    Supporting the Transformation of Digital Tax Administration UNIKOM Tax Center Holds Socialization on Filling out Coretax Tax Returns

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM – Support for tax management in an institution is reflected through efforts to increase tax literacy, technical assistance, and the use of a digital-based tax administration system. On Tuesday, February 24, 2026, the Indonesian Computer University (UNIKOM) through the UNIKOM Tax Center, in collaboration with the UNIKOM Finance Directorate, held an Information Session and Assistance on Filling Out Annual Personal Income Tax Returns (SPT PPh OP) through the Coretax system for the UNIKOM academic community. The activity was conducted online via Zoom and was attended by lecturers and educational staff at UNIKOM.

    This program is part of the UNIKOM Tax Center’s efforts to improve tax literacy and compliance in higher education institutions, while also supporting a sustainable tax education program in collaboration with the West Java I Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP). On this occasion, participants gained an understanding of the preparation of annual tax returns and hands-on practice in filling out personal tax returns through the Coretax system, which is the latest digital platform in tax administration.

    Vice Rector II for Resources, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Agus Riyanto, S.T., M.T., CSBA., in his speech said that digital transformation in the tax administration system through Coretax is an important step taken by the government to create a more transparent, integrated, and efficient tax reporting system. “As a technology-based university, UNIKOM strongly supports the implementation of this system, so that this socialization activity becomes an important means for the academic community to understand the process of filling out Annual Personal Tax Returns correctly and in accordance with regulations,” he said.

    Furthermore, Dr. Agus hoped that through this activity, lecturers and staff could adapt to the Coretax system, ensure the accuracy of data in tax reporting, and increase awareness and compliance in fulfilling tax obligations as a form of real contribution to national development.

    Meanwhile, Deputy Chair of the UNIKOM Tax Center Prof. Dr. Siti Kurnia Rahayu, S.E., M.Ak., Ak., CA., who in her capacity represented the Chair of the Tax Center as well as Deputy Rector I for Academic and Student Affairs at UNIKOM, Prof. Dr. Hj. Umi Narimawati, Dra., S.E., M.Si., in her speech said that the socialization and assistance in filling out the Annual Personal Tax Return through the Coretax system is part of the UNIKOM Tax Center’s commitment to strengthening its role as a tax education center that consistently provides literacy and assistance to the academic community. This activity is also a collaboration between the Tax Center and the UNIKOM Finance Directorate under the coordination of the Vice Rector II, with the aim of helping lecturers and staff understand the tax reporting process more easily, accurately, and on time.

    In addition, Prof. Siti Kurnia also emphasized that basically many taxpayers have good intentions to comply, but often face technical obstacles in preparing documents and filling out tax returns, so that through this socialization accompanied by hands-on practice, it is hoped that it can increase understanding, fiscal literacy, and build a culture of sustainable tax compliance within UNIKOM.

    The series of activities continued with the presentation of the main material delivered by speakers from the Directorate General of Taxes, namely Senior Tax Advisor Rony Zakaria and Senior Tax Advisor Siska Maharani. In their presentation, the two speakers explained how to prepare and fill out the Annual Personal Tax Return and provided hands-on practice in filling out the tax return using the Coretax system, so that participants could understand the reporting stages in a more practical and applicable manner. The discussion session was interactive through a question and answer session, moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ely Suhayati, S.E., M.Si., Ak., CA., who also serves as Treasurer of the UNIKOM Tax Center. On this occasion, participants had the opportunity to consult directly regarding obstacles or problems that often arise in the tax reporting process.

    Through this tax socialization activity, UNIKOM reaffirmed its commitment to supporting increased understanding of taxation among academics and educational staff, while strengthening the role of the Tax Center as a center for taxation education and assistance. It is hoped that this activity will assist all UNIKOM academic staff in fulfilling their annual tax return reporting obligations in a timely, accurate, and compliant manner with the evolving digital-based tax administration system.     Snaily Labs Team from UNIKOM Advances to the Semifinals of the 2026 Microsoft Imagine Cup Global Competition, Presenting an AI-Based Digital Security Solution for Children

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM – Students from the Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) have once again achieved a proud accomplishment. The Snailly Labs team from the Codelabs Division has been officially selected as a semifinalist in the Microsoft Imagine Cup 2026 global technology innovation competition organized by Microsoft. This prestigious competition brings together the best student teams from various countries who present solutions based on artificial intelligence (AI) to address global challenges.

