    UNIKOM Hosts a Collaboration between APTISI West Java and KPID to Strengthen Broadcasting Literacy through a Major MoU Signing Ceremony with 224 Private Universities and Partners in West Java

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM — On Wednesday, May 21, 2026, Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) hosted the “Nyemah Atikan Penyiaran” event themed “Media Awareness for the Community,” combined with a massive MoU signing ceremony between the Association of Indonesian Private Universities (APTISI) West Java, the West Java Regional Broadcasting Commission (KPID), and 224 partner universities, institutions, and agencies. The event was attended by various key figures from the government, academia, and broadcasting organizations.

    Held at the 17th floor auditorium of the UNIKOM Smart Building, the event was attended by Dr. Herman Suryatman, Drs., M.Si. (Regional Secretary of West Java Province), Prof. 3 Prof. HC. Dr. Ir.  Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T. (Chair of APTISI West Java and Rector of UNIKOM), Dr. Adiyana Slamet, S.IP., M.Si. (Chair of KPID West Java), and Hardly Stefano Fenelon Pariela (Member of the Supervisory Board of TVRI).

    The activity began with opening remarks from Prof. 3 Prof. HC. Dr. Ir.  Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T. He stated that all higher education institutions must work together to build educational institutions that are adaptive and aligned with current developments in the digital era and information and communication technology (ICT). He also emphasized that this event marked a special milestone, as it was the first time KPID West Java had organized a collaboration with the Association of Indonesian Private Universities Region IV (West Java and Banten), involving universities from across Indonesia, and the first time such an event had been held in West Java Province.

    Furthermore, Prof. Eddy also hope that the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between KPID and higher education institutions, as well as partners in West Java, would provide added value for universities, particularly in supporting improvements in accreditation quality and university rankings, whether through QS Rankings, Webometrics, or other academic assessment indicators.

    Meanwhile, the Chair of KPID West Java, Dr. Adiyana Slamet, S.IP., M.Si., expressed his appreciation for the collaboration between KPID West Java and the Association of Indonesian Private Universities Region IV (West Java and Banten) in strengthening the broadcasting ecosystem in West Java. He explained that KPID West Java is ready to collaborate with universities through the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, encompassing education, research, and community service.

    According to him, this collaboration also reflects the spirit of National Awakening Day, commemorated every May 20, where the progress of an institution or program cannot be achieved optimally without synergy and support from various parties. At the end of his remarks, Dr. Adiyana also expressed appreciation and gratitude to all parties who supported the event.

    On this occasion, the Regional Secretary of West Java Province, Dr. Herman Suryatman, Drs., M.Si., delivered the keynote address and extended congratulations on Broadcasting Day in the context of regional broadcasting. He also noted that the consultation meeting served as a moment of consolidation to discuss the importance of the broadcasting ecosystem in the digital era. He further acknowledged the Rector of UNIKOM as the host, along with representatives from APTISI and KPID West Java, for sharing insights with participants regarding the challenges and strategies for strengthening broadcasting amid changing times.

    In addition, all broadcasting institutions, including public, private, and community broadcasters, were encouraged to share collective responsibility in collaborating with the West Java Provincial Government to convey development messages aimed at realizing “Jawa Barat Istimewa.” This approach must also consider the changing demographic composition of society, now dominated by Millennials and Generation Z, so that communication strategies remain relevant and capable of reaching all segments of society. 

    It was further emphasized that broadcasting should not merely prioritize entertainment-oriented content but should also emphasize educational value and guidance. In closing, Dr. Herman expressed his hope that KPID West Java, together with various stakeholders, including universities, would continue strengthening collaboration in building a healthy, adaptive, and educational broadcasting ecosystem, so that the vision of realizing “Jawa Barat Istimewa” can be achieved more rapidly.

    The event continued with the signing of a major MoU between KPID West Java, APTISI West Java, UNIKOM, and 224 partners from various universities, institutions, and other organizations. The signing symbolized a shared commitment to strengthening broadcasting literacy, media education, and the quality of public information in West Java.

    In addition to the signing ceremony, the event also featured a presentation session with the Coordinator of Institutional Affairs for the West Java Regional Broadcasting Commission, Dr. Lukman M. Fauzi, S.IP., M.Si., and Member of the Supervisory Board of TVRI, Hardly Stefano Fenelon Pariela. The discussion session was moderated by the Head of the Master’s Program in Communication Science at Universitas Komputer Indonesia, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Desayu Eka Surya, S.Sos., M.Si., CICS., and focused on the theme “The Broadcasting Ecosystem in the Digital Age.”

