    Authors: Mauluddin S, Sidik R

    DOI: 10.1088/1757-899X/879/1/012055

    Abstract

This research intends to carry out forward engineering of the student mark recapitulation application in the information systems department, Universitas Komputer Indonesia. The forward engineering is the final step of the reengineering process in the mark recapitulation application. Re-engineering is done because the student mark recapitulation application cannot function properly. This re-engineering used the big bang approach, which is to rebuild or change the entire existing system, while the forward engineering stage follows the stages of the general model of re-engineering software, namely conceptual, requirements, design, and implementation. The conceptual and requirements stages have been carried out in previous reverse engineering research, so that in the forward engineering the research phase will start from the design stage then proceed to the implementation phase. The programming language in the existing application uses visual basic and the new application will be rebuilt using the java programming language. The results of this study are the student mark recapitulation application which has nine functions, namely lecture management, curriculum management, student management, import mark, mark management, system settings, temporary transcript printing, final transcript printing, and graduation certificate printing. Based on the results of tests on several computers with different operating systems, this application can function properly as expected. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

    DOI: 10.1007/s44150-023-00098-5

    Abstract

Construction Automation and Robotics is the anticipated technology to overcome productivity issues and work accidents. This research aims to analyze the implementation of Construction Automation and Robotics at Indonesian Construction SOEs from the perspective of real project implementation based on project life cycle, comparison with best practices, and potential uses, through the qualitative-comparative analysis of the literature as well as questionnaires and in-depth interviews. It attempts to report how this technology is implemented in Indonesia as a comparison tool for other countries. This research identifies that seven Indonesian Construction SOEs have been using Construction Automation and Robotics technology, where Drones, Virtual Reality, and Prefabrication and Modularization are the most popular and mostly implemented in the construction phase. Compared to best practices, those implementations are still in the adoption stage. It has not reached its full potential through the development stage due to insufficient collaboration between contractors, technology companies, and universities. Although the construction market in Indonesia has not directly demanded in-project applications, this technology is potentially considered to improve the completion of construction projects, especially the interaction prospects of Digital Twin and BIM. This study provides complete positional information on Construction Automation and Robotics type in the project life cycle in theory and practice as a benchmark for construction technology research. This study fills the research gap and pioneers Indonesia’s Construction Automation and Robotics implementation research in international journals by providing the latest and comprehensive overview and comparing it to good practices from the USA and China. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2023.

    Abstract

Schoemaker is the first Professor of Architecture in Indonesia. His works are the basis of modern architectural design in Indonesia. The the aim of this work is to find out Schoemaker’s concepts through scruntinizing the facades of his work. An architectural survey method is used in collecting the architectural data among several Schoemaker’s buildings in Bandung. Artifact measuring is conducted to build the 3D models of each of his building works, to analyze the architectural thinking of his. The result is showing that Schoemaker is using many concepts of early Dutch Architects used, including the Indo-European Architecture, the Art Deco and in time, combining it with the ornaments, materials, and patterns of local tradition. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Prototype of E-Document Application Based on Digital Signatures to Support Digital Document Authentication

    Authors: Afrianto I, Heryandi A, Finandhita A, Atin S

    DOI: 10.1088/1757-899X/879/1/012042

    Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop a prototype of a web-based application that can be used to provide digital signatures on files or digital documents. This prototype uses a digital signature mechanism issued by the Ministry of Communication and Information of the Republic of Indonesia (KOMINFO). The results of the research conducted by using the alpha test showed that all functionalities in the application have been able to run well. While the authentication test shows that any changes made to a document that has a digital signature will invalidate the digital signature, which means that there are attempts to falsify documents and their authenticity can be identified. This is because in documents that have the digital signature will have a certain hash value which if the document is changed or modified, then the hash value will change. This is what determines whether a document is still original or has been modified its contents, namely by comparing the hash value contained in the document. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

  • Synomorph of Behaviour Setting in Architecture Enhance the Green Design

Synomorph of Behaviour Setting in Architecture Enhance the Green Design

    Author: Wanita Subadra Abioso

    DOI: 10.1088/1757-899X/879/1/012159

    Abstract

This paper intends to discover how the synomorph of behaviour setting in architecture could enhance the green design, with respect to space usage satisfaction and idleness of space. This research carried out through desk study and descriptive methods, as continuation of author earlier researches. Behaviour setting of a space exists as soon as a synomorph (same in structure and shape) between standing pattern of behaviour of user and physical milieu of space meet in circumjacent, a kind of fittingness. Barker developed behaviour-setting theory to explain small – scale social system, as well as the study of behaviour in its natural environment. Barker defines behaviour setting as independent units of space, with temporal and spatial boundaries, that have great coercive power over the behaviour that occur within them. The synomorph occurs in a behaviour setting offering fittingness between behaviour and the setting that could enhance the setting. The aim of this study encourages the architects to always consider to achieve synomorph in their space designs; the synomorph besides could increase space user’s satisfaction as well the value of spaces so that architects could avoid the idle space as one of codes in the green design. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

    DOI: 10.1088/1757-899X/879/1/012172

    Abstract

This study aims to identify waste, calculate the value of waste that occurs and provide suggestions for improvement to reduce waste. VSM describes the production flow and waste information that occurs, while WAM is the method used to calculate the waste assessment. Proposed improvements to reduce waste that has occurred using the Kipling Method. There are 6 types of waste that occurs. Waste assessment results that have been sorted in the production process are defect, motion, overproduction, transportation, waiting and process. This sequence is based on the largest weight to the smallest weight. For improvement proposals are prioritized for the type of waste with the highest rating weighting, namely defects. This shows that the defect is the type of waste that most influences the production process, making it easier to explore the cause of the problem and the advice that will be given to reduce the defects that occur. The company should make a visual form of the defect category so that the implementation of the recommendations for improvement can be applied and the operator can find out the true form of disability. It is expected that the proposed improvements can reduce the number of defects and meet the production targets achieved. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
