UNIKOM KPM Gala 2026: Celebrating The 16th Anniversary “Aureate Legacy” Strengthens Ethics And Professionalism

BANDUNG, UNIKOM — In an effort to enhance members’ protocol competencies and professional ethics, the Student Activity Unit (UKM) of the Student Protocol Corps (KPM) at the Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM), Sarvajaya Cabinet for the 2025–2026 term, organized the KPM Gala 2026 event, which was combined with a Table Manners training session under the theme “Aureate Legacy – 16th Anniversary,” on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the Grand Tebu Hotel in Bandung. The event was attended by all UNIKOM KPM members and served as part of the celebration of the KPM’s 16th anniversary.

Also present at the event were the Director of Public Relations and Protocol at UNIKOM, Dr. Ir. Yuni Mogot, M.Si., CPR., the Head of the Protocol Division, Agung Nugraha, S.I.Kom., the Head of the Digital Marketing Division, Sri Pernia Warakmulty, M.Kom., and the team from the UNIKOM Directorate of Public Relations and Protocol.

In her opening remarks, the Director of Public Relations and Protocol at UNIKOM, Dr. Ir. Yuni Mogot, M.Si., CPR., expressed appreciation for KPM UNIKOM’s consistency in maintaining the organization’s existence over the past 16 years and its contributions in supporting various activities within the university. “I hope that through this event, we can gain more knowledge and experience. Moreover, the KPM student organization is service-oriented, so we need to continue learning and growing together. Furthermore, let us use this opportunity to strengthen our bonds, get to know one another better, and reinforce our solidarity in carrying out various campus duties and responsibilities alongside KPM UNIKOM under the leadership of the Chairperson and Vice Chairperson of KPM, namely Ghaitsa and Andhika,” she said.

Furthermore, Dr. Yuni also expressed appreciation and gratitude to the KPM UNIKOM Ambarrukmo Cabinet for the 2024–2025 term under the leadership of Muhammad Pradipta Waskitha for their dedication and contributions to developing the organization. According to her, although leadership has changed, the spirit of mentoring, guiding, and providing support to the next executive board remains strong so that KPM can continue to grow and make the best contributions to UNIKOM.

Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the UNIKOM KPM Sarvajaya Cabinet for the 2025–2026 term, Ghaitsa Amalia, expressed her hope that the KPM Gala event which also serves as the celebration of KPM’s 16th anniversary can serve as a momentum to strengthen bonds of friendship and foster a sense of family among all KPM members. “I hope that the KPM Gala, which also marks the 16th anniversary of KPM, can serve as a moment to strengthen bonds of friendship and a sense of family among all KPM members. Additionally, through the Table Manners session a key component of this event I hope all participants can gain new insights, etiquette, and valuable experiences that will benefit them both within the organization and in their future professional lives. “May this event run smoothly, be filled with warmth, and leave a positive impression on all of us,” said Ghaitsa.

The series of activities then continued with the Table Manners training session, which was one of the most anticipated sessions of the event. Through educational sessions and hands-on practice led by the Grand Tebu hotel team, participants gained an understanding of formal dining etiquette, international dining etiquette, and various aspects of professional behavior that are important in the workplace and protocol-related activities.

Additionally, the event featured an award ceremony as a form of appreciation for members who have demonstrated dedication and outstanding contributions to the organization. The atmosphere grew even more lively through various interactive games that strengthened bonds among members and fostered a spirit of togetherness within the UNIKOM KPM family.

Through the hosting of the 2026 KPM Gala, the UNIKOM Student Protocol Corps once again demonstrated its commitment to shaping students who are not only outstanding in organizational and protocol skills but also possess the ethics, integrity, and professionalism essential for facing future challenges. The celebration of KPM’s 16-year journey is expected to serve as a milestone for continuing to produce a new generation of young protocol officers who are adaptable, of good character, and ready to contribute to both the institution and the wider community. Integrating Qur’anic Principles and Technology: The PKM Team from the Accounting Study Program at UNIKOM Holds a Training Session on Managing Community Funds at Nugraha Mosque, Bandung City

BANDUNG, UNIKOM — In an effort to promote transparent, accountable, and technology-based financial management within religious communities and households, the Community Service Team (PKM) from the Accounting Study Program of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) organized a training session titled “Smart Management of Community Funds: Training in Financial Record-Keeping Using a Simple Application.” The event was held on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Nugraha Mosque, Jl. Muararajeun Kulon No. 50 RW 11, Cihaurgeulis, Bandung City.

