    SHINING LIKE A STAR ACCOUNTANT: AKFUNtansi 2025, UNIKOM Accounting Students’ Expression Platform

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM – The Accounting Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UNIKOM, held an event titled “AKFUNtansi 2025: Let’s Party With Exciting Fantasies and Shine Like an Accountant Star” on Saturday, April 12, 2025. Taking place in the 4th Floor Auditorium of the Miracle Building, the event ran from 10:00 WIB until completion as part of the 29th Anniversary of the Accounting Student Association (HIMAk). The program featured art performances, outfit parades, student talent showcases, alumni talk shows, and motivational sessions on organizational development.

    The event opened with remarks from the Head of the Accounting Undergraduate Program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sri Dewi Anggadini, SE, M.Si.., Ak., emphasized the importance of creating spaces for student expression and appreciation. “The HIMAk Anniversary is not just a celebration, but also a valuable learning space. Students can hone their soft skills, foster a sense of ownership, and strengthen cross-generational networks,” she said. “I hope HIMAk will continue to be a space for leadership development, strengthen community synergy, and inspire other organizations.”

    UNIKOM Director of Student Affairs, Andrias Darmayadi, S.IP., M.Si., Ph.D., also delivered encouragement in his remarks: “Involvement in organizations is essential for building character, leadership, and readiness for the professional world. Don’t hesitate to be active, because it shapes you into a well-rounded individual who is ready to compete.”

    In the talk show session, accounting alumna Mrs. Ajeng, SE., shared her professional journey. “In the world of work, GPA is not the only thing that matters. Attitude, communication, and adaptability are crucial—and organizational experience is the best preparation for the real world.”

    The event was also attended by the Dean of FEB UNIKOM, Prof. Dr. Siti Kurnia Rahayu, SE, M.Ak, Ak., CA.; Head of the D3 Accounting Program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wati Aris Astuti, SE., M.Si., Ak., CA., and Head of the BKKLA Division, Dr. Nungki Kusuma, along with students from multiple generations.

    “Keep learning, achieving, and contributing with enthusiasm. Make every activity like AKFUNtansi a space to grow into strong and proud accountants,” said Prof. Dr. Siti Kurnia Rahayu to all Accounting students.

    With its atmosphere of creativity and togetherness, AKFUNtansi 2025 highlighted that UNIKOM Accounting students are not only academically accomplished but also capable of becoming an inspiring generation of future leaders.

    UNIKOM Attends Halal bi Halal in Coblong Subdistrict: Strengthening the Wisdom of Forgiveness

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM – Synergy between the government and the education environment is the main goal in national development, especially in improving the quality of education. After Eid al-Fitr 1446 H, to strengthen relationships and foster a sense of togetherness, Coblong Subdistrict, Bandung, a Halal bi Halal gathering in 2025, involving State Civil Apparatus (ASN) and stakeholders from business, education, security, and health sectors in Coblong Subdistrict.

    Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) represented by the Head of Public Relations & Public Communication Information Division, Arif Try Cahyadi, M.Ds., together with the Staff of the Directorate of Public Relations and Protocol UNIIKOM, Aldi Mohamad Akbar, S.Ds., attended the invitation as a form of friendship and participation in the local government. The activity was held at Sheraton Bandung Hotel & Towers, Jl. Ir. H. Juanda No. 390, Dago, Coblong District, Bandung City, on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. 

    On this occasion Krinda Hamidipradja, S.H., M.Si., as the Head of Coblong Sub-district, gave his speech “Thank you to the stakeholders in Coblong Sub-district who have attended, starting from the leaders or representatives from business actors, religious actors, education, health, and security. With the motto Coblong JITU (Honest, Innovative, Responsive, Superior and Achieving), as a motivation for the success of Coblong sub-district to be more advanced, healthy, and achieving,” he said.

    The togetherness of the Halal Bihalal activity was also attended by the Deputy Mayor of Bandung, H. Erwin, S.E., M.Pd., who also delivered a tausyiah and guidance to the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in the Coblong District environment and guests. Erwin conveyed 2 (two) main points, namely the duty of leadership as a means to attain Allah’s heaven by understanding his duties as a leader, namely intelligent (intellectual, spiritual & emotional qualities), honest (the words & actions of a leader will be held accountable), fair, tolerant, balanced, and brave to uphold goodness, and conveyed that the people who are longed for by the heavenly experts are people who can hold back anger and can forgive other people’s mistakes, from there including people who are loved by Allah SWT. so that they may be rewarded with heaven as vast as the heavens and the earth.

