UNIKOM’s Ashfiyatunnisa Religious Council Holds Social Service Event: Strengthening Social Awareness During Ramadan

BANDUNG, UNIKOM – The spirit of sharing and concern for the surrounding community was demonstrated by the academic community of Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM). On Saturday, March 7, 2026, the Ashfiyatunnisa Religious Council of UNIKOM, which operates under the guidance of the Science and Technology Foundation, organized a social service event providing charitable donations to orphans and the underprivileged in the vicinity of the UNIKOM campus in Dipatiukur, Bandung City.

The event served as a momentum to strengthen the relationship between the campus and the surrounding community, particularly in welcoming the holy month of Ramadan 1447 Hijri. The program commenced with an opening ceremony, followed by a religious sermon, and concluded with the distribution of donations to beneficiaries from Community Unit (RW) 13 of Lebak Gede Subdistrict, Bandung City.

The Chairperson of the Ashfiyatunnisa Religious Council of UNIKOM, Apriani Puti Purfini, S.Kom., M.T., stated that the charity event is a social program organized by the forum with the support of various parties within the university environment.

“Alhamdulillahirrahmanirrahim, today we are able to hold a charity event for orphans and the underprivileged. We prepared for this activity over the course of two weeks. This is the first donation event held by the Ashfiyatunnisa Religious Council of UNIKOM, focused on the community around the campus as a form of care for our immediate environment. Hopefully, this activity can continue in the future and expand its social reach to broader areas,” said Apriani.

On this occasion, Apriani also expressed her appreciation to all parties who supported the realization of the event, including the Rector of UNIKOM, Prof. HC. Dr. Ir. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., the advisor of the Ashfiyatunnisa Religious Council, Dra. Hj. Ani Astuti, S.E., as well as the lecturers, staff, and the academic community of UNIKOM who participated as donors. “We would like to express our gratitude to the donors, starting from the Rector, Dra. The Head of Community Unit (RW) 13 Dipatiukur, Mohamad Riza Setiaji, also expressed his appreciation for the implementation of the social event. He stated that the sharing activity initiated by the Ashfiyatunnisa Religious Council, provided tangible benefits for the community in his area, especially for the orphans and the underprivileged. “We express our gratitude for the charity event organized by the Ashfiyatunnisa Religious Council of UNIKOM. Alhamdulillah, this event, which included the distribution of donations and a religious lecture, went smoothly and provided benefits to the orphans and the underprivileged in the Community Unit (RW) 13 area,” he noted.

UNIKOM and UGJ Sign MoU and Conduct Benchmarking, Strengthening Digital Transformation in Higher Education, Promoting Impactful Collaboration

BANDUNG, UNIKOM – On Thursday, March 5, 2026, Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) received an official visit from Universitas Swadaya Gunung Jati (UGJ) Cirebon to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and conduct benchmarking activities related to digital campus management. Held in the Grand Meeting Room on the 15th floor of the UNIKOM Smart Building, this event served as a strategic moment for both universities to strengthen their synergy in the development of technology-based higher education and digital transformation.

The event was attended by senior officials from both institutions. From UNIKOM, the attendees included Prof. 3 Prof. HC. Dr. Ir. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T. (UNIKOM Rector), Prof. Dr. Hj. This collabortion is motivated by the complementary strategic relationship between the two institutions. UGJ is seen as a strategic partner for UNIKOM in supporting the initiation of a new faculty currently being planned by UNIKOM. On the other hand, UNIKOM is also a strategic partner for UGJ in strengthening the fields of digital technology and information technology, particularly in the development of digital campus management systems, technological infrastructure, and IT-based innovations in the higher education environment.

The Rector of UNIKOM and Chairman of APTISI West Java, Prof. 3 Prof. HC. Dr. Ir. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., said in his speech that the meeting was a concrete step in building synergy between the two institutions. “This collaboration is part of the collaborative spirit that has been built through the APTISI West Java, so that the implementation of the collaboration is not only limited to the two institutions, but can also be expanded to various other universities in West Java and other provinces,” he said.