The PKM activity was led by a lecturer from the UNIKOM D3 Accounting Study Program and the main speaker, Assoc. Prof. Adeh Ratna Komala, S.E., M.Si., CERA. During the event, Assoc. Prof. Adeh was assisted by a team of students consisting of Dzikri Ahmadtulloh Al-Amin, Mohammad Agung Arrifai, Kania Erlina, Mutiyara Aldilani, and Muhammad Reyhan Adam Kustiwa. The event was also conducted in collaboration with the Nugraha Mosque Management, the Chairman of the Nugraha Mosque Prosperity Council (DKM), Brig. Gen. (Ret.) Raharjo, and the Principal of Bina Insan Nugraha TPA, Fathunnisa, S.T.P., M.T.

In her presentation, Assoc. Prof. Adeh emphasized the importance of financial record-keeping, particularly in managing funds entrusted by the congregation. She explained that the primary foundation for financial record-keeping is found in Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 282, the longest verse in the Qur’an. This verse outlines the rules and ethics governing financial transactions and debts, serving as guidance for Muslims to maintain proper administrative order through the recording and witnessing of transactions, thereby upholding justice and preventing disputes.

Assoc. Prof. Adeh also noted that, based on this verse, every individual, especially those entrusted with responsibilities within an organization, is obligated to record all transactions that occur. Additionally, she explained that maintaining accountability in household finances is also an important responsibility, including for wives managing household budgets entrusted by their husbands. Proper financial record-keeping serves as a form of accountability that must be fulfilled responsibly. Furthermore, she presented the results of her 2025 research, which showed that household financial record-keeping plays a crucial role in maintaining family economic resilience and contributes to the creation of a harmonious family environment.

During the event, the training was conducted interactively in two phases. In the initial phase, participants received training in simple manual financial record-keeping by creating bookkeeping tables consisting of columns for date, description, income, expenses, and balance. After understanding the basics of bookkeeping, participants were given practical exercises to record in a journal. Subsequently, participants were guided in using a digital financial record-keeping application developed by Chad Verbruggen and Sepran Ashari. During the practical session, the UNIKOM student team actively assisted participants in completing daily practice exercises using both applications, which participants found highly beneficial for managing financial records, whether for household purposes or for the financial administration of the TPA and the mosque. As a form of support for religious activities and mosque operations, the UNIKOM PKM Team also donated a Maxbox CTSR 151 speaker.

Meanwhile, Brigadier General (Ret.) Raharjo, expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the UNIKOM PKM Team for providing training to the administrators and congregation of Nugraha Mosque. He also encouraged all participants to use the event as an opportunity to broaden their knowledge and perspectives, especially in response to the rapid pace of technological advancement. In line with this, the Principal of Bina Insan Nugraha TPA, Fathunnisa, S.T.P., M.T., expressed hope that similar activities could be conducted continuously so that mosque administrators receive ongoing guidance and the knowledge gained can be effectively implemented.

Throughout the event, participants demonstrated great enthusiasm in attending the entire training series. They also noted that financial record-keeping now feels much easier to manage, as the application used has significantly helped them maintain consistency in tracking daily income and expenditures.

Strengthening Vocational Education Synergy: Computerized Accounting Study Program UNIKOM Hosts Benchmarking Visit and Establishes Cooperation with Politeknik Prasetiya Mandiri Bogor

BANDUNG, UNIKOM — On Tuesday, May 12, 2026, the Computerized Accounting Study Program at Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) hosted a benchmarking visit from Politeknik Prasetiya Mandiri Bogor. Held in the meeting room on the 10th floor of UNIKOM Smart Building, the event also included the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) as an initial step toward cooperation between the two institutions and as a means of strengthening collaboration in the fields of education, academic development, and program quality improvement.

Also present at the event were Dr. Rio Yunanto, S.Kom., M.T. (Head of the Computerized Accounting Study Program), Dr. Susmini Indriani Lestariningati, S.T., M.T. (Head of the Computer Engineering Study Program), as well as lecturers from the Computerized Accounting Study Program, including Dr. Hj. Supriyati, S.E., M.Si., Ak., CA., ASEAN CPA., C.PI., CIAP., AMKI., Apriani Puti Purfini, S.Kom., M.T., and Hery Dwi Yulianto, S.T., M.Kom. Meanwhile, the delegation from Politeknik Prasetiya Mandiri Bogor was represented by the Head of the Computerized Accounting Study Program, Raden Muhammad Jiddan Aziz, S.Ak., M.Si., along with lecturers and students from the Computerized Accounting and Computer Engineering Association.

