    UNIKOM PRESS Participates in the West Java Regional and the 2025 APPTI National Working Meetings

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM — On Thursday, November 27, 2025, the West Java Regional Branch of the Indonesian Higher Education Publishers Association (APPTI) held a Regional Working Meeting (Mukerwil) at an auditorium on the 8th floor of the Dean’s Office Building, Universitas Islam Bandung (Unisba). This annual event was held to strengthen collaboration among university publishers, develop strategic work programs, and prepare the West Java delegation for the APPTI 2025 National Working Meeting (Mukernas) with the theme “The Adoption of Artificial Intelligence Technology in the Book Publishing Ecosystem.”

    At the Mukerwil and Mukernas events, UNIKOM Press, under the Directorate of Journals and Scientific Publications led by the Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Poni Sukaesih Kurniati, S.IP., M.Si., actively participated by presenting the institution’s profile and program proposals, including training to strengthen the competencies of publishing human resources and collaborative initiatives among publishers for standardizing the quality of academic books.

    APPTI is a national organization that oversees university publishers throughout Indonesia, aimed at strengthening the scientific publishing ecosystem. On this occasion, the West Java Regional Coordination Committee of APPTI emphasized the importance of synergy between publishers to improve quality, distribution networks, and the competitiveness of scientific publishing at the regional and national levels.

    One of the main agendas at this year’s Regional Working Meeting was the election of the Chair of the West Java Regional Branch of APPTI for the 2026 period. In addition, the forum also discussed the preparation of the work program, which will be officially submitted to the 2025 APPTI Mukernas.

    The Mukernas began with the presentation of the APPTI Central work report, followed by seminars and national discussions. The work report was presented by several speakers, including 1) Dr. Bambang Wasito Adi, S.H., M.Sc., who presented “The Role of Higher Education Publishers Based on the Book System Law.” The material discussed the strategic role of university publishers in the implementation of the Book System Law (Law 13/2017 & PP 75/2019), improving book quality, equalizing distribution access, and the concept of Quality, Affordability, and Equality; 2) Dadi Ahmadi, S.Sos., M.I.Kom & Book Influencer, presented the topic “Book Sales through Social Media and Communities,” which explained community-based literacy marketing strategies, the use of social media platforms, and the role of book influencers in increasing book exposure and sales; 3) Alga Indria, S.Sn., M.Sn. (Director of ITB Press) presented on the topic of “Book Sales Using Gen AI.” The topic highlighted the use of generative AI in book marketing, the transformation of the publishing business model, and ethical and regulatory challenges, and 4) Erick Wahyudyono (Director of IPB Press) presented “The Success Story of IPB Press,” which outlined operational efficiency tips, innovations, and the expansion of IPB Press in the national academic publishing industry.

    The discussion forum continued with the alignment of national work programs involving all regional coordinators. The process included presentations of regional coordinator reports, program proposals, and the establishment of the 2026 strategic agenda. This APPTI 2025 Mukernas concluded with a city tour of Bandung as a symbol of unity and the expansion of networks among Indonesian university publishers. (Directorate of Hms & Pro)

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM  – UNIKOM Press is proud to announce the publication of six new works by lecturers at the Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) that have officially obtained ISBN (International Standard Book Number) numbers. This achievement is proof of the recognition of the quality of academic work and reinforces UNIKOM’s role in fostering knowledge in various strategic fields.

    The six books present innovative ideas that are relevant to the needs of the times, ranging from technology, taxation, customer service innovation and product packaging, computer networks, digital marketing, to financial technology (fintech).

Tatang Supriyadi, S.E., M.M., Dr. Edi Firdaus, S.Kom., M.Kom., and Dr. Rizki Zulfikar, S.E., M.Si.; and 6) Financial Institutions and Financial Technology (Fintech): Theory, Concepts, and Implementation in the Era of Digital Business Transformation – by Mari Maryati, SE., M.M., and Dr. H. Tatang Supriyadi, SE., M.M.

    Director of Journals and Scientific Publications at UNIKOM, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Poni Sukaesih, S.IP., M.Si., said, “These books not only have good substance, but also provide relevant academic benefits for the development of knowledge and skills. Thus, their existence is expected to serve as a strategic tool in enriching knowledge, expanding literacy, and supporting the learning process and professional development for students, lecturers, practitioners, and the wider community,” she said.

    With the issuance of ISBN, these works are not only officially recognized as scientific books, but also ready to become important references for academics, students, practitioners, and the wider community who want to deepen their knowledge on current issues.     BANDUNG, UNIKOM – UNIKOM PRESS is a publisher under Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) and is managed by the Directorate of Scientific Publications of UNIKOM, which is currently a member of the Indonesian Publishers Association (IKAPI). UNIKOM PRESS aims to publish various book works, including scientific books, education, sports, and others produced by UNIKOM lecturers, staff, and students. Since its establishment in 2023, UNIKOM PRESS has collaborated with UNIKOM lecturers in producing quality books to support the development of science.     Synopsis: The digital era has brought significant changes in the global tax system, encouraging countries to adopt technology to improve tax efficiency, transparency, and compliance. Core Tax Administration System (CTAS) comes as a modern solution that integrates cutting-edge technologies such as Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data Analytics, and Smart Contracts to create a more sophisticated and adaptive tax system for the digital economy. Tax digitalization is an urgent need for Indonesia in facing global and domestic challenges. Technology enables tax administration efficiency, accelerates data processing, and improves tax compliance through automation and predictive analytics. However, the complexity of the digital economy and cross-border transactions demands innovative solutions for tax authorities to ensure fiscal fairness and prevent tax evasion. Observing children’s play spaces has been the focus of my attention on many occasions, especially in relation to human behavior and how space can influence their development.

    The era of digitalization has brought about profound changes in the way humans interact with spaces, including children’s play and learning spaces. In the context of architecture, child behavior research is becoming increasingly relevant to understand how space design can support their physical, cognitive, and social development needs amidst technological advancements. The advent of the Internet of Things (IoT), Virtual Reality (VR), and Artificial Intelligence (AI) creates new opportunities to create play and learning environments that are expected to be interactive. However, these technologies also bring challenges, especially in reducing direct social interaction between children. Reliance on digital devices often limits physical exploration and human collaboration, which should be essential elements of child development. 

    The two latest books published reflect an in-depth study of technological developments in various fields. Through the publication of these two books, UNIKOM PRESS has played an active role in providing useful academic references for the community and the world of education.
