    Implementation of PKM for Lecturers and Students of the Communication Science Study Program through Crisis and Public Relations Strategies Courses in the Form of Workshop Planning Projects at Public High School (SMAN) 1 Bandung

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM – Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) is one of the universities that always implements Community Service or PKM activities for students or lecturers. One of the UNIKOM Communication Science Study Programs through the Crisis and Public Relations Strategy course where this course focuses on Community Service. Through this course, students are taught to become agents of change who are able to overcome various social problems in society. By understanding the principles of crisis management and PR, students will be better prepared to face challenges that may happen in the future. 

    On Thursday, January 23, 2025, Lecturers and Students of the Communication Science Study Program FISIP UNIKOM carried out Community Service activities through the Creative Project Planning Workshop with the theme “Building Future Smart Project Planning: Building a Generation Skilled in Planning and Executing Activities”. This PKM activity was carried out at SMA Negeri 1 Bandung City which is located at Jl. Ir. H. Juanda No 93 Bandung City. This activity is an application of the crisis and PR strategy course. The event was attended by the SMAN 1 Bandung School, namely Doni Ahdiantan as the advisor of the Osis who represented the Principal Tuti Kurniawati, M.Pd., Komaruddin as the staff in the field of discipline and Mrs. fitriani pratami, S.pd., Gr as Student Affairs.  On this occasion also attended the Dean of FISIP UNIKOM Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dewi Kurniasih, S.IP. M.SI., Dr. Manap Solihat M.SI as Head of the Communication Science Study Program and Dr. Desayu Eka Surya S. Sos., M.SI. CICS as the lecturer of Crisis and PR Strategy course, as well as Lecturers of Communication Science Study Program. 

    The agenda of the activity was opened by the MC and began with singing the National Anthem Indonesia Raya, followed by a video glimpse of UNIKOM and the reading of prayers which formed part of the opening of events. Furthermore, welcome greetings by the Chief Executive of the Event Nuke Puri Herminanti reported that in this activity, student council members will be equipped with skills to develop fresh and relevant new ideas and increase efficiency in every stage of activity planning. This workshop is not only to teach the basics of planning, but also to refine the practices they have mastered, so that every event designed can be more creative, innovative, and provide memorable experiences for all participants. By attending this workshop, student council members are expected to increase their professionalism and creativity in managing events. They will learn how to optimally utilize resources, adapt to the needs of today’s youth, and create events that are not only memorable, but also have a positive impact on the school community and wider society.

    The next event was a speech by the Lecturer of Crisis and PR Strategy Course Dr. Desayu Eka Surya. In her remarks, Dr. Desayu revealed that the workshop carried out was the implementation of the role of students who were likened to a PR from a company that implemented itself to benefit the surrounding community or public, in this case partnering with SMAN 1 Bandung. Dr. Desayu also added that “The workshop conducted can also be a direct practice for students in lobbying through positive interaction and communication to the public, designing a PR program, learning how to work together with Team Work, students practice according to the job obtained and of course what is very expensive is that students are useful for the Osis SMAN 1 Bandung management, especially Sharing on how to plan a creative project” She concluded. At the end of her speech she thanked all participants involved in this activity especially SMAN 1 Bandung. 

    The second speech was continued by the Principal Tuti Kurniawati, M.Pd. who was represented by the Supervisor of the Osis Doni Ahdiatna S.Pd. He revealed that “We SMA Negeri 1 Kota Bandung are grateful for the visit from UNIKOM, we are happy that the lecturers and students of the UNIKOM Communication Science Study Program want to share their experiences and knowledge with the students of SMAN 1 Kota Bandung”. Said Doni.

    The third speech was Dr. Manap Solihat M.SI as the Head of the UNIKOM Communication Science Study Program, in his remarks he explained briefly about the UNIKOM Communication Science study program which has been accredited by the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA). Dr. Manap also mentioned that “many courses in our study program use Outcome Based Education (OBE) based curriculum where the final project is made” he concluded. 

    After the remarks from the Head of the Study Program, continued with remarks as well as the opening of the event by the Dean of FISIP UNIKOM Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dewi Kurniasih, S.IP. M.SI., in her remarks Assoc Prof. Dewi thanked SMANSA 1 Bandung “Thank you to the host in this case, the Principal, teachers and staff of SMANSA who have been willing to organize this activity, I hope this activity will be the beginning of good cooperation and later the younger siblings here can also join later at UNIKOM”. She said. 

