    Abstract

    This research aims at investigating how Executive Information System (EIS) can be used as a device to support paperless system toward digitalized universities management and to what extent EIS success as a management tool. The case study was conducted on EIS in a private university in Bandung. This research used quantitative method by adopting DeLone and McLeans Information System (IS) Success Model (2003). The variables used are the System Quality (SQ), Information Quality (IQ), Use (U), User Satisfaction (US), Service Quality (SEQ) and Net Benefit (NB). Questionnaires were distributed to 100 respondents. Interview and data retrieval from the related division was conducted to support data analysis. The result of study indicated that the success of EIS was significantly influenced by all variables. The positive correlation between all variables and significance influence discovered that EIS was recommended in the universities management. The highest positive correlation and influence was showed by the variable of IQ that influenced US by 66.5%. It means that the company with the development of accurate, consistent and well-integrated EIS gained high levels of trust and satisfaction among users. The research provide information and recommendation to build EIS as one of paperless system toward digitalized university. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

  • Scheduling Regular Classrooms using Heuristic Genetic and Tabu Search Algorithms

    Abstract

    The purpose of this study was to scheduling regular classrooms using heuristic genetic and tabu search algorithm. Scheduling in the university environment – related subject is very important, as it pertains to the number of students, limited spaces, lecturer limited, as well as the time available. With all these parameters should get the best solution in terms of timetable by observing any limitations. Heuristic algorithms of optimization strategy is one that can be used in a search schedule. In practice heuristic algorithms in scheduling using genetic algorithm and tabu search. Genetic engineering is used to find the value of a high probability, while tabu search to optimize the number of searches and maintaining the high value that is already generated. The results of this research, namely scheduling using genetic and tabu search algorithm for schedule a number of students who are scheduled, as well as a fitness value with a high number of iterations that bit, so make scheduling with quality better and less time. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

  • Analysis of Eco-Friendly Preference and Eco-Friendly Product Quality; Their Implications to Customer Satisfaction

    Abstract

    The purpose of this study aims at analysing eco-friendly preference and eco-friendly product quality and their implications on the customer satisfaction either partially or simultaneously. The research method used was quantitative method with multiple linear regression analysis. Three variables measured were eco-friendly preference and eco-friendly product quality as independent variable (X) and customer satisfaction as dependent variable (Y). The object of this research was modern market customer as the unit of analysis. Technique of data collection used saturated random sampling with 100 respondents of modern market customers in Bandung. The statistical analysis used Classical Assumption Test and hypothesis testing test of Z, T and F with significant level (α) 5% and calculated by Eviews program. The result indicated implications Eco-friendly preference and eco-friendly product quality significant positive effect on Customer Satisfaction. This result obtained because the statistical test showed that the eco-friendly preference and eco-friendly product quality increases then implications customer satisfaction will increase. Both variables that were Eco-Friendly Preference and Eco-Friendly Product Quality have effects on their implications Customer satisfaction either partially or simultaneously. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

  • Analysis of Factors Affecting Tuition Fee in a Private University: A Data Mining Using VAR Model

    Abstract

    The purpose of this study is to deals with a data mining to extract knowledge regarding factors which affect tuition fee and predict future amount of the tuition fee. Specifically this paper aims to know what factors do affect tuition fee of a private university in eastern part of Indonesia. We used a vector autoregressive (VAR) model with variables including tuition fee, inflation rate, number of enrolled students and regional minimum wage. The data covers from January 2010 to December 2018 and were collected from the private university, the Bank Indonesia, the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), and the South Sulawesi office CBS. We carried out a step-by-step procedure that consists of stationarity test, optimal lag determination, and significance of parameters test as well as un-correlatedness of residuals and structure stability tests. We found that the tuition fee and the number of students are affected by inflation. This result gives impact on tuition fee prediction. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

    Abstract

    The purpose of this study is to find out how the internet can help photography and videography in attracting consumer attention. This research used a descriptive method. The results of this study state that it turns out that the field of photography and videography has a large influence in attracting the attention of consumers. Therefore, it is hoped that every business must be able to use the internet or platform as a form of business development, not only in the field of photography and videography but also other business fields.   • Flood control study using 1D/2D numerical model in Cipabuaran Channel, Sabi River Watershed, Tangerang City