    As the host, UNIKOM demonstrated its commitment to supporting the improvement of media literacy and strengthening public media awareness through strategic collaboration among universities, the government, and broadcasting institutions. Through the MoU signing and seminar, APTISI West Java and KPID West Java reaffirmed their commitment to fostering sustainable collaboration to enhance public understanding of media literacy and broadcasting, while simultaneously strengthening the role of higher education institutions as centers of education and digital transformation within society.     BANDUNG, UNIKOM — On Wednesday, May 13, 2026, Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) once again achieved an academic milestone through the second Open Doctoral Promotion Session of the Doctoral Program in Management Science, Faculty of Postgraduate, UNIKOM. Held at the Auditorium on the 17th Floor of the UNIKOM Smart Building, the session featured promovendus Dr. Dhimas Tri Buana, S.E., M.M., M.Kom. who officially earned his doctoral degree after successfully defending his dissertation before the supervisory and examining committees.

    The doctoral defense was led by the Rector of UNIKOM, Prof. 3 Prof. HC. Dr. Ir. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., who served as Chair of the Session and Examiner. He was accompanied by Supervisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rahma Wahdiniwaty, Dra., M.Si., and Co-Supervisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dedi Sulistiyo Soegoto, S.T., M.T., along with the panel of examiners, including Prof. Dr. Hj. Umi Narimawati, Dra., S.E., M.Si., Prof. Dr. Muhardi, S.E., M.E., and Prof. Dr. Sutisna Muhari, S.E., M.E.

    During the open defense, the doctoral candidate, Dhimas Tri Buana, presented his dissertation entitled “The Influence of E-Service Quality on E-Loyalty through Experience and E-Satisfaction in Digital Banking Applications, Moderated by Generations X, Y, and Z (A Survey of Commercial Bank Customers in South Sulawesi Province).” The research highlights the importance of digital banking service quality in building customer loyalty through user experience and customer satisfaction in the era of digital transformation.

    The defense proceedings began with the candidate’s presentation of his research findings, followed by a question-and-answer session, rebuttals, and in-depth discussions led by the supervisory committee and the examiners. Various strategic questions regarding the research methodology, scientific contributions, and practical implications of the study for the development of the digital banking industry became central topics during the open defense.

    Based on a comprehensive evaluation conducted by the supervisory committee and the panel of examiners, Dhimas Tri Buana, S.E., M.M., M.Kom., was declared to have passed and was officially awarded the degree of Doctor of Management from the Faculty of Postgraduate. It was also announced during the session that Dr. Dhimas Tri Buana, S.E., M.M., M.Kom., is the second doctoral graduate of the Doctoral Program in Management Science at the Faculty of Postgraduate UNIKOM.

    In an interview, Prof. 3 Prof. HC. Dr. Ir. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T. expressed his appreciation for the candidate’s dedication and academic achievements throughout his doctoral studies. Prof. Eddy also explained that this open defense marked the second doctoral defense held by UNIKOM’s Doctoral Program in Management Science, with Dr. Dhimas Tri Buana, S.E., M.M., M.Kom., becoming the first graduate of the program’s second cohort. According to him, Dr. Dhimas’s success in completing his studies within 2 years and 7 months, achieving a GPA of 3.97 and graduating with Magna Cum Laude, is a remarkable accomplishment that deserves to inspire other doctoral students.

    Furthermore, Prof. Eddy expressed his hope that this achievement would motivate other students, particularly those in the first and second cohorts, to complete their studies on time with outstanding academic results and to apply the knowledge they have gained for the benefit of the community, institutions, society, and the nation. He also expressed pride in the graduation of two doctoral graduates from the UNIKOM DIM Program, namely Dr. Masduki and Dr. Dhimas, whom he considers role models of enthusiasm and dedication for doctoral students currently completing their studies.

    An atmosphere of emotion and pride marked the ceremony for the presentation of the Certificate of Passing the Doctoral Defense, followed by a group photo session with family members, the supervisory team, and the examining committee as a gesture of appreciation for the candidate’s success in completing his doctoral education.

