    The 2026 New Student Admissions of UNIKOM Officially Open, Targeting 3,500 Students with a Digital and Inclusive System

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM – Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) has officially opened its Penerimaan Mahasiswa Baru (PMB), New Student Admissions, for the 2026 Academic Year with various strategic breakthroughs that affirm its position as a leading technology-based university. Unlike previous years, 2026 PMB has now opened earlier, starting on December 1, 2025, to accelerate services and improve the quality of the student selection process. 

    In an interview, Director of PMB of UNIKOM, Yudistira Soegoto, S.Kom., M.Kom., stated that UNIKOM is in an optimal state of readiness. The entire PMB process is supported by an integrated digital system that operates online, openly, fairly, and accountably. “For 2026, we are targeting to gain 3,000 to 3,500 new students. In terms of systems and services, UNIKOM is 100% ready, and PMB is already ongoing,” he said. 

    The earlier opening of PMB is a significant difference compared to previous years, which generally began in January or February. In addition to accelerating the timing, UNIKOM has also expanded access by providing various scholarships aimed at attracting potential students from diverse backgrounds. 

    Not only targeting new graduates in 2026, UNIKOM PMB is also open to graduates from previous years, including professionals who have worked but have not completed their undergraduate education, as well as bachelor’s degree graduates who wish to continue to master’s and doctoral levels. This approach reflects UNIKOM’s commitment to embracing all segments of society without age restrictions or graduation year gaps. 

    In terms of service innovation, UNIKOM continues to improve its registration system to make it more accessible and user-friendly, including for prospective students with disabilities. The PMB system is equipped with clear usage guidelines and support features for applicants with special needs. 

    The entire Ujian Saringan Masuk (USM), or Entrance Exam, process is conducted online, from registration and testing to the announcement of results. This flexibility allows prospective UNIKOM students from various regions, especially in West Java, throughout Indonesia, and even abroad, to participate in the selection process without having to come directly to the campus. 

    As a campus that has achieved excellent accreditation, UNIKOM continues to strengthen its academic competitiveness through a technology-based curriculum. One of UNIKOM’s main strengths is the implementation of compulsory cross-study program courses, including software, hardware, entrepreneurship, animation, and the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) courses that are being prepared for implementation at all levels of education at UNIKOM, from Diploma (D3) to Doctoral (S3) programs. 

    Yudistira also stated, “We see AI as an unavoidable future necessity. Therefore, UNIKOM is preparing students to face global challenges through mastery of cutting-edge technology.” 

    Through the 2026 PMB, UNIKOM hopes to attract the best students who are not only academically excellent but also capable of bringing honor to their alma mater at the national and international levels.     UNIKOM Industrial Engineering Study Program and HIMA Implement Various Socializations to Educate the Students 

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM – The Industrial Engineering Study Program together with the Industrial Engineering Student Association of the Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) on Thursday, January 2, 2025 held a socialization of the Student Creativity Program (PKM), the Student Organization Capacity Building Program (PPK Ormawa), and the Student Entrepreneurship Development Program (P2MW) with the theme “Socialization of PKM PPK ORMAWA P2MW”. The Chief Executive of this activity, Maretno Marcelina, carried out the activity at L.018 of the UNIKOM smart building.

    This activity aims to facilitate students to develop and realize creative and innovative ideas and strengthen the capacity of student organizations and student empowerment, namely: 1. Increasing Knowledge and Understanding, which aims to provide in-depth information about PKM, P2MW, and PPK Ormawa to students. 2. Encouraging Active Participation of UNIKOM Industrial Engineering Students: This activity is designed to encourage students to be more active in participating in these programs. 3. Building Organizational Skills and Capacity which aims to strengthen the capacity of student organizations by providing technical guidance and strategies in preparing proposals and managing projects.

    This activity was opened with a welcome speech by the Head of the Unikom Industrial Engineering Study Program, Dr. Henny S.T, M.T. In her speech, she said, “PKM is an opportunity for students to develop creative and innovative ideas that can be applied in society. Meanwhile, P2MW will equip students with entrepreneurial skills that are much needed in this era. Finally, PPK Ormawa aims to strengthen our student organizations to be more competitive and able to make positive contributions.” she said.

