java.     BANDUNG, UNIKOM – Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM), through its Master of Design Program, held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and Curriculum Workshop as part of the 2025 Master of Design Curriculum update. This activity serves as a strategic step toward implementing the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum model, which focuses on graduate learning outcomes.

    Held in the Meeting Room on the 12th floor of the UNIKOM Building, the event was attended by the Vice Rector I for Academic and Student Affairs of UNIKOM, Prof. Dr. Hj. Umi Narimawati, Dra. S.E., M.Si., Dean of the UNIKOM Postgraduate, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rahma Wahdiniwaty, Dra., M.Si., Head of the Master of Design Study Program, Dr. Taufan Hidayatullah, S.Sn., M.Ds., Head of the UNIKOM Curriculum Division, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Melly Maulin P, S.Sos., M.Si., and Master of Design Lecturers, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rini Maulina, S.Sn., M.Sn., Dr. Kankan Kasmana, S.Sn., and M.Ds., Yully Ambarsih E, S.Sn., M.Sn., as well as lecturers from the Visual Communication Design Study Program of Universitas Teknologi Bandung, Agus Malik Ibrahim, M.Ds., Owner of Naqa.id, Indah Rosniawati, M.Ds., and UNIKOM Master of Design students involved in curriculum development. Through discussion forums and workshops, participants discussed, reviewed, and developed a curriculum in line with current educational standards, while also addressing the needs of industry and society.

    The Head of the Master of Design Program, Dr. Taufan Hidayatullah, S.Sn., M.Ds., stated that the implementation of an OBE-based curriculum will strengthen the quality of learning by focusing on the results or achievements. “Through these joint activities with extraordinary speakers, we hope to gain valuable insights and input. Moreover, the curriculum is the main component in the learning process in the Master of Design Program, which has extraordinary dynamics,” he said.

    Meanwhile, the Dean of the UNIKOM Postgraduate, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rahma Wahdiniwaty, Dra., M.Si., expressed her gratitude to the invited guests who were willing to take the time to attend the FGD. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rahma also emphasized the importance of adaptive and relevant curriculum renewal. 

    The activities continued with a discussion forum and workshop, where participants discussed, reviewed, and developed a curriculum in line with current educational standards, while also addressing the needs of industry and society as presented by the guest speaker, Dr. Intan Rizky Mutiaz, M.Ds., Chair of the Indonesian Visual Communication Design Study Program Association (ASPRODI). 
    The FGD and workshop activities are expected to produce a modern, practical Master’s in Design curriculum at UNIKOM that can make a real contribution to the development of science, technology, art, and design in Indonesia. (Directorate of Hms & Pro)

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM – The Information Management Study Program of Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) received a benchmarking visit from the Indonesian Institute of Education and Professional Development (LP3I) on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. Held in the 7th floor Meeting Room at UNIKOM, the benchmarking aimed to gain insight into best practices in curriculum development and implementation, align learning outcomes with industry needs, and strengthen academic cooperation between LP3I Polytechnic and UNIKOM.

    The event was attended by LP3I representatives, including the Head of the LP3I Polytechnic D3 Information Management Study Program, Rita Komalasari, S.Si., M.Kom., accompanied by the Deputy Director of Academic Affairs, Agus Salim, S.Kom., M.Kom, and the Head of the Company and Placement (CnP) Division, Cuhenda, S.Pd., M.M. Head of the Internal Quality Assurance Agency (LPMI) Cahyadi Supyansuri, S.E., M.M., as well as LP3I lecturers Riri Rumaizha, S.E., M.Ak., Zen Munawar, S.T., M.Kom., Roro Santi, S.T., M.Kom.

    The Head of the Information Management Study Program, Dr. Bella, expressed his gratitude for the visit from LP3I Polytechnic. He welcomed the benchmarking initiative as a manifestation of the spirit of collaboration and sharing of good practices between universities. “We are honored and delighted by the visit of our colleagues from LP3I Polytechnic to UNIKOM, especially to the Information Management Study Program. This activity is an important moment to exchange experiences, ideas, and strategies in developing a curriculum that is relevant and adaptive to the current needs of the industry,” he said.

