Authors: Rodi Hartono, Hyun Rok Cha, Kyoo Jae Shin

    DOI: 10.1109/ACCESS.2024.3387460

    Abstract

Electric power steering (EPS) poses significant control challenges in autonomous vehicles due to their inherent complexity and non-linearity. This study explores the application of artificial neural network (ANN) to address these limitations. Two approaches are proposed: 1) an ANN-based identifier utilizing the backpropagation (BP) algorithm to learn the system’s non-linear dynamics, and 2) an ANN-based controller leveraging the Levenberg-Marquardt (LM) algorithm to improve control performance. Our findings demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed ANN-based BP algorithm in EPS system identification achieving over 99.6% accuracy in predicting EPS system dynamics compared to the traditional approach. Additionally, the LM-learned ANN-based controller aiming a faster response and precise reference tracking compared to the traditional controller method. These advancements underscore the potential of employing ANN methodologies to optimize EPS performance in autonomous vehicles. © 2013 IEEE.

  • Model Semantic Attention (SemAtt) With Hybrid Learning Separable Neural Network and Long Short-Term Memory to Generate Caption

Model Semantic Attention (SemAtt) With Hybrid Learning Separable Neural Network and Long Short-Term Memory to Generate Caption

Authors: Agus Nursikuwagus, Rinaldi Munir, Masayu L. Khodra, Deshinta Arrova Dewi

    DOI: 10.1109/ACCESS.2024.3481499

    Abstract

Image captioning is a hot topic that combines a multidiscipline task between computer vision and natural language processing. One of the tasks in the geological field is to make descriptions from the images of geological rocks. The task of a geologist is to write a content description of an image and display it as text that can be used in the future. Interpretation of the object is one of the objectives of the research, which is to traverse the image structures in depth. Shapes, colors, and structures are to be focused on to get the image’s features. The problem faced is how the separable neural network (SNN) and long short-term memory (LSTM) have an impact on the caption that can meet the geologist’s description. SNN is called Visual Attention (VaT), and LSTM is called Semantic Attention (SemAtt) as an architecture of image captioning. The result of the experiment confirms that the accuracy model for captioning gets BLEU-1=0.908 , BLEU-2=0.877 , BLEU-3=0.750 , and BLEU-4=0.510. The evaluation score is compared to those of other evaluators, such as Meteor and RougeL, which get 0.670 and 0.623, respectively. The model confirms that it outperforms the baseline model. Referring to the evaluations, we concluded that the model was able to generate captioned geological rock images that met the geologist’s description. Precision and recall have supported the models in providing the predicted word that is suitable for the image features. © 2013 IEEE.

    Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out how to use Instagram social media as a means of publishing coffee shop photo menus in Bandung. We used a descriptive qualitative research method through literary studies and field observations. From the result, we found out that words and images are a very good combination in the process of sending messages and information. This can be applied to all connoisseurs of photographs, including business people who try to attract consumers’ attention through aesthetic photo techniques. One of them is a coffee shop business that uses aesthetic photo techniques in social media. Therefore, it can be predicted that the use of Instagram is the right tool for publication and increase consumer buying interest. From the research, we can conclude that attractive and aesthetic photographic images can influence how a person perceives or interprets things. Instagram is a social media that is widely used and displays various images to be shared. If many people came to the shop because of a good promotional image on Instagram, it can increase the number of sales and provide more profits. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

    Abstract

The purpose of this research is to make a tool designed to assist workers in carrying out production activities and prevent work accidents caused by machinery. The method used in this study is the Ulrich method. Ulrich method that used in this research is to explain the steps in designing a product. The results obtained in this study are 12 concepts available. These concepts must be evaluated and filtered very carefully to get maximum results. The Pugh method is used to assist in the process of evaluation and screening of concepts so that the 3 selected concepts will be developed. Concept evaluation for the three selected concepts must be done by comparing the rank and weight value of each concept to make it easier to use formulas so that it can help in the assessment process. One concept chosen will be used to design the product. The conclusion is in designing a product, several phases must be passe so that the results obtained will be satisfying and in accordance with the references used. The benefit that will be felt with this tool is that workers can avoid work accidents and work becomes easier to improve the production process. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

    Authors: Yusup Maruli, Yusrila Kerlooza

    DOI: 10.1088/1757-899X/879/1/012081

    Abstract

The application that is built to be used by users with wide age ranges and different educational backgrounds need interface which is designed carefully. User acceptance value for the application’s interface must be measured using the right measurement tool. The goal of this research is to produce the right measurement tool for the application’s interface. The right measurement tool to measure the value of user acceptance in this research uses Nielsen’s method and questionnaire technique. The Nielsen’s method covers Nielsen’s Attributes of Usability and Nielsen’s Heuristic Evaluation and the questionnaire technique consists of QUIS Questionnaire, USE Questionnaire and Purdue Usability Testing Questionnaire. The result of this paper is a measurement tool to measure the value of user acceptance that is produced from a combination of Nielsen’s method and questionnaire technique which considers user age range and educational background. A few things which become the topic of discussion are the number of questions and answers, classification for the questionnaire and users’ condition. As conclusion, further surveys are needed to prove the correctness of the classification according to the suggestions in the discussion chapter. This research will give an accurate measurement to the value of user acceptance. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

    Author: Aulia S. S

    DOI: 10.1088/1757-899X/879/1/012162

    Abstract

This research aims to see the relationship between the farmers’ characteristics and their gadgets, such as mobile phone or smartphones in support of agricultural activities. This research used qualitative and quantitative research types namely qualitative research with a survey method of observation and semi-closed interviews. The data from the field survey was processed into useful information in seeing the characteristics of farmers and their relationship in utilizing their gadgets. Analysis of this relationship was analysed using quantitative chi-square methods. The significant value of the significance of the variable age, level of education, and saving ability is 0.001, 0.003, and 0.002. Variable age and education level are internal condition of farmers who are strongly associated with the ability of farmers in operating a mobile phone to search for a variety of agricultural information. The use of a mobile phone can affect the effectiveness and efficiency of farmers in terms of time, cost, and energy. However, the use of mobile phone can also the negative impact when the expenditure to buy credit phone is not controllable, so it can be related to the inability of farmers to save in the bank. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

    DOI: 10.1088/1757-899X/879/1/012020

    Abstract

The infrastructure provided by PT Pertamina to meet fuel needs is the gas station (SPBU). Gas station infrastructure is an important infrastructure in every city. Information about the location of the gas station is necessary for motorists, especially during emergencies, namely the availability of fuel in vehicles that are running low when the user is on his way. The purpose of this study is to create a mobile device that provides gas station location information to make it easy for users to get a gas station that is close to the user’s position. The object of this research is a gas station in the city of Bandung, Indonesia. The method used to find the nearest location is Location-Based Services (LBS), a cellular service that uses user location information consisting of X and Y coordinates generated by GPS, most of which use positioning techniques. Functional analysis using Unified Modeling Language (UML). Based on testing that has been done using alpha testing, the application made already provides information about the location of the nearest gas station. Based on the results of discussions with application users, this application can help users find the closest gas station. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