    This year’s Imagine Cup features two competition tracks: “Launch Path” and “Scale Path,” designed to support startups and students according to their development stage. A total of 22 teams were selected as semifinalists for Imagine Cup 2026, consisting of 13 Scale Path teams, 9 Launch Path teams, and the Snailly Labs UNIKOM team was selected as one of the Launch Path semifinalists. In the next stage, all semifinalist teams will receive intensive mentoring, technical guidance, and direct access to industry experts and global venture professionals. The jury will then select the best teams to advance to the World Championship and compete on the international stage. In this semifinal stage, the pitching session is scheduled for April 7, 2026, while the announcement of the teams advancing to the next stage is planned for late spring to early summer 2026.

    Snailly Labs, a team from the UNIKOM Codelabs Division, presented an innovative adaptive content filtering solution that allows parents and educational institutions to determine digital content safety standards relevant to the development of children aged 5 to 14 years. Unlike conventional parental control systems, the developed solution prioritizes a contextual, transparent, and customizable AI-based approach tailored to the needs of each family and educational institution. With an inclusive design, multilingual support, and a human-in-the-loop approach, this platform allows parents and educational institutions to define digital content safety standards in a more relevant and participatory manner.

    The Snailly Labs UNIKOM team consists of students from various study programs at UNIKOM, namely Ariq Hikari Hidayat from the Informatics Engineering study program, Muhammad Favian Jiwani from the Informatics Engineering study program, Raditya Aryabudhi Ramadhan from the Informatics Engineering study program, and Regia Qolbu Rivita Atmowidjaja from the Information Systems study program, who collaborated in developing this technological innovation.

    Successfully reaching the semifinal stage is proof of UNIKOM students’ capacity to integrate research, technological innovation, and social awareness into one sustainable solution. This event not only provides global recognition but also opens access to a world-class technology ecosystem, including support from AI leaders, startup operators, and venture professionals. In addition, the team has the opportunity to refine their product for the market and prepare for the next stage of the competition.

    The Head of the Codelabs Division, Dian Dharmayanti, S.T., M.Kom., expressed her hope that the Snailly Labs team can optimize access to modern infrastructure and expert guidance so that this platform can truly become a new standard for inclusive digital content security. “Hopefully, this international experience will inspire the team to not only stop at the competition, but to continue transforming this research innovation into a real solution that protects children around the world in a sustainable manner,” she concluded. Through this achievement, UNIKOM once again reaffirms its commitment to nurturing young innovators who are not only technically proficient but also capable of delivering real solutions for the global community.     BANDUNG, UNIKOM – On Thursday, March 5, 2026, Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) hosted Rapat Kerja (RAKER), a Working Meeting forum with the agenda of Aligning Perceptions of Private Higher Education Issues and Joint Solutions with APTISI West Java and Assessors. Held at the 17th-floor Auditorium of the UNIKOM Smart Building, the event was attended by over 200 professors from West Java and Banten. 

    Also conducted at the event was the reading of the Decree and the inauguration of the 2026-2028 Professors Association Management as well as a strategic forum to strengthen the synergy between universities within Lembaga Layanan Pendidikan Tinggi (LLDIKTI), the Higher Education Service Institution Region IV and professors in improving the quality of higher education in West Java and Banten.

    The Rector of UNIKOM and Chairman of APTISI West Java, Prof. 3 Prof. HC. Dr. Ir. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., in his speech expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the trust given to UNIKOM as the host of this strategic event. Prof. Eddy said that this event was an important moment to strengthen collaboration between universities and reinforce the role of professors in the development of higher education. “The presence of professors and higher education stakeholders is an honor and motivation for UNIKOM to continue contributing to academic development and improving the quality of higher education,” said Prof. Eddy.

    Furthermore, Prof. Eddy expressed his support for various strategic programs initiated by LLDIKTI Region IV, particularly in encouraging an increase in the number of professors in higher education institutions. “Under the leadership of the Head of LLDIKTI Region IV, Dr. Lukman, S.T., M.Hum., various strategic programs continue to be implemented to strengthen the quality of higher education institutions. We see very good progress, including an increase in the number of professors at various universities. This is certainly an achievement that we should all appreciate,” he added.