    Furthermore, She added, “I hope that through this socialization, all students can understand the importance of active participation in these programs. Let’s make the most of this opportunity to hone our skills and explore our potential. I also encourage every student organization to collaborate and support each other in preparing quality proposals. With the spirit of collaboration and innovation, I believe we can achieve extraordinary results.” She concluded.

    The event featured speakers Alam Santosa, S.T., M.T. for the PKM program, Ananda Tasya Bonita Siregar for the PPK Ormawa program, and Rizal Ardian Muslim for the P2MW program. The speakers provided in-depth explanations of the program’s mechanisms, how to prepare proposals, and how to manage projects effectively. 

    This outreach activity is a positive step to encourage UNIKOM Industrial Engineering students to be more active and creative in developing themselves and making positive contributions to society. This activity is also expected to strengthen collaboration between students and student organizations and increase the number of students achieving success in these programs.     Welcoming 2026, KPM of UNIKOM participates in Mentoring and evaluation to Strengthen Professionalism

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM – Entering the beginning of 2026, with a high spirit of professionalism, the Protocol Division of the Directorate of Public Relations and Protocol of Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) held a coaching and evaluation meeting for Korps Protokoler Mahasiswa (KPM), the Student Protocol Corps, UNIKOM. The activity was held on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, aiming to strengthen service standards, improving discipline, and optimizing organizational performance in supporting various formal events on campus.

    Held in room L.030, Smart Building UNIKOM, the meeting was a crucial moment for all members to reflect deeply on their performance in the previous period, as well as to formulate strategic steps in facing increasingly dynamic protocol challenges in the future.

    The meeting was attended by the active board members of Ambarrukmo Cabinet and new members, Sarvajaya Cabinet. The presence of all members was part of the process of introducing the organizational culture and initial briefing (onboarding) on ethics, etiquette, ceremonial procedures, and respect before directly participating in official university duties.

    During an interview, the Head of the Protocol Division of UNIKOM, Agung Nugraha, S.I.Kom., emphasized the importance of synergy and improving the quality of each protocol personnel. “Through these training and evaluation activities, I hope that the Student Protocol Corps can continue to improve its professionalism, discipline, and comprehensive understanding of the duties and functions of protocol. The momentum of welcoming the New Year 2026 is the right time to strengthen our shared commitment to providing the best service for every official activity at UNIKOM. As a follow-up step, going forward, we will routinely hold Coordination Meetings once a month to ensure that the synergy and performance quality of members are consistently maintained,” said Agung.

    Meanwhile, the Leader of the KPM for the 2024-2025 period, Muhamad Pradipta Waskitha, expressed his deep appreciation to all administrators and members for their dedication during the last period. “I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all my colleagues who have contributed extraordinarily and with full dedication, making KPM under the Ambarrukmo Cabinet even more solid and showing performance that is increasingly promising. Through this evaluation, I hope that all achievements and shortcomings can serve as important notes and stepping stones to improve the quality and professionalism of our protocol in the future,” he concluded.

    During the evaluation session, the effectiveness of communication between members and the mastery of information technology in supporting modern protocol workflows were also discussed. This evaluation refers to the success of a number of major programs in the previous period that were carried out solemnly, including the welcoming of various delegations at the regional, national, and international levels, which always received high appreciation. This success is expected to motivate new members to maintain the professional standards of UNIKOM protocol as a technology-based campus.

    Through this guidance, it is expected that the Student Protocol Corps will become more solid, responsive, and professional. Additionally, KPM UNIKOM is increasingly prepared to contribute optimally to the success of ceremonial events for various academic activities at the university, national, and international levels, which have been scheduled in the 2026 academic calendar.     BANDUNG, UNIKOM — In strengthening its international academic network, the Government Science Study Program (IP) of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Komputer Indonesia held a guest lecture on the theme, “The Role of Social Work within Australia’s Local Government” on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at Room 9.025 on the 9th floor of the UNIKOM Smart Building. The event was attended by third-semester Government Science students and featured an international speaker, Professor of Social Work at the Ikon Institute of Australia–Sydney, NSW, Prof. Debbie Plath.

    Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hj. Dewi Kurniasih, S.IP., M.Si., Dean of FISIP UNIKOM, emphasized the importance of improving the quality of global-based learning to produce graduates who are able to understand the dynamics of government at an international level. Through this lecture, students were given first-hand learning experiences related to how the government system handles aspects of social work in local government administration in Australia.