Furthermore, Prof. Eddy said that UNIKOM, as a university with strengths in the digital and ICT fields, was asked by UGJ to share its experience and knowledge, especially since UGJ is currently developing new study program in the field of informatics that require references and reinforcement from UNIKOM. Therefore, this collaboration is considered an appropriate step to complement the strengths of each institution.

Meanwhile, the Rector of UGJ, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Achmad Faqih, S.P., M.M., IPU., CIRR., in his speech said that this collaboration has strategic value in strengthening collaboration between the two universities. Prof. Achmad also explained that in the past year, UGJ has developed around ten new study programs, most of which are based on information technology. Therefore, UGJ considers it important to establish cooperation with UNIKOM to obtain support in preparing competent human resources and strengthening facilities and infrastructure as the foundation for developing these study programs. “We hope that this collaboration can benefit both institutions and become a joint step in preparing an excellent generation towards the vision of Indonesia Emas 2045,” he concluded.

The synergy between the two universities reflects the commitment of both institutions to support each other in human resource development, knowledge exchange, and strengthening academic and institutional capacity. Through this collaboration, UNIKOM and UGJ are expected to jointly promote the improvement of higher education quality through the integration of excellence in the fields of educational innovation, digital technology, and health.

The activity continued with the signing of an MoU between UNIKOM and UGJ as a joint commitment to developing various collaborative programs focused on implementing the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi (Three Pillars of Higher Education), improving human resource competencies, and strengthening digital technology-based academic services. The scope of this collaboration includes educational activities, research, and community service, strengthening digital and hybrid learning, research assistance and implementation of the MBKM program, as well as the development of various academic programs that support the achievement of the Main Performance Indicators of higher education institutions.

After the signing of the MoU, the activity continued with a benchmarking session that specifically discussed the practices of information technology governance and digital transformation implemented at UNIKOM. This discussion covered information technology policy management, network infrastructure management, cyber security, data center management, and the use of cloud systems to support digital campus operations.

Through this benchmarking activity, the two universities were able to exchange experiences, practices, and strategies for developing campus information systems that are adaptive to technological developments. UNIKOM Officially Launches “UNIKOM X Google Learning Center” the First University AI Lab Innovation Center in Indonesia

BANDUNG, UNIKOM – On Wednesday, March 4, 2026, Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) officially inaugurated an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Laboratory resulting from a strategic collaboration with Google AI. The UNIKOM X Google Learning Center Artificial Intelligence Laboratory affirms UNIKOM’s position as the first university in Indonesia to establish an AI learning center integrated with Google’s technology ecosystem. This collaboration was initiated by the Directorate of IT Infrastructure & Network (INFRANET) at UNIKOM, which began the development and construction process of the AI Laboratory in August 2025, culminating in its official inauguration on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.

The inauguration ceremony, held in Room L.018 of the UNIKOM Smart Building, was attended by Prof. 3 Prof. HC. Dr. Ir. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T. (Rector of UNIKOM and Chairman of APTISI West Java) and witnessed by the entire university leaders, including the Vice Rectors, Deans, Heads of Study Programs, and the Edu Plus Team of UNIKOM including, Adam Mukharil Bachtiar, S.Kom., M.T., Ph.D. (Team Coordinator), Berny Indrawan, S.T., M.Kom. (Director of INFRANET), Irfan Dwiguna Sumitra, S.Kom., M.Kom., Ph.D. (Director of PTDSI), along with the entire team. In his remarks, Prof. 3 Prof. HC. Dr. Ir. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., stated that the establishment of the AI Laboratory represents UNIKOM’s strategic step in responding to the rapidly evolving dynamics of global technology development. The current era is defined by digital transformation supported by artificial intelligence, intelligent computing, and data-driven system integration. Therefore, the presence of the AI Lab becomes both a fundamental necessity and a long-term institutional investment.

