Analysis of Interaction Design in Braille Al-Qur’an Learning App for Visually Impaired People

Authors: Adam Mukharil Bachtiar, Dian Dharmayanti, Fitri Febriani

    Abstract

This research was conducted to help User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX) designer to produce appropriate UI/UX design on braille Al-Qur’an learning application for visually impaired people. For this objective, basic steps of the interaction design activity was carried out with participatory design approach. Using this approach, the resulting interaction design concepts can be adjusted to the perspective of visually impaired people. The main content of the discussion including understanding user, creating conceptual design, wireframing, prototyping, and testing/evaluating. The resulting interface design is then implemented in the form of a native prototype. Based on the results of testing the prototype of the Al-Qur’an braille text learning application, the average value of the performance fulfilled the purpose of the test. Thus, it can be concluded that the interaction design model of the Al-Qur’an braille text learning application produced in this study has reached its goal and is proper for visually impaired people. © 2020 Taylor’s University. Smartapps Implementation as a Unified Service Information System

    Authors: Bobi Kurniawan, Sopian Alviana

    Abstract

The research aims to establish a non-academic integrated service information system in the university environment. The research methods used in this study included identification, interviews, literature studies, and documentation. In addition, the system development methods used analysis, design, and implementation. In modeling, the system used Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) programming language to create programs and MySQL as data storage. The results of this research showed that SMARTAPPS as one information system could support the performance of each department in the university in managing the non-academic data services such as card submission, attendance, book sharing, health membership, certification data, and intellectual property rights. This information system could help user to manage the data automatically without manual process management. © 2020 Taylor’s University. All rights reserved.

Interactive Map-Based Optical Distribution Point (ODP) Mapping Design and Implementation

    Authors: Rangga Sidik, Yustian Ray

    Abstract

PT. Radmila Pratama Multireka is facing problems in mapping Optical Distribution Point (ODP) devices. They need a system capable of mapping the deployment of connected ODP devices. This study aims to design and implement a geographic information system as an information medium to convey the details of the connected ODP device. The research method used in this research is the Object-Oriented approach method which uses the Unified Modelling Language (UML) tool and uses the prototype system development method. Data collection was obtained through interviews and field observations. The results of this study prove that mapping fiber devices into interactive maps using geographic information system technology can be used on the user’s side to process business information and solve existing problems. Applications that have been built can help companies provide information about device details, location, and ODP coverage information in each region. And the use of the application has an impact on the ease of users in mapping, maintaining, and procuring ODP devices more effectively. © School of Engineering, Taylor’s University

Data Visualization for Content Marketing Domain in Social Media

Authors: Dian Dharmayanti, Adam Mukharil Bachtiar, Firman Nizammudin Fakhrul

    Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the proper data visualization on the domain of content marketing in social media. Based on interviews with marketers, they need a lot of time to read information from social media data to create content marketing strategy. It occurs due to inappropriate forms of data visualization, so that the data must be analysed again to get the desired information. To overcome this problem, further analysis is needed to know what kind of data visualization is suitable in the domain of content marketing on social media. The research method consisted of nine steps and used techniques such as empathy map, statistics, data mining, data visualization technique, acceptance testing, and usability testing to generate proper data visualization. To know if the data visualization is correct, acceptance testing was carried out on data visualization and usability testing on the prototype. Acceptance testing results indicated that 100% of the designed visualization forms are accepted. In addition, the results of usability testing on the prototype showed that effectiveness and efficiency reach 100%. From these results, it was concluded that visualization of data in the domain of content marketing on social media is made correctly. © 2021 Taylor’s University. All rights reserved.

    Abstract

This paper provides a review of Critical Success Factors (CSF) to support the evaluation of the implementation of enterprise architecture. To produce appropriate critical success factors, a literature review was conducted from several previous researches. The method used in this paper follows the flow of the Systematic Literature Review (SLR). This paper produces an understanding of the organization regarding Critical Success Factors (CSF) for the evaluation of enterprise architecture implementation. These factors are communication, organizational learning, management commitment, governance, goals, benefits, and scope. Communication and organizational culture are the most important things in evaluating Enterprise Architecture (EA) implementation with a percentage of 60% of paper studied. The results obtained from this discussion can be used by researches or practitioners as a consideration in evaluating enterprise architecture implementation. © 2021 Taylor’s University. • Inventory Control Cost Reduction for Infusion Using Material Requirement Planning Based on Lot Sizing

Inventory Control Cost Reduction for Infusion Using Material Requirement Planning Based on Lot Sizing

Authors: Diana Andriani, Hendry Hardianto, Nugraha

    Abstract

The purpose of this study is to minimize raw materials’ inventory control cost due to the excess of raw materials from Normal Saline 100 mL and Ringer Lactate 500 mL infusion. The method used in this research were six lot sizing methods such as Fixed Order Quantity, Fixed Period Requirement, Least Unit Cost, Least Total Cost, Part Period Balancing, and Silver Meal Algorithm. The results showed that the Normal Saline 100 mL infusion product used the Least Unit Cost (LUC) method and resulted in the lowest cost with two order periods. The use of LUC method saves a total of IDR 3,425,000. For the Ringer Lactate 500 mL infusion product, it is proven that the LTC and PPB methods produced the least cost. Orders with the LTC and PPB methods are made after two order periods for Sodium Chloride and Calcium Chloride Dihydrate raw materials, four order periods for Sodium Lactate, and five order periods for Potassium Chloride. The savings made using the TLC and PBB methods amounted to IDR 29,675,000. © School of Engineering, Taylor’s University