    After the speech procession, the event continued with the submission of a plaque given by the Dean of FISIP UNIKOM, followed by the submission of a Goodie bag given by the Chairperson of the Communication Studies Program and the submission of a partner award certificate given by the lecturer in charge of the crisis course and PR strategy to the school. Finally there was the submission of souvenirs given by the Chief Executive to the school. After the event, a documentation session was held together with all participants who attended the activity. After the documentation, then entered the main event which was carried out within three hours with presenters namely Muhammad Yasyfa Kusumadinata and Nuke Puri herminanti. The material contains sharing the management of a project, followed by the practice of planning activities. 

    At the end of the event, certificates of appreciation were given to the speakers, chairman and vice student council of SMAN 1 Bandung. The event was then closed with the distribution of practical prizes to the participating groups. 

    The activity is a concrete example of the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, especially community service. This activity is not only beneficial for high school students, but also provides an opportunity for UNIKOM students to apply the knowledge they learn. (Directorate of Hms & Pro)

    Strengthening Students Competence in the Faculty of Economics and Business through Non-Academic Activities

    Bandung, February 1, 2025 – The study programs under the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) – UNIKOM, including Bachelor of Management, Bachelor of Accounting, Vocational Accounting, Vocational Finance and Banking, and Vocational Marketing Management, continue to improve the quality of their students through various strategic programs. One of the initiatives is the implementation of Penerapan Sistem Penilaian Aktivitas Kemahasiswaan (SPAK), the Student Activity Assessment System, which was held on Saturday, February 1, 2025. Through this system, students in each study program are assessed based on both academic achievements and non-academic activities, such as extracurricular and soft skills development relevant to the professional world. 

    This event was attended by students and the Heads of Study Programs within FEB, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Raeni Dwi Santy (Head of Management Study Program), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sridewi Anggadini (Head of Accounting Study Program), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wati Aris Astuti (Head of Vocational Accounting), and Dr. Rizky Zulfikar (Head of Vocational Finance and Banking and Vocational Marketing Management), all of whom fully supported the implementation of the system.

    On this occasion, Dr. Andrias Darmayadi, M.Si., Ph.D., Director of Student Affairs of UNIKOM, stated that SPAK is a strategic approach in measuring student participation in extracurricular activities and developing soft skills, which are important in the professional world.

    “SPAK is here to provide appreciation and encouragement for students to be more active in non-academic activities. This is an important step in developing graduates who are adaptive, innovative, and equipped with the competencies needed in the industry,” said Dr. Andrias Darmayadi.

    Prof. Dr. Siti Kurnia Rahayu, the Dean of FEB UNIKOM, supports this commitment to improving student quality. She emphasized that the organizational culture within the faculty is strongly influenced by strategic commitments and leadership.

    During the discussion, it was explained that SPAK is a mandatory assessment standard for students before they can take their final project and thesis. This system consists of three aspects, including (1) Reasoning, which includes academic activities, research, and intellectual development; (2) Skills and Interests, which includes participation in organizations, arts, sports, and competitions; and (3) Religion and Social Community, which aims at fostering social awareness and contribution to religious activities. SPAK classifies student activities into “Mandatory” and “Elective” activities, with the requirement that students must achieve a minimum cumulative score. Activity is reported periodically each semester through the SPAK Information System, which requires students to upload evidence such as certificates of their achievements.

    In this event, students also gained practical insight about how SPAK can help them build a better portfolio to increase their competitiveness in the workplace. 

    By implementing SPAK, FEB UNIKOM hopes that students understand the importance of integrating academic achievement and soft skills development. This implementation represents the commitment of FEB UNIKOM to produce graduates who are not only competent in their study fields but also in professional and social aspects.

    UNIKOM Conducts Benchmarking with UCIC Cirebon, Strengthening Collaboration to Enhance Educational Quality

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM – Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) held a Benchmarking activity with Universitas Catur Insan Cendekia (UCIC) Cirebon on Thursday, June 26, 2025. This event serves as a concrete manifestation of the Cooperation Agreement and Memorandum of Agreement (MoA), as well as the implementation of synergy between the two institutions. The primary goal is to improve the management of the Faculty of Information Technology at UCIC as well as student affairs aspects.