Dr. Rio Yunanto, S.Kom., M.T., expressed his appreciation for the visit from Politeknik Prasetiya Mandiri. He hoped the event would serve as a platform for sharing experiences and strengthening ties between educational institutions. “We warmly welcome this benchmarking visit as part of our efforts to expand our network of cooperation and share experiences in program development. Hopefully, through this activity, a collaboration can be established that benefits both institutions,” he said.

Meanwhile, Raden Muhammad Jiddan Aziz, S.Ak., M.Si., stated that the visit was part of an effort to strengthen academic relations and institutional learning to improve the quality of education at their institution.

Representatives from Politeknik Prasetiya Mandiri noted that UNIKOM is regarded as one of the higher education institutions with extensive experience and significant progress in managing technology and vocational-based academic programs. Therefore, this benchmarking activity is expected to provide new insights into curriculum development, learning systems, and strengthening of academic program governance.

The discussions during the benchmarking activity covered several key aspects, including curriculum development, educational support facilities, academic systems, course offerings, the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, and strategies for developing Computerized Accounting and Computer Engineering study programs in the digital era.

In addition to the discussion and benchmarking sessions, the event was marked by the signing of a MoU for cooperation between the Computerized Accounting Study Program of UNIKOM and Politeknik Prasetiya Mandiri. The signing marked the first step toward building synergy between higher education institutions, particularly in the areas of academics, human resource development, and the implementation of collaborative programs in the future.

Visual Communication Design and Graphic Design Student Associations Host the 2026 “Full Bloom Season” Exhibition, Showcasing Hundreds of Students’ Best Works

BANDUNG, UNIKOM — As part of their annual program, the Visual Communication Design (DKV) and Graphic Design (DG) Student Associations of the Faculty of Design at Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) are once again organizing the 2026 Exhibition Season titled “Full Bloom Season.” The exhibition runs for five days, from May 4 to 8, 2026, at the 6th floor atrium of the UNIKOM Smart Building. The venue serves as both a platform for appreciation and creative expression, allowing Faculty of Design students, particularly those from the DKV and GD study programs, to showcase a diverse range of their best works.

Under the “Full Bloom Season” concept, the exhibition features more than 200 outstanding student works from various courses and graduating classes. The displayed works were selected based on the highest grades achieved in each class, highlighting the visual quality and creativity of UNIKOM’s Visual Communication Design and Graphic Design students.

Muhammad Faisal Hafiz, Chair of the Visual Communication Design and Graphic Design Student Association for the 2025–2026 term, explained that the event is one of the annual programs aimed at providing a platform for student appreciation. “We selected the best works from each class and course to be exhibited. Therefore, the works on display are those with the highest scores that have gone through a selection process with the supervising lecturers,” he said.

The exhibition showcases works from various courses, including Visual Communication Design Studio (SDKV) 1, 3, and 5, Typography, Photography, Illustration, Composition 1 and 2, as well as Animation and Cinematography projects from several student cohorts.

Yusrizal Hilmi Sodri, the Executive Chair of the event, added that the theme “Full Bloom Season” was chosen to represent students’ works that are currently developing and “blooming” through their respective creative processes. According to him, each work is evaluated not only based on the final result but also on the story and process behind its creation. Therefore, the organizing committee also explored the background of each work, including the sources of inspiration, the underlying ideas, and the experiences students encountered during the creative process.

Meanwhile, the Coordinator of Student Affairs for DKV Study Program, Achmad Deptian Djenuari Rizky, M.Ds., expressed his appreciation for the event. He noted that the quality of student works has improved significantly and demonstrates the students’ readiness to enter the creative industry. “Overall, there has been improvement both in the quality of the works and in the students’ readiness to create. The quality of the students’ designs is already very strong and can compete with works from outside institutions,” he stated.

Furthermore, he added that events such as Musim Pamer serve as important platforms for students to gain recognition, validation, and motivation in developing their creative potential and careers. “We hope this event will continue to be held annually because it serves as inspiration for other students while also encouraging them to be more confident in showcasing the quality of their work,” he added.

Beyond serving as an academic showcase, the 2026 Exhibition Season also strengthens the values of community within the Faculty of Design student. Through this event, students not only learn how to present their work professionally but also develop collaboration, self-confidence, and a professional creative spirit.

UNIKOM Hosts a Collaboration between APTISI West Java and KPID to Strengthen Broadcasting Literacy through a Major MoU Signing Ceremony with 224 Private Universities and Partners in West Java

BANDUNG, UNIKOM — On Wednesday, May 21, 2026, Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) hosted the “Nyemah Atikan Penyiaran” event themed “Media Awareness for the Community,” combined with a massive MoU signing ceremony between the Association of Indonesian Private Universities (APTISI) West Java, the West Java Regional Broadcasting Commission (KPID), and 224 partner universities, institutions, and agencies. The event was attended by various key figures from the government, academia, and broadcasting organizations.