Furthermore, Prof. Eddy explained, “UNIKOM has taken a strategic position by establishing collaboration with Google through the Google Learning Center program. This collaboration makes UNIKOM the first university in Indonesia to develop an AI laboratory based on a strategic partnership with a global technology company. This is not merely a symbol of cooperation, but a manifestation of our commitment to bringing world-class learning standards and technology ecosystems into the campus environment,” he concluded.

The Coordinator of the UNIKOM Eduplus Team, Adam Mukharil Bachtiar, S.Kom., M.T., Ph.D., stated, “Today marks an important milestone. The facilities that have been gradually prepared are now officially ready to be utilized optimally. Moving forward, strengthening an AI-based curriculum has become a strategic necessity. The scope of this program is not limited to teaching alone. We are also opening opportunities for research collaboration, industry mentoring, and community empowerment programs. In this way, the AI ecosystem at UNIKOM can generate broader impacts, not only for the academic community but also for external partners and the wider public.”

Meanwhile, the Country Lead of Google for Education Indonesia, Olivia Basrin, stated in her speech, “We highly appreciate UNIKOM’s progressive step as the first university in Indonesia to establish an AI Center through strategic collaboration with Google, an initiative that has previously been implemented in Singapore and South Korea and is now pioneered in Indonesia by UNIKOM. We hope this initiative will not only benefit UNIKOM but also inspire and serve as a catalyst for other universities in Indonesia to develop integrated and globally competitive AI ecosystems,” she emphasized.

The inauguration ceremony was marked by a ribbon-cutting and plaque-signing, followed by a tour of the laboratory facilities as a symbol of the ongoing partnership between UNIKOM and Google Indonesia. The development of the AI Laboratory was the result of collaboration among various internal units at UNIKOM together with Google, including the Directorate of Technology and Information Systems Development (PTDSI) and the Directorate of INFRANET, which played key roles in planning, infrastructure development, and the implementation of technology within the laboratory.

The event also featured an interactive demonstration session where students presented a simulation of the laboratory visit flow, illustrating the user experience from registration to exploring AI devices and systems. The event continued with a presentation on the laboratory’s features by Berny Indrawan, S.T., M.Kom. and Irfan Dwiguna Sumitra, S.Kom., M.Kom., Ph.D., who explained the integration of computing systems, support from Google platforms, and infrastructure for machine learning and AI-based project development. UNIKOM X Google Learning Center features a space design that supports flexibility and productivity. The laboratory includes one main area called the Main Area, an open space that allows visitors to freely explore, discuss, and work flexibly with various collaborative seating options.

In addition to the main area, there are three supporting rooms designed for more focused activities. Two focus rooms with a capacity of four people are intended for students or teams conducting in-depth discussions, project development, or collaborative research. Meanwhile, one ultra focus room is provided for individual use, enabling users to work more privately and concentrate fully on developing models, conducting experiments, or performing AI–based analysis.

The laboratory is not only intended for students but is also open to lecturers, the entire UNIKOM academic community, and the wider public when needed. With its adaptive and inclusive spatial concept, the UNIKOM X Google Learning Center serves as a cross-disciplinary collaboration space that supports the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education through technology.

Through the establishment of the UNIKOM X Google Learning Center, UNIKOM further strengthens its commitment as a visionary, technology-based higher education institution with a global outlook, while contributing to accelerating digital transformation in Indonesia. UNIKOM RECTOR Officially Inaugurate as Chairman of APTISI West Java for the 2025–2030 Term: Accelerating Digital Acceleration and Collaboration among Private Higher Education Institutions

BANDUNG, UNIKOM — The Rector of the Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM), Prof. 3 Prof. Dr. Ir. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., was officially inaugurated as Chairman of the Association of Indonesian Private Universities (APTISI) for West Java Province for the 2025–2030 period on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at the Bandung Convention Center, Jl. Soekarno Hatta no 345 Bandung. The inauguration was a strategic moment in strengthening the leadership of private universities (PTS) in West Java towards an era of digital transformation and increased global competitiveness.