    On this occasion, the Decree was read and the Professors Association Board was inaugurated, led by the Chair of the Professors Association, Prof. Dr. Edi Setiadi, S.H., M.H. This momentum is a strategic step in strengthening the role of professors as drivers of scientific development, improving academic quality, and making a real contribution to the advancement of higher education.

    The Chair of the Association of Professors, Prof. Dr. Edi, expressed his gratitude to the Head of LLDIKTI Region IV, Dr. Lukman, for his support and guidance, as well as to the Rector of UNIKOM, Prof. Eddy, for providing excellent facilities so that this event could run smoothly. This is a form of synergy that is very beneficial for the development of higher education. He also invited all professors to continue collaborating and working together in building a strong academic culture, as well as actively contributing to the development of science and the improvement of higher education quality.

    Meanwhile, the Head of LLDIKTI Region IV, Dr. Lukman, S.T., M.Hum., expressed his appreciation to UNIKOM for facilitating the event. Furthermore, Dr. Lukman said, “We really hope for the support and contribution of ideas from professors. You are academic figures who have experience, scientific knowledge, and the capacity to help provide solutions to various problems faced by universities, especially in academic development and improving the quality of lecturers,” he explained.

    Dr. Lukman also delivered a presentation on the importance of accelerating the academic career advancement of lecturers, particularly at the level of Senior Lecturer and Professor. He stated that UNIKOM is an example of an institution that continues to demonstrate its commitment to increasing the number of professors. Currently, UNIKOM has 11 professors, which is clear evidence of the institution’s efforts to strengthen the quality of academic resources and scientific development in higher education.

    The activity continued with a panel discussion on the theme “Strategies for Accelerating the Career Advancement of Senior Lecturers and Professors.” The discussion featured the Head of LLDIKTI Region IV along with the management of the Professor Association as speakers, including the Vice Rector I for Academic and Student Affairs at UNIKOM, Prof. Dr. Hj. Umi Narimawati, Dra., S.E., M.Si., who also serves as the General Secretary for the 2026-2028 term in the Association of Professors for the 2026-2028 term. The discussion forum served as a constructive dialogue space to discuss various challenges faced by lecturers in the academic promotion process, while also formulating joint strategies and solutions.

    The panel discussion concluded with a plenary session on action plans, which produced a number of strategic recommendations to accelerate faculty career advancement in private higher education institutions. The event concluded with iftar togther that further strengthened the unity and synergy between UNIKOM, LLDIKTI Region IV, the Association of Professors, and higher education stakeholders in West Java.

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM – On Thursday, March 5, 2026, Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) received an official visit from Universitas Swadaya Gunung Jati (UGJ) Cirebon to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and conduct benchmarking activities related to digital campus management. Held in the Grand Meeting Room on the 15th floor of the UNIKOM Smart Building, this event served as a strategic moment for both universities to strengthen their synergy in the development of technology-based higher education and digital transformation.

    The event was attended by senior officials from both institutions. From UNIKOM, the attendees included Prof. 3 Prof. HC. Dr. Ir. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T. (UNIKOM Rector), Prof. Dr. Hj. Umi Narimawati, Dra., S.E., M.Si. (Vice Rector I for Academic and Student Affairs), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Agus Riyanto, S.T., M.T., CSBA. (Vice Rector II for Resources), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ir. Herman S.     This collabortion is motivated by the complementary strategic relationship between the two institutions. UGJ is seen as a strategic partner for UNIKOM in supporting the initiation of a new faculty currently being planned by UNIKOM. On the other hand, UNIKOM is also a strategic partner for UGJ in strengthening the fields of digital technology and information technology, particularly in the development of digital campus management systems, technological infrastructure, and IT-based innovations in the higher education environment.

    The Rector of UNIKOM and Chairman of APTISI West Java, Prof. 3 Prof. HC. Dr. Ir. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., said in his speech that the meeting was a concrete step in building synergy between the two institutions. “This collaboration is part of the collaborative spirit that has been built through the APTISI West Java, so that the implementation of the collaboration is not only limited to the two institutions, but can also be expanded to various other universities in West Java and other provinces,” he said.

    Furthermore, Prof. Eddy said that UNIKOM, as a university with strengths in the digital and ICT fields, was asked by UGJ to share its experience and knowledge, especially since UGJ is currently developing new study program in the field of informatics that require references and reinforcement from UNIKOM. Therefore, this collaboration is considered an appropriate step to complement the strengths of each institution.

