    UNIKOM Inaugurates Two Professors In Tax Accounting And Behavior In Architecture

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM – Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) held a Senate Open Session on Thursday, February 20, 2025, in the Professor Inauguration for two academics, Prof. Dr. Siti Kurnia Rahayu, SE, M.Ak, CA, Professor of Tax Accounting, who is also the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, and Prof. Dr. Ir. Dhini Dewiyanti Tantarto, M.T., Professor of Behavior in Architecture, who is also the Head of the Architectural Engineering Study Program. The solemn event was also attended by the Head of LLDIKTI Region IV, Dr. Lukman, S.T., M.Hum., as well as university leaders and professors, lecturers, and guests from various academic, government, and industry sectors.

    After the senate procession was opened by the chairperson of the senate and the UNIKOM Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., UNIKOM’s Vice Rector I for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Hj. Umi Narimawati, DRA., S.E., M.Si., M.Pd., read the Decree (SK) of the Minister of Higher Education Science and Technology to Prof. Dr. Siti Kurnia Rahayu, SE., M.Ak., Ak.CA., and Prof. Dr. Ir. Dhini Dewiyanti Tantarto, MT., as part of the professor inauguration procession. 

    On this occasion, as an illustration of the long journey of the process passed by the two UNIKOM professors who will be inaugurated. Video profile of each professor that provides an overview of their academic journey and contribution in the world of education and research, followed by the delivery of scientific oration by the two professors. Prof. Dr. Siti Kurnia Rahayu delivered a scientific oration highlighting innovations in accounting and finance, while Prof. Dr. Ir. Dhini Dewiyanti Tantarto discussed innovations in engineering and technology.

    As a form of respect, the UNIKOM Rector, accompanied by the UNIKOM Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, paired inaugural necklaces and handed over certificates of appreciation to the two professors. In addition, souvenirs were given as a sign of appreciation for their extraordinary contributions.

    The event then continued with remarks from the UNIKOM Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T. In his remarks, Prof. Eddy thanked all the guests, especially the Head of LLDIKTI Region IV, Dr. Lukman, S.T., M.Hum., and all the professors from various institutions. He also expressed his congratulations and pride in the achievements of the two professors, Prof. Dr. Siti Kurnia Rahayu, SE., M.Ak., Ak., CA., and Prof. Dr. Ir. Dhini Dewiyanti Tantarto, M.T., “The achievement of becoming a professor for lecturers is a very dreamy thing, so the challenge that must be passed is to really carry out the Tri Dharma of higher education well, measurably, and systematically, so that it can be on time to achieve the goal of becoming a professor,” said Prof. Eddy.

    The Head of LLDIKTI Region IV, Dr. Lukman, ST, M.Hum, also appreciated the achievements of the two professors and UNIKOM’s role in advancing higher education in Indonesia. He also revealed that “Becoming a Professor or Professor is not easy, there are at least three main requirements, including: 1) Educational background which according to the law must be S3 2) Must have been at the Head Lector level. 3) Narcissistic, which means that the results of research work from the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely teaching, research and service, are published internationally. Hope that the two professors, Prof. Dr. Siti Kurnia Rahayu, SE., M.Ak., Ak., CA., and Prof. Dr. Ir. Dhini Dewiyanti Tantarto, M.T., can inspire and encourage lecturers in the UNIKOM Environment to immediately become Professors,” he concluded. 

    At this special Momentum, it was also complemented by the appearance of the families of the two professors, which added to the emotion, romance, and positive energy. Followed by a group photo session, which became a precious moment that captured the pride of the entire UNIKOM academic community.

    The UNIKOM Senate Open Session was closed by reading prayers and giving congratulations from the UNIKOM academic community to the two professors. This event is not only a milestone for UNIKOM but also an inspiration for academics and students to continue working and contributing to the world of education.

    UNIKOM International Relations Students Win First Place In Asean Future Innovators Challenge 2025 At The University Of Malaya

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM – The ASEAN Future Innovators Challenge is part of the ASEAN Student Mobility Program held in the framework of the ASEAN Universities Exhibition and Forum 2025 (AEF 2025). This program aims to encourage innovation, leadership, and collaboration among ASEAN students in overcoming regional challenges and supporting the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In the ASEAN Future Innovators Challenge, students work together to develop creative solutions to real issues faced by ASEAN countries. The activity involves innovative project development workshops, cultural exchanges, visits to local universities, and group discussions guided by experts from the host universities, one of them is the Universiti of Malaya.