Held at the 17th floor auditorium of the UNIKOM Smart Building, the event was attended by Dr. Herman Suryatman, Drs., M.Si. (Regional Secretary of West Java Province), Prof. 3 Prof. HC. Dr. Ir. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T. (Chair of APTISI West Java and Rector of UNIKOM), Dr. Adiyana Slamet, S.IP., M.Si. (Chair of KPID West Java), and Hardly Stefano Fenelon Pariela (Member of the Supervisory Board of TVRI).

The activity began with opening remarks from Prof. 3 Prof. HC. Dr. Ir. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T. He stated that all higher education institutions must work together to build educational institutions that are adaptive and aligned with current developments in the digital era and information and communication technology (ICT). He also emphasized that this event marked a special milestone, as it was the first time KPID West Java had organized a collaboration with the Association of Indonesian Private Universities Region IV (West Java and Banten), involving universities from across Indonesia, and the first time such an event had been held in West Java Province.

Furthermore, Prof. Eddy also hope that the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between KPID and higher education institutions, as well as partners in West Java, would provide added value for universities, particularly in supporting improvements in accreditation quality and university rankings, whether through QS Rankings, Webometrics, or other academic assessment indicators.

Meanwhile, the Chair of KPID West Java, Dr. Adiyana Slamet, S.IP., M.Si., expressed his appreciation for the collaboration between KPID West Java and the Association of Indonesian Private Universities Region IV (West Java and Banten) in strengthening the broadcasting ecosystem in West Java. He explained that KPID West Java is ready to collaborate with universities through the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, encompassing education, research, and community service.

According to him, this collaboration also reflects the spirit of National Awakening Day, commemorated every May 20, where the progress of an institution or program cannot be achieved optimally without synergy and support from various parties. At the end of his remarks, Dr. Adiyana also expressed appreciation and gratitude to all parties who supported the event.

On this occasion, the Regional Secretary of West Java Province, Dr. Herman Suryatman, Drs., M.Si., delivered the keynote address and extended congratulations on Broadcasting Day in the context of regional broadcasting. He also noted that the consultation meeting served as a moment of consolidation to discuss the importance of the broadcasting ecosystem in the digital era. He further acknowledged the Rector of UNIKOM as the host, along with representatives from APTISI and KPID West Java, for sharing insights with participants regarding the challenges and strategies for strengthening broadcasting amid changing times.

In addition, all broadcasting institutions, including public, private, and community broadcasters, were encouraged to share collective responsibility in collaborating with the West Java Provincial Government to convey development messages aimed at realizing “Jawa Barat Istimewa.” This approach must also consider the changing demographic composition of society, now dominated by Millennials and Generation Z, so that communication strategies remain relevant and capable of reaching all segments of society.

It was further emphasized that broadcasting should not merely prioritize entertainment-oriented content but should also emphasize educational value and guidance. In closing, Dr. Herman expressed his hope that KPID West Java, together with various stakeholders, including universities, would continue strengthening collaboration in building a healthy, adaptive, and educational broadcasting ecosystem, so that the vision of realizing “Jawa Barat Istimewa” can be achieved more rapidly.

The event continued with the signing of a major MoU between KPID West Java, APTISI West Java, UNIKOM, and 224 partners from various universities, institutions, and other organizations. The signing symbolized a shared commitment to strengthening broadcasting literacy, media education, and the quality of public information in West Java.

In addition to the signing ceremony, the event also featured a presentation session with the Coordinator of Institutional Affairs for the West Java Regional Broadcasting Commission, Dr. Lukman M. Fauzi, S.IP., M.Si., and Member of the Supervisory Board of TVRI, Hardly Stefano Fenelon Pariela. The discussion session was moderated by the Head of the Master’s Program in Communication Science at Universitas Komputer Indonesia, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Desayu Eka Surya, S.Sos., M.Si., CICS., and focused on the theme “The Broadcasting Ecosystem in the Digital Age.”

As the host, UNIKOM demonstrated its commitment to supporting the improvement of media literacy and strengthening public media awareness through strategic collaboration among universities, the government, and broadcasting institutions. Through the MoU signing and seminar, APTISI West Java and KPID West Java reaffirmed their commitment to fostering sustainable collaboration to enhance public understanding of media literacy and broadcasting, while simultaneously strengthening the role of higher education institutions as centers of education and digital transformation within society. Collaboration between UNIKOM FEB Accounting Program and the UNIKOM Eduplus Team Enhances Students’ AI Skills through Google AI Training and Certification

BANDUNG, UNIKOM — The Accounting Program of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at the Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM), in collaboration with the UNIKOM Eduplus Team, held a training session titled “Why Artificial Intelligence Matters in Accounting” on Monday, May 11, 2026, at the Miracle Auditorium on the 4th floor of UNIKOM Campus I. This event is part of an effort to enhance students’ competencies in addressing digital transformation in the field of accounting through the utilization of artificial intelligence (AI) technology.