    Meanwhile, the Rector of UGJ, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Achmad Faqih, S.P., M.M., IPU., CIRR., in his speech said that this collaboration has strategic value in strengthening collaboration between the two universities. Prof. Achmad also explained that in the past year, UGJ has developed around ten new study programs, most of which are based on information technology. Therefore, UGJ considers it important to establish cooperation with UNIKOM to obtain support in preparing competent human resources and strengthening facilities and infrastructure as the foundation for developing these study programs. “We hope that this collaboration can benefit both institutions and become a joint step in preparing an excellent generation towards the vision of Indonesia Emas 2045,” he concluded.

    The synergy between the two universities reflects the commitment of both institutions to support each other in human resource development, knowledge exchange, and strengthening academic and institutional capacity. Through this collaboration, UNIKOM and UGJ are expected to jointly promote the improvement of higher education quality through the integration of excellence in the fields of educational innovation, digital technology, and health.

    The activity continued with the signing of an MoU between UNIKOM and UGJ as a joint commitment to developing various collaborative programs focused on implementing the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi (Three Pillars of Higher Education), improving human resource competencies, and strengthening digital technology-based academic services. The scope of this collaboration includes educational activities, research, and community service, strengthening digital and hybrid learning, research assistance and implementation of the MBKM program, as well as the development of various academic programs that support the achievement of the Main Performance Indicators of higher education institutions.

    After the signing of the MoU, the activity continued with a benchmarking session that specifically discussed the practices of information technology governance and digital transformation implemented at UNIKOM. This discussion covered information technology policy management, network infrastructure management, cyber security, data center management, and the use of cloud systems to support digital campus operations.

    Through this benchmarking activity, the two universities were able to exchange experiences, practices, and strategies for developing campus information systems that are adaptive to technological developments. The results of this activity are expected to open up opportunities for further cooperation in the development of educational technology systems, human resource capacity building, digital collaboration, and innovation that will have an impact in the future.     UNIKOM Officially Launches “UNIKOM X Google Learning Center” the First University AI Lab Innovation Center in Indonesia

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM – On Wednesday, March 4, 2026, Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) officially inaugurated an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Laboratory resulting from a strategic collaboration with Google AI. The UNIKOM X Google Learning Center Artificial Intelligence Laboratory affirms UNIKOM’s position as the first university in Indonesia to establish an AI learning center integrated with Google’s technology ecosystem. This collaboration was initiated by the Directorate of IT Infrastructure & Network (INFRANET) at UNIKOM, which began the development and construction process of the AI Laboratory in August 2025, culminating in its official inauguration on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.

    The inauguration ceremony, held in Room L.018 of the UNIKOM Smart Building, was attended by Prof. 3 Prof. HC. Dr. Ir. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T. (Rector of UNIKOM and Chairman of APTISI West Java) and witnessed by the entire university leaders, including the Vice Rectors, Deans, Heads of Study Programs, and the Edu Plus Team of UNIKOM including, Adam Mukharil Bachtiar, S.Kom., M.T., Ph.D. (Team Coordinator), Berny Indrawan, S.T., M.Kom. (Director of INFRANET), Irfan Dwiguna Sumitra, S.Kom., M.Kom., Ph.D. (Director of PTDSI), along with the entire team. The event was also attended in person by the Country Lead of Google for Education Indonesia, Olivia Husli Basrin, together with the Digital Transformation team, Kristiyanto and Ahmad Fikri Dzulfikar, as well as Google partner representatives from PT Datascript and PT Turbo, including Jefferey Susanto Situmorang (Branch Sales Manager), Egi Singgih Prasetyo (Business Executive), and Edwin Wijaya (Google Solutions Specialist).

    In his remarks, Prof. 3 Prof. HC. Dr. Ir. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., stated that the establishment of the AI Laboratory represents UNIKOM’s strategic step in responding to the rapidly evolving dynamics of global technology development. The current era is defined by digital transformation supported by artificial intelligence, intelligent computing, and data-driven system integration. Therefore, the presence of the AI Lab becomes both a fundamental necessity and a long-term institutional investment.