    The UCIC comparative study team, consisting of 131 students and 22 lecturers (including the Dean, Head of the Student Affairs Bureau, and representative lecturers from each study program), was warmly welcomed by the UNIKOM Directorate of Public Relations and Protocol Team. The activity focused on two main areas: Study Program Curriculum Benchmarking held in Meeting Room L.030 and a Student Affairs presentation at the Miracle Auditorium, 4th Floor, UNIKOM Campus I.

    The first session, held in Meeting Room L.030, Smart Building Lobby, began with remarks from the Acting Director of Public Relations & Protocol at UNIKOM, Dr. Desayu Eka Surya, S.Sos., M.Si., CICS. She stated, “On this special occasion, we are deeply honored by the presence of everyone here, especially the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering of UCIC Cirebon, Mr. Marsani Asfi, S.Si., M.Si., along with the leadership and team.”

    Dr. Desayu emphasized that UNIKOM remains committed to strengthening collaboration, driven by the spirit of UNIKOM’s work culture: PIQIE (Professionalism, Integrity, Quality, IT, and Excellence). “For us, these values are not just a slogan, but the foundation of our every step in maintaining professionalism, upholding integrity, honesty, and truth, while ensuring that quality, technological innovation, and excellence remain our top priorities,” she added. She also elaborated on UNIKOM’s profile, brief history, and its vision and mission towards becoming a World Class University (WCU).

    The event continued with remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology at UCIC, Marsani Asfi, S.Si., M.Si., who expressed his gratitude to UNIKOM for the warm welcome and preparation. He stated that through this benchmarking activity, UCIC hopes to gain substantial understanding and insights regarding the development of study programs at UNIKOM. He also presented the history and vision-mission of UCIC.

    Meanwhile, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science (FTIK) UNIKOM, who also serves as Vice Rector III for Research, Innovation, and Accreditation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Herman S. Soegoto, MBA., expressed his hope that through this activity, UNIKOM can share valuable lessons, particularly in the IT field, while also continuing to learn from UCIC. The event proceeded with an interactive discussion on study program management between the two institutions, guided by moderator Arif Try Cahyadi, M.Ds., Head of the Public Relations and Public Communication Information Division at UNIKOM.

    A pivotal moment in this session was the signing of the MoA and Minutes of Meeting between the Dean of FTIK UNIKOM, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Herman Soegoto, MBA., Head of the Informatics Management Study Program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Agus Nursikuwagus, S.T., M.M., M.T., the Dean of FTI UCIC, Marsani Asfi, S.Si., M.Si., the Dean of the Faculty of Design UNIKOM, Prof. Dr. Lia Warlina, M.Si., and the Head of the Graphic Design Study Program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rini Maulina, S.Sn., M.Sn., followed by the exchange of souvenirs. Intensive Q&A sessions regarding the study program curriculum and the signing of benchmarking documents were the main agenda, involving the Heads of Study Programs from both universities.

    In parallel, the student affairs session was held at the Miracle Auditorium, 4th Floor, UNIKOM Campus I. The event was opened with remarks by the Director of Student Affairs at UNIKOM, Andrias Darmayadi, S.IP., M.Si., Ph.D., and the Head of the Student Affairs Bureau at UCIC, Amroni, S.E., M.M. This session included the exchange of souvenirs and a sharing session between student affairs lecturers from UCIC and UNIKOM, including Tiara Khodijah, M.Ds., and Dzulfiqar Fickri Rosyid, M.Ds., as lecturers of the DKV Study Program at UCIC.

    The final part of the student affairs session featured a sharing of activities and work programs between UCIC Student Organizations (HIMA DKV, HIMA MI, HIMATIF, HIMASI) and UNIKOM Student Organizations (HIMA SI, MI, DKV, and IF), which is expected to generate collaborative ideas for future student development.

    The entire series of comparative study activities concluded with a documentation session and a campus visit, providing participants the opportunity to see UNIKOM’s facilities and campus environment firsthand. This comparative study is expected to become a strong foundation for both universities to continue collaborating in efforts to improve the quality of education, particularly in information technology and student development, to produce excellent and competitive graduates.