    After the tausyiah, the Halal Bi Halal activity was continued with a joint prayer and photo documentation to immortalize the activity. Then the event was completed with musyafahah (shaking hands) as a symbol of forgiveness between officials in Coblong District and ASN and invited guests who attended and closed with hospitality. 

    Through this Halal Bi Halal activity, it is hoped that a closer and more harmonious relationship will be established between elements of government and the world of education, especially UNIKOM and Coblong District. UNIKOM’s presence shows a commitment to continue to work together in building an educated, moral, and respectful society. The spirit of mutual forgiveness and strengthening cross-sector collaboration is expected to be the foundation in creating an inclusive, peaceful, and productive environment in the future.

    UNIKOM Directorate of Journals and Scientific Publications Holds OJS Coaching and Accreditation Preparation to Improve Scientific Publication   Quality

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM – In an effort to strengthen the quality of scientific journals in the campus environment, Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM), through the Directorate of Journals and Scientific Publications, held Open Journal System (OJS) coaching and accreditation preparation sessions for the National Journal Accreditation (ARJUNA). This event took place in Room 10.010 Smart Building from 09.00 to 14.00 WIB.

    This activity was attended by journal managers from various faculties, study programs, and divisions at UNIKOM, with the main objective of providing an in-depth understanding of OJS-based journal management and strategies for undergoing the national accreditation process. In this session, participants were provided with crucial information regarding the ARJUNA journal accreditation assessment criteria, such as publishing management, quality of article substance, and publication ethics. 

    This activity is part of the institution’s commitment to continuously improve the standard of scientific publications and encourage UNIKOM journals to achieve higher national accreditation. Director of UNIKOM Scientific Journals and Publications, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Poni Sukaesih Kurniati, S.IP, M.Si, expressed her gratitude, stating: “Alhamdulillah, one of our journals achieved SINTA 2 accreditation in the March period. This is not an easy achievement. However, to maintain or even improve the ranking, we must enhance article quality, writing strength, scalability, and the journal management system,” said Assoc. Prof. Dr. Poni.

    The coaching material includes the introduction of OJS features with the latest version, the editorial process mapping accreditation document completeness, and exposure to OJS version 3.4 implementation materials delivered by Donny Reza, M.Kom. Participants also received guidance in adjusting the journal structure with guidelines from ARJUNA (National Journal Accreditation), including aspects of readability, indexation, and reviewer management.

    This activity received a positive response from the participants, who were enthusiastic about deepening their understanding and improving the journal system in their respective units. By organizing this activity, UNIKOM showed concrete steps in supporting the improvement of the quality of national scientific journals and strengthen a culture of credible and competitive scientific publishing.

    UNIKOM Student Selected As Best Participant In DPR RI Campus Parliament Forum 

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM – A representative student of Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) Government Science Study Program 4th semester (2023), Fahmi Saeful Bahri Sudrajat, was chosen as the best participant in the 2025 Campus Parliament activity organized by the Secretariat General of the DPR RI on 16-17 April at Graha Sanusi Hardjadinata, Padjadjaran University, Bandung.

    This activity is a parliamentary simulation that involves students from various universities in Indonesia to discuss and express their aspirations related to the Draft Law on the National Education System (Sisdiknas Bill) No. 20 of 2003, especially in the Problem Inventory List (DIM) 88 and 120, which discuss the higher education curriculum and education funding responsibilities.

    The forum was attended by several prominent figures, including Cucun Ahmad Syamsurijal (Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives), Hetifah Sjaifudin (Chairperson of Commission X of the House of Representatives), as well as high-ranking officials from the Secretariat General of the House of Representatives and renowned academics, including Cecep Darmawan (Professor of UPI) and Susi Dwi Harijati (Professor of Constitutional Law UNPAD).

    Fahmi was selected as the best participant due to his active contribution in delivering critical, solution-oriented, and relevant ideas to the theme raised. He is also considered to have excellent communication skills and provides innovative views on the importance of an inclusive education system in Indonesia.

    The selection process for this activity was conducted openly through a Google Form, where prospective participants were asked to describe their ideas related to the theme of the activity and include a Curriculum Vitae (CV) for consideration. After going through the administrative selection process and substance assessment, Fahmi was declared qualified to represent UNIKOM.