    Furthermore, Prof. Eddy explained, “UNIKOM has taken a strategic position by establishing collaboration with Google through the Google Learning Center program. This collaboration makes UNIKOM the first university in Indonesia to develop an AI laboratory based on a strategic partnership with a global technology company. This is not merely a symbol of cooperation, but a manifestation of our commitment to bringing world-class learning standards and technology ecosystems into the campus environment,” he concluded.

    The Coordinator of the UNIKOM Eduplus Team, Adam Mukharil Bachtiar, S.Kom., M.T., Ph.D., stated, “Today marks an important milestone. The facilities that have been gradually prepared are now officially ready to be utilized optimally. Moving forward, strengthening an AI-based curriculum has become a strategic necessity. The scope of this program is not limited to teaching alone. We are also opening opportunities for research collaboration, industry mentoring, and community empowerment programs. In this way, the AI ecosystem at UNIKOM can generate broader impacts, not only for the academic community but also for external partners and the wider public.”

    Meanwhile, the Country Lead of Google for Education Indonesia, Olivia Basrin, stated in her speech, “We highly appreciate UNIKOM’s progressive step as the first university in Indonesia to establish an AI Center through strategic collaboration with Google, an initiative that has previously been implemented in Singapore and South Korea and is now pioneered in Indonesia by UNIKOM. We hope this initiative will not only benefit UNIKOM but also inspire and serve as a catalyst for other universities in Indonesia to develop integrated and globally competitive AI ecosystems,” she emphasized.

    The inauguration ceremony was marked by a ribbon-cutting and plaque-signing, followed by a tour of the laboratory facilities as a symbol of the ongoing partnership between UNIKOM and Google Indonesia. The development of the AI Laboratory was the result of collaboration among various internal units at UNIKOM together with Google, including the Directorate of Technology and Information Systems Development (PTDSI) and the Directorate of INFRANET, which played key roles in planning, infrastructure development, and the implementation of technology within the laboratory.

    The event also featured an interactive demonstration session where students presented a simulation of the laboratory visit flow, illustrating the user experience from registration to exploring AI devices and systems. The event continued with a presentation on the laboratory’s features by Berny Indrawan, S.T., M.Kom. and Irfan Dwiguna Sumitra, S.Kom., M.Kom., Ph.D., who explained the integration of computing systems, support from Google platforms, and infrastructure for machine learning and AI-based project development. This session was moderated directly by the Coordinator of the UNIKOM Eduplus Team, Adam Mukharil Bachtiar, S.Kom., M.T., Ph.D.

    UNIKOM X Google Learning Center features a space design that supports flexibility and productivity. The laboratory includes one main area called the Main Area, an open space that allows visitors to freely explore, discuss, and work flexibly with various collaborative seating options.

    In addition to the main area, there are three supporting rooms designed for more focused activities. Two focus rooms with a capacity of four people are intended for students or teams conducting in-depth discussions, project development, or collaborative research. Meanwhile, one ultra focus room is provided for individual use, enabling users to work more privately and concentrate fully on developing models, conducting experiments, or performing AI–based analysis.

    The laboratory is not only intended for students but is also open to lecturers, the entire UNIKOM academic community, and the wider public when needed. With its adaptive and inclusive spatial concept, the UNIKOM X Google Learning Center serves as a cross-disciplinary collaboration space that supports the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education through technology.

    Through the establishment of the UNIKOM X Google Learning Center, UNIKOM further strengthens its commitment as a visionary, technology-based higher education institution with a global outlook, while contributing to accelerating digital transformation in Indonesia. This strategic collaboration also marks UNIKOM’s position as the first university in Indonesia to collaborate directly with Google in the development of an Artificial Intelligence Laboratory.     BANDUNG, UNIKOM  – Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) continues to expand and strengthen its institutional collaboration network through the exploration of an extension of its partnership with the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM). The initiative is part of preparations for the implementation of artificial intelligence in the development of a talent management system within BPOM’s State Civil Apparatus Information System (SIASN). The exploratory meeting regarding the extension of the cooperation was held in a hybrid format (offline and online) on Wednesday, 11 February 2026, at the Meeting Room, Lobby Smart Building UNIKOM. The meeting served as both an evaluation forum and a strategic milestone to reinforce the commitment of both institutions in supporting the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education and advancing technology-based system development.