    International Community Service and Social Responsibility: UNIKOM and UNIKU Promote the Utilization of IT-Based Management Science for MSMEs

    Bandung, UNIKOM – Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM), in collaboration with Universitas Kuningan (UNIKU), held an International Community Service and Social Responsibility event themed “The Implementation of IT-Based Management Science in Improving the Performance of MSME” on September 26, 2024. Taking place at the Sindangjawa Meeting Hall, Sindangjawa Village, Kuningan Regency, this event served as a platform for academic and practical discussions aimed at optimizing the application of technology-based management science to enhance the competitiveness of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

    The event featured Prof. Dr. Ir. H. M. Yani Syafei, M.T., CSBA., Head of the Doctoral Program in Management Science at UNIKOM, as one of the keynote speakers. In his presentation, he emphasized that the implementation of information technology in MSME management is key to improving operational efficiency, ensuring more accurate decision-making, and expanding market access. According to him, MSMEs that successfully adopt technology will be better prepared to face global competition and shifting economic dynamics.

    Furthermore, the event presented Abdisamad Abdirahman Omar, Ph.D., Director of the African Institute for Multidisciplinary Studies (AIMS) Somalia, who is also a lecturer at the University of Hargeisa, Somalia, and a researcher at Ankara Haci Bayram Veli University, Turkey. In his session, he highlighted how data-driven technology, the Internet of Things (IoT), and Blockchain can assist MSMEs in improving supply chain efficiency and ensuring transparency in their business operations. He stated that digitalization in business is no longer a choice, but a necessity for MSMEs to survive and thrive in the digital era.

    Also in attendance was Dr. Hj. Lili Karmela Fitriani, M.Si., Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business at UNIKU, who provided an academic perspective on the importance of synergy between the education sector and the industry to advance the MSME sector. She stressed that universities play a strategic role in providing mentorship and education to MSME practitioners, enabling them to become digitally literate and capable of maximizing technology usage.

    This activity was not only a forum for knowledge sharing but also opened opportunities for collaboration between academics, students, and industry players to develop more effective MSME digitalization strategies. Participants also benefited from networking opportunities, new experiences in the application of IT-based management science, and e-certificates as a token of appreciation for their participation.

    Through this event, UNIKOM and UNIKU reaffirmed their roles in driving technology-based innovation to support MSME development. It is hoped that the synergy between academics and practitioners will continue, creating concrete solutions to strengthen the MSME sector in Indonesia.

    UNIKOM Collaborates With Red Hat Academy To Hold Workshop Themed “Limitless Open – Source Innovation”

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM – In order to bridge the gap between academia and industry, UNIKOM and Red Hat Academy collaborated to empower the current generation of IT professionals to make a significant impact on the global technology landscape. Red Hat Academy is an academic training program specifically designed to help educational institutions, such as universities and colleges, prepare their graduates to become competent IT professionals who are ready to face the challenges of the workforce. The program provides free access to high-quality Linux-based and open source curriculum and learning materials, directly from Red Hat, one of the world’s leaders in open source solutions.

    On Friday, January 24, 2025, Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) held a workshop in collaboration with Red Hat Academy. This workshop was held in Room 10.010 on the 10th Floor of UNIKOM Smart Building. This event starts at 08.30 – 11.00 WIB with the theme “Limitless Open-Source Innovation”. Participants of this workshop were students from Computer Engineering, Informatics Engineering and 5th semester Information Systems. In addition, this workshop was also attended by Vice Chancellor 4 for Digital Technology & ICT Prof. Zainal Arifin Hasibuan, MLS, Ph.D., Director of International Program Dr. Senny Luckyardi, SP, MM, Head of Computer Engineering Study Program Dr. Susmini I. Lestaringati, MT. and Head of International Class & Training Division Angga Friyanto, S.kom., MT.

    This Workshop activity was opened by the MC from the UNIKOM KPM Team which began with singing the National Anthem Indonesia Raya and UNIKOM Mars. The first welcome greetings were made by Prof. Zainal Arifin Hasibuan, MLS, Ph.D. In his remarks Prof. Zainal explained that “This workshop is a form of activity where our students, our lecturers must be brought closer to the industry, Red Hat is an engine in IBM technology that can drive various kinds of components, applications, interfaces and so on, including various components in computers, so the need for IT personnel or those skilled with Red Hat is a lot not only in Indonesia but in the world” he said.