In addition to the inauguration of the chairperson, 86 members of the APTISI West Java executive board were also inaugurated on the same occasion. The inauguration procession was led directly by the Chairman of APTISI Central, Dr. Ir. H. M. Budi Djatmiko, M.Si., M.E., where the management was the result of the APTISI West Java Regional Meeting held on December 18, 2025.

On this occasion, the Chairman of APTISI Central, Dr. Ir. H. M. Budi, said that digital transformation is the main foundation for strengthening the quality of higher education. The meeting was held in the Rector’s Office on the 15th floor of the UNIKOM Smart Building, serving both as a goodwill visit and a discussion on enhancing collaboration and strategic cooperation between the university and the State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN).

Rector of UNIKOM, who is also the Chairperson of the Association of Indonesian Private Universities (APTISI) of West Java, Prof. HC. Dr. Ir. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., directly welcomed the delegation. He was accompanied by UNIKOM Vice Rector II for Human Resources, Assoc. West Java APTISI Regional Conference 2025: Prof. Eddy Elected as West Java APTISI Chairman for the 2025–2030 Period, Promoting Transformative Leadership Strategy to Strengthen PTS

BANDUNG, UNIKOM — The Association of Indonesian Private Universities (APTISI) West Java Region continued the series of the 2025 APTISI West Java Regional Conference (Muswil) with the implementation of the Second Session, which focused on the organizational deliberation agenda, on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at the Grand Pasundan Convention Hotel, Bandung.

The second session was the core of the 2025 muswil, with the main agenda being a plenary session that was carried out gradually and systematically. The plenary session included the establishment of conference rules, the ratification of the deliberation agenda, the submission and discussion of the accountability report of the previous West Java APTISI leadership, and the presentation of general views from conference participants.

The session was chaired by a chairperson appointed through a consensus mechanism and attended by representatives of private university leaders who are also members of APTISI West Java. In this forum, participants actively provided input, evaluations, and recommendations on the organization’s performance, particularly regarding the implementation of work programs, institutional strengthening, and APTISI’s response to the dynamics of national higher education policy.

The activity continued with a plenary session agenda that included the discussion and determination of strategic recommendations for the 2025 West Java APTISI Regional Conference, which were directed at strengthening the governance of private universities, improving academic quality and accreditation, developing human resources, and strengthening networks and collaboration between private universities and with the government.

At this important moment in the plenary session, the Chairman of APTISI Central, Dr. Ir. H.M. Budi Djatmiko, M.Si., M.E.I., officially announced the results of the election for the Chairman of APTISI West Java, which was decided by acclamation, appointing the Rector of Universitas Komputer Indonesia, Prof. 3 Prof HC. Appreciation for Unikom Commitment to Digital Transformation: Head of LLDIKTI Region IV Encourages Unikom Graduates to Contribute and make an Impact on Society

BANDUNG, UNIKOM — The 44th Graduation Ceremony of the Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) for the Even Semester of the 2024-2025 Academic Year was held solemnly and meaningfully at the Harris Convention Hall, Citylink Bandung, on Saturday and Sunday, November 1-2, 2025. The event marked a historic moment for 1,215 graduates from the master’s, bachelor’s, and diploma levels who were officially inaugurated in the Open Senate Session of UNIKOM.

The presence of the Head of LLDIKTI Region IV West Java and Banten, Dr. Lukman, S.T., M.Hum., was highlighted the first day of the graduation ceremony. Dr. Lukman congratulated the parents and graduates and expressed his high appreciation for UNIKOM as a technology-based university that continues to innovate and contribute to the improvement of higher education quality in Indonesia. Dr. Lukman also invited the graduates to sing along to one of UNIKOM’s collaborative works in the film “JUMBO”. In line with the screening, Dr. Lukman said that there will be times when we face difficulties, but we must not forget to always believe that success will come in the future.