    Representing the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM) were Senior Civil Apparatus Human Resources Assessor Dra. Ida Farida, Apt.; Senior Expert Civil Apparatus HR Analyst Selvina Dzulhi, S.Farm., Apt., M.Farm.; Analyst Lia Mardidyaastuti, S.T.; First Expert Computer Administrator Dzikri Habibilah, S.Kom.; and Skilled Computer Administrator Tata Sutiadi, A.Md. 

    From UNIKOM, attendees included Deputy Vice Rector IV Adam Mukharil Bachtiar, S.Kom., M.T., Ph.D.; Director of PTDSI Irfan Dwiguna Sumitra, S.Kom., M.Kom., Ph.D.; Head of the Cooperation Division Dr. Henike Primawanti, M.I.Pol.; and Head of the Codelabs Division as well as Informatics Engineering Lecturer Dian Dharmayanti, S.T., M.Kom., along with three internship (KP) student team members who participated in strategic discussions regarding the direction of collaboration over the next five years.

    The first phase of cooperation (2021–2026) has been implemented through various programs, particularly in strengthening institutional systems and enhancing human resource capacity within the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM). Since 2021, academic and technical support has been realized through system training programs focused on strengthening information technology competencies and optimizing adaptive work systems aligned with digital transformation. These initiatives have involved UNIKOM’s academic and practitioner teams, including contributions from the Deputy Vice Rector IV and the Head of the Codelabs Division, supported by the Codelabs team. Additional efforts have included digital capacity development and needs-based institutional collaboration.

    During the meeting, both institutions evaluated the achievements of the previous cooperation period and formulated plans for renewal for the 2025–2030 term. The extension also aligns with leadership dynamics and the new administrative period within the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM), necessitating strategic alignment of shared vision and future collaboration strategies. 

    A key factor reinforcing this synergy is the role of UNIKOM alumni currently serving at the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM), including Zikri, who has acted as a bridge for communication and inter-institutional development. The presence of alumni in strategic state institutions is regarded as instrumental in fostering more practical and sustainable collaborations.

    Head of the Cooperation Division, Dr. Henike, stated that the meeting marked part of the renewal process of the established partnership, with a focus on strengthening the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, encompassing education, research, and community service, as well as developing system training programs aligned with the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency’s institutional needs. 

    Through this renewed partnership, UNIKOM and the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM) reaffirm their joint commitment to delivering impactful collaboration, not only in strengthening institutional governance and system management but also in supporting more effective, technology-based supervision of food and drugs in Indonesia.     BANDUNG, UNIKOM – In an effort to strengthen the quality of human resources and ensure that the competency standards of educational personnel align with industry demands and national regulations, Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM), through its Directorate of General Administration, organized a National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP) Training and Certification program on Saturday, February 21, 2026. The event was conducted online via Zoom Meeting. The training was attended by 39 educational staff members, comprising directorate staff, finance personnel, and representatives from study program secretariats, as part of the institution’s strategy to establish competency-based professional governance.

    The program commenced with an orientation session outlining the structure of the training and certification process. During this session, participants received comprehensive briefings on occupational competency standards, the scope of the certification scheme, and the technical procedures of the assessment. The training referred to standards established by the Badan Nasional Sertifikasi Profesi (BNSP), an independent body authorized to implement professional competency certification in Indonesia. Through this process, participants were prepared to meet measurable competency indicators in accordance with the Indonesian National Work Competency Standards (SKKNI). As a follow-up to the preparatory stage, the competency examination was conducted on Saturday, February 28, 2026. This assessment phase determined certification eligibility, during which participants were objectively evaluated by certified competency assessors based on their chosen certification scheme.

    Assoc. Prof. Dr. Agus Riyanto, S.T., M.T., CSBA., as Vice Rector II for Resources emphasized in his opening remarks, that the greatest investment of an educational institution lies not merely in infrastructure, but in the quality of its human resources. He stated that the program represents a strategic step in fostering UNIKOM’s work culture of Professionalism, Integrity, Quality, IT, and Excellence (PIQIE). He encouraged participants to engage seriously in the training, actively participate in discussions, and utilize the opportunity as momentum for self-development and performance improvement. He further expressed his expectation that UNIKOM’s educational staff, particularly those in human resources and finance, would gain a comprehensive understanding of nationally applicable competency standards and enhance both their technical and managerial capacities in accordance with institutional, directorate, and study program needs.

