The event was held to provide a space for business interaction and a showcase for entrepreneurial products from the academic community and MSME partners.

Held in the lobby of the Smart Building UNIKOM, INBISKOM Market Day served as a strategic platform to promote the strengthening of the campus-based entrepreneurial ecosystem, particularly in supporting the development of businesses run by students, alumni, and MSME partners. Approximately 120 SME tenants from the academic community and students of UNIKOM participated, offering a variety of businesses, such as food and beverages, creative products and accessories, fashion, service-based and digital businesses.

On the first day, Market Day began with a speech by the Rector of UNIKOM, Prof. 3 Prof. H.C. Dr. Ir. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T. After the speech by the UNIKOM Rector, the event continued with a ribbon-cutting ceremony by the UNIKOM Rector, accompanied by the Vice Rectors, Deans, and the Director of INBISKOM. The event then followed with a speech from the representative of the West Java Cooperative and Small Business Office, Moch. Danny Fulton, S.Hut., M.Eng., M.Sc. He expressed his hope that in the future, UNIKOM students would not only be ready to enter the workforce but also be able to create jobs through creative, innovative, and technology-based ideas.

Next, the event featured an entrepreneurship talk show with Vice Rector IV for Digital Technology & ICT, International Programs & Center of Excellence of UNIKOM, Prof. Zainal Arifin Hasibuan, Ph.D., as the main speaker. This session was moderated by the Director of INBISKOM, Prof. Dr. Lilis Puspitawati, S.E., M.Si., Ak., CA., with a theme around entrepreneurship and digital business in the contemporary era.

In his presentation, Prof. Zainal highlighted the strategic role of MSMEs in the national economic structure. He also explained that more than 97% of job opportunities in Indonesia come from the micro, small, and medium enterprise sector, making the strengthening of MSMEs a key factor in job creation and economic growth. In addition, he emphasized the importance of MSMEs adapting to digital transformation, strengthening their branding, and utilizing online platforms so that their products can compete not only at the local level but also at national and international levels.

On the second day, in addition to being enlivened by various tenants from MSME businesses, the talk show agenda featured Gerry Permana Santosa, S.IP., as a guest speaker who discussed business development, marketing strategies, and business opportunities amid the dynamics of the creative and digital economy. The enthusiasm of the participants was evident in every Market Day talk show session. The speakers also took the time to visit each tenant to discuss with the participants and share tips for business success directly with the participants according to their respective fields of business.

Through the organization of Market Day, the Directorate INBISKOM of UNIKOM reaffirmed its commitment to supporting sustainable entrepreneurship development while strengthening the role of higher education institutions as drivers of the creative economy and innovation-based SMEs. Strengthening Global Commitment Towards A World Class University, Unikom Officially Launches SDGs WEBSITE

BANDUNG, UNIKOM – Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) has officially launched the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) website as a manifestation of the institution’s commitment to supporting the global sustainable development agenda. The launch was an important moment in the Building Global Academic Presence: Workshop on Strengthening Global Academic Identity through Digital Platforms event held on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at the Auditorium on the 17th floor of the Smart Building UNIKOM.

The vice rectors, deans, heads of study programs, and all lecturers at UNIKOM attended the event. The launch of the UNIKOM’s SDGs Website marks a strategic step for the institution in integrating sustainable development values into the Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi (Three Pillars of Higher Education), while strengthening UNIKOM’s position in the global higher education landscape.

Vice Rector IV for Digital Technology & ICT, International Programs & Center of Excellence, Prof. Zainal Arifin Hasibuan, MLS, Ph.D., explained that the launch of the SDGs website reaffirms UNIKOM’s commitment to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals that have been ratified globally. He stated all fields of science have room to contribute to the achievement of the SDGs, because these goals include various indicators and sub-indicators that are relevant to education, research, and community service activities.

“On this occasion, UNIKOM will launch the SDGs website. This affirms our commitment to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals that have been ratified globally. All fields of study have a contribution to make, because the SDGs cover various indicators and sub-indicators relevant to education, research, and community service activities. I need to emphasize that AI is not meant to replace the role of humans but rather to support and improve the quality of our academic performance. Human judgment remains the main foundation in the education world. All these steps are part of accelerating the achievement of UNIKOM’s grand vision of becoming a world-class university. Of course, this journey requires commitment, consistency, constructive criticism, and teamwork,” he said.

The SDGs Website is designed as a center for information, documentation, and reporting on various activities of the academic community that contribute to the achievement of sustainable development goals. The platform is expected to increase transparency, expand national and international collaboration networks, and strengthen the visibility of UNIKOM’s contributions in addressing global issues.

The launch of the SDGs website is also in line with the agenda of strengthening UNIKOM’s global academic identity through the use of digital platforms. During the workshop series, participants gained an understanding of the importance of academic presence in the digital space as the main gateway to introducing institutions, strengthening reputations, and developing international cooperation.

Through this initiative, UNIKOM affirms its position as a university that is adaptive to global challenges, oriented towards sustainability, and committed to making a real contribution to national and international communities. With the synergy of the entire academic community, UNIKOM is optimistic about accelerating its steps toward becoming an excellent, innovative, and globally competitive world-class university.