The interactive training featured speakers from the UNIKOM Eduplus Team: Eduplus Coordinator and Deputy Vice Rector IV, Adam Mukharil Bachtiar, S.Kom., M.T., Ph.D.; Bella Hardiyana, S.Kom., M.Kom., Ph.D., and Irfan Dwiguna Sumitra, S.Kom., M.Kom., Ph.D. In their presentations, the speakers explained various implementations of AI technology, including the use of Google AI in modern accounting processes, ranging from financial record automation and data analysis to data-driven business decision-making.

The Head of the Accounting Program at FEB UNIKOM, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sri Dewi Anggadini, S.E., M.Si., Ak., CA., emphasized in her opening remarks the importance of mastering technology for accounting students as preparation for the ever-evolving dynamics of the industry. “Technological advancements, particularly artificial intelligence, have significantly transformed the way accounting is conducted. Students need to understand and be able to utilize this technology to be ready to face industry challenges,” she said.

A total of 214 participants, consisting of Accounting Program students, faculty members, and educational staff, enthusiastically attended the event. This was evident from the high level of participant engagement in the interactive discussion sessions addressing the opportunities and challenges of AI implementation in the field of accounting.

In addition to the training, the event also included a competency certification exam organized by the UNIKOM Eduplus Team. This certification serves as both an evaluation and a means to strengthen participants’ competencies in practically understanding and implementing AI technology in the field of accounting.

Through this training and certification program, the UNIKOM FEB Accounting Program demonstrated its commitment to supporting the development of human resources capable of adapting to technological advancements. It is hoped that UNIKOM accounting students will be better prepared to face the era of accounting digitalization and be able to compete in a global workforce driven by technology and data. Doctoral Management Study Program, Faculty of Postgraduate UNIKOM, Graduates a Second Doctoral Student in the Field of Digital Management

BANDUNG, UNIKOM — On Wednesday, May 13, 2026, Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) once again achieved an academic milestone through the second Open Doctoral Promotion Session of the Doctoral Program in Management Science, Faculty of Postgraduate, UNIKOM. Held at the Auditorium on the 17th Floor of the UNIKOM Smart Building, the session featured promovendus Dr. Dhimas Tri Buana, S.E., M.M., M.Kom. who officially earned his doctoral degree after successfully defending his dissertation before the supervisory and examining committees.

The doctoral defense was led by the Rector of UNIKOM, Prof. 3 Prof. HC. Dr. Ir. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., who served as Chair of the Session and Examiner. He was accompanied by Supervisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rahma Wahdiniwaty, Dra., M.Si., and Co-Supervisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dedi Sulistiyo Soegoto, S.T., M.T., along with the panel of examiners, including Prof. Dr. Hj. Umi Narimawati, Dra., S.E., M.Si., Prof. Dr. Muhardi, S.E., M.E., and Prof. Dr. Sutisna Muhari, S.E., M.E.

During the open defense, the doctoral candidate, Dhimas Tri Buana, presented his dissertation entitled “The Influence of E-Service Quality on E-Loyalty through Experience and E-Satisfaction in Digital Banking Applications, Moderated by Generations X, Y, and Z (A Survey of Commercial Bank Customers in South Sulawesi Province).” The research highlights the importance of digital banking service quality in building customer loyalty through user experience and customer satisfaction in the era of digital transformation.

The defense proceedings began with the candidate’s presentation of his research findings, followed by a question-and-answer session, rebuttals, and in-depth discussions led by the supervisory committee and the examiners. Various strategic questions regarding the research methodology, scientific contributions, and practical implications of the study for the development of the digital banking industry became central topics during the open defense.

Based on a comprehensive evaluation conducted by the supervisory committee and the panel of examiners, Dhimas Tri Buana, S.E., M.M., M.Kom., was declared to have passed and was officially awarded the degree of Doctor of Management from the Faculty of Postgraduate. It was also announced during the session that Dr. Dhimas Tri Buana, S.E., M.M., M.Kom., is the second doctoral graduate of the Doctoral Program in Management Science at the Faculty of Postgraduate UNIKOM.

