    DOI: 10.36909/jer.ASSEEE.16095

    Abstract

This research aims to create Smart Health Pregnancy software that educates pregnant women on fetal development. During pregnancy, a pregnant woman’s health highly influences the pregnancy success rate. Thus, knowing the pregnancy process is necessary for pregnant women. Although resources concerning fetal development such as textbooks, general articles, and websites can be accessed easily, these resources are often too condensed with text, have a less interactive display, and provide inadequate information. Therefore, Smart Health Pregnancy software would facilitate pregnant women in understanding fetal development, displayed in an interactive way using Augmented Reality (AR) technology. The AR method utilized is a marker-based tracking method where the user can use an Android smartphone camera to receive a marker that can display a virtual object in the real world. The virtual object is presented in the form of the embryo or fetus from 1 to 38 weeks in 3D. Furthermore, important information regarding fetal development and the health of pregnant women is also shown. From the results, 95% of the respondents stated that this software is user-friendly and very informative. It shows that the software has performed well and can educate pregnant women. © 2021 University of Kuwait. All rights reserved.

    Authors: Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, Setiawan M. R. P, Baihaqi Q. A, Pahlawan T. D, Gaol T. V. L

    DOI: 10.36909/jer.ASSEEE.16091

    Abstract

The Orang Dalam Pengawasan (ODP) and Pasien Dalam Pegawasan (PDP) Covid-19 monitoring system in the Health Service task force in Dago area is a system that monitors and records people who are indicated to be affected by the Covid-19 disease. Orang dalam Pengawasan means “people under monitoring” in Bahasa Indonesia while Pasien dalam Pegawasan means “patients under surveillance”. To support the ODP and PDP Covid-19 monitoring system, an application is needed that can assist in the monitoring process in the Health Office task force in the Dago area through the utilization of Android-based technology. This research aims to help the task force not be late in reporting the number of ODP and PDP to the Government of West Java Province. Moreover, it also aims to avoid differences for data between the public health center and the Health Service task force in the Dago area so that the results of this study are in the form of information about the total findings and monitoring of ODP and PDP Covid-19 every day through the Android application. This research used a descriptive qualitative method. The results show that the application could help the task force in reporting the number of ODP and PDP to West Java Province. In the ongoing system, when carrying out the monitoring process, the task force always contacts the health centers in Dago via telephone or WhatsApp for the data collection and reporting process to not be well computerized. It causes delays in reporting data to West Java Province. Problems also occurred with the amount of data due to the absence of a data closing system, which resulted in reports on the number of daily ODP and PDP Covid-19 data that were always differences between the public health center and the Health Office. In conclusion, this information system could help the reporting process. © 2021 University of Kuwait. All rights reserved.

  • Optimal Path Planning using Informed Probabilistic Road Map Algorithm

Optimal Path Planning using Informed Probabilistic Road Map Algorithm

    Author: Muhammad Aria

    DOI: 10.36909/jer.ASSEEE.16105

    Abstract

This study aims to propose a new path planning algorithm that can guarantee the optimal path solution. The method used is to hybridize the Probabilistic Road Map (PRM) algorithm with the Information Search Algorithm. This hybridization algorithm is called the Informed-PRM algorithm. There are two informed search methods used. The first method is the informed sampling through an ellipsoid subset whose eccentricity is dependent on the length of the shortest current solution that is successfully planned in that iteration. The second method is to use a local search algorithm. The basic PRM algorithm will be run in the first iteration. Since the second iteration, the generation of sample points in the PRM algorithm will be carried out based on information. The informed sampling method will be used to generate 50% of the sampling points. Meanwhile, the remaining number of sample points will be generated using a local search algorithm. Using several benchmark cases, we compared the performance of the Informed-PRM algorithm with the Rapidly Exploring Random Tree* (RRT*) and informed RRT* algorithm. The test results show that the Informed-PRM algorithm successfully constructs the nearly optimal path for all given cases. In producing the path, the time and path cost of the Informed-PRM algorithm is better than the RRT* and Informed RRT* algorithm. The Friedman test was then performed to check for the significant difference in performance between Informed-PRM with RRT* and Informed RRT*. Thus, the Informed-PRM algorithm can be implemented in various systems that require an optimal path planning algorithm, such as in the case of medical robotic surgery or autonomous vehicle systems. © 2021 University of Kuwait.