    Prof. Zainal further expressed his hope that “Hopefully with the presence of the Red Hat Academy workshop this morning, hopefully it will be a good start for students, and for UNIKOM, and for this nation to introduce technology whose arena is not local, not national but global” he concluded.

    The second speech was delivered by the Red Hat Academy Indonesia Representative, as well as the moderator of this workshop event, Putri Ananda, who explained about Red Hat and explained the importance of this collaboration, stating, “It’s great that today we can hold a guest lecture with Red Hat and UNIKOM. Our goal with this guest lecture is to share and inspire and equip UNIKOM students with the skills needed to develop in this industry. With this activity, hopefully we can collaborate even more closely with UNIKOM to succeed together in the future and create a community that supports growth and innovation.” She said.

    The workshop was continued with material presented by Fajar Faturrahman, as a resource person from Associate Principal Solution Architect Red Hat Indonesia. He presented material about how Opensource technology can help in innovating further and the use of Opensource for the IT and Business world.

    After the presentation of the first material, continued with the material presented by the second speaker, Arief Rahman Hakim as Technical Director of PT. Dasa Apriliando Sentosa, he is also a UNIKOM graduate or alumni. In this event he presented material about IT career preparation, this material includes how to prepare yourself for students to be able to have a career and work in the IT industry and Digital Talent.

    Furthermore, the series of Workshop events ended with a question and answer session by the moderator with the participants and then closed by the MC. Then this Workshop activity was closed with a documentation session together with all participants of the Red Hat Academy Day Workshop activities.

    The conclusion of this Workshop activity is that students gain valuable insight into the technology needed and best practices and Global Opportunities with a focus on global technologies such as Red Hat Academy which puts graduates in the right position for international careers as well as Community Building because this event fosters a sense of community among students, alumni, and industry professionals.     UNIKOM and Yeongsan University Collaborate to Hold an International Seminar Discussing the Era of Artificial Intelligence AI Titled ‘Singularity: How to Cope with it?”

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM – On Friday, January 24, 2025, Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) together with Yeongsan University (YSU), South Korea conducted a special collaboration by presenting an international academic seminar titled: “Singularity: How to Cope With it?”. At this event, great speakers were present including Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto MT as Rector of UNIKOM Indonesia, Prof. Dr. Bu Gu-Wuck as President of YSU South Korea, Prof. Zainal Arifin Hasibuan, MLS, Ph.D as Vice Rector 4 for Digital Technology & ICT, International Program & Center of Excellence UNIKOM, Rodi Hartono, ST., MT., Ph.D. as Head of UNIKOM Robotics Division and also Representatives of YSU & UNIKOM partner universities. The speakers at this event discussed the challenges and opportunities in the era of artificial intelligence (AI) and technological singularity.  

    The event was opened by MC from the Younsan University team. Then opened with the first material by the Rector of UNIKOM Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto MT. In delivering his material, Prof. Eddy explained about the development strategy of AI-based higher education as well as threats and opportunities. Prof. Eddy also explained the vision in realizing the development of higher education based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) that is inclusive, adaptive, and sustainable, where AI technology is used to personalize learning, improve operational efficiency, and expand access to global education. In addition, Prof. Eddy also explained UNIKOM’s cultural values, namely PIQIE: 1) Professionalism. 2) Integrity 3) Quality, 4). Excellence, 5). Information Technology (ICT),

    Prof. Eddy further concluded that “Embracing AI-driven strategies is essential for the advancement of higher education. By harnessing the power of AI, institutions can improve learning outcomes, streamline operations, and prepare students for a dynamic future. On the other hand, Universities need to take action to overcome the singularity” he concluded.

