    A Bibliometric Analysis of Climate Smart Agriculture Research Using VOSviewer

    Abstract:

    Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) is an approach used to modify and redirect existing agricultural systems to support food security in climate change. The purpose of this research is to conduct a bibliometric analysis in terms of CSA by combining mapping analysis using VOSviewer software. The bibliometric and descriptive quantitative approach was applied in this research. The data obtained is a search result based on the keyword “climate smart agriculture” in Google Scholar. From the search results, 999 articles published were found in the range of 2017-2021. However, there are only 132 articles that are relevant to the research topic. The results show that research on climate smart agriculture increased in 2017-2019 but decreased in 2020. Moreover, the research increased significantly in 2021. In conclusion, this study shows the importance of conducting a bibliometric analysis, especially in the field of climate smart agriculture. It is hoped that this research can be a reference for future research in conducting and determining research themes. © 2022. Moroccan Journal of Chemistry. All Rights Reserved.

    Abstract:

    To boost the development of a regional agricultural sector, a wider scope of superior commodities can be used. It certainly would contribute a lot to regional and national economic sustainability. Therefore, the stakeholders need to formulate an effective and efficient marketing strategy to balance the supply and demand of agricultural products and improve farmers’ welfare. Marketing strategies in each country were differently influenced by several factors ranging from geography, politics, and people’s consumption patterns. This study compares the marketing strategies for leading agricultural commodities in Indonesia and Uzbekistan to obtain a new formula for marketing agricultural products. Uzbekistan is considered one of the countries in Central Asia that has a lot in common with Indonesia, especially in the agricultural sector, and vice versa. This study aims to develop a marketing strategy for enhanced regional commodities and see how significant the economic contribution of the Garut region is on a national scale. The Literature review is used as a research method. We also conducted a case study and field survey in the Garut region, one of the agriculture centers in Indonesia. The results also indicate that a marketing strategy can boost the economy of a specific area. It can be useful for local governments and business entities when developing effective strategies to deal with the national economy and for monitoring of farmer effectiveness. © 2022, Institute of Eastern Europe and Central Asia.     Abstract:

    The agricultural sector is one of the influential sectors that contribute significantly to the economy of many Indonesians. Ironically, farmers, as the main actors in this sector,do not yet have good welfare. This condition also occurs in Garut Regency as the most significant contributor to the GDP of West Java Province due to the marketing and management system for horticultural crops has not been integrated. Therefore, mobile-based applications to improve crop management and as a digital marketing media is hoped to increase the competitiveness of superior horticultural products in the Garut district. This research was conducted through a field survey and interview of 30 farmersin the subdistricts of Cigedug and Bayongbong and representatives of employees at the Agriculture Office of Garut Regency. Secondary data in crop production reports, production maps, agricultural machinery, and others were used to support the primary data. Interview results indicate that agricultural production and marketing of horticultural products in Garut Regency are still carried out conventionally. It makes the farmers’ access to various information and markets very limited. Therefore, this study aims to design a mobile-based Marketing Information System and assist plant maintenance and plant marketing in an integrated manner. In addition, a Prototype wasused as the system development method. This study can help farmers market their agricultural commodities and determine the Agriculture Office of Garut Regency policies. © School of Engineering, Taylor’s University.

    Abstract:

    The global crisis and climate change have resulted in severe food shortages worldwide. One of the solutions is self-farming by using smart farming technology. Smart and efficient agricultural production or smart farming using IoT sensors, big data, and cloud service has proven its value for a decade, but the effect depends on the agricultural environment of the country or society. Hence self-farming is likely the most feasible solution to avoid food scarcity. The smart farming system monitors and maintains essential growth parameters like light, temperature, and humidity to ensure maximum yield. In this paper, we propose a Smart Portable Farming Kit design, which is simple, lightweight, and durable to be placed indoors in an urban area. This prototype design uses the Internet of Things (IoT) based system for cultivating short-duration vegetables and mushrooms in an urban area with minimal user attention. The proposed design proved better than the traditional setup by increasing the mushroom yield. With Smart Portable Farming Kit, urban farming becomes a more viable alternative to increase food security, making oyster mushroom cultivation in the urban area easier and more profitable. © Universiti Putra Malaysia Press.