At the end of his speech, Dr. Lukman advised the graduates who had studied at UNIKOM to always uphold the good name of their families, university, and nation wherever they may be. He emphasized the importance of being realistic in achieving goals and following every step of goodness. “As our leader said, you must be able to become a clear spring that benefits the lives of those around you. No matter how small the contribution, you can make a tremendous impact,” he concluded.

The Head of the West Java Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Asep Sutandar, A.Md.IP., S.Sos., M.Si, was also present. Meanwhile, on the second day, the graduation ceremony was also honored by the presence of international guests, including Prof. Bettina Meiser (University of New South Wales, Australia); Debbie Plath (Australian Catholic University); Erika Matano (JICA Japan); and Mimi Haryani Tasani, M.Eng. (Sultan Zainal Abidin University, Malaysia).

The Rector of UNIKOM and Chairman of APTISI West Java, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., emphasized that this graduation ceremony marked the beginning of the graduates’ journey to success. Furthermore, Prof. Eddy also conveyed a number of directives and inspirational messages for the graduates to face the future with enthusiasm and integrity, emphasizing the importance of the following: 1) Always prioritize things that are truly important. 2) Cultivate a diligent and persistent attitude in facing and overcoming every challenge. 3) Instill discipline within oneself as the foundation for success. 4) Be able to manage time well through effective time management. 5) Have strong determination to achieve goals. 6) Maintain high motivation in every step taken. 7) Be energetic so that your body and mind are always fit. 8) Be oriented towards clear and focused achievements. 9). Cultivate a never-give-up spirit in facing various situations. 10) Be adaptive to every change and condition you face. 11) Instill the value of honesty in every action. 12) Be responsible for every decision and action taken. 13) Have an open mind to new ideas and opportunities. 14) Maintain a positive attitude in thinking and acting. 15) Cultivate creativity and innovation skills. 16) Use intelligence wisely to solve problems. 17) Be smart in seeing and taking advantage of opportunities. 18) Be able to manage various resources, whether human, machine, or material, effectively. 19) Never forget to always pray as a spiritual foundation in every step of life.

The graduation ceremony proceeded smoothly and solemnly, concluding with the presentation of flowers by representatives of the best graduates to the Rector and parents as a symbol of gratitude and appreciation. Through the 44th Graduation Ceremony, UNIKOM reaffirmed its position as an excellent and globally competitive technology-based university, and strengthened its synergy with LLDIKTI and other strategic partners towards digital transformation in higher education. UNIKOM, APTISI West Java, Binus University and International Institute of Applied Informatics (IIAI) Collaborate To Hold International Seminar

BANDUNG, UNIKOM – Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) again presented an international academic event by holding a seminar entitled “AI, Equity, and Opportunity: Bridging the Digital Divide.” This seminar was held openly for participants from various backgrounds, both offline at the Smart Building on the 17th floor of UNIKOM and online via the Zoom platform. This seminar was the result of UNIKOM’s collaboration with APTISI West Java, Binus University, and the International Institute of Applied Informatics (IIAI).

The event presented a number of renowned speakers in the field of artificial intelligence and applied informatics, including: 1) Prof. Tokuro Matsuo, Ph.D – CEO of IIAI and Professor at Advanced Institute of Industrial Technology, Tokyo, Japan. 2) Prof. Dr. Eng. Takayuki Ito – Kyoto University, Japan. 3) Prof. Zainal A. Hasibuan, Ph.D – UNIKOM Vice Rector IV for Digital Technology & ICT, International Programs & Center of Excellence. 4) Prof. Yuya Yokoyama, Ph.D – Advanced Institute of Industrial Technology, Japan. 5). Prof. Dr. Ir. Ford Lumban Gaol, SMIEEE – Head of Computer Science Doctoral Department, Binus University. The event was hosted by moderator Dr. Salmon Priaji Martana, S.T., M.T., as UNIKOM’s Deputy Director of International Affairs & Cooperation.

