    BANDUNG, UNIKOM — The inauguration of the Executive Board of the Indonesian Private Higher Education Institutions Association (APTISI) of West Java Province for the 2025–2030 term, held on Wednesday, 11 February 2026 at the Bandung Convention Center, marked not only the formal establishment of the new leadership but also the signing of strategic Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) with the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia for West Java and PT Pos Indonesia Regional 3 Bandung.

    The MOU were signed directly by the Chair of APTISI West Java for the 2025–2030 term, who also serves as the Rector of Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM), Prof. 3 Prof. HC. Dr. Ir. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., with the Head of the Legal Services Division of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of West Java, Hemawati BR Pandia, A.Md., IP., S.H., M.M., and the Executive Vice President of PT Pos Indonesia Regional 3 Bandung, Ryan Sahariany Syam. The signing ceremony symbolized a shared commitment to building strategic collaboration among private higher education institutions, the government, and state-owned enterprises.

    The partnership with the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of West Java focuses on institutional legal assistance, enhancing legal literacy among the academic community, and strengthening intellectual property protection within private universities. Through this collaboration, private higher education institutions are expected to achieve greater administrative order, accountability, and competitiveness grounded in legal certainty.

    Meanwhile, the collaboration with PT Pos Indonesia Regional 3 Bandung is directed toward the development of logistics services and the distribution of academic documents, as well as support for the transformation of digital-based services. This synergy opens opportunities for the integration of campus service systems with PT Pos Indonesia’s national distribution network, thereby improving effectiveness, efficiency, and the service reach for students and institutional partners.

    The Chair of APTISI West Java and Rector of UNIKOM, Prof. Eddy, emphasized that this cooperation represents a concrete step in strengthening an adaptive and innovative private higher education ecosystem that is responsive to regulatory challenges and the acceleration of digital transformation. Cross-sector collaboration, he noted, is a key factor in advancing the quality of institutional governance and services.

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM — The Rector of the Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM), Prof. 3 Prof. Dr. Ir. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., was officially inaugurated as Chairman of the Association of Indonesian Private Universities (APTISI) for West Java Province for the 2025–2030 period on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at the Bandung Convention Center, Jl. Soekarno Hatta no 345 Bandung. The inauguration was a strategic moment in strengthening the leadership of private universities (PTS) in West Java towards an era of digital transformation and increased global competitiveness.

    In addition to the inauguration of the chairperson, 86 members of the APTISI West Java executive board were also inaugurated on the same occasion. The inauguration procession was led directly by the Chairman of APTISI Central, Dr. Ir. H. M. Budi Djatmiko, M.Si., M.E., where the management was the result of the APTISI West Java Regional Meeting held on December 18, 2025.

    On this occasion, the Chairman of APTISI Central, Dr. Ir. H. M. Budi, said that digital transformation is the main foundation for strengthening the quality of higher education. In addition, Dr. Budi also encouraged digital transformation to be the main foundation for strengthening the quality of higher education. “Whatever the study program and whatever the major, if you don’t learn about digital, you will definitely be left behind. So anyone who doesn’t understand Artificial Intelligence will also be left behind,” he said. Furthermore, he expressed his optimism that under Prof. Eddy leadership, APTISI West Java will become more progressive and competitive.

    In line with this, Prof. Eddy also targets that in the 2025-2030 period, APTISI West Java will be able to become the best at the national level. With measurable strategies, continuous innovation, and accelerated digital transformation in all private universities, Prof. Eddy is optimistic that this position can be achieved in the new leadership era. Furthermore, Prof. Eddy also outlined a number of concrete steps for the organization going forward, including holding regular monthly board meetings, both at the APTISI office and on a rotating basis at campuses. Various collaborative programs will also be implemented at each university to strengthen synergy, improve governance quality, and provide assistance to developing private universities.