    A remarkable achievement has been made by students of the International Relations Study Program (IHI), Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM), one of whom was Dinda Amalia Putri [1], a third-semester student of class 2023 who had the opportunity to attend AEF 2025 in Malaysia as a participant in the ASEAN Future Innovators Challenge competition related to SDGs, which was held from 19 to 23 February 2025. Dinda [MOU2], one of the participants from Indonesia who represented UNIKOM along with other teams from Malikussaleh University, Universiti Utara Malaysia, Kalinga State University Philippines, and Yala Rajabhat University Thailand, won first place in this prestigious competition. They presented the ASEAN Agro App innovation, an application that focuses on monitoring and managing the health of livestock affected by climate change (Climate Action), in accordance with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 13.

    This success was not achieved easily. The biggest challenge faced by Dinda and her team was the different study backgrounds that made unifying ideas a challenge. Different perspectives had become an obstacle in developing a solid innovation concept. However, through good communication, open discussion, and understanding of each member’s expertise, the team was finally able to harmonize ideas and create innovative solutions.

    “Alhamdulillah, I am very grateful to be able to participate in AEF 2025 in Malaysia as a participant in the ASEAN Future Innovators Challenge competition. Even more grateful, my team and I won first place with the ASEAN Agro App innovation. This is a valuable experience for me and provides many lessons for the future,” said Dinda.

    On this occasion, the Dean of FISIP UNIKOM, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hj Dewi Kurniasih, S.IP., M.Si., expressed her gratitude and pride for this achievement, “As the Dean of FISIP UNIKOM, I am very proud to have International Relations Study Program students who excel in the 1st winner ASEAN Future Innovators Challenge competition at Universiti Malaya. Hopefully this international achievement can be one of the supporting forces for the HI study program to excel and support UNIKOM’s ranking in the World Class University,” she said.

    Supervising lecturer and the Head of the Study Program, Dr. Dewi Triwahyuni, S.IP., M.Si., also expressed her opinion regarding the achievements of Dinda and the team: “We are very proud of the achievements made by HI Study Program student Amelia Dinda Putri C as 1st Place in the ASEAN Future Innovators Challenge at Universiti Malaya 2025. This achievement shows a significant increase in the quality of HI UNIKOM study program students who dare to pit ideas with students from well-known campuses in ASEAN countries. Hopefully the experience and achievements made by Amelia Dinda Putri C can increase the confidence of other students to compete at the international level. On behalf of the study program, we would also like to express our gratitude for the university’s support that helped us achieve this.

    This competition is part of the ASEAN Universities Exhibition and Forum 2025, which aims to encourage innovation and collaboration between ASEAN students in facing regional and global challenges. With this victory, Dinda and her team have proven that collaboration across disciplines can produce real solutions that have an impact on environmental sustainability and food security in ASEAN.

    UNIKOM Taekwondo Accomplishes Outsanding Achievement with 6 Medals at the 2025 National Championship 

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM – The Student Activity Unit (UKM) Taekwondo of Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) again made brilliant achievements at the 3rd Victory National Open Taekwondo Championship 2025. The taekwondo team managed to make history by bringing home six medals in one championship, making it the best achievement of UNIKOM Taekwondo UKM. 

    This national championship was organized with official rules from World Taekwondo, covering two main categories: poomsae and kyorugi. In the poomsae category, participants are tested in performing a series of standard movements that emphasize technique, form, and aesthetics. Meanwhile, kyorugi is a sparring match that requires speed, accuracy, and strategies to defeat opponents in a strict point system. With the participation of athletes from all over Indonesia, this championship is a prestigious event that tests the discipline and skills of each participant.

    Taekwondo coach, Satria Indra Praja Persada, S.Ds., M.M., expressed his pride for this extraordinary achievement. “Obviously I am happy and proud of UKM Taekwondo because it can continue to excel in winning various championships that make UNIKOM proud. Keep up the spirit, fighting!” he said enthusiastically.