    The Head of the Government Science Study Program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nia Karniawati, S.IP., M.Si., said, “This activity is an implementation of UNIKOM’s commitment as a World Class University (WCU). The Government Science Study Program held a guest lecture with Professor of Social Work at the Ikon Institute of Australia–Sydney, NSW, Prof. Debbie Plath. Through the presentation of material discussing Social Work in Australia, we hope that students will gain a direct picture of social workers in Australia and be motivated to engage in social work as a real contribution to society,” she said.

    In her presentation, Prof. Debbie Plath conveyed that social work is a strategic profession that plays a role in creating social change, strengthening social cohesion, and improving the welfare of individuals and communities. She explained that social workers in Australia are involved in various public issues such as mental health, poverty, family, disaster crises, drug abuse, and homelessness. This explanation provided a comprehensive understanding of the close relationship between social workers and local government administration in Australian. The activity continued with an interactive discussion session moderated by Rino Adibowo, S.IP., M.I.POL., a lecturer at the Government Science Study Program. 

    The discussion session provided a forum for students to explore the professional experiences of social workers in various Australian government institutions. This activity demonstrates that the Government Science Study Program continues to deepen the internationalization of learning and provide academic experiences relevant to modern social challenges. This guest lecture is expected to be a sustainable step in strengthening students’ competencies and insight, while also building international academic collaboration between UNIKOM and global educational institutions.     BANDUNG, UNIKOM — Friday, November 14, 2025, the Student Protocol Corps (KPM) of the Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) is once again opening opportunities for students to join the KPM UNIKOM Batch 10, through the Open Recruitment of the Student Protocol Corps (KPM) Batch 10 Year 2025.

    As a leading student activity unit, KPM plays a strategic role in supporting the continuity of various campus events, both at the regional, national, and international levels. Therefore, the selection system is designed comprehensively, covering the assessment of communication skills, personality, professional attitude, and talents relevant to the world of protocol. Held at the Miracle Auditorium on the 4th floor of UNIKOM Campus I, the recruitment process is an important moment because it is only held once every two years, so each stage of the selection is designed to be strict in order to select the best candidates.

    The Director of Public Relations and Protocol at UNIKOM, Dr. Ir. Yuni Mogot, M.Si., CPR., said in her speech that the UNIKOM KPM Open Recruitment was held to recruit the best UNIKOM students to support the smooth running and success of various campus activities. “One of the absolute requirements that must be met by prospective KPM UNIKOM members is a minimum GPA of 3. I hope that through this open recruitment, KPM UNIKOM will obtain the best talents. Because the process is held only once every two years, those selected will certainly be the best students with excellent qualities in various fields. Not only academically and technically competent, but all KPM UNIKOM members must also possess integrity, ethics, and good adaptability. After the selection of new members, we will conduct training and development tailored to each member’s interests and talents, applying UNIKOM’s “PIQIE” culture, which emphasizes the motto “Quality is our tradition,” she concluded.

    The selection process began with an administrative test, followed by a written test and an interview at the Library on the 8th floor of the UNIKOM Smart Building, then continued with an aptitude test at the Miracle Auditorium on the 4th floor of UNIKOM Campus I. During the interview session, the Jury assessed the candidates from various aspects of knowledge, skills, and attitudes that are necessary or considered important for every UNIKOM KPM member to have, including communication skills, confidence, ethics, and the participants readiness to carry out protocol tasks. Meanwhile, during the talent test session, the committee provided a space for participants to demonstrate special abilities such as public speaking, master of ceremony, vocals, or other skills that support protocol duties, to be assessed by the Jury.

    The Head of the UNIKOM Protocol Division and KPM Advisor, Agung Nugraha, S.I.Kom., said that 70 students from various study programs at UNIKOM registered for this year’s Open Recruitment. After going through the administrative selection stage, 55 students had the opportunity to take a series of tests, ranging from written tests, interviews, to talent tests, with a total of 43 participants accepted. This activity is important to determine the best potential of each prospective member who registered.

    Meanwhile, the Chairman of KPM UNIKOM for the 2024-2025 period (Ambarukmo Cabinet), M. Pradipta Waskitha, said that all selection stages had been carried out, starting from interviews, written tests, to aptitude tests as the final stage to determine the classification of prospective members who will join KPM UNIKOM. He hopes that the selected members will truly have the commitment and dedication to contribute to the organization.