In an interview, Prof. 3 Prof. HC. Dr. Ir. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T. expressed his appreciation for the candidate’s dedication and academic achievements throughout his doctoral studies. Prof. Eddy also explained that this open defense marked the second doctoral defense held by UNIKOM’s Doctoral Program in Management Science, with Dr. Dhimas Tri Buana, S.E., M.M., M.Kom., becoming the first graduate of the program’s second cohort. According to him, Dr. Dhimas’s success in completing his studies within 2 years and 7 months, achieving a GPA of 3.97 and graduating with Magna Cum Laude, is a remarkable accomplishment that deserves to inspire other doctoral students.

Furthermore, Prof. Eddy expressed his hope that this achievement would motivate other students, particularly those in the first and second cohorts, to complete their studies on time with outstanding academic results and to apply the knowledge they have gained for the benefit of the community, institutions, society, and the nation. He also expressed pride in the graduation of two doctoral graduates from the UNIKOM DIM Program, namely Dr. Masduki and Dr. Dhimas, whom he considers role models of enthusiasm and dedication for doctoral students currently completing their studies.

An atmosphere of emotion and pride marked the ceremony for the presentation of the Certificate of Passing the Doctoral Defense, followed by a group photo session with family members, the supervisory team, and the examining committee as a gesture of appreciation for the candidate’s success in completing his doctoral education.

Meanwhile, on the same occasion, Dr. Dhimas Tri Buana, S.E., M.M., M.Kom., stated that earning a doctoral degree is not merely about the final result, but also about a long and challenging journey. He explained that his research topic is closely related to his professional background in the banking industry, a field in which he has worked for approximately 25 years. According to him, the challenges he faced during his doctoral studies were even greater because he had to pursue his education while living outside the city, specifically in Makassar, which required significant sacrifices in terms of time, energy, and commitment. Nevertheless, he believes that every challenge can be overcome through sincerity, dedication, and perseverance. Dr. Dhimas also expressed his gratitude to his family, who consistently provided support and patience while he focused on his studies until he successfully completed his doctoral education.

Celebrating Three Decades of the Organization UNIKOM HMAk Hosts its 30th Anniversary Celebration with the Theme “Sky-Disc”

BANDUNG, UNIKOM — The Accounting Student Association (HMAk) of Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) held its 30th Anniversary celebration on Monday, April 27, 2026, at the 4th Floor Auditorium of the Miracle Building of UNIKOM. With the theme “SKY-DISC (Sensation of Thirty: Kyma & Disco)”, the event was lively and full of togetherness as a moment to reflect on the organization’s journey over three decades.

The 30th Anniversary celebration served as a gathering to strengthen solidarity among active executives, Accounting Program students from various graduating classes, former executives, and HMAk UNIKOM alumni. Beyond marking the organization’s anniversary, the event also served as a platform for character development, broadening horizons, and motivating students to face academic and professional challenges.

The event began with opening remarks from the Executive Chair, Saskia Rajihan, and the General Chair of HMAk UNIKOM, Wine Aulia Putri Mahesa. Both expressed gratitude and appreciation to all parties who supported the event’s organization.

The anniversary event also received full support from the Dean of the UNIKOM Faculty of Economics and Business. In her remarks, the Dean of the UNIKOM Faculty of Economics and Business, Prof. Dr. Siti Kurnia Rahayu, S.E., M.Ak., Ak., CA., expressed appreciation for HMAk UNIKOM’s consistency and presence in fostering an active, progressive, and inspiring organizational environment for students. Furthermore, Prof. Siti Kurnia also expressed her hope that all students would be able to utilize their time in college as a process of self-development that brings positive change for the future. According to her, every journey and experience during their time as students at UNIKOM can become a “miracle” that shapes character, competence, and readiness to face the working world.

The advisors of HMAk UNIKOM, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sri Dewi Anggadini, S.E., M.Si., Ak., and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Adeh Ratna Komala, S.E., M.Si., CERA., as Supervisors who continue to support the development of student activities in the Accounting Study Program were also present on the occasion.

As the main agenda began, a warm and grateful atmosphere filled the room during the symbolic birthday cake-cutting ceremony, celebrating HMAk UNIKOM’s 30-year journey in building an adaptive and sustainable organization. One of the highlights of the event was the alumni talk show titled “Failure Confessions: What I Wish I Knew at 20.” During this session, alumni shared their experiences, challenges, and life lessons they faced from their college years through to entering the workforce.

In this interactive discussion, participants were encouraged to understand that failure is not the end of the journey, but rather an essential part of the learning and self-development process. The material presented also motivated students to continue growing, dare to try new things, and build mental resilience to face the dynamics of their future professional lives.