    This achievement was not achieved instantly. The athletes undergo an intensive training process, which is divided into three stages. First, the athlete class, which was held once a week for two months before the championship. Second, regular training at B3 UNIKOM, which took place every week for three months since athlete selection. Finally, independent training is carried out in various public facilities such as Gasibu and GOR Saparua. With discipline and hard work, the athletes managed to show their best performance in the competition arena.

    Einstein, as the leader of UNIKOM Taekwondo, expressed his pride for his colleagues who had fought hard. “I am happy and proud of my colleagues and the campus who have worked together and helped us in achieving these achievements. By breaking the record of six medals in one championship, this is the first in the history of UNIKOM Taekwondo. This is not the end, but the beginning. Our next target is to bring UNIKOM’s name to the international level,” he said.

    The success of UNIKOM Taekwondo UKM in this championship cannot be separated from the contribution of talented athletes who fought hard in the competition, including: 1) Mohammad Fauzi Einstein from the Informatics Engineering Study Program 2023, 2) Bilal Malik Firdaus from the Japanese Literature Study Program 2023. 3) Ilham Bayu Samudra from the Informatics Engineering 2024. 

    This achievement is certainly a great motivation for UNIKOM Taekwondo to continue to develop and compete at a higher level. With a fighting spirit that never dies, they are ready to look at the next competition and bring UNIKOM to the international stage.

    UNIKOM International Relations Students Secure Awards At Japan Youth Summit 2025 

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM – Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) students once again achieved international recognition. 14 students from International Relations, accompanied by their supervisor, participated in the 3rd Japan Youth Summit (JYS) 2025, held on February 3-9 in Tokyo, Japan. Organized by Global Youth Ambassador (GYA), this event provided a platform for young generations to develop their potential, exchange knowledge, and contribute to international program conferences and volunteer activities. 

    The student delegation participating in JYS 2025 was led by Dr. Dewi Triwahyuni, S.IP., M.Si., the Head of the International Relations Study Program. Dr. Dewi expressed that she greatly appreciates the motivation and hard work of the students. She was proud of the achievements of the 9 students that divided into three commissions, including Best Group, Most Innovative Idea, and Best Project. She also hopes that these achievements motivate the other International Relations to participate in the international competitions.

    Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hj. Dewi Kurniasih, S.IP., M.Si., the Dean of FISIP UNIKOM, expressed her gratitude and pride: “Alhamdulillah, the student delegation of the International Relations Study Program won multiple awards in the Japan Youth Summit 2025. These achievements hopefully inspire other students to pursue international achievements.” She said.

    This event was officially opened by Hopyan Nazakki, Executive Director of Global Youth Ambassador, who emphasized the importance of this forum as a platform for young generations to develop and make a global impact.

    In this competition, 9 UNIKOM students won awards in various categories, including:

    • Best Group Award (“Digital Literacy” Category): Ghina Arindiya, Syahla Amany Fatiha, Zahra Afifah Khurrahman
    • Most Innovative Idea (“Green Technology” Category): Dara Cantika Putriadin Boer, Fatma Sania Aprilia, Pandiani Ayuningtyas Sumadi
    • Best Project (“Educational Transformation” Category): Kharisma Putri Nur Fatima, Anggia Putri Lestari, Bela Melati Sukma

    This achievement was the source of pride, as the competition was attended by 89 participants from 16 countries. The students presented their innovative projects that offered real solutions to global challenges.

    Zahra Afifah Khurrahman, a member of Commission 1 (Digital Literacy), stated, “Presenting the best solution in developing the Draft Declaration was a challenge. Being awarded the Best Group Award is proof of our hard work and dedication.” She said.

    Meanwhile, Kharisma Putri Nur Fatima from Commission 2 (Green Technology) added, “Japan Youth Summit connected me with inspiring people. Winning the Best Project Award is proof that innovative ideas can bring positive impact to society.” She expressed.

    Pandiani Ayuningtyas Sumadi from Commission 3 (Educational Transformation) also shared her experience: “This forum gives me a new insight about the importance of critical thinking and cross-cultural collaborations. Winning the Most Innovative Idea award is an extraordinary achievement,” she said.