    Meanwhile, on the same occasion, Dr. Dhimas Tri Buana, S.E., M.M., M.Kom., stated that earning a doctoral degree is not merely about the final result, but also about a long and challenging journey. He explained that his research topic is closely related to his professional background in the banking industry, a field in which he has worked for approximately 25 years. According to him, the challenges he faced during his doctoral studies were even greater because he had to pursue his education while living outside the city, specifically in Makassar, which required significant sacrifices in terms of time, energy, and commitment. Nevertheless, he believes that every challenge can be overcome through sincerity, dedication, and perseverance. Dr. Dhimas also expressed his gratitude to his family, who consistently provided support and patience while he focused on his studies until he successfully completed his doctoral education.

    Through this doctoral defense ceremony, UNIKOM once again demonstrated its commitment to producing outstanding, innovative, and globally competitive human resources by strengthening the quality of higher education, research, and academic development that is relevant to the needs of society and industry in the digital era.     BANDUNG, UNIKOM — On Monday, April 27, 2026, the Directorate of General Administration, through the Division of Functional Positions and Advanced Studies at Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM), reaffirmed its commitment to improving the quality of human resources by holding a socialization on the latest policies regarding lecturer promotion. This activity represents a strategic step in strengthening professionalism and supporting the sustainable career development of faculty members.

    The event was conducted online via Zoom Meeting and was attended by the Vice Rector II for Human Resources, and all lecturers at UNIKOM. The active participation of lecurers reflects a high level of interest in academic career development and functional rank advancement within the UNIKOM community.

    In his opening remarks, the Vice Rector II for Human Resources, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Agus Riyanto, S.T., M.T., CSBA., stated that the latest policy, referring to Decision No. 39/M/Decision/2028 concerning Technical Guidelines and Services for Faculty Career Development, marks a strategic step toward enhancing the quality and competitiveness of faculty members at the university.

    Furthermore, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Agus emphasized that university leaders is fully committed to supporting the implementation of this policy through the optimization of administrative services under the Directorate of General Administration, particularly within the Division of Functional Positions and Advanced Studies. He also highlighted ongoing efforts to strengthen internal regulations to ensure effective synergy between higher education institutions and the government. He further noted that the role of faculty members extends beyond the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, requiring targeted, systematic, and continuous development of academic and professional competencies as part of institutional quality enhancement.

    The open session was presided over by UNIKOM Rector and Chair of the West Java Association of Private Higher Education Institutions (APTISI), Prof. 3 Prof. HC. Dr. Ir. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., and marked a historic milestone as the first open senate session for the Doctoral Program in Management Science during the 2025–2026 Academic Year. During this session, UNIKOM’s First Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. H. Umi Narimawati, Dra., S.E., M.Si., also served as the supervisor, demonstrating the synergy of academic leadership in supporting the success of the doctoral program at UNIKOM.     After undergoing a rigorous and comprehensive examination process with the supervisory committee and examiners, Masduki was declared to have passed and officially holds the degree of Doctor of Management Science. This achievement also marks him as the first doctoral graduate from the Doctoral Program in Management Science at the UNIKOM Graduate School.

    During an interview, UNIKOM Rector and Chair of APTISI West Java, Prof. 3 Prof. HC. Dr. Ir. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., stated, “Alhamdulillah, on this occasion, UNIKOM held the first open defense for the first cohort of the Doctoral Program in Management Science. In this inaugural cohort, Mr. Masduki successfully graduated with a GPA of 4.00 and received a summa cum laude distinction. This is an extraordinary achievement.     During the interview, the Rector of UNIKOM and Chairman of APTISI West Java, Prof. 3 Prof. HC. Dr. Ir. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., stated, “Receiving this honor from Pikiran Rakyat and this award, and I certainly dedicate this to higher education in West Java, to APTISI West Java Province, which comprises 350 private universities working together to build higher education in Indonesia, and I also dedicate it to ABPPTSI, APPERTI, and APTIKOM.     BANDUNG, UNIKOM – A touching and solemn atmosphere enveloped the 17th-floor auditorium of the Smart Building at Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) on Tuesday, April 21, 2026. The entire leaders and academic community of UNIKOM gathered for a prayer to commemorate the late Mrs. Hj. Lasmaya’a Oli’i, Chairwoman of the Science and Technology Foundation and the beloved mother of UNIKOM Rector, Prof. 3 Prof. HC. Dr. Ir. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T. She passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at the age of 86.