    KPM UNIKOM is known as the frontline in managing various official UNIKOM events. After being selected, the members will undergo intensive training so that they can carry out their protocol duties professionally. Through the implementation of Open Recruitment Batch 10, UNIKOM is committed to forming a young generation of protocol officers who are ready to strengthen the campus’s image in various official activities in the future.     BANDUNG, UNIKOM – The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UNIKOM demonstrates its commitment to building an educational ecosystem relevant to the development of smart technology. As a strategic step towards implementing the “AI for Business” curriculum sandboxing for the Odd Semester of the 2025/2026 Academic Year, FEB UNIKOM held an AI Application Coaching event entitled “Artificial Intelligence for Business” on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at the Smart Class, Smart Building Lobby, UNIKOM.

    The event featured a guest speaker, the Head of the UNIKOM Doctoral Program in Information Systems, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Agus Nursikuwagus, S.T., M.T., M.M., who is also an expert in the fields of computer vision, machine learning, and data mining and an active researcher and reviewer for international journals. During the presentation session, he comprehensively discussed the development of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data mining, and their applications in the management and finance sectors.

    The event was also attended by the heads of study programs at FEB UNIKOM, including the Head of the Bachelor of Accounting Study Program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sridewi Anggadini, S.E., M.Si., Ak., CA., the Head of the Bachelor of Management Study Program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Raeni Dwi Santy, S.E., M.SI, CIMA., Head of the Accounting Diploma Program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wati Aris Astuti, S.E., M.Si,. Ak., CA., Head of the Banking Finance Diploma Program and Marketing Management Diploma Program, Dr. Rizky Zulfikar, S.E., M.Si., and Director of Academic Development and Learning Data Sources (PASDP), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Isniar Budiarti, S.E., M.Si., as well as the UNIKOM FEB AI Curriculum Sandbox Team, which is currently designing the integration of AI-based adaptive curricula at all levels of study.

    The Dean of FEB UNIKOM, Prof. Dr. Siti Kurnia Rahayu, SE., M.Ak., Ak., CA., CFA., was also present and provided direct guidance, emphasizing the importance of smart technology-based learning transformation. Furthermore, Prof. Rahayu highlighted that the success of educational innovation can only be achieved through cross-program synergy and the courage to present a curriculum that is adaptive to technological developments.

    The presence of the program chairs and the sandbox design team reflects FEB UNIKOM’s spirit of collaboration and seriousness in preparing a new direction for strategic and competitive digital learning. Through this coaching, FEB UNIKOM emphasized that artificial intelligence will not only be taught as a course, but also used as a strategic approach to produce graduates who are ready to compete in the era of Industry 5.0 and the digital economy. Furthermore, this activity also opens up opportunities for research collaboration and community service relevant to the use of smart technology in the economic and business sectors.     In Realizing Wcu, The Directorate Of International Programs Of Unikom Implements The 2025 Student Exchange Program at Inti International University, Malaysia

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM – In an effort to strengthen the internationalization of education and the development of students’ global competencies, the Directorate of International Programs at the Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) is implementing a Period Exchange Student Program to Malaysia. A total of 20 UNIKOM students from various study programs and two program chairs participated in activities at INTI International University, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, which lasted for two weeks, from October 5 to 19, 2025.

    The Period Exchange Student Program to Malaysia was led directly by Dr. Senny Luckyardi, S.P., M.M., as Director of International Programs and Executive Chair, accompanied by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Raeny Dwi Santy, S.E., M.M., (Head of the Management Program) and Dr. Tatan Tawami, S.S., M.Hum., (Head of the English Literature Program).

    During an interview, Dr. Senny explained that the student exchange program not only focuses on academic aspects but also serves as a platform for cross-cultural learning and character development for students. “The benefits are extraordinary, as students not only gain knowledge and academic experience but also build networks, understand new cultures, and familiarize themselves with educational systems abroad,” she stated.

    Furthermore, Dr. Senny advised all participants to always maintain the good name of UNIKOM and take advantage of every opportunity obtained during the program. “Come home with benefits, not empty hands. Because this is where the journey to a better life begins. In the future, UNIKOM is also preparing a Winter Camp program to Uzbekistan, as well as exchange plans to Thailand, Vietnam, and Korea,” she concluded.