    Participation in the Japan Youth Summit 2025 is the implementation of the International Relations Practicum Course, supervised by UNIKOM lecturers, including Prof. Dr. Hj. Aelina Surya, Dra., Dr. Dewi Triwahyuni, S.IP., M.Si., Andrias Darmayadi, Ph.D., Sylvia Octa Putri, S.IP., M.I.Pol., and Dr. Henike Priwanti, S.IP., M.I.Pol. This practicum consists of three main events:

    1. Short Diplomatic Course (SDC) – January 25, 2025, in Bandung, Indonesia, discussing refugee issues in the Global Refugees Forum.
    2. Japan 3rd Youth Summit 2025 – Februari 3-9, 2025, in Tokyo, Japan, with the theme “Next-Gen Tech: Discovering Innovation Through Technology Revolution for Accessibility and Connectivity in the AI Era.”
    3. The 5th Asia Youth Summit – Februari 23-26, 2025, in Bali, Indonesia, with the theme “Collaboration Plan and Innovative Solutions to Achieve Climate Action Goals.”

    Students’ participation in the Japan Youth Summit 2025 is expected to provide valuable experience, strengthen their international networks, and enrich academic and professional perspectives in the International Relations studies

    Visual Communication Design (DKV) Students Of Unikom Show Their Final Project Creativity At “Majang Kawani” 

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM – Students of the Visual Communication Design (DKV) and Graphic Design (DG) Study Programs of Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) again showed their talents and creativity in the thesis and final project exhibition entitled “Majang Kawani”. This event was held from March 10 to 15, 2025, in the courtyard of the Faculty of Design, 6th floor of Smart Building UNIKOM.

    This exhibition displays a variety of innovative works of odd semester students 2024/2025. Various interesting projects were exhibited, such as advertising books, illustrations, brochures, signboards, and many more. This event is not only a showcase of creativity but also a form of dedication and hard work of students in completing their final assignments. This semester’s exhibition participants were 22 thesis studies, 1 thesis creation, and 1 final project. 

    The event began with a prayer led by Irwan Tarmawan, S.Sn., M.Ds., followed by remarks from the Chief Executive and Thesis Coordinator, Deni Albar, S.Sn, M.Ds., who appreciated the hard work of students in completing their work. He expressed his hope that this exhibition could be an inspiration for other students and provide new insights for visitors.

    The Dean of the UNIKOM Faculty of Design, Prof. Dr. Lia Warlina, M.Si., then gave a speech and officially opened the exhibition. She emphasized that, “this exhibition is the beginning that must be continued, even though this design field already has competitors, Artificial Intelligence (AI), but the human touch or expert touch cannot be replaced by AI,” said Prof. Lia.

    After the official opening with a ribbon cutting, the event continued with a hospitality session. The audience was invited to enjoy the exhibition and appreciate the student works on display. This event is also expected to inspire other students to continue working and developing their talents. With “Majang Kawani”, UNIKOM continues to be committed to producing graduates who not only have academic competence but are also able to compete in the world of creative industries.

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM – The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM), held a creative content workshop entitled “Level Up Your Content” on Thursday, February 13, 2025. This event took place offline at Smart Building UNIKOM, 10th floor, room 10.010, from 09.00 to 11.00 WIB.

    This workshop aims to equip students with the skills to create quality content in the digital era. In an age where digital content is a major factor in building personal branding and business, this training is expected to provide insight and applicable techniques to participants.

    The event presented an experienced speaker, M. Febryandhika Fasha R, a 2018 TikTok Awards nominee, Peer App Indonesia Brand Ambassador, and a content creator from the Management Study Program of UNIKOM. With extensive experience in the world of creative content, Fasha shared various strategies to improve the quality and attractiveness of content created by students.

    In the workshop session, Fasha explained the importance of understanding the target audiences in the creative process. Participants were taught how to identify the right market segments based on age, location, and audience preferences. He also emphasized technical elements in content creation, such as optimal lighting, appropriate background selection, and attractive layout. Sound quality and visual resolution are also important aspects in creating more professional content.

    Fasha also discussed the utilization of data and insight analysis to increase audience engagement. Participants were introduced to various analytics tools that can be used to evaluate content performance and improve future strategies. He emphasized the importance of consistency, confidence, and positive spirit in building a loyal audience.