    Rita, as the Head of the D3 Information Management Study Program at LP3I Polytechnic, also expressed her gratitude to UNIKOM for the opportunity to share and learn directly from the experiences and best practices that have been implemented in the UNIKOM Information Management Study Program. “This benchmarking activity is very important for us, especially in gaining insight into how curriculum development can be aligned with the ever-evolving needs of the industry. In addition, we also learned a lot about the implementation of quality assurance systems and the use of information technology in the learning process,” she said.

    On this occasion, the two parties discussed curriculum development strategies, the implementation of quality assurance systems, and opportunities for cooperation in academic and non-academic fields.     BANDUNG, UNIKOM – Friday, August 15, 2025, the Management Study Program of the Faculty of Economics and Business at UNIKOM once again held its annual Specialization Seminar entitled “SpecSem 2025: Management Study Program Specialization Seminar”. The event, conducted online via Zoom Meeting, was aimed at fifth-semester students who are about to choose their specialization paths, and was also attended by all Management Program lecturers at UNIKOM.

    The Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Prof. Dr. Siti Kurnia Rahayu, S.E., M.Ak., Ak., CA., fully supported the event and hoped that students would be able to implement what the lecturers conveyed to them. Thus, the knowledge gained would not only be limited to theory but could also be applied in practice during lectures.

    Dr. Rizki Zulfikar, S.E., M.Si, as the head of the event, emphasized the importance of students choosing a specialization based on their interests and academic goals, not just following their friends. In line with this, the Head of the Management Study Program, Assoc. Prof. Raeni, also advised students to be more prudent in making their choices. “We are holding this seminar so that you can truly understand what is studied in each specialization, so that you can make a mature and appropriate decision before choosing,” she said.

    During the main session of the seminar, four areas of specialization were presented, namely: 1). Marketing Management by Associate Professor Dr. Raeni Dwi Santy, S.E., M.Si., CIMA. and Dr. Rizki Zulfikar, S.E., M.Si., who highlighted strategies for winning the market. 2). Business Management by Muhammad Iffan, S.E., M.M., discussing business steps, communication, and global business opportunities. 3). Financial Management by Dr. Linna Ismawati, S.E., M.Si., CFRM. and Windi Novianti, S.E., M.Si., emphasizing financial management, investment, and career prospects. 4). Human Resource Management by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Isniar Budiarti, S.E., M.Si. and Dr. Lita Wulantika, S.E., M.Si., who emphasized the management of human resource potential as a key asset for companies.

    The series of activities were interactive and concluded with a question-and-answer session, where students could delve deeper into the material presented. Through these activities, students are expected to be able to determine their specialization accurately to support their academic journey and future careers. By offering four specialization tracks in Marketing, Business, Finance, and HRM, the Management Program at FEB is committed to producing competent graduates who are focused on their fields and ready to face the challenges of the business world and industry.     BANDUNG, UNIKOM – Thursday, September 11, 2025, Ahead of the Open Senate Session Ceremony for the Admission of New Students to the Indonesian Computer University (PMB UNIKOM) for the 2025/2026 Academic Year, the PMB UNIKOM committee held a technical meeting with Sabuga Management on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at the Sabuga Meeting Room, Jl. Taman Sari No. 73 Bandung.

    The technical meeting was attended by the Director of Public Relations and Protocol of UNIKOM, Dr. Ir. Yuni Mogot, M.Si., CPR., who also serves as the Chair of the PMB UNIKOM Open Senate Session, the Director of General Administration, Assoc. Adeh Ratna Komala, S.E., M.Si., CERA., the Director of Student Affairs, Andrias Darmayadi, S.IP., M.Si., Ph.D.,  and the Director of Logistics, Yayah Sutisnawati, S.E., M.M,  as well as all committee coordinators, including the event coordinator, guest reception, equipment, catering, security, documentation, security, UTV Media, as well as representatives from student organizations BEM, KPM, KSR, PSM, and Sadaya. Meanwhile, from the Sabuga Management side, Annisa Juitasari was present as the Sabuga ITB Account Executive, along with other management teams.