    Abstract:

    Health problems in children are very important for all circles of society. The government through healthcare center must educate parents, especially those who have children. By participating in the program at the healthcare center, they can monitor the growth of children. This research is through a system analysis method based on the results of observations and literature studies. The method in designing information systems uses a life cycle development system. The purpose of this study is to provide a design to make it easier for health workers at healthcare center to carry out stunting checks on children.     Abstract:

    Potatoes are a horticultural commodity that plays an important role in realizing food security. Monitoring soil moisture in the care of potato crops plays an important role in the growth and development of potatoes. There are many obstacles faced to able to supervise peatlands in Indonesia; an alternative surveillance method is needed that can reach difficult locations. One of the approaches taken is a collaboration between Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) technology and the microcontroller-based Internet of Things (IoT). The purpose of this research is to Design soil moisture sensor nodes on the network sensor wires so that the system has optimal monitoring. Implementing the Internet of Things (IoT) on the Wireless system so that the system can be accessed remotely, Comparing accuracy, distance, and speed on Tree and mesh topologies. The research method used in this research is descriptive analysis with a qualitative approach. Whereas in the application development process using Wireless Sensor Network. The system is integrated with the Internet of Things. It uses the ESP8266 as the processor of the created node sensor and uses the Raspberry Pi as the server of the entire system. The result shows that the system can be monitored remotely and make it easier for farmers to find out soil moisture. The main concept of this designing a website as an Interface that can provide information on sensors. In addition, Designing Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) and Tree, mesh, and bus network topology to receive and send data sensor nodes, implementing the Internet of Things (IoT) in the system so that the system can be monitored remotely and makes it easier for farmers to find out soil moisture. In the end, this application is present as an information medium to determine communication between sensor nodes in the agricultural world. The system also has an integrated feature with local agencies or regions to report soil moisture on potato plantations exceeding the specified humidity. © 2023 Author(s).

  • Geographic Information System (GIS) Application to Identify the Distribution of Tourist Attractions and Supporting Facilities Related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

    Abstract

    The purpose of this research is to examine the distribution patterns of tourism attractions, hotels, and restaurants, and to explore their implications for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Lembang District. To analyze these distributions, a quantitative approach was applied using nearest neighbor analysis and Geographic Information System (GIS) techniques. A total of 38 tourism attractions were identified, including 17 natural attractions, 17 artificial attractions, and four cultural attractions; all exhibiting dispersed distribution patterns. There are 32 hotels with random distribution patterns and 178 restaurants that are clustered. Natural attractions are characterized by hilly terrain, forests, valleys, and rivers, which result in physical separation between some sites. In contrast, artificial and cultural attractions tend to be concentrated in more accessible areas, particularly along main routes. Notably, villages such as Cikahuripan, Cikidang, Mekarwangi, Suntenjaya, Wangunharja, and Wangunsari contain tourism attractions but lack adequate supporting facilities, including hotels and restaurants. The spatial allocation of tourism attractions, accommodations, and restaurants significantly influences the achievement of the SDGs. Tourism contributes to 14 of the 17 SDGs, especially SDG 8 (promoting economic opportunities), SDG 1 (reducing poverty), and SDG 5 (advancing gender equality). © 2026 Tim Pengembang Jurnal UPI.

    Abstract

    This study explores how to improve the productivity of hydroponic leafy vegetables by balancing Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) and nutrient solution pH. Using bok choy in a floating raft system, the research applies a controlled experimental design to observe how these parameters interact in supporting vegetative growth and yield. Daily monitoring and careful adjustment of nutrient levels and pH are emphasized to ensure optimal nutrient uptake. Balanced TDS and pH conditions enhanced leaf formation and biomass accumulation, while imbalances caused nutrient stress and growth inhibition. This study offers practical guidance for growers to synchronize TDS and pH in real-time for improved nutrient management. The findings contribute to precision hydroponics aligned with sustainable agriculture, specifically supporting sustainable development goals (SDGs) for SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) through efficient food production and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) by encouraging optimal use of agricultural inputs. © 2026 Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia.

    The rapid advancement of financial technology (FinTech) has brought significant innovations while raising concerns about security, transparency, and trust. This study explores how blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI) enhance trust in digital finance by strengthening security, improving fraud detection, and ensuring regulatory compliance. This study systematically reviews the integration of blockchain and AI in financial operations using a qualitative research approach. The findings indicate that blockchain enhances transaction security through decentralization and immutability, while AI significantly improves fraud detection and risk assessment through predictive analytics and machine learning. These advancements are driven by blockchain’s ability to ensure data integrity and AI’s capacity to analyse vast datasets in real time. This research highlights the potential of these technologies to boost consumer confidence, promote financial inclusion, and enhance the resilience of digital financial systems. However, regulatory complexities, high integration costs, and interoperability issues must be addressed to enable broader adoption. © School of Engineering, Taylor’s University.