The festive atmosphere of the event was further enhanced by various entertainment performances and the creativity of UNIKOM Accounting students showcasing their talents in the arts and performing arts. Additionally, an interactive quiz session added to the participants’ enthusiasm through a variety of engaging questions that livened up the event’s atmosphere. The series of events for UNIKOM HMAk’s 30th Anniversary was then concluded with a musical performance and an official closing ceremony, which took place in a spirit of togetherness and camaraderie.

Through the organization of the Anniversary, HMAk UNIKOM reaffirmed its commitment as a student organization actively engaged in building a collaborative, creative, and adaptive academic ecosystem. UNIKOM Welcomes Educational Visit from SMK Negeri 3 Metro Lampung to Strengthen Insights into Higher Education and Digital Technology

BANDUNG, UNIKOM — Thursday, May 7, 2026, the Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) hosted an educational visit from SMK Negeri 3 Metro Lampung. Held at the Miracle Auditorium on the 4th floor of UNIKOM Campus I, the delegation from SMK Negeri 3 Metro Lampung was welcomed directly by the UNIKOM Directorate of Public Relations and Protocol team along with the UNIKOM Student Protocol Corps. The visit was part of an effort to introduce students to the world of higher education while strengthening their technological and educational knowledge, preparing them to better navigate developments in education and industry in the digital age.

The event commenced with welcoming remarks from the Director of Public Relations and Protocol of UNIKOM, Dr. Ir. Yuni Mogot, M.Si., CPR. In her speech, Dr. Yuni expressed her gratitude and appreciation to SMK Negeri 3 Metro Lampung for selecting UNIKOM as the destination university for their educational visit and exploration of higher education. Furthermore, she explained that current technological advancements have driven significant changes across various sectors of life. According to her, digital disruption has transformed many aspects of society, requiring the younger generation to adapt, possess digital competencies, and be prepared to face future challenges.

She also invited all participants to gain a deeper understanding of UNIKOM through a presentation on the university profile and the PIQIE culture of UNIKOM, which stands for Professionalism, Integrity, Quality, Information Technology, and Excellence. These values serve as the foundation for developing outstanding, character-driven human resources capable of competing at both national and international levels. She further introduced the campus environment and academic support facilities available at UNIKOM as a technology and innovation-based university.

Meanwhile, Joko Sukarno, S.Pd., Head of the Computer and Network Engineering Program at SMK Negeri 3 Metro Lampung, speaking on behalf of the School Principal, delivered his remarks, stating that this educational visit is part of the school’s efforts to broaden students’ horizons and expand their perspectives on higher education and future self-development opportunities. “Through this visit, we aim to broaden the students’ horizons, helping them see where they can develop themselves and continue their education in fields they are interested in. Although we come from a regional area, we want the students to have a broad, open mindset and be ready to compete,” he explained.

Furthermore, Joko Sukarno, S.Pd., also noted that the visit to UNIKOM left a very positive impression on the school. After seeing the campus environment, facilities, and various academic programs offered by UNIKOM firsthand, the school felt even more confident that UNIKOM is the right choice of higher education institution for their students. Additionally, Joko commended UNIKOM numerous achievements, the quality of its faculty, and the campus facilities, which he deemed highly supportive of the learning process and the development of students’ competencies. At the end of his remarks, Joko Sukarno encouraged the students not to hesitate in pursuing higher education and to remain enthusiastic about shaping their future. The series of activities then continued with an academic presentation session by Dhika Mega Pratama, M.Ds., from UNIKOM New Student Admissions team. Speaking on behalf of UNIKOM New Student Admissions team Director, Yudistira Soegoto, S.Kom., M.Kom., he explained various details regarding the new student admission system, scholarship programs, UNIKOM’s academic strengths, and opportunities for student achievement development at both national and international levels.

On the same occasion, the Head of the Visual Communication Design Program, Dr. Kankan Kasmana, M.Ds., in his presentation, discussed the potential of the digital creative industry, technology-based visual design development, and career prospects for graduates in the fields of design, multimedia, the creative industry, and digital branding.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Informatics Engineering Study Program, Hanhan Maulana, M.Kom., Ph.D., explained developments in information technology, artificial intelligence, software engineering, and the wide range of career opportunities in the rapidly growing digital technology sector amid today’s digital transformation era.

Lastly, the Head of the Computer Engineering Study Program, Dr. Susmini Indriani Lestariningati, S.T., M.T., delivered a presentation on the advantages of the Computer Engineering Study Program, developments in computer technology, and career opportunities in hardware systems, computer networks, and intelligent technologies.