    Through this inauguration, APTISI West Java reaffirmed its commitment as a strategic partner of the government in building adaptive, excellent, inclusive, and technology-based private higher education, while also promoting academic quality and institutional competitiveness at the regional and national levels.     Abstract:

    Poverty in Indonesia has become a critical issue as a result of social and economic disparities. The phenomenon is inextricably linked to education’s role as a gateway to poverty alleviation. One of the primary causes of entrepreneurial failure, which ultimately increases the risk of bankruptcy and poverty, is a lack of public knowledge about marketing. From the stated problem, the purpose of this research is to investigate how marketing education can aid in the reduction of poverty in the context of quality-of-life improvement. Because most previous research focused on unemployment and income levels as indicators of poverty, which did not explain the quality of life comprehensively, a review of the quality of life is required in this study. Additionally, Man Whitney analysis was used to compare the quality of life in the two groups of respondents using a quantitative method. Observations were also conducted for a period of six months to assess the respondents’ quality of life. WHOQOL-BREF was used as a research instrument and was distributed to Group 1 (30 respondents who had received marketing education) and Group 2 (30 respondents who had not received marketing education). Each respondent is from a different province in Indonesia. The findings indicate that marketing education can help reduce poverty, resulting in significant improvements in quality of life. Marketing knowledge leads to positive changes that have a significant impact on human well-being.     Abstract:

    The Indonesian government is trying to reduce the poverty rate, among others, by encouraging investment sourced from within the country and abroad and increasing the number of micro, small and medium-sized businesses. However, until the end of 2020, the category of poor people in Indonesia is still relatively high, about ten per cent of the total population of Indonesia. This research problem encouraged the authors to examine the role Domestic Investment (DI), Foreign Investment (FI) and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to reduce poverty in Indonesia. This is also because there has been no previous Indonesian research involving the four variables with data from 2010 to 2020. This study used quantitative methods to determine the impact of DI, FI and MSMEs on the magnitude of poverty. Data combining time series and cross-section data is analyzed using the least square panel method. The results of the study showed that poverty would decrease when there is an increase in domestic investment, an increase in foreign investment, and an increase in the number of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in Indonesia. © 2022, Institute of Eastern Europe and Central Asia.     Abstract:

    This study examines digital financial inclusion and uses Fintech for informal micro small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to overcome the financing gap. The researchers used primarily qualitative methods, namely a qualitative analysis strategy verification through inductive analysis. The results show that Indonesia’s fintech landscape makes MSME a driver of the digital economy so that they can overcome the financing gap in the informal sector. The challenges faced by Fintech in encouraging MSME business efficiency in the form of unbalanced agency distribution, data security, data access problems, low digital financial literacy, low connectivity, and interoperability can be overcome by taking advantage of existing opportunities. These opportunities include the role of MFIs and cooperatives in promoting financial inclusion and the development of telecommunications infrastructure networks in Indonesia. The novelty of this research is the comprehensive evaluation of achieved progress in digital financial inclusion for MSMEs in Indonesia and the developed recommendation for regulations by relevant authorities to encourage the business efficiency of MSMEs through facilitating digital financial inclusion. © 2023, Institute of Eastern Europe and Central Asia.     Abstract:

    This study aims to see the impact of the Russo-Ukrainian War on the European Union economy. It uses a qualitative descriptive method. This method answers research questions requiring an explanation and understanding of social activities due to the war. In this descriptive research, we evaluate aimed to evaluate the impact of the Russo-Ukrainian War on the European Union Economy. The results of this study indicate that the European Union’s economy was greatly affected by this war, starting from the disruption of trade relations between Russia and the European Union in all fields, especially in the energy sector, to the creation of high inflation rates in developing countries.     APTISI Officially Inaugurates the Chairman and Management of APTISI West Java for the 2025-2030 Period: Ready to Lead Digital Transformation and Strengthen the Competitiveness of Private Universities

    BANDUNG — The Indonesian Private Higher Education Association (APTISI) officially inaugurated the APTISI West Java Executive Board for the 2025–2030 term at the Bandung Convention Center (BCC), Soekarno Hatta Street No. 345, Bandung. The inauguration marked an important milestone in strengthening the strategic role of private universities in West Java as they respond to higher education challenges in the era of digital transformation and globalization.

    The event was attended by the Chair of APTISI Central Board, the Head of APTISI West Java Province, 86 members of the APTISI West Java Executive Board, and invited guests from various stakeholders. These included representatives of the West Java Provincial Government, the West Java Regional Office of the Ministry of Law, and PT Pos Indonesia Regional 3 West Java. The inauguration of the 2025–2030 board followed the APTISI West Java Regional Assembly held on December 18, 2025. Through a formatur mechanism, the new board structure was formed representatively, involving academics, university leaders, and key figures from various private higher education institutions in West Java, with the aim of strengthening a professional, collaborative, and quality-oriented organizational structure.