    The meeting between the two parties emphasized the importance of synergy in ensuring the readiness of the event, from technical aspects, facilities, security, to the comfort of thousands of new UNIKOM students who will participate in the Open Session and the Opening of PKKMB UNIKOM 2025. The agenda is an important step in finalizing preparations for the event, which, God willing, will be held on Monday, September 22, 2025, at the Sabuga Building.

    The Director of Public Relations and Protocol of UNIKOM, who is also the Chair of the PMB Organizing Committee, Dr. Yuni, opened the meeting by expressing her gratitude and saying, “Even though the UNIKOM PMB Senate Open Session is a routine activity that we carry out every year, for the sake of perfection in its implementation, a Coordination Meeting must still be held to prepare everything. Hopefully, through this technical meeting, we can align our perspectives and unify our goals to ensure the success of the UNIKOM PMB for the 2025-2026 Academic Year. With good coordination and collaboration between all committee members and relevant parties, we will certainly be able to provide the best and most memorable service and experience for all prospective new students in attendance,” she said.

    Meanwhile, Annisa, Account Executive at Sabuga, expressed her gratitude to UNIKOM for collaborating with Sabuga in every PMB event. “I hope that UNIKOM will continue to work with us. Sabuga will continue to support this major event and is ready to ensure that all facilities, technical aspects of the event, as well as comfort and safety aspects run optimally,” she concluded.

    During the meeting, various technical details were discussed in depth, ranging from spatial arrangements, event flow, logistical needs, to coordination between fields. Sabuga Management also provided information regarding the use of building facilities so that the PMB Open Senate Session could run smoothly, orderly, and in accordance with safety standards.

    Through this coordination meeting, it is hoped that the implementation of the UNIKOM 2025 PMB Senate Open Session can become a welcoming moment for new students that is not only informative but also inspiring, in line with UNIKOM spirit of shaping a competitive and integrity-driven young generation.     BANDUNG, UNIKOM – Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) hosted a comparative study visit from Universitas Medika Suherman on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. The event, held online via Zoom Meeting, discussed the application and utilization of social media in digital marketing and new student admission strategies (PMB) at UNIKOM.

    Universitas Medika Suherman (UMS) is a private university in Cikarang, Bekasi, West Java, founded by the Sentra Medika Hospital Group and focusing on the field of health. Universitas Medika Suherman chose UNIKOM as a comparative study partner because of its reputation as one of the leading universities capable of optimally utilizing digital technology to support the promotion and management of PMB.

    On this occasion, Universitas Medika Suherman was represented by its Rector, Dr. Triseu Setianingsih, SKM., MKM., accompanied by the Head of LPMI, Amrulloh Ibnu Kholdun, S.E, M.M., Vice Rector for Education and Student Affairs, Ns. Retno Anggraini, S.Kep, M.Kes, Vice Rector for Human Capital, Finance, and Assets, Antonius Mudhita Kumara, S.M, M.M, as well as the Head of the Marketing Bureau and his team.

    UNIKOM Vice Rector II for Resources, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Agus, expressed his hopes for the comparative study in his speech. “As a campus based on Information Technology (IT), we hope that the collaboration between UNIKOM and Universitas Medika Suherman will not only be limited to marketing and social media utilization, but will also expand to education, research, and other fields. I am confident that this collaboration will create strong synergy, resulting in better achievements, both in terms of IT and health,” he concluded.

    The Rector of Medika Suherman University, Dr. Triseu Setianingsih, expressed her appreciation for the opportunity to share knowledge from UNIKOM. “We hope that through this comparative study, Universitas Medika Suherman can adopt UNIKOM’s best practices in developing digital marketing strategies and improving the quality of new student admissions at our campus,” she said.

    On this occasion, UNIKOM shared its experiences on effective social media strategies to reach prospective students, build institutional image, and optimize digital communication. In addition, the discussion also covered data management systems and digital marketing-based promotional innovations, which are UNIKOM strengths.

    The series of activities was interactive, featuring discussions, Q&A sessions, and technical presentations delivered by UNIKOM digital marketing team. Through this benchmarking study, both universities reaffirmed their commitment to continue building cooperation and sharing experiences in facing the challenges of the digital era in higher education.
