    Abstract

    The purpose of this study is to identify the development of renewable energy technologies in the world, especially Indonesia for the future. The method used in this study is a descriptive method, namely by presenting a complete picture of the situation associated with seeing the developments that have been applied. The result of this study is to find out the extent of developments in the clean energy and renewable energy sectors, as well as the importance of the environment and natural balance in aspects. This research was conducted by discussing the development of technology that is applied as a producer of clean energy that does not have a bad impact on the surrounding environment. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

    Abstract

    Nowadays, electricity has become a priority in daily life and can even be considered as a primary human need. On the other hand, the excessive use of electricity or energy and the increase in population is one of the factors that can increase energy requirements. In Indonesia, the use of electricity comes from very limited natural resources. Therefore, energy savings should be implemented, either by using as necessary or even making an update that can sustain existing electrical energy. Apart from saving energy, it would be better to create new energy with minimal effort. Like producing energy from daily human activities, one of it is walking. The result is the creation of Kinetic Paving material technology that when people step on it will produce electricity. The benefits of this technology can create electricity that can be used for the environment of this kinetic paving. As for lighting in paving as lighting art or as a source of energy for surrounding buildings. Kinetic Paving is applied in pedestrian traffic spaces. This energy is expected to help the community and the surrounding environment. This is an update that should have been implemented.     Abstract

    The process of converting analog files into digital files in the archiving process is a routine activity that needs to have appropriate procedures and is accompanied by a study of the profits and risks that accompany the process. The method of the research to solve this problem was by risk management approach refer to ISO/TR 18128 about risk assessment of recording data and ISO 22301 about Business Continuity Management (BCM). Through risk management, risk analysis review is conducted which determines the risk identification, risk assessment, risk evaluation, and strategies to enhance the ability to handle the digitization process. In other hands, business continuity management provides the potential benefit from the digitization process and guarantee of maintaining a reliable system. The companies to be observed are University, Government, and Financial Company (FC). The discussions are about the risk treatment with the strategy to reduce it and the comparison of maturity BCM from every companies. The result explains the readiest company in implementing analog to digital archiving process and the most company who has more mature in developing Business Continuity Management. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

    Abstract

    The research objective is to compare the seeding of forest plants using manual methods with the Internet of things-based seeding. The research method used a prototyping model. In this research, the application of the Internet of Things is supported by solar panels that are used as alternatives energy if at some time conventional energy has decreased power or disconnected. Thus, the use of tools connected to each other can continue to run without worrying about losing power. Some of the parameters measured in this seeding include room temperature, soil pH, and soil humidity. Sensor equipment used includes temperature sensors, Soil Moisture Sensor, and soil pH sensors. The temperature sensor is used as a trigger to turn on the blower that serves to remove heat from the room. Besides, the moisture sensor is used as a trigger to turn on the water pump used as an automatic sprinkler of crop seeds. Then, soil pH sensors are used to measure soil acidity levels that affect the growth of forest plant seeds. As for the seeding process is done using Mangium type plant seed or in Latin “Acacia Mangium”by using 400 seed samples. The results of this study showed that there was an increase in seed growing during seeding supported by the Internet of Things method of 24% compared to manual methods. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

    Abstract

    The purpose of this research is to create an enterprise architecture design smart city that has a high-security system in the tourism domain that includes smart experiences, smart destinations, and smart business ecosystems. The method used in this research was integrating ISO 27001 as an international information security standard on the TOGAF 9.1 ADM used as a framework for designing enterprise architecture. The result of design can improve Quality Assurance (QA) of the IT information security system, increase IT and business alignment and increase security awareness among government, tourists, industries, and the local community. Business Architecture focuses on centralized coordination by the board and evaluation of the performance of tourism stakeholders; Analysis results of data collection into information and useful on architecture or stakeholders; while application architecture has a focus on developing applications for tourists, business entities, and government monitoring; The technology architecture as the supports to the implementation of research with a data center, cloud service, and transaction interface that is given NFC technology. The result of this research is a smart city enterprise architecture design with a tourism domain that can be implemented in a smart city area and has a security system architecture after phase D of Requirements Management TOGAF 9.1 ADM with a higher security level. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

    Abstract

    The purpose of this research is to design a product to transform solar energy to electric energy that can be used to charge the battery of phones. Method used in this study is to design chargers that can be used anywhere is ulrich method. This method consists of some steps such as planning, developing a concept stage, planning system-level, detailed design, experiment, and improvement. The results are the charging process on a smartphone with a capacity of 1810 mAh battery is fully charged within 1 hour and 23 minutes. The output generated by the tool is 0.8 ampere and 5 volts. The price is below the maximum target specification that is worth 150,000. The conclusion of this research is the concept of designing universal smartphone case with solar powered chargers requires the stages of elimination and filtering to produce a solar smartphone case that is made of brecket also using a solar powered converter and power transport mode such as USB female port.     Abstract

    School of applied science is one of the faculty that Telkom University had. It focused on vocational education which leads to the implementation of practicum activities in daily lectures. The number of facilities and the needs to support the practicum is not small, also its value is not cheap. So to manage that data faculty use an information system that focused to organize and manage all data of laboratory and practicum needs, called SIMLAB. Information security is important so that the crucial information is not leaked to an unwilling party. It does not have the management of information security to prevent that possibility.     Abstract

    The objective of this research is to find out the benefit of the Green Building Concept application with VRF Air Conditioning System at Indonesian Computer University. The research method used is descriptive quantitative analysis. Based on research findings, the VRF air conditioning system in Indonesian Computer University could reduce electrical power usage and the monthly cost for electrical power. However, the payback can only be reached after 15 years of operation. The other benefits are the space efficiency for more flexible placement of the outdoor unit and did not decrease the building’s aesthetic appearance. © 2021 University of Kuwait.     Abstract

    The development of Internet of Things (IoT) technology in this all-digital era is increasingly advanced. The need in the form of automatic plant watering equipment in the community is starting to be needed given the increasingly sophisticated technology. Fulfillment of this increasing need must be accompanied by an increase in the productivity of chili cultivation. In this study, a monitoring system has been developed to observe the growth of chili plants integrated with the Internet of Things (IoT) with a power source from solar panels. In this system, a soil moisture sensor is added which functions as a sensor for detecting soil moisture, whose data will be used as a variable for the automatic watering system. Chili growth monitoring is carried out using a height sensor that is stored above the chili plant. Based on the test results, the results obtained for the growth of plants are very good and the soil moisture is below 60% which causes the water pump to turn on and then the data is sent to the Blynk application. And the voltage obtained from the solar cell is 12.95 volts. © 2021 IEEE.

    Abstract

    This study aims to examine the impact of technological adaptation that sources from company’s external and the implementation of green IT as company’s internal source in the achievement of competitive advantage. The study is conducted quantitatively through survey method to 49 company’s leaders who run in the renewable energy in Indonesia. The analysis study with regression analysis and it is conducted by using analysis tools of SmartPLS. To emphasize the results, it is tested research hypothesis. The research finding is known that technology which sources from company’s external have the correlation in achieving competitive advantage. Furthermore, the implementation of green IT plays more the important role in achieving business performance through competitive advantage. These findings are surely useful for the renewable energy industry in facing the competition, in which it is recommended to adapt always with the changes of technology and its implementations. © 2021 IEEE.