On this occasion, the Rector of UNIKOM and the Chairperson of APTISI West Java, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., thanked IIAI, BINUS University, and APTISI for working together in organizing this event. Prof. Eddy also emphasized that “the workshop ‘AI, Equity, and Opportunity-Bridging the Digital Divide’ and artificial intelligence are no longer a distant future; they already here, changing the way we do research, innovate, and expand knowledge. This event is more than just a discussion about AI capabilities. Through this workshop, we aim to bridge the digital divide by equipping researchers, educators, and students with the skills to utilize AI in their academic activities.” Prof. Eddy said.

Prof. Dr. Eng. Takayuki Ito from Kyoto University, Japan, discussed online material on how the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is implemented into everyday life. He was also invited to discuss the future of Indonesia. Meanwhile, Prof. Tokuro Matsuo, Ph.D., as CEO of IIAI from Tokyo, Japan, said that “AI systems will continue to learn and learn to provide smarter answers in the future. So, there must be a balance. Sometimes we use LLM and AI, but other times we learn in class; we still have to learn using textbooks and the internet, and sometimes we use LLM and AI to find more information,” said Prof. Tokuro.

Prof. Yuya Yokoyama, Ph.D., of the Advanced Institute of Industrial Technology, Japan, argued that “AI is very useful for life, but at the same time, we must look at the weaknesses; that is, AI can produce something, but we should not trust the results, for example, fake news or fake pictures. There are real figures of people, but their faces are different from other people, and we must assess whether the results are correct or not. Maybe sometimes, but we have to evaluate the content,” said Prof. Yuya.

The last presentation of material on AI, delivered by Prof. Dr. Ir. Ford Lumban Gaol, the Head of the Doctoral Computer Science Study Program, BINUS University, explained the purpose of AI from his perspective: “AI itself is indeed one of the targets for development for millennial generation friends, especially students; the second is in the context of digital literacy. AI is the key word because there are so many applications or various learning aids that are AI-based; maybe we know the ChatGPT model, which has recently been massively used by students. Today, we bring a bigger context called hyperdemocracy, where people or society can see AI itself in the context of moderating and also taking a consensus from discussions that exist online. Because whatever happens in the world of democracy, everyone has the right, has the desire, and has the freedom to speak,” he concluded.

This discussion was followed by a question and answer session with the participants guided by the moderator. It is expected that this workshop can become a forum for academics, students, and professionals in understanding the challenges and opportunities in the growing digital era.

UNIKOM Inaugurates Two Professors In Tax Accounting And Behavior In Architecture

BANDUNG, UNIKOM – Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) held a Senate Open Session on Thursday, February 20, 2025, in the Professor Inauguration for two academics, Prof. Dr. Siti Kurnia Rahayu, SE, M.Ak, CA, Professor of Tax Accounting, who is also the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, and Prof. Dr. Ir. Dhini Dewiyanti Tantarto, M.T., Professor of Behavior in Architecture, who is also the Head of the Architectural Engineering Study Program. The solemn event was also attended by the Head of LLDIKTI Region IV, Dr. Lukman, S.T., M.Hum., as well as university leaders and professors, lecturers, and guests from various academic, government, and industry sectors.

After the senate procession was opened by the chairperson of the senate and the UNIKOM Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., UNIKOM’s Vice Rector I for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Hj. Umi Narimawati, DRA., S.E., M.Si., M.Pd., read the Decree (SK) of the Minister of Higher Education Science and Technology to Prof. Dr. Siti Kurnia Rahayu, SE., M.Ak., Ak.CA., and Prof. Dr. Ir. Dhini Dewiyanti Tantarto, MT., as part of the professor inauguration procession.