    Fahmi acknowledged the campus’s support for his participation. “Support from the campus and my study program means a lot to me. They assisted with the administrative process, provided motivation, and gave me space to grow,” he said.

    He hopes that Campus Parliament activities can continue to be held regularly and reach more students from various regions. According to him, this activity not only broadens horizons and networks but also helps shape the younger generation to be more caring, critical, and active in the democratic process, especially in the field of education “Hopefully, this experience can inspire other students to not only be spectators, but also get involved in shaping the future of the nation,” Fahmi concluded.

    The Campus Parliament activity is expected to be carried out in a sustainable manner and reach more students from various regions. It is also hoped that this forum will serve as an effective platform for shaping the character of the younger generation that is socially conscious, critical, and active in national issues, especially in the field of education.

    Bandung, UNIKOM – Building harmonious relationships with external stakeholders is part of Universitas Komputer Indonesia’s (UNIKOM) efforts to expand cooperation and collaboration across various fields. One such initiative is led by the Directorate of Public Relations and Protocol, which builds strong partnerships with the media. Journalists and media outlets serve as UNIKOM’s strategic partners in strengthening its connection with the wider public through the dissemination of information and news across various platforms.

    As a gesture of friendship and appreciation, UNIKOM, through the Directorate of Public Relations and Protocol, invited media partners on Friday, March 21, 2025. In addition to strengthening relationships and collaboration, the event also became a moment of sharing, which included the presentation of Eid al-Fitr 1446 H gift parcels from the Rector of UNIKOM to the press.

    The gathering was opened by Arif Try Cahyadi, M.Ds., Head of the Division of Public Relations and Public Communication, in a warm Ramadhan atmosphere. In his remarks, Arif expressed his gratitude to all media partners for their ongoing synergy and support, while also marking his appointment to lead the division:

    “I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to all our media partners for the strong collaboration we have enjoyed so far. This occasion is not only a moment of friendship but also the beginning of a renewed commitment under my leadership to continue building and enhancing our cooperation with the media,” said Arif.

    The event was also attended by Acting Director of Public Relations and Protocol, Dr. Desayu Eka Surya, S.Sos., M.Si., CICS. In her address, Dr. Desayu thanked members of the press for their presence and longstanding collaboration with UNIKOM in media coverage. She expressed hope that this gathering would pave the way for even stronger collaboration in the future.

    The session continued with an open discussion and sharing session, where members of the media conveyed their appreciation and offered valuable feedback to further enhance the quality of writing and photo documentation in UNIKOM’s press releases.

    The gathering, held during the holy month of Ramadan, concluded with the symbolic handover of Eid parcels from UNIKOM to media partners, followed by group documentation.     Congratulations on Achieving “Excellent” Accreditation for UNIKOM’s Master’s Programs in Information Systems, Computer Systems, Computer Engineering, and Information Management (2025)

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM – Congratulations, four study programs (Prodi) at the Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) have successfully achieved “Excellent” status based on the latest accreditation results. These study programs are Master of Information Systems (MSI), Computer Systems (SK), Computer Engineering (TK), and Information Management (MI).

    The “Excellent” accreditation for the university itself refers to the highest recognition status granted by the official accreditation body in Indonesia, the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education through the Independent Accreditation Agency (LAM), which is an independent institution tasked with accrediting study programs (prodi) more specifically based on their field of study, for a particular study program or higher education institution as a whole. The “Excellent” rating indicates that the study program or university has met and even exceeded the national standards for higher education.

    This proud achievement was warmly welcomed by UNIKOM Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., and the entire UNIKOM academic community. Congratulations and appreciation were extended to Vice Rector I for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Hj. Umi Narimawati, Dra., S.E., M.S.Si., Vice Rector II for Resources, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Agus Riyanto, S.T., M.T., Vice Rector III for Research, Innovation, and Accreditation Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ir. Herman Soegoto., MBA., also expressed his gratitude and thanks, “Alhamdulillah, the Master of Information Systems, Computer Systems, Computer Engineering, and Information Management programs have been accredited as excellent. Congratulations to the Rector, Vice Rectors, Deans, especially the Dean of the Graduate School and the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science. Then all the Heads of Study Programs, as well as all lecturers and educational staff and the study program accreditation team who have compiled all the accreditation documents from the initial stage to the implementation stage, and we are sure that what has been achieved is the result of the teamwork of all study programs, all lecturers, and all educational staff,” said Assoc. Prof. Herman

    Furthermore, he also mentioned UNIKOM’s future targets in maintaining excellent accreditation: “Excellent accreditation is not the end, but rather the first step toward continuous improvement. Every recommendation from the assessors becomes a development target that must be achieved by each study program, including in the medium-term operational plan. UNIKOM targets the majority of study programs to achieve excellent accreditation and gradually move towards international accreditation based on outcome-based education. It is hoped that this achievement will give prospective students more confidence that UNIKOM is the right choice for a successful future,” he concluded. 