    Meanwhile, after the student exchange program in Malaysia ended, Dr. Tatan explained that Malaysia and INTI International University were chosen because of their active cooperation and shared vision in achieving the Education Collaboration Unit (ECU), which enables exploration of cooperation in various fields. He also said that the students who participated in this program showed great enthusiasm and made their own preparations before departure. “Our students are very open and enthusiastic. They prepared themselves well, including learning about the local culture and understanding the importance of cross-cultural tolerance. The focus of the activities there was on developing critical thinking skills, cross-cultural communication, and expanding international networks,” he said.

    Dr. Tatan also added that the main challenges faced by students are usually related to language differences, weather, and adaptation to new learning systems. However, thanks to UNIKOM students’ exposure to various international activities, they are able to adapt quickly and confidently.

    Meanwhile, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Raeny highlighted the preparation and academic benefits of this activity. Before departure, students attended a briefing, cultural orientation, and a motivational session led by Dr. Senny. In addition, students were also equipped with an understanding of academic ethics, environmental adaptation, and mental preparedness for living in another country. “While at INTI, students not only attended international classes but also interacted with lecturers and students from various countries. This enriched their knowledge of cross-cultural communication, soft skills development, and global mindset,” she explained.

    She added that the greatest benefit of this program was the development of students with a global perspective, open-mindedness, and high adaptability in facing the dynamics of the international workforce.  “We hope this program can become an annual routine activity, even developing into a more sustainable program such as mobility credit or double degree. UNIKOM is committed to continuing to expand global academic cooperation so that students have more opportunities to learn and network at the international level,” she concluded.

    Through the 2025 Period Exchange Student Program, UNIKOM once again demonstrates its commitment to producing graduates who are not only academically excellent but also possess global competencies, adaptive character, cross-cultural awareness, and the essential values needed to compete in today’s global era.     BANDUNG, UNIKOM – In order to strengthen the management and quality of scientific publications on campus, the Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) held an “OJS Coaching and Journal Accreditation-Reaccreditation Assistance” event on Monday, October 13, 2025, at Room 10.010, 10th Floor, UNIKOM Smart Building.

    The event was led by the Director of Journals and Scientific Publications at UNIKOM, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Poni Sukaesih K, S.IP., M.Si., and attended by journal managers from various faculties and study programs within UNIKOM. This agenda is part of the university’s ongoing efforts to build a credible, competitive, and nationally and internationally reputable scientific publication ecosystem.

    In her opening remarks, Dr. Poni Sukaesih explained the importance of a shared commitment to maintaining the sustainability and improving the quality of scientific journals. “This activity aims to enable journals within UNIKOM to maintain or even improve their accreditation rankings. To that end, we need to continuously improve the substance of articles, writing style, consistency, and the OJS (Open Journal System)-based journal management system,” she stated.

    Dr. Poni added her hope that journal managers at UNIKOM would continue to improve the quality of their journal management, both in terms of journal management and article substance, in order to support the achievement of a higher SINTA (Science and Technology Index) accreditation rating.

    The coaching session also featured two speakers, Arjuna Rizaldi, S.E., M.A., who explained in detail the mechanism of journal accreditation assessment through the ARJUNA (National Journal Accreditation) system. He explained that the final accreditation rating of a journal is determined based on the total score accumulation from two main aspects, namely journal management and article substance. Meanwhile, the second speaker, Head of the World Class International (WCU) Division at UNIKOM, Donny Reza, S.Kom., M.Kom., provided direct technical assistance to journal managers, particularly in filling in the substance data and completing the accreditation documents in the ARJUNA system. This assistance was aimed primarily at journals that are preparing for re-accreditation, whose accreditation period is about to expire.

    Through these individual assistance sessions, journal managers gained practical understanding and guidance on strategies for improving manuscript quality, publication regularity, and strengthening editorial management.

    Dr. Poni added her hope that journal managers at UNIKOM would continue to improve the quality of their journal management, both in terms of journal management and article substance, in order to support the achievement of a higher SINTA (Science and Technology Index) accreditation rating.

    The coaching and mentoring activities provided a collaborative forum for journal managers to share experiences, discuss journal management challenges, and develop concrete steps towards improving publication quality.