    Abstract

    The flood that occurred in Tangerang City still remains an issue that has not been resolved. The flood arose from Bogor through the Cisadane River. Cipabuaran Channel is one of the channels in the Sabi River watershed who often overflows. Sabi River itself is a tributary of the Cisadane River. In this study, the flood control simulation in Cipabuaran Channel was carried out using a 1D-2D numerical model. Simulation is carried out with 4 scenarios based on the design flow of the 10 year return period. For scenario 1, flood control is carried out using retention pond in the downstream of Cipabuaran Channel, scenario 2 is carried out by using two retention ponds in the upstream and downstream of Cipabuaran Channel, scenario 3 using retention ponds in the downstream of Cipabuaran Channel and bypass channel to Cisadane river, and scenario 4 performed by using retention pond in the downstream of Cipabuaran Channel and normalization on the Channel. Simulation results show the effectiveness of flood reduction for each scenario, in scenario 1 flood can be reduced by 9%, scenario 2 flood can be reduced by 32.52%, scenario 3 flood can be reduced by 77.34% and for scenario 4 flood can be reduced by 95%. From these results, it can be concluded that scenario 4 where flood control is carried out using a retention pond in the downstream of Cipabuaran Channel and normalizing the River can reduce flooding significantly. © 2019 IOP Publishing Ltd.   • Application of Data Mining for Indonesian Products Export in South Korea Using Clustering: Indonesia Trade Promotion Center Busan

    Abstract

    This research purpose is to classify data export products of Indonesia against South Korea. The clustering method used in this research was the K-Means method, in K-Means cluster had a good degree of accuracy. This research examines how the use of the K-means method in case studies export products Indonesia against South Korea. From the results of clustering using K-Means method based on the value of the USD and Kg, then the generated 3 (three) clusters with cluster values are high, medium and low. Based on those results suggest that K-Means method can be used for inventory control of product reference or as Indonesia Indonesia Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) in Busan to view any export products should be retained and what are the export products should be improved to be promoted in South Korea so as to increase the number of export products of Indonesia against South Korea. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

  • Fingerprint Identification using Bozorth and Boyer-Moore Algorithm

    Abstract

    The process of fingerprint identification in the form of a binary image can be performed with a variety of algorithms to matching the fingerprint process. This study aims to determine the time processing for fingerprint detection using Bozorth and Boyer-Moore models. The result showed that both of the models could detection the fingerprint. This paper contribution is to compare and analyze Bozorth and Boyer-Moore algorithms. The comparison is performed by MATLAB simulation. The simulation results Boyer-Moore algorithm has faster identification process. On the other hand, Bozort algorithm has an advantage for identification of effect rotated or space translated fingerprints. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

    The purpose of this study is to show the design model’s application of a system-based on Forum Islamic Boarding School to integrate all related functions. The research used descriptive and explanatory research methods, while the type of data taken by conducting interviews and observations with the Forum Islamic Boarding School. Secondary data is taken from the theories available in journals, e-books, proceedings, and slide presentations on the results of seminars and government policies. The results of the study is to make islamic boarding schools application as a tool for develop themselves, introduced to the use of technology and become an institution that lead Pesantren towards Modern Islamic Boarding Schools.   • Evaluation of Usability Online Payment Website to Agent Satisfaction

    Abstract

    Website could use as a media to provider and agent to do business in transportation ticket sales such as airlines, hotel, train and bus, sell pulse and other payment also. Agent act as seller selling products to customer. There are many existing online payment website, to compete with other existing website, need to satisfy agent. Satisfaction could be reach with website quality. The purpose of this research is to measure the quality of the website and agent satisfaction. This study used webqual 4.0 as method, the author took 30 sample from registered agent. The research result is calculation t-statistic on usability value is -0.56. The value is smaller than the t-tabel at a significant level of 95%, so it is rejected, means variable usability is do not have a significant influence on customer satisfaction online payment website. Impact of this study is to know usability of the payment website to improve agent satisfaction. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