    The achievement of “Excellent” accreditation is clear evidence of UNIKOM’s commitment to providing high-quality education that is relevant to the times. This title shows that the four study programs have met and exceeded the national standards for higher education set by LAM INFOKOM.

    This success is expected to further increase public and prospective student confidence in the quality of education at UNIKOM, particularly in the MSI, SK, TK, and MI study programs. With “Excellent” accreditation, graduates from these study programs are expected to be more competitive in the workforce and able to make significant contributions to the nation and state.

    The “Excellent” accreditation achieved by UNIKOM is a major attraction in the New Student Admission (PMB) process, demonstrating a guarantee of reliable higher education quality for prospective students.     BANDUNG, UNIKOM – In an effort to increase student creativity and innovation, the Directorate of Student Affairs of Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) as the Chairperson of PKM UNIKOM held a socialization event entitled “Innovation Strategies to Pass Funding for Student Creativity Programs and Pimnas 2025”. The event, which took place on Thursday, March 13, 2025, was held online via Zoom and broadcast live on YouTube PKM UNIKOM.

    The Student Creativity Program (PKM) is an event developed to hone student creativity and innovation based on science, technology, and high faith. Through this socialization, UNIKOM seeks to equip students with strategies for preparing better quality PKM proposals, in order to increase the chances of qualifying for the 2025 National Student Scientific Week (PIMNAS).

    The event was opened with remarks from the UNIKOM Director of Student Affairs as well as the Chairperson of PKM UNIKOM, Mr. Andrias Darmayadi, S.IP., M.Si., Ph.D. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of early preparation, even though the PKM 2025 guidelines had not yet been officially released. “This socialization is the first step in increasing the number of proposals that pass funding and penetrate PIMNAS. We hope that with the strategies provided, UNIKOM can move up the cluster in PKM this year,” he said.

    Full support was also conveyed by the Vice Rector I for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Hj Umi Narimawaty, Dra., M.Si. She appreciated the role of accompanying lecturers in guiding students and invited all students to continue to hone their creativity. “Don’t give up easily. Continue to explore and develop creative ideas in order to produce extraordinary work,” she said.

    This socialization presented two experienced speakers. The first speaker, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Drs. Bandung Arry Sanjoyo, MI.Komp., from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), is a PKM Dikti Reviewer, PIMNAS Jury Team, and PKM Book Guidelines Compilation Team. In his presentation, he emphasized the importance of following the proposal writing guidelines carefully. “Small mistakes in the preparation of proposals can be the main reason for not passing funding. Therefore, students must really understand the applicable rules and present creative ideas that are competitive,” he explained.

    The second resource person, the Head of UNIKOM PKM Reviewer, Dr. Hj Supriyati, SE, M.Si, Ak, CA, ASEAN, CPA, C.PI, CIAP, provided insights related to UNIKOM Internal PKM Selection and PKM Simbelmawa. She invited students to adjust the type of PKM chosen with their respective fields of science and design relevant themes so that the chances of qualifying are greater.

    This activity not only provides technical insight into the strategy of preparing PKM proposals, but also builds a competitive spirit among UNIKOM students. With guidance from resource persons and accompanying lecturers, it is hoped that more UNIKOM students will be able to penetrate national funding and successfully compete in PIMNAS 2025.

    With the support of the UNIKOM Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., and the synergy between students and lecturers, PKM UNIKOM is optimistic to make more achievements in the upcoming PKM and PIMNAS events.

    INBISKOM UNIKOM Holds A Cadre To Create Innovative Young Entrepreneurs 

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM – To create a generation of innovative and competitive young entrepreneurs, the Directorate of Business Incubator and KUMKM UNIKOM (INBISKOM) held the UNIKOM Student Entrepreneur Cadre (P2MU) 2025 with the theme “Lahirkan Inovasi, Ciptakan Peluang”. This activity was held on February 25-26, 2025, at Villa Cattleya Cibodas, Lembang, Bandung, West Java.