UNIKOM Strengthens Human Resource Competencies through “Tendik Berdampak 2026” Program by Kemendiktisaintek

BANDUNG, UNIKOM — Universitas Komputer Indonesia, through Directorate of General Administration, has once again demonstrated its commitment to strengthening the quality of human resources by actively participating in the “2026 Impactful Academic Staff Workshop-Benchmarking: Strengthening Competence and Professionalism” organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemendiktisaintek) from April 6–10, 2026.

For this national program, UNIKOM sent two of top academic staff members who successfully passed a rigorous selection process: Agung Nugraha, S.I.Kom., from the Directorate of Public Relations and Protocol in the field of Public Relations Administration, who participated in benchmarking training at BINUS University, Jakarta; and Salman Muhammad, S.Kom., from the Directorate of Technology and Information Systems Development (PTDSI) in the field of Computer Administration, who was selected to attend training at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Yogyakarta.

As a follow-up to these activities, on Monday, May 11, 2026, in Room L.030 of the UNIKOM Smart Building, both participants presented the results of their training and the implementation of the Impactful Staff Program within the UNIKOM environment. The presentation was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Agus Riyanto, S.T., M.T., CSBA. (Vice Rector II for Human Resources), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Adeh Ratna Komala, S.E., M.Si., CERA. (Director of General Administration), and Dr. Ir. Yuni Mogot, M.Si., CPR. (Director of Public Relations and Protocol)

In an interview, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Agus, stated that UNIKOM’s participation in the “Tendik Berdampak” program is part of the university’s efforts to cultivate outstanding and professional human resources. “As part of our commitment to developing high-quality human resources, UNIKOM participates in initiatives launched by the Ministry of Higher Education, one of which is Tendik Berdampak program. Alhamdulillah, UNIKOM was able to send two educational staff members to participate in this program. I hope that what they learned during the training at BINUS and UGM can be implemented at UNIKOM in their respective fields,” he said.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Agus also added that similar opportunities will continue to be made available to other educational staff members as part of enhancing competencies and strengthening human resource capacity within UNIKOM. “Moving forward, we hope UNIKOM can send more educational staff members to participate in competency development programs like these. The capabilities and skills of educational staff must be continuously improved through workshops and ongoing competency certification,” he added.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Adeh, also expressed appreciation for the achievements of the two educational staff members. “I deeply appreciate this extraordinary effort. The ‘Tendik Berdampak’ program from the Ministry of Education and Culture was warmly welcomed by the Rector through Vice Rector II for Human Resources. Of the seven educational staff members recommended to participate in the selection process, thankfully Mr. Agung and Mr. Salman successfully qualified and participated in the program for a full week. Today, both of them have reported the results of the activities and their implementation to us. Hopefully, this will have a significant positive impact on UNIKOM,” she stated.

In his report, Agung Nugraha, S.I.Kom., highlighted several key points regarding the implementation of the activity, including the importance of the strategic role of Public Relations Officers in educational institutions; the delivery of accurate, timely, humane, and ethical information to university stakeholders; strengthening a strategic public relations mindset in addressing the dynamics of digital communication; and the planning and execution of targeted communication strategies (PR Planning & Execution).

Additionally, the materials covered included the adaptation of new media and digital communication management (Digital PR & Media Management), strengthening stakeholder relationships and engagement (Stakeholder Engagement), the application of benchmarking and best practices in modern public relations, the implementation of a humanistic approach in public service within the campus environment, fostering a culture of excellent service toward students, parents, and university guests, evaluating service quality improvements through interpersonal communication approaches, strengthening internal synergy among work units within UNIKOM, and strategies for enhancing institutional reputation through professional and adaptive public communication.

He also stated that “overall, this activity not only enhances technical competencies but also shapes a new paradigm in viewing the role of public relations as a strategic bridge between the institution and the public. I feel more prepared, inspired, and confident to tackle the dynamics of communication in the field.”

Meanwhile, Salman Muhammad, S.Kom., noted that the Computer Systems Administration training at UGM provided valuable insights into digital transformation, strengthening technological infrastructure, system security, and the implementation of a smart campus. According to him, the program also fostered collaboration and networking among educational staff from various universities across Indonesia.

“This program is highly engaging because we gain new connections and experiences from universities across Indonesia. We also have an action learning project as a form of implementing the benchmarking results between UNIKOM and UGM, particularly in the development of digital services and information technology governance,” he explained.

UNIKOM’s active participation in the “Tendik Berdampak 2026” program serves as proof of the university’s commitment to supporting the development of adaptive, professional, and highly competitive educational staff competencies. Through continuous human resource capacity building, UNIKOM is confident to continue providing excellent educational services and institutional governance in the era of digital transformation.