    In line with this vision, the Director of General Administration, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Adeh Ratna Komala, S.E., M.Si., CERA., conveyed her hope that the training and certification program would not only provide strategic benefits for the institution but also serve as a sustainable platform for competency development and the enhancement of professionalism among UNIKOM’s human resources.

    Meanwhile, Dr. Sri Lestari Prasilowati, M.A., serving as a BNSP Assessor, expressed her appreciation for the collaboration with UNIKOM, which is widely recognized as a leading institution. As a member of the Supervisory Board of ADPM-SDM, she affirmed their commitment to ensuring that the training was conducted optimally so that participants would gain a strong foundation to face the competency examination. By integrating training materials with participants’ practical experience in human resources and financial administration, she noted, the program aimed to strengthen professionalism and generate authentic, sustainable evidence of competency. She also conveyed gratitude for the trust extended by UNIKOM’s leadership and encouraged participants to engage actively and interactively throughout the program.

    Through this training and competency assessment initiative, UNIKOM reaffirms its commitment to developing internal competencies as a foundation for institutional strengthening, while supporting its vision of becoming a distinguished, professional, and competitive university at both national and global levels.     BANDUNG, UNIKOM – On Thursday, February 19, 2026, the Student Affairs Directorate of the Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) held an online socialization of the 2026 Program Penguatan Kapasitas Organisasi Kemahasiswaan (PPK ORMAWA) via Zoom Meeting. Also present at the event were UNIKOM Vice Rector I for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Hj. Umi Narimawati, Dra., S.E., M.Si., Director of Student Affairs Andrias Darmayadi, S.IP., M.Si., Ph.D., UNIKOM PPK ORMAWA Coordinator, Dr. Hj. Supriyati, SE., M.Si., Ak., CA., ASEAN CPA., CPI., CIAP., AMKI, and student affairs advisors, Student Activity Unit (UKM) advisors, as well as representatives of student organizations within UNIKOM.

    The Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Hj. Umi Narimawati, Dra., S.E., M.Si., in her opening remarks expressed her appreciation to the Directorate of Student Affairs for its consistency in overseeing the implementation of PPK ORMAWA. Prof. Umi also thanked the PPK ORMAWA Coordinator for continuously encouraging the creation of high-quality and competitive proposals to obtain funding from the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education.

    According to Prof. Umi, PPK ORMAWA is not just a funding competition, but also a strategic learning space for students to hone their academic, leadership, and social sensitivity skills. In addition, Prof. Umi also emphasized that competition at the national level is very tight, so it requires sincerity, discipline, and solid collaboration between faculty advisors and Ormawa. “What we should be proud of is not only when the proposal is funded, but also the process of struggle, the innovations produced, and the real impact felt by the community and the development of students,” she said.

    Meanwhile, UNIKOM Director of Student Affairs, Andrias Darmayadi, Ph.D., said that 2026 will be the fourth year of the PPK ORMAWA program since it began in 2022. He emphasized that this program is an important instrument in strengthening the capacity of student organizations while promoting sustainable village empowerment.

    He further explained that each year UNIKOM has demonstrated positive progress. Although funding was not secured in the previous year, the submitted proposals successfully passed the selection stage, indicating an improvement in quality. He therefore encouraged all student organizations to optimize their time and potential to reach the funding stage this year. He also stressed the importance of collaboration between Student Associations (Himpunan Mahasiswa/Hima) and Student Activity Units (UKM), which have been mapped according to their respective capacities. Such synergy is expected to produce comprehensive and applicable proposals under the guidance of competent academic advisors.

    The session continued with a presentation by the PPK ORMAWA Coordinator, Dr. Supriyati, who elaborated on the background, primary objectives, and regulatory framework of the 2026 PPK ORMAWA. The program constitutes a form of student organization development facilitated by the Directorate of Student Affairs (Belmawa) and higher education institutions, implemented through community service and empowerment initiatives.

    Dr. Supriyati explained that PPK ORMAWA aims to enhance the institutional capacity of student organizations, develop students’ hard and soft skills in an integrated manner, and foster tangible contributions toward the advancement of villages or urban communities in line with selected themes. The program also serves as a platform for cultivating transformational leaders capable of delivering solutions to various societal challenges.

    In 2026, several policy adjustments have been introduced. The number of topic options has been streamlined from 13 to 8 strategic themes. In addition, funding per sub-proposal has been adjusted from Rp 35,000,000 in the previous year to Rp 30,000,000 this year.