    The second material was delivered by Rodi Hartono, ST, MT, Ph.D. The material he delivered was about how to utilize Artifical Intelligence (AI) and how to overcome AI in the singularity era. Some of the main points presented were: 1) Resource Optimization: AI solutions to save resources in the midst of rapid technological growth, Example: Smart grids, precision agriculture, and sustainable manufacturing. 2). Environmental Impact Mitigation: Reducing the carbon footprint of AI infrastructure and Investing in AI systems powered by renewable energy. 3). Equitable Access: Ensure AI technologies benefit all communities and Promote global collaboration for shared sustainability goals. 4). Ethical Governance: Building trust and transparency in AI systems and Creating policies to align AI development with sustainability priorities

    Meanwhile, the next material was delivered by Prof. Zainal hasibuan, Ph.D who explained about The Power of AI to Improve the Quality of Higher Education: A New Direction Towards Personalized Learning. Prof. Zainal gave the main points in his material, namely that AI as an agent of change: 1). Growing large data sets will improve learner patterns and characteristics, 2). Driven learning materials will adjust and match learner behavior. 3). Automated intelligent monitoring will strengthen learner and teacher interaction. 4). The system becomes smarter over time and more singular. 5). AI-based Personalized Learning changes the learning paradigm from: teacher-centered learning to student-centered learning.

    The last material was delivered by Assoc Prof, Na Hoon Park, Ph.D as a representative from Yeongsan University, South Korea (Ys’U) who presented material about: 1) Introduction of Ys’U Extracurricular Program. 2). Steiner World School (Waldorf education, Steiner education) 3). Singularity University. 4) Humanitarian Status Contest – Smile Festival. The press seminar then ended with a Q&A session with the participants.

    It is hoped that this seminar will provide a comprehensive insight into the role of AI in higher education, challenges and opportunities in the singularity era, as well as the importance of personalized learning and character development.     Increasing the Anticipation of Plagiarism, Unikom Holds Socialization of Turnitin Usage

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM – Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) remains committed to creating an honest and quality academic environment. As an effort to prevent plagiarism among the academic community, UNIKOM through the Directorate of AP2SC and UPT Plagiarism & AI Similarity held a socialization on the use of Turnitin, one of the world’s leading plagiarism detection tools. The event was attended by journal managers and Heads of Study Programs within UNIKOM on Thursday, January 23, 2025.

    This socialization activity aims to provide a deeper understanding of the importance of scientific work and how to effectively use Turnitin as a tool in ensuring that the work produced is free from plagiarism. This socialization was aimed at journal management lecturers in study programs in the UNIKOM environment.

    Director of AP2SC, Bobi Kurniawan, ST, M.Kom, in his speech thanked the Instructors who had taken the time to attend the socialization of the use of Turnitin which was held in a hybrid. “We plan to socialize the use of Turnitin regularly every semester, considering that the use of Turnitin in UNIKOM still needs to be improved. In fact, there are still those who forget how to use it. Plus, in 2024, Turnitin changed the terms of use, such as limiting paper checking per account, where one Student account can only check three papers per day,” he said.

    In this socialization session, participants were also reminded of how to access Turnitin, how to utilize plagiarism detection reports, and guidelines for producing original and quality scientific work. The Head of UPT Plagiarism & AI Similarity, Wildan Zulfikar, S.T, said that this program is in line with UNIKOM’s vision to advance higher education with quality and integrity in Indonesia.

    The socialization which took place on the 11th Floor, Room 11.010 Smart Building UNIKOM is expected to increase the awareness of lecturers and students about the importance of academic honesty and the use of appropriate technology to support higher quality research and scientific work.     BANDUNG, UNIKOM – Benchmarking between universities is an activity that aims to compare the performance, practices, or processes of a university with other universities that are recognized as excellent in their fields. The purpose of this activity is to identify strengths and weaknesses, and adopt best practices to improve the quality of education and services provided. One of the benchmarking activities carried out was between Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) and Universitas Pelita Bangsa (UPB).

    On Wednesday, January 22, 2025, the Directorate of Research, Service, and Community Empowerment (DP3M) of UNIKOM together with the Directorate of Research and Community Service (DP2M) of UPB held a benchmarking event which was also equipped with the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA). The event took place in Room L.030, 1st Floor of UNIKOM’s Smart Building.

    Director of DP3M UNIKOM, Irawan Afriyanto, ST, MT, in his welcome greetings said, “Alhamdulillah, this is the first visit for our Directorate. Thank you for choosing us as a place for benchmarking and cooperation. Hopefully in the future we can do research and community service together.” he said. 