    Coinciding with Kartini Day, the prayer served as a final tribute and an expression of deep condolences from the UNIKOM family for the loss of a figure known for her dedication to education. The late Mrs. Hj. Lasmaya’a Oli’i was also an inspirational figure for UNIKOM, playing a crucial role in the institution’s development and progress. Her contributions are reflected in her unwavering prayers and constant support for her son, who currently serves as Rector of UNIKOM and Chair of APTISI West Java. Her prayers, love, and sincerity formed a moral and spiritual foundation that strengthened the leadership journey and inspired progress in both the institution and the broader field of education, particularly within UNIKOM.

    Prof. 3 Prof. HC. Dr. Ir. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., expressed his gratitude in his remarks for the support and prayers received from all parties. He remembered her as a compassionate yet firm figure with a strong commitment to advancing the foundation and the field of education. “Throughout her life, she consistently instilled in her children the value of attaining the highest level of education. Thank God, her dream has been realized. Her contributions to education, like those of Indonesia’s Kartini, instilled the belief that every woman deserves a proper education so she can contribute to society and the nation. For her, education was a top priority, for her family, society, and the nation,” he said.

    Furthermore, Prof. Eddy stated that the late Mrs. Hj. Lasmaya’a Oli’i always emphasized the importance of achieving the highest possible level of education. He believes that the progress of the Indonesian nation is largely determined by the quality of its education. Therefore, this value must continue to be implemented across various educational activities, particularly within UNIKOM, APTISI, ABPPTSI, APPERTI, and higher education institutions throughout Indonesia.

    The event continued with the screening of a biographical video depicting her life and dedication, followed by a video of the tribute procession and messages of condolence from family members, relatives, and various parties. The videos revived memories of her life and highlighted her significant contributions, particularly to the development and advancement of UNIKOM.

    The emotional atmosphere deepened when the Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Prof. Dr. Hj. Dewi Kurniasih, S.IP., M.Si., recited a condolence poem as a form of respect and an expression of loss. The event then continued with an Islamic speech and prayer led by the Head of the Doctoral in Information Systems Study Program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Agus Nursikuwagus, S.T., M.T., M.M., who reflected on the wisdom of life and invited all attendees to pray for the late Mrs. Hj. Lasmaya’a Oli’i.

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM – An atmosphere of grief enveloped Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) during the funeral procession of the late Hj. Lasmaya Oli’i, Chairwoman of the Science and Technology Foundation and beloved mother of the UNIKOM Rector and Chair of APTISI West Java, Prof. 3 Prof. HC. Dr. Ir. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T. She passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at 12:05 a.m. WIB.

    Held in the main lobby of UNIKOM Smart Building, the funeral procession was solemn and deep with emotion. The family, university leaders, lecturers, educational staff, and the entire UNIKOM academic community attended the ceremony before accompanying her to her final resting place. The presence of mourners served as a final tribute and an expression of deep condolences for the loss of a figure who had made significant contributions to UNIKOM’s development.

    In a solemn atmosphere, the procession began with a prayer led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Agus Nursikuwagus, S.T., M.T., expressing hope that the late Hj. Lasmaya Oli’i would be forgiven for all her shortcomings, her good deeds would be accepted, and that she would be granted the best place by Allah SWT.

    The UNIKOM Rector and Chair of APTISI West Java, Prof. 3 Prof. HC. Dr. Ir. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., the eldest son, represented the family in remembering her as an extraordinary mother who raised her nine children with love, patience, and perseverance. According to him, thanks to her exemplary character and determination, her children grew into successful and devoted individuals who serve the nation and state. He also described her as a role model for the entire extended family. The values of patience, sincerity, and compassion that she instilled have been deeply ingrained in her children and family members.

    Prof. Eddy also apologized to the entire UNIKOM academic community for any shortcomings or unpleasant experiences during her lifetime and invited all attendees to pray for her forgiveness, the acceptance of her good deeds, and her placement in the best place by Allah SWT. In closing, he and the entire family expressed their gratitude for the prayers, support, and presence of all who came to pay their final respects. The sense of togetherness during this time of grief reflected the strong solidarity and family values within UNIKOM.

