    Abstract

    The application that is built to be used by users with wide age ranges and different educational backgrounds need interface which is designed carefully. User acceptance value for the application’s interface must be measured using the right measurement tool. The goal of this research is to produce the right measurement tool for the application’s interface. The right measurement tool to measure the value of user acceptance in this research uses Nielsen’s method and questionnaire technique. The Nielsen’s method covers Nielsen’s Attributes of Usability and Nielsen’s Heuristic Evaluation and the questionnaire technique consists of QUIS Questionnaire, USE Questionnaire and Purdue Usability Testing Questionnaire. The result of this paper is a measurement tool to measure the value of user acceptance that is produced from a combination of Nielsen’s method and questionnaire technique which considers user age range and educational background. A few things which become the topic of discussion are the number of questions and answers, classification for the questionnaire and users’ condition. As conclusion, further surveys are needed to prove the correctness of the classification according to the suggestions in the discussion chapter.     Abstract

    This research aims to see the relationship between the farmers’ characteristics and their gadgets, such as mobile phone or smartphones in support of agricultural activities. This research used qualitative and quantitative research types namely qualitative research with a survey method of observation and semi-closed interviews. The data from the field survey was processed into useful information in seeing the characteristics of farmers and their relationship in utilizing their gadgets. Analysis of this relationship was analysed using quantitative chi-square methods. The significant value of the significance of the variable age, level of education, and saving ability is 0.001, 0.003, and 0.002. Variable age and education level are internal condition of farmers who are strongly associated with the ability of farmers in operating a mobile phone to search for a variety of agricultural information. The use of a mobile phone can affect the effectiveness and efficiency of farmers in terms of time, cost, and energy. However, the use of mobile phone can also the negative impact when the expenditure to buy credit phone is not controllable, so it can be related to the inability of farmers to save in the bank. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

    Abstract

    The aims of this paper to determine how readability of Instagram’s user interface (UI) affect users engagement. The interface of several instagram features are analyzed through design theories such as user interface principles and the use of white space, followed by a survey among Instagram users to investigate the readibility. Findings on this studiy suggest Instagram interface is following some design principles, while the survey indicate the user finds Instagram is readable and easy to understand.     Abstract

    The infrastructure provided by PT Pertamina to meet fuel needs is the gas station (SPBU). Gas station infrastructure is an important infrastructure in every city. Information about the location of the gas station is necessary for motorists, especially during emergencies, namely the availability of fuel in vehicles that are running low when the user is on his way. The purpose of this study is to create a mobile device that provides gas station location information to make it easy for users to get a gas station that is close to the user’s position. The object of this research is a gas station in the city of Bandung, Indonesia. The method used to find the nearest location is Location-Based Services (LBS), a cellular service that uses user location information consisting of X and Y coordinates generated by GPS, most of which use positioning techniques. Functional analysis using Unified Modeling Language (UML). Based on testing that has been done using alpha testing, the application made already provides information about the location of the nearest gas station.     Abstract

    Currently, leading companies, especially in the roof tile industry, are still using manual systems in the process of production and transactions data collection activities, which made many errors and loss of data occurred. To overcome this, production and distribution information systems which aims to help and facilitate performance in producing and selling are created. The methodology used in making goods delivery information systems is Descriptive qualitative method, Object method is used as the approach, and Prototype is used as system development. The tools used in this research are Use case diagram, Scenario Diagram, Activity Diagram, Sequence Diagram, Class Diagram, Deployment Diagram, and Component Diagram. The results of this research application are made in the form of production, ordering, payment and delivery processes.     Abstract

    Hospitals in Indonesia have a very important role in maintaining public health. Good in service and management of the hospital is the key to maintaining and building public trust. In this case, the directors have a very important role to oversee every activity in the hospital. The directors who have guidelines in the form of a dictionary of hospital performance indicators. This research aims to build a quality control system for a hospital in Indonesia. The controlling system is built using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. This system is expected to be able to help directors in the calculation of hospital quality. Then be used as a reference to provide the evaluation to each section in the hospital. The result of this study is a model of Hospital Quality Control System.     Abstract

    The main purpose of this research is to design and create solar system learning media for elementary school children. This tool will provide visualization related to the solar system so that with this tool the child is expected to be interested in learning. The method used in this study is an experimental method. All DC motors, servo motors, and supporting electronic modules in the system will be controlled using the Raspberry Pi. This Raspberry has supported the process of converting text into sound where this process will be used for the explanation of each planet and the process of feature phenomena that occur in the solar system. The results of this study are learning media for the solar system.     Abstract

    The purpose of this research is to study the benefits of using activation codes for digital products in marketing. In this study, we used a descriptive method. An activation code is a code that can protect a product from unauthorized users so that digital products can only be used by users who have permission to use the product. The results of this research are in the form of the development of the use of strategies to protect digital product licenses by using an activation code. This code can only be obtained from certain parties who are from existing products, therefore, those who do not have the power to a product cannot provide access to products that do not belong to them. From the results, we can conclude that digital products, which are owned by the brand can only be used by the activation code given by the brand after the user requests permission from the brand either by buying or asking for permission. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

    Abstract

    The purpose of planning a city is to harmonize public and individual interests. The city planned to properly allocate land effectively and efficiently. Urban planning is the art of predicting change, drawing on the strengths of physical, social, economic, and political aspects in determining a particular sector or location. In other words, the purpose of urban planning is to increase the harmony and comfort of the physical environment or to fulfil the satisfaction and happiness of its inhabitants. Based on the results of the discussion, that changes that occurred in the city of Cimahi before and after regional autonomy can be seen from the Regional Regulation (Perda) No. 4 of 2012 concerning Spatial Planning for the City of Cimahi. That is because there is a lot of physical development (infrastructure) in the city of Cimahi, such as the Retail Business District, department stores, smartshops, office buildings, clubs, hotels, economic, civil, political headquarters, and traditional markets that are connected with modern and other existing modern infrastructure in Cimahi. The implementated of regional regulations can provide a definite step for the municipal government of Cimahi in carrying out the performance of its government.