On this occasion, as an illustration of the long journey of the process passed by the two UNIKOM professors who will be inaugurated. Video profile of each professor that provides an overview of their academic journey and contribution in the world of education and research, followed by the delivery of scientific oration by the two professors. Prof. Dr. Siti Kurnia Rahayu delivered a scientific oration highlighting innovations in accounting and finance, while Prof. Dr. Ir. Dhini Dewiyanti Tantarto discussed innovations in engineering and technology.

As a form of respect, the UNIKOM Rector, accompanied by the UNIKOM Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, paired inaugural necklaces and handed over certificates of appreciation to the two professors. In addition, souvenirs were given as a sign of appreciation for their extraordinary contributions.

The event then continued with remarks from the UNIKOM Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T. In his remarks, Prof. Eddy thanked all the guests, especially the Head of LLDIKTI Region IV, Dr. Lukman, S.T., M.Hum., and all the professors from various institutions. He also expressed his congratulations and pride in the achievements of the two professors, Prof. Dr. Siti Kurnia Rahayu, SE., M.Ak., Ak., CA., and Prof. Dr. Ir. Dhini Dewiyanti Tantarto, M.T., “The achievement of becoming a professor for lecturers is a very dreamy thing, so the challenge that must be passed is to really carry out the Tri Dharma of higher education well, measurably, and systematically, so that it can be on time to achieve the goal of becoming a professor,” said Prof. Eddy.

The Head of LLDIKTI Region IV, Dr. Lukman, ST, M.Hum, also appreciated the achievements of the two professors and UNIKOM’s role in advancing higher education in Indonesia. He also revealed that “Becoming a Professor or Professor is not easy, there are at least three main requirements, including: 1) Educational background which according to the law must be S3 2) Must have been at the Head Lector level. 3) Narcissistic, which means that the results of research work from the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely teaching, research and service, are published internationally. Hope that the two professors, Prof. Dr. Siti Kurnia Rahayu, SE., M.Ak., Ak., CA., and Prof. Dr. Ir. Dhini Dewiyanti Tantarto, M.T., can inspire and encourage lecturers in the UNIKOM Environment to immediately become Professors,” he concluded.

At this special Momentum, it was also complemented by the appearance of the families of the two professors, which added to the emotion, romance, and positive energy. Followed by a group photo session, which became a precious moment that captured the pride of the entire UNIKOM academic community.

The UNIKOM Senate Open Session was closed by reading prayers and giving congratulations from the UNIKOM academic community to the two professors. This event is not only a milestone for UNIKOM but also an inspiration for academics and students to continue working and contributing to the world of education.

Chairman of APTISI West Java and UNIKOM Rector Serves as a Speaker at the National Seminar & Dialogue of APTISI Central in Batam

BANDUNG, UNIKOM – The Rector of Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM), Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., who is also the Chairman of the Association of Indonesian Private Universities (APTISI) West Java, attended the invitation to a seminar & dialogue at the 4th Plenary Central Management Meeting (RPPP) organized by APTISI with the theme “Together Realizing the Best Formulations and Thoughts for the Advancement of Education in Indonesia.” This activity was held from Friday, February 14, to Sunday, February 16, 2025, at Jl. Teuku Umar No.1, Lubuk Baja, Kepulauan Riau, Batam.

At the seminar & dialogue event, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., had the opportunity to become a guest speaker. This activity is a momentum and opportunity for private universities to strengthen each other and strengthen their roles in the national education system. In his presentation, Prof. Eddy said that “the importance of building systems, building organizational culture, and leadership in making higher education institutions grow, develop, advance, and excel” said Prof. Eddy.

The event was also attended by higher education experts including the entire Advisory Board, Board of Trustees, Advisory Board of APTISI Center, APTISI Daily Central Board, as well as all chairmen and secretaries of APTISI provinces. Various agendas were discussed at this seminar, such as strengthening APTISI institutions, improving academic quality, and strategic cooperation between private universities and various stakeholders.

The presence of Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., as a speaker in this event shows UNIKOM’s commitment as one of the private universities that actively contributes to various academic forums and the development of higher education in Indonesia.