    Through this dissemination session, the Directorate of Student Affairs of UNIKOM expressed its hope that all student organizations will be able to develop innovative, solution-oriented, and sustainability-driven proposals, thereby enhancing their competitiveness at the national level while making meaningful contributions to society.     BANDUNG, UNIKOM – Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) officially established an international partnership with University of the Philippines Mindanao through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) held at the Office of the Konsulat Jenderal Republik Indonesia in Davao City, Philippines, and broadcast in a hybrid format via Zoom. The MoU marked an important milestone in strengthening academic relations between Indonesia and the Philippines, particularly in the fields of higher education, research, and technology-based innovation.

    The signing ceremony was represented by the Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia in Davao City, Agus Trenggono, who attended alongside officials of the Indonesian Consulate as a form of diplomatic support for enhancing higher education cooperation between the two countries. Also present online were members of UNIKOM’s leadership, including Adam Mukharil Bachtiar, S.Kom., M.T., Ph.D., as the Deputy Vice Rector IV, Dr. Senny Luckyardi, S.P., M.M. as the Director of the International Program, Irfan Dwiguna Sumitra, S.Kom., M.Kom., as the Director of PTDSI, Ph.D., Dr. Henike Primawanti, M.I.Pol,  as the Head of the Cooperation Division. From the University of the Philippines Mindanao, the event was attended by Chancellor Prof. Lyre Anni E. Murao and other university officials.

    In his opening remarks, Adam Mukharil Bachtiar, Ph.D., representing the Vice Rector IV for Digital Technology & ICT, International Program & Center of Excellence, Prof. Zainal Arifin Hasibuan, Ph.D., stated that Indonesia and the Philippines share historical, cultural, and regional ties as fellow Southeast Asian nations. This closeness, he noted, provides a strong foundation for strengthening academic collaboration that is responsive to global challenges and regional needs.

    “This MoU is not merely a formal document, but a strategic bridge to expand faculty and student mobility, develop joint research, and promote various interdisciplinary academic initiatives. This collaboration is expected to integrate regional potential with global knowledge networks to create sustainable impact,” he said.

    He further added that UNIKOM, as a higher education institution focusing on science, technology, innovation, and applied research, views this partnership as a concrete step toward strengthening institutional digital transformation and internationalization.

    In line with this, the Director of the International Program, Dr. Senny Luckyardi, expressed her hope that the MoU signing would not remain an administrative formality but would become a significant milestone for both institutions. She emphasized that the momentum opens opportunities for lecturers and education personnel to build closer, more productive, and sustainable collaboration. She also conveyed optimism that the partnership would be actively implemented through concrete programs providing tangible benefits for both parties.

    Meanwhile, the Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia in Davao City, Agus Trenggono, expressed his appreciation for the establishment of cooperation between UNIKOM and the University of the Philippines Mindanao. He underlined that higher education collaboration plays a strategic role in strengthening Indonesia–Philippines bilateral relations, particularly in science, technology, and innovation. According to him, inter-university cooperation reinforces people-to-people contact, which forms the foundation of long-term relations between the two countries. The Indonesian Consulate in Davao City also reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the implementation of the MoU’s follow-up programs in a concrete, sustainable, and mutually beneficial manner.

    Based on the agreed framework, the scope of cooperation includes student exchange programs that provide academic and cultural exchange opportunities to enrich global perspectives; faculty exchange programs to encourage collaborative teaching, curriculum development, and the sharing of expertise in innovative methodologies; and collaborative research aimed at advancing joint studies in various strategic fields contributing to scientific progress and social impact. In addition, other academic initiatives will be undertaken, including joint publications, international seminars, digital innovation, and institutional capacity-building programs.

    In this context, the University of the Philippines Mindanao, which promotes the Education 5.0 for Regenerative Futures framework, emphasizes the importance of education oriented toward sustainability, resilience, and inclusive development. This shared vision aligns with UNIKOM’s commitment to integrating technology and innovation to address global societal challenges.

    Through the signing of this MoU, both institutions expect to initiate a dynamic and productive partnership that will not only strengthen institutional capacity but also make a tangible contribution to the development of the Southeast Asian region. With a spirit of collaboration and shared responsibility, UNIKOM and the University of the Philippines Mindanao are optimistic that this synergy will produce flagship programs with broad impact for students, academics, and the wider communities of both countries.
