    E-monitoring the vulnerability of malnutrition of children using the TOPSIS method

    Abstract

    A health problem that needs to be addressed by national and international authorities is the issue of children’s nutritional status. In Indonesia, this problem needs serious attention from the government and the wider community. This study aims to design a monitoring model for the vulnerability of malnutrition to be used by stakeholders in overcoming malnutrition by reducing the causes. The impact that occurs due to malnutrition in children resulted in stunted growth. Therefore, information is needed to find out what are the causes of malnutrition so that it is easier to solve this problem by suppressing the factors that cause malnutrition. In this study, the method used to determine the causes of malnutrition[ vulnerability was the Topsis method by analysing the factors of malnutrition which include nutritional intake, infectious diseases, childcare patterns, household food availability, sanitation, and poverty. The results of this study were in the form of a monitoring model to determine malnutrition in children so that it can assist stakeholders in overcoming malnutrition by suppressing the factors that cause malnutrition. © 2021 School of Engineering.

    Abstract

    This study aims to identify the feasibility of vetiver waste and its added value in supporting sustainable agriculture management. This study also identifies pH, humidity, light intensity, and temperature levels of organic fertilizers from vetiver waste. In addition, this study also aims to determine the effect of fertilizers on soil quality around vetiver and other plants. This study used observation and interview methods for primary data collection and is supported by literature reviews as a secondary data collection method. This study focuses on the quality of fertilizer from vetiver waste, by comparing soil quality before and after the application of fertilizer. The air condition was also measured to analyse the impact of the relationship between air and soil productivity. The results of this study indicated that before and after applying the fertilizer on the soil, the average pH value of the soil is 5.0 that categorized as Moderately Acid remain the same which is categorized as a reasonable level according to the Soil Quality Index and the Standar Nasional Indonesia. In addition, the fertilizer from vetiver waste that has pH of 5.5 and 6 meets the Standar Nasional Indonesia and suitable for use on plants. Another benefits of vetiver waste are this material do not pollute the environment which is indicated by relatively good air quality (PM 10 with 37 and 32; PM 2.5 with 27 and 25; PM 1.0 with 15 and 13). In conclusion, vetiver fertilizer is a feasible to be utilize in plant cultivation and reduces the volume of agricultural waste and has an economic value (IDR 5,580,000/month). © 2021 Taylor’s University.     Abstract:

    Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) is an approach used to modify and redirect existing agricultural systems to support food security in climate change. The purpose of this research is to conduct a bibliometric analysis in terms of CSA by combining mapping analysis using VOSviewer software. The bibliometric and descriptive quantitative approach was applied in this research. The data obtained is a search result based on the keyword “climate smart agriculture” in Google Scholar. From the search results, 999 articles published were found in the range of 2017-2021. However, there are only 132 articles that are relevant to the research topic. The results show that research on climate smart agriculture increased in 2017-2019 but decreased in 2020. Moreover, the research increased significantly in 2021. In conclusion, this study shows the importance of conducting a bibliometric analysis, especially in the field of climate smart agriculture. It is hoped that this research can be a reference for future research in conducting and determining research themes. © 2022. Moroccan Journal of Chemistry. All Rights Reserved.

    Abstract:

    To boost the development of a regional agricultural sector, a wider scope of superior commodities can be used. It certainly would contribute a lot to regional and national economic sustainability. Therefore, the stakeholders need to formulate an effective and efficient marketing strategy to balance the supply and demand of agricultural products and improve farmers’ welfare. Marketing strategies in each country were differently influenced by several factors ranging from geography, politics, and people’s consumption patterns. This study compares the marketing strategies for leading agricultural commodities in Indonesia and Uzbekistan to obtain a new formula for marketing agricultural products. Uzbekistan is considered one of the countries in Central Asia that has a lot in common with Indonesia, especially in the agricultural sector, and vice versa. This study aims to develop a marketing strategy for enhanced regional commodities and see how significant the economic contribution of the Garut region is on a national scale. The Literature review is used as a research method. We also conducted a case study and field survey in the Garut region, one of the agriculture centers in Indonesia. The results also indicate that a marketing strategy can boost the economy of a specific area. It can be useful for local governments and business entities when developing effective strategies to deal with the national economy and for monitoring of farmer effectiveness. © 2022, Institute of Eastern Europe and Central Asia.     Abstract:

    The agricultural sector is one of the influential sectors that contribute significantly to the economy of many Indonesians. Ironically, farmers, as the main actors in this sector,do not yet have good welfare. This condition also occurs in Garut Regency as the most significant contributor to the GDP of West Java Province due to the marketing and management system for horticultural crops has not been integrated. Therefore, mobile-based applications to improve crop management and as a digital marketing media is hoped to increase the competitiveness of superior horticultural products in the Garut district. This research was conducted through a field survey and interview of 30 farmersin the subdistricts of Cigedug and Bayongbong and representatives of employees at the Agriculture Office of Garut Regency. Secondary data in crop production reports, production maps, agricultural machinery, and others were used to support the primary data. Interview results indicate that agricultural production and marketing of horticultural products in Garut Regency are still carried out conventionally. It makes the farmers’ access to various information and markets very limited. Therefore, this study aims to design a mobile-based Marketing Information System and assist plant maintenance and plant marketing in an integrated manner. In addition, a Prototype wasused as the system development method. This study can help farmers market their agricultural commodities and determine the Agriculture Office of Garut Regency policies. © School of Engineering, Taylor’s University.

    Abstract

    This study explores how to improve the productivity of hydroponic leafy vegetables by balancing Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) and nutrient solution pH. Using bok choy in a floating raft system, the research applies a controlled experimental design to observe how these parameters interact in supporting vegetative growth and yield. Daily monitoring and careful adjustment of nutrient levels and pH are emphasized to ensure optimal nutrient uptake. Balanced TDS and pH conditions enhanced leaf formation and biomass accumulation, while imbalances caused nutrient stress and growth inhibition. This study offers practical guidance for growers to synchronize TDS and pH in real-time for improved nutrient management. The findings contribute to precision hydroponics aligned with sustainable agriculture, specifically supporting sustainable development goals (SDGs) for SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) through efficient food production and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) by encouraging optimal use of agricultural inputs. © 2026 Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia.

    Abstract

    Nowadays, the development of information technology both in terms of hardware and software has been growing rapidly. Many people used technology to search many types of information. On the other hand, there are information on Sundanese ancient manuscript as cultural heritage with many valuable information still accessed manually, such as the manuscript which located in Situs Kabuyutan Ciburuy, Garut, Jawa Barat. Many people with many purposes (i.e. Research, education, etc.) came to access directly. Its becoming a problem because due to lack of maintainability, the manuscripts became fragile. Furthermore, the information will be lost. So, the emergency solution should be proposed to preserve this valuable heritage. We proposed a retrieval system using the probability approach that can be effective for search the information in ancient Sundanese language. The two probability approaches: Bayesian Networks and Divergence form Randomness have been compared. The 50 queries for three different types of structured query have been run and evaluated by Mean Average Precision (MAP). The results give that the effective methods come from Bayesian Network. There is another finding during the building process of retrieval system. The interactive visualization can be delivered by the retrieval system according to the given query. © 2016 IEEE.

    Abstract

    Introduction: blockchain is an advanced technology that ensures a high level of data transparency and security by utilizing a distributed mechanism in storing and managing data. While currently blockchain is mostly utilized to facilitate cryptocurrency transactions due to its capability in securing data, blockchain also has the potential to store and manage various data, including government data. This research aims to reflect in the literature on trends in the application of blockchain technology in citizen data management and e-Government systems, focusing on trends, architectural design and the sector of the implementation of this technology. This research will also investigate data integrity and population accountability. This study seeks to provide insight into the challenges and application of blockchain technology in governance systems through several research questions. Method: the PRISM method is used as a guide for conducting literature review analysis starting from defining literature eligibility criteria, defining information sources, conducting filtering, and data analysis. Results: based on the results of the literature review, several previous studies have integrated Blockchain with IoT to increase supply chain transparency. Meanwhile, in e-government systems, several Blockchain implementations are used for decentralized identity verification to ensure the integrity and privacy of demographic data. Conclusions: previous research shows that Blockchain technology has the potential to improve efficiency, security and transparency in various fields, especially in data management and governance. © 2024; Los autores.

    Abstract

    Interval plays is a major role in music theory so that almost every musician must recognize musical intervals. On the other hand, interval can not be separated from relative pitch, an ability to recognize interval by ear. A common problem in learning music theory and ear training are it can be bored, less fun and less challenging for students. Therefore, Game-Based Learning (GBL) is proposed in this study as a learning method for musical interval and ear training. An experiment with pretest and post-test is conducted, and as a treatment, an adventure game with proposed approach was built. Pre-test and post-test includes both theoretical and relative pitch test. Theoretical test is written test with multiple choices of theoretical questions about learning material presented on each stage. Relative pitch test were conducted by playing a random musical interval and asked the student to guess what interval it is. The result is the game could give an improvement in theoretical test score by 79.22% and 19.23% in relative pitch test. © 2015 IEEE.