    In her remarks, Steering Committee Chair Prof. Dr. Hj. Umi Narimawati, Dra., S.E., M.Si., emphasized that the inauguration was not merely a formal ceremony, but a collective commitment to deliver concrete solutions for private universities in West Java. She expressed hope that the newly appointed board would enhance synergy, collaboration, and deliver broad benefits for the development and progress of private higher education institutions in the province.

    The inauguration of the Chair and Executive Board of APTISI West Java for the 2025–2030 period was led directly by the Chair of APTISI Central Board, Dr. Ir. H. M. Budi Djatmiko, M.Si., M.E., who formally confirmed the new leadership to carry out its mandate in strengthening the strategic role of private universities as pillars of Indonesia’s human resource development, particularly in West Java. In his address, Dr. Budi stressed the importance of active participation from all board members to work collectively and in unity. He also highlighted the urgency of digital transformation in education, including the utilization of Artificial Intelligence as a strategic instrument to accelerate digitalization. According to him, mastery of AI has become essential in the current era, as institutions and individuals who fail to adapt to technological developments risk being left behind in the global higher education landscape.

    Meanwhile, the Chair of APTISI West Java for the 2025–2030 term, who also serves as Rector of UNIKOM, Prof. Dr. Ir. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., expressed gratitude and appreciation to the Chair and board of APTISI Central, university leaders, the organizing committee, and all supporting parties and partners, especially PT Pos Indonesia Regional 3 West Java and the West Java Regional Office of the Ministry of Law for their support in organizing the inauguration and strengthening synergy through the signing of a memorandum of understanding.
    “To all newly appointed board members, I extend my congratulations on the mandate entrusted to you. This responsibility represents a collective commitment to lead APTISI West Java, which encompasses more than 350 private universities, to become more solid, progressive, and impactful, in the spirit of Moving Forward Together, Advancing Together, and Succeeding Together,” he stated.

    Prof. Eddy further noted that APTISI West Java has a clear target to become the best APTISI regional board in Indonesia from its current position. “We are optimistic about achieving first place through collective effort, measurable strategies, and consistent commitment to advancing private higher education in West Java. I hope the new board will further strengthen synergy among private universities, improve academic quality, and foster innovation and institutional competitiveness at both regional and national levels,” he concluded.

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM — Thursday, February 5, 2026, the Rector of the Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) received an audience visit from PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) Regional 3 West Java. The meeting was held in the Rector’s Office on the 15th floor of the UNIKOM Smart Building, serving both as a goodwill visit and a discussion on enhancing collaboration and strategic cooperation between the university and the State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN).

    Rector of UNIKOM, who is also the Chairperson of the Association of Indonesian Private Universities (APTISI) of West Java, Prof. HC. Dr. Ir. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., directly welcomed the delegation. He was accompanied by UNIKOM Vice Rector II for Human Resources, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Agus Riyanto, S.T., M.T., CSBA., and the Head of UNIKOM’s Cooperation Division, Dr. Henike Primawanti, M.I.Pol. The delegation from PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) Regional 3 West Java was led by Rian Syahariany Syam as Executive Vice President Regional 3 Bandung, Deputy EVP Regional 3 Bandung, Imam Fahrudi, and their team.

    In an interview opportunity, Rian conveyed that the visit had two main objectives: to strengthen the long-standing relationship and partnership between PT Pos Indonesia and UNIKOM. He emphasized that UNIKOM is one of PT Pos Indonesia’s strategic partners that has long utilized various services from the company.

    Furthermore, Rian explained that future collaboration is directed towards developing joint work programs, particularly in supporting education and students. Several discussed agendas include funding support for graduation ceremonies, contributions to the field of education, and opening entrepreneurial opportunities for students by utilizing PT Pos Indonesia as a laboratory and reference for future entrepreneurs. “Students are vital national assets. Through this collaboration, PT Pos Indonesia aims to be a platform for developing students’ entrepreneurial spirit while creating mutually beneficial and sustainable cooperation between PT Pos Indonesia and UNIKOM, as well as APTISI West Java,” he stated.

    In line with this, the Head of UNIKOM’s Cooperation Division, Dr. Henike Primawanti, welcomed PT Pos Indonesia’s visit. She affirmed that UNIKOM is very open to exploring cooperation, both nationally and internationally. “UNIKOM not only opens doors for international collaboration but also strongly encourages domestic cooperation, including between universities, government, State-Owned Enterprise (BUMNs), industries, and MSMEs. In the near future, we plan concrete collaborations with PT Pos Indonesia as a form of shared commitment,” she said.