    P2MU 2025 aims to form students who have an entrepreneurial spirit, high creativity, and readiness to face challenges in the business world. This activity is not just a theoretical briefing event but also instills the values of innovation and perseverance in creating business opportunities. The P2MU 2025 cadre was attended by around 56 participants from various scientific fields in Unikom and various business fields with great potential. 

    This activity was opened by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lilis Puspitawati, AK, CA, CRP, CSRS, the Director of INBISKOM. She emphasized that P2MU is a strategic forum for UNIKOM students to hone their entrepreneurial spirit, build creativity, and expand business networks. “In this challenging era, we are not only required to be job seekers but also job creators. Through P2MU, we are committed to producing young entrepreneurs who are resilient, innovative, and ready to compete at the global level,” said Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lilis. 

    She also expressed her appreciation to the committee, supervisors, and all parties who have supported the implementation of this event. She hopes that the entrepreneurial spirit instilled through P2MU can become a strong foundation for UNIKOM students in achieving success in the business world.

    P2MU 2025 presents various interesting and educational activities, such as: 1) Seminar and Workshop – Presenting speakers from among business practitioners and successful entrepreneurs who share experiences and strategies in developing businesses; 2) Networking Session – Provides opportunities for participants to meet and discuss with fellow students and business mentors; and 3) Direct Mentoring – Guidance sessions from experts in the field of entrepreneurship that help participants develop more mature business strategies.
    One of the big dreams of P2MU 2025 is to create new startups from students who can contribute to economic growth, both at the local and national levels. With the spirit of collaboration and innovation, students are encouraged to create businesses that are not only creative but also sustainable. P2MU 2025 proves that UNIKOM students have great potential in the entrepreneurship world.     UNIKOM Government Science Study Program Collaborates With Kapsipi And Adipsi To Improve The Quality Of Scientific Publications Of Unikom Lecturers 

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM – Training activities for writing scientific articles, research or PKM proposals, managing journals, and accelerating the Functional Position (Jabfung) of lecturers in 2025 were held at the Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) on Friday, February 21, 2025. This event is the result of cooperation between the Indonesian Government Science Study Program Union (KAPSIPI) and the All Indonesian Government Science Lecturer Association (ADIPSI), as well as the FISIP UNIKOM Government Science Study Program. This aims to increase the academic capacity of lecturers in scientific publications, journal management, and acceleration of functional positions.

    The event was officially opened with remarks from Assoc. Prof. Dr. Agus Riyanto, ST, MT, the Vice Rector II of UNIKOM. He expressed his appreciation to all participants who attended from various universities in Indonesia. The next speech was from Dr. M. Nur Alamsyah, S.IP., M.Si., as Chairman of ADIPSI, who emphasized the importance of collaboration between universities in improving the quality of research and scientific publications. Followed by another speech by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nia Karniawati, S.IP., M.Si., as the Chief Executive, and Budiman, S.IP., M.Si., the General Secretary of KAPSIPI.

    This event was attended by 45 participants from 24 KAPSIPI member universities, including Universitas Muhammadiyah Tangerang, Universitas Brawijaya, Universitas Lambung Mangkurat, Universitas Diponegoro, Universitas Mulawarman, Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang, and the other universities. The series of events included workshop sessions with competent resource persons, including: 1) Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hj Poni Sukaesih Kurniati, S.IP., M.Si., Director of Journal and Scientific Publication of UNIKOM. 2) Dr. Arief Zainudin, S.IP., M.I.P., expert in national and international journal governance, 3) Prof. Eko Priyo Purnomo, S.IP., M.Si., M.Res., Ph.D., who discussed the use of technology in scientific publications and strategies for accelerating the functional position of lecturers.

    This workshop included mentoring sessions on writing scientific articles, managing national and international journals, and strategies for writing research proposals and PKM. The participants received direct assistance and interactive discussion sessions, which are expected to help them improve the quality of their scientific works.

    Chief Executive, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nia Karniawati, S.IP., M.Si., in the closing session expressed her hope that this activity would provide real benefits for the participants in improving their academic quality and functional positions. “We hope that this activity can provide better insights and skills in scientific writing so that the publications and research of lecturers can be more qualified and have a broad impact,” she said.
    This activity was closed with appreciation to all speakers, organizers, and participants who had contributed to the success of the event.