    The workshop was attended by 32 students and academicians from UNIKOM’s Faculty of Economics and Business, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Raeni Dwi Santy, S.E., M.Si., CIMA (Head of Management Department), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sridewi Anggadini, S.E., M.Si., Ak., CA (Head of Accounting S1), Dr. Rizki Zulfikar, S.E., M.Si (Head of D3 Marketing Management and D3 Finance and Banking), and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wati Aris. Prof. Dr. Wati Aris Astuti, S.E., M.Si., Ak., CA (Head of D3 Accounting). These academicians show full support for the development of student creativity in the field of digital content.

    High enthusiasm was seen from the active interaction of participants who asked many questions and shared experiences about the digital world. One of the participants, Rizky, a 5th semester student, revealed that the material presented was very relevant to building personal branding on social media. He thought that this workshop provided new insights that can be directly applied in daily content creation.

    Furthermore, the workshop also provided hands-on practice sessions. Participants had the opportunity to apply content creation techniques using their own devices. Fasha provided direct feedback on the participants’ work and shared tips to improve the quality of their content production. This session provides valuable experience for students.

    With this workshop, UNIKOM students are expected to be more prepared and skilled in competing in the digital field, especially in the creative industry. UNIKOM’s Faculty of Economics and Business is committed to continue organizing educational activities that are relevant to the times. In the future, UNIKOM plans to hold more trainings and seminars that discuss the latest digital trends, to prepare students for the increasingly competitive world of work. (Directorate of Hms & Pro)

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM – The Rector of Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM), Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., who is also the Chairman of the Association of Indonesian Private Universities (APTISI) West Java, attended the invitation to a seminar & dialogue at the 4th Plenary Central Management Meeting (RPPP) organized by APTISI with the theme “Together Realizing the Best Formulations and Thoughts for the Advancement of Education in Indonesia.” This activity was held from Friday, February 14, to Sunday, February 16, 2025, at Jl. Teuku Umar No.1, Lubuk Baja, Kepulauan Riau, Batam.

    At the seminar & dialogue event, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., had the opportunity to become a guest speaker. This activity is a momentum and opportunity for private universities to strengthen each other and strengthen their roles in the national education system. In his presentation, Prof. Eddy said that “the importance of building systems, building organizational culture, and leadership in making higher education institutions grow, develop, advance, and excel” said Prof. Eddy.

    The event was also attended by higher education experts including the entire Advisory Board, Board of Trustees, Advisory Board of APTISI Center, APTISI Daily Central Board, as well as all chairmen and secretaries of APTISI provinces. Various agendas were discussed at this seminar, such as strengthening APTISI institutions, improving academic quality, and strategic cooperation between private universities and various stakeholders.

    The presence of Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., as a speaker in this event shows UNIKOM’s commitment as one of the private universities that actively contributes to various academic forums and the development of higher education in Indonesia. It is expected that the seminar and dialogue organized by APTISI can be an important step to improve the quality of private higher education in Indonesia. Therefore, the active participation of UNIKOM and other private universities can provide great hope for the advancement of education in the country.     THE COMMUNICATION SCIENCE OF FISIP UNIKOM IMPLEMENTS PKM ACTIVITIES THROUGH CRISIS AND PUBLIC RELATIONS STRATEGY COURSE WITH THE THEME “BUILD YOUR FUTURE: MASTERING COMMUNICATION AND PERSONAL BRANDING FOR GEN Z” AT SMK KARTIKA XIX – 2

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM – In the midst of intense competition in the world of education, communication skills and personal branding are the main keys for the younger generation to achieve success in various fields. Realizing the importance of this, the Communication Science Study Program of FISIP Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) again carried out Community Service (PKM) activities on Friday, January 31, 2025. PKM activities were held at SMK Kartika XIX-2 Bandung with the theme “Build Your Future: Mastering Communication and Personal Branding for Gen Z during the Transition of High School Students to College Students.” This activity is an implementation of the Crisis and Public Relations Strategy (Kristrahum) course. The purpose of this PKM activity is to provide information and education to students who will continue their education to the university level in order to know the importance of personal branding and communication skills.

    In the PKM activities of Lecturers and Students at SMK Kartika XIX-2, Yenny Yuningsih, S.Pd., as Vice Principal of Curriculum, Dean of FISIP UNIKOM Assoc. Prof. Dewi Kurniasih, S.IP., M.Si., lecturer in the Crisis and PR Strategy course Dr. Desayu Eka Surya, S.Sos., M.Si., CICS., Lecturer of Communication Science Study Program, Lecturer of Government Science Study Program and Lecturer of FIKOM Unisba as well as resource person Ferra Martian, S.I.Kom., M.I.Kom.