    The Director of DP2M UPB also expressed his gratitude to UNIKOM, “We thank UNIKOM for welcoming us warmly. Our goal at UNIKOM is to learn about the management of research and community service and collaborate in other fields with UNIKOM which has achieved extraordinary achievements.” he concluded.

    The event then continued with the signing of the MoA by the Director of DP3M UNIKOM, Irawan Afriyanto, ST., MT, and the Director of DP2M UPB, in the presence of the Directors and Heads of Study Programs from each University.

    The discussion session took place warmly, where UPB asked various questions to UNIKOM regarding the management of research and community service. This discussion was very productive and friendly, UNIKOM also shared experiences regarding various achievements and strategies in achieving these goals.

    This benchmarking visit created a great opportunity for collaboration between UNIKOM and UPB in the field of research and community service. Through the signing of the MoA, both parties agreed to exchange knowledge and experience to improve the quality of education and contribution to society.     BANDUNG, UNIKOM – On Monday, January 20, 2025, the Community Service Division (DP2M) of the Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) held a socialization event for all lecturers within UNIKOM. The socialization was conducted online and was attended by 68 participants.


    The event started with a welcome speech by the MC, followed by a presentation by the Head of DP2M Division, Dr. Tatik Fidowaty, S.IP., M.Si. In her presentation, Dr. Tatik explained several programs that are part of the UNIKOM Internal P2M Scheme/Program, including: 1) Community Partnership Program (PKM), 2) Entrepreneurship Development Program (PPK), 3) Partner Village Development Program (PPDM), 4) Application of Science and Technology to the Community Program (PPIM), 5) International Partnership Service Program (PPKI).


    Dr. Tatik also stated that “these programs aim to create and develop new entrepreneurship and build collaboration between the campus and the community. This allows both lecturers and students to collaborate with the wider community, both inside and outside campus, in order to develop businesses that can have a positive impact.”


    Furthermore, Dr. Tatik also explained the Village Development Program, which aims to help accelerate the village economy through downstreaming and multidisciplinary research that will improve the quality and quantity of villages for mutual progress.


    After the presentation, the event continued with a discussion and Q&A session, where participants could delve deeper into the various programs offered. This socialization event is a strategic step in enhancing understanding and engagement of the UNIKOM academic community in the Community Service (P2M) program for 2025. The programs offered are expected to encourage wider collaboration between the campus and the community and play an active role in supporting the development of entrepreneurship and village economies for mutual progress.     BANDUNG, UNIKOM – The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) continues to show their commitment to producing global quality graduates through excellent programs. One of the latest is the collaboration between FEB and the Directorate of International Affairs and Cooperation UNIKOM in introducing the Undergraduate Student Fastrack Program to Dayeh University, Taiwan.

    The program socialization event was held in a hybrid manner on Friday, January 17, 2025, by presenting various important speakers. Dean of FEB, Prof. Dr. Siti Kurnia Rahayu, SE., M.Ak., Ak., CA, and Director of International Affairs and Cooperation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Inta Budi Setya Nusa, SE., M.Ak, and Dr. Salmon, ST., MT, opened the discussion by explaining the great opportunities for UNIKOM students to continue their international studies through this fastrack route.

    This program was also directly supported by Mr. Daniel, Director of International Office and Affairs from Dayeh University, Taiwan. He explained the advantages of Dayeh University as one of the leading higher education institutions in Taiwan that offers various excellent programs for international students. In addition, Mr. Aqilas, an intern student at UNIKOM’s Directorate of International Affairs, also shared his experiences related to this international program.

    In order to provide more real proof, this event also featured I Gede Windra Evayana, Head of the Indonesian Student Association at Dayeh University as well as a fastrack program participant, and Christiano DYU, a student who is currently undergoing a fastrack program. Both shared inspiring stories about the experience of studying in an international environment and how the program has opened the way to a global career.

    Through the fastrack program, FEB UNIKOM undergraduate students get the opportunity to accelerate their education by continuing their studies at Dayeh University. This program is part of UNIKOM’s big vision to become a World Class University, bridging students with a wider international network.

    With full support from FEB and the Directorate of International Affairs, students who take part in this program can access comprehensive information, guidance and administrative support. The hybrid event format also allows students who attend, both online and offline, to interact directly with the expert, ensuring transparency of information without fabrication.