    Vice Rector II for Resources, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Agus Riyanto, S.T., M.T., CSBA., read a brief biography of the late Hj. Lasmaya Oli’i, followed by remarks from Vice Rector I for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Hj. Umi Narimawati, Dra., S.E., M.Si., representing the entire UNIKOM academic community. She conveyed that UNIKOM had lost an extraordinary figure who played an important role in the institution’s development. She described the deceased as a remarkable woman who not only successfully raised and educated her children, but also served as an inspirational figure in the advancement of education.

    Furthermore, Prof. Umi added that UNIKOM’s success is inseparable from her role and support as a founder and pioneer. She was known as a compassionate individual who consistently provided motivation and demonstrated deep concern for the advancement of education. Therefore, the entire UNIKOM academic community feels a moral responsibility to continue her legacy and uphold the values she imparted.

    Several other institutional leaders also expressed their condolences and reflected on her lifelong dedication. She was widely known as a sincere individual with a deep commitment to education and as an inspirational figure for the UNIKOM family.

    The funeral procession concluded with the burial at her final resting place in Cisarua, Jl. Ciloa Pasirhalang, West Bandung Regency. Tears and prayers accompanied her departure, leaving behind profound sorrow and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of her family and the entire UNIKOM academic community.

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM — A warm atmosphere of togetherness filled the joint Halal Bihalal event that brought together stakeholders from private higher education institutions (PTS) in West Java. The event held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, in the 17th-floor auditorium of the UNIKOM Smart Building, showcasing synergy between the Association of Indonesian Private Higher Education Institutions (APTISI) West Java, the Higher Education Service Agency (LLDIKTI) Region IV, the West Java Chapter of the Association of Private Higher Education Institutions Administrators (ABPPTSI), and the West Java Chapter of the Alliance of Indonesian Higher Education Institutions (APPERTI).

    The event began with opening remarks by the Chair of APTISI West Java and Rector of UNIKOM, Prof. 3. Prof. HC. Dr. Ir. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, MT. In his remarks, Prof. Eddy stated that holding this joint Halal Bihalal event carries strategic significance in demonstrating solidarity among the associations. He also emphasized that the event was intentionally organized collaboratively as a commitment to show university leaders and foundation chairs that the four associations remain united and steadfast in fostering unity.

    Furthermore, Prof. Eddy highlighted the importance of the synergy fostered through the slogan “Moving Forward Together, Progressing Together, and Succeeding Together.” He stated that this spirit serves as the foundation for uniting approximately 350 private higher education institutions in West Java, where leading institutions are expected to mentor and encourage developing institutions to achieve shared progress.

    On this occasion, as an appreciation, the Chair of APTISI West Java also expressed gratitude and presented certificates of appreciation to sponsors from various higher education institutions in the West Java region who supported the event’s organization, a symbol of their commitment to continue moving forward together in strengthening synergy and collaboration among higher education institutions in the West Java region.

    The Head of LLDIKTI Region IV, Dr. Lukman, S.T., M.Hum, in his remarks via a virtual video, stated that in the future, LLDIKTI Region IV will further optimize various services that are currently still pending. One of these relates to compliance with legal regulations, where April 30 is the deadline for higher education institutions to report all learning activities for the 2025/2026 semester. This is crucial to ensure that all activities under the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, particularly those involving students, are recorded and reported to the ministry through the Higher Education Data Repository.

    Additionally, the Chairman of the Central APTISI, Dr. Ir. H. M. Budi Djatmiko, M.Si., M.E.I., delivered virtual video greetings for Eid al-Fitr and offered sincere apologies, both in word and deed. Dr. Budi also explained the significance of the month of Shawwal and the importance of mutual forgiveness and giving thanks for the blessings received.

    Finally, remarks were delivered by the Chair of ABPPTSI West Java, Dr. H. Ricky Agusiady, S.E., M.M., Ak., CFrA., CHRM, who emphasized that the Halal Bihalal event is not merely an annual ceremony but must be viewed as a strategic space to strengthen synergy among higher education administrators and organizers. According to him, amidst increasingly complex global challenges and technological disruption, collaboration is the key to ensuring the sustainability and progress of private higher education institutions.

    Dr. Ricky also urged all stakeholders, including ABPPTSI, APTISI, and APPERTI, to continue strengthening collaboration based on four core pillars. First, strengthening the governance of foundations and organizations to ensure transparency, accountability, and adherence to the principles of good governance. Second, improving the quality of education by ensuring that all private higher education institutions in West Java maintain competitive and sustainable standards. Third, advancing research and innovation that not only focus on scientific publications but also provide practical solutions to community problems, particularly in West Java. Fourth, adapting to educational technology through the utilization of digital ecosystems to maintain the relevance of the learning process in the modern era.