    R. Rahma Kinasih, as the Chief Executive in this PKM activity, presented a report that “this PKM activity aims to improve communication skills and good personal branding, with a total of 22 students and members of the student council of SMK Kartika XIX – 2 Bandung, we hope that the goals benefited students and improved the human resources of the student council itself to be maximized when organizing.” She said.

    The remarks as well as the opening of the event were delivered by Dr. Desayu Eka Surya S.Sos, M.Si., CICS., as the lecturer in charge of the Kristrahum course, who expressed her gratitude to the school for being pleased to attend and warmly welcoming and facilitating PKM activities. Desayu also said that “PKM activities are part of public relations activities. This is a momentum for students of the Communication Science Study Program of FISIP UNIKOM to implement their public relations theory and practice because this ability will be able to help companies to improve, maintain, and build their organizational image, so we routinely carry out PKM activities,” said Desayu.

    On this occasion the Vice Principal of Curriculum Yenny Yuningsih, S.Pd., who represented the Principal of SMK Kartika XIX – 2, in her remarks, Yenny revealed that “We are grateful for the visit of all lecturers and students of the Communication Science Study Program FISIP UNIKOM who were present. Hopefully this collaboration and PKM activities can run successfully and our students can gain knowledge and communication skills and increase their learning motivation” she concluded. Then the event was continued with speakers from the resource person, Ferra Martian, S.I.Kom., M.I.Kom., who delivered material on how to be skilled in branding and communication during the transition of students to students. There are several important points conveyed including: 1). How to be recognized as someone who has characteristics without having to image. 2). Personal Branding. 3). How to communicate fluently. 4). Tips so as not to be afraid of public speaking.

    At the end of the event, a plaque was handed over by the Dean of FISIP UNIKOM to the school, followed by the submission of a certificate given by the Kristrahum course lecturer and handover of souvenirs by the chief executive. The event was completed with documentation session together with all participants.

    Community Service Activities (PKM) carried out by the Communication Science Study Program of FISIP UNIKOM at SMK Kartika XIX-2 Bandung is a very positive step in equipping the younger generation with communication and personal branding skills that are needed in the current globalization era.     Government Science Studenst of Unikom Conduct Study Visit And Practicum For The Regional Management Information System (Simda) Couse At The Regional Secretariat (Sekda) Of Purwakarta

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM – Students of the Government Science Study Program have conducted study visits and practicum courses in the Regional Management Information System (Simda) at the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of the Purwakarta Government. Permanent Lecturer of the Government Science Study Program Rino Adibowo, S.IP., M.I.Pol., as the Simda Course Lecturer, also escorted the departure of the students to the Regional Government of Purwakarta Regency on Friday morning, January 24, 2025.

    The Government Science Study Program of Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) has an advantage in developing government science based on Information and Communication Technology, or ICT. One of the focuses of this study program is the development of Electronic Government (E-Gov) and Regional Management Information Systems (Simda). To support this, students have the opportunity to carry out study visits and practicums directly in government institutions, and the program is an implementation of the Simda course practicum.

    This activity is carried out annually. In 2024, study visits and practicum have been carried out at the Wonosobo Government. The participation of these students is one part of the stage or process of exploring cooperation between the UNIKOM Government Science Study Program and the Purwakarta Government. The program was attended by 5th semester students as part of the practicum.

    Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nia Karniawati, S.IP., M.SI., as the Head of the UNIKOM Government Science Study Program, said that the study visit and Institutional Visit Program was an implementation of the Regional Management Information System (Simda) Course Practicum so that students could implement lecture material directly by discussing and engaging with officials in the Purwakarta Government.

    Assistant Regional Secretary for Law Government and People’s Welfare, Rahmat Heriansyah, S.Sos., M.Si., received a Study Visit and Institutional Visit from UNIKOM Government Science Study Program Students at the Janaka Hall of the Purwakarta Regional Secretariat. On this occasion the Regional Government of Purwakarta received a visit from students of the UNIKOM Government Science Study Program with a focus on the study of Electronic Government Development and Regional Management Information Systems (Simda).

    Exposure to the duties and functions of each field within the Regional Secretariat (Sekda) of Purwakarta was delivered by each Head of Section, including the Government Section, Development Administration Section and Protocol and Leadership Communication Section as well as exposure from Diskominfo Purwakarta Regency related to Electronic Government.

    The Purwakarta Regency Government continues to develop and implement information and communication technology in governance.     UNIKOM INAUGURATES STUDENT ORGANIZATION MANAGEMENT FOR THE PERIOD 2024 – 2025

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM – Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) continues to strive to increase student leadership capacity through various training and development programs. As in the momentum of the Inauguration of Student Organizations (Ormawa), which is carried out annually. The inauguration of Ormawa is the starting point for Ormawa leaders and administrators to hone their managerial, communication, and decision-making skills. UNIKOM also encourages students to actively participate in various organizational activities so that they can learn and develop optimally.

    UNIKOM carried out the Inauguration of Student Organizations, on Friday, January 31, 2025, at the Miracle Auditorium on the 4th floor of Campus I UNIKOM. The Inauguration was attended by UNIKOM Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., the vice rectors, deans, heads of study programs, and student affairs lecturers as well as the trustees and chairmen of UKM.

    The activity began with singing the national anthem Indonesia Raya and Mars UNIKOM, which was followed by all attendees solemnly. Furthermore, the reading of the Decree (SK) of the Rector of Universitas Komputer Indonesia Number: 3864 to 3886/SK/REKTOR/UNIKOM/XII/20204, which was read by the UNIKOM Director of Student Affairs, Andrias Darmayadi, S.IP., M.SI., Ph.D.

    Then after reading the Rector’s Decree, the activity continued with a symbolic inauguration marked by the installation of alma mater coats to representatives of the Student Legislative Body (BLM), Student Executive Board (BEM), Student Association (HIMA), and Student Activity Unit (UKM), followed by the reading the inauguration script by the UNIKOM Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T.

    The Oath of Office for the Chairpersons and Boards of Student Organizations was read by the Director of Student Affairs, followed by all the Ormawa Chairpersons and Managers who were present. Then continued with a documentation session with the leaders, student affairs supervisor, UKM supervisor, and all UNIKOM Ormawa representatives for the 2024-2025 period. 

    The inauguration was followed with the signing of the Inauguration Report by the UNIKOM Rector, Prof. Dr.Ir. H. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T. together with Ormawa representatives, including Ardy Kandiawan (BLM), Satya Devananta (BEM), while the signing of the UKM Inauguration Report was represented by Muhammad Pradipta Waskitha and UKM Advisor KPM Agung Nugraha, S.I.Kom, witnessed by the Vice Rector I for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Hj. Umi Narimawati, and finally the signing of the Report of the Inauguration of HIMA by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science Assoc. Dr. Ir. Herman S., MBA. together with Civil Engineering HIMA Representative Nauval Pramesta and Head of Civil Engineering Dr. Y. Djoko Setiyarto witnessed by Prof. Dr. Hj. Umi Narimawati.

    The events continued with the Symbolic Submission of the Inauguration Decree submitted by the Director of Student Affairs to all representatives of BLM, BEM, HIMA and UKM. Followed by a Symbolic Handover of Position carried out by the Head of Ormawa Period 2023 – 2024 by giving LPJ to the head of Ormawa period 2024 – 2025 witnessed by the Director of Student Affairs UNIKOM.

    The Rector of UNIKOM, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., then gave an inauguration speech while expressing gratitude to all parties involved, especially to the Vice Rector I for Academic and Student Affairs and the Director of Student Affairs, who have guided, fostered, and directed the students.  “Alhamdulillah, on this occasion we can meet and inaugurate to become administrators of UNIKOM student affairs starting from BLM, BEM, HIMA, and UKM. Now, for the representative of the 2023-2024 period, I want to thank you for running the student organization well, for providing a foundation, and various things for friends in the student environment.“ He said.Furthermore, Prof. Eddy also advised the Heads of Ormawa who had been inaugurated that “You must really emerge as outstanding individuals and carry the good name of the alma mater, and of course it can set a good example to fellow students from other universities.” He concluded. This inauguration event is expected to be an important momentum for the development of student organizations at UNIKOM, and make a positive contribution to the progress of the campus and students.