    The highlight of the event featured a religious talk and joint prayer led by Ustad Dr. H. Aam Amiruddin, M.Si, on the theme “Purify the Heart, Strengthen Bonds, and Collaborate for High-Achieving Private Universities.” In his talk, Ustad Aam explained that wisdom encompasses deep knowledge, knowledge put into practice, and one’s ability to learn from every experience.     BANDUNG, UNIKOM – To fill the holy month of Ramadan with activities rich in spiritual values and social compassion, Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM), through Majelis Ta’lim Ashfiyatunnisa, organized the Ramadan 1447 H Religious Lecture series, combined with the distribution of charity to orphans from three orphanage foundations. The event took place on March 9, 11, and 13, 2026, at the 17th-floor Auditorium of the UNIKOM Smart Building.

    In attendance were UNIKOM Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., along with the Vice Rectors and Deans of UNIKOM, accompanied by the Chairperson of the Foundation for Science and Technology and advisor of Majelis Ta’lim Ashfiyatunnisa, Dra. Hj. Ani Astuti, S.E., as well as members of Majelis Ta’lim Ashfiyatunnisa board who played an active role in organizing the religious study session and charity event.

    In addition to the regular religious study sessions, the charity event for orphans is part of UNIKOM’s commitment to fostering a spirit of sharing and strengthening religious values within the campus community. The series of activities included religious study sessions, religious lectures, communal prayers, the distribution of charity, and concluded with iftar together in an atmosphere filled with warmth and togetherness.

    On the first day, Monday, March 9, 2026, the charity was distributed to children from the Nurani Anak Negeri Foundation, located in Kopo, Bandung City. Next, on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, the sharing activities continued with children from Panti Sosial Asuhan Anak (PSAA), located in Sarijadi, Bandung City. Meanwhile, on Friday, March 13, 2026, UNIKOM once again shared with children from the Salamiyah Foundation in Bandung City. In total, 100 children from these three foundations participated in the entire series of Ramadan activities organized by UNIKOM.

    UNIKOM Rector, Prof. Eddy, warmly welcomed the children from the orphanages who attended and expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to share happiness during Ramadan. Prof. Eddy stated that the event was intended to foster a sense of togetherness while bringing blessings to the entire UNIKOM academic community.

    Furthermore, Prof. Eddy stated that the presence of the orphaned children on campus brought a special joy to the UNIKOM family. He hoped that the bonds of friendship formed through this event would continue every Ramadan and benefit all parties involved. According to him, the prayers and the presence of the orphans on campus are expected to bring blessings to UNIKOM, both in this world and in the hereafter.

    Vice Rector II for Resources, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Agus Riyanto, S.T., M.T., CSBA., in his remarks, encouraged the children to view the month of Ramadan as an opportunity to improve themselves, enhance discipline, and cultivate a more structured lifestyle through the practice of fasting. He also explained that entering the last ten days of Ramadan is a time of great virtue and an opportunity to further improve the quality of worship.

    Dr. Agus added that the Ramadan religious study sessions organized by UNIKOM are intended to become an annual activity. Through these activities, it is expected that a closer bond will be fostered between the UNIKOM academic community and the public, particularly children from orphanages. He also expressed hope that the children present would be motivated to continue their education through college, and perhaps one day pursue their studies at UNIKOM.

    During the event held on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, the series of religious study sessions began with the recitation of Surah Yasin led by Ahmad Marfu, followed by a religious lecture and prayer delivered by Aenurofiq, S.Ag. The atmosphere of the session was solemn and filled with a sense of family, attended by the orphanage children as well as the UNIKOM academic community.

    At the closing event held on Friday, March 13, 2026, in addition to the religious lecture and the distribution of charity, the recitation of Surah Yasin was led by Ustadz M. Zein Fitri, S.Ag., M.Ag., followed by a religious lecture and prayer delivered by Ustadz Dodih Suhardih, S.Ag., M.H.

    Through the Ramadan religious lecture session and charity for orphan, UNIKOM not only provides a spiritual space for the academic community but also strengthens the university’s commitment to fostering social responsibility and sharing joy with the community during the holy month of Ramadan.
