    International Relations Study Program UNIKOM Achieves “Excellent” Accreditation, Strengthening Its Commitment to Producing Globally Competitive Graduates

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM – Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) has once again achieved a significant milestone. Its Bachelor’s Degree (S1) Program in International Relations has successfully earned “Excellent” (Unggul) accreditation, the highest accreditation status in Indonesia’s higher education system. This achievement serves as a proof of UNIKOM’s commitment to delivering high-quality education responsive to global challenges while further strengthening its position as a Digital Entrepreneurial University.

    The “Excellent” accreditation status was awarded based on the Decree of the Executive Board of Lembaga Akreditasi Mandiri Sosial Politik, Administrasi, dan Komunikasi (LAMSPAK), Number 220/AK.03.05/2026, as well as Accreditation Certificate Number 220/DL.03.05/2026. Issued in Jakarta on July 28, 2026, and signed by the Chair of the LAMSPAK Executive Board, Prof. Dr. M.R. Khairul Muluk, M.Si., the decision granted the study program an accreditation score of 255. This accreditation is valid for five years, from February 4, 2026, to February 4, 2031, recognizing the program’s fulfillment of quality standards for higher education that are excellent, sustainable, and focused on continuous quality improvement.

    This achievement resulted from a comprehensive evaluation process conducted in accordance with the national higher education quality assurance framework, as stipulated in the Regulation of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia Number 53 of 2023. The accreditation decision also refers to BAN-PT Regulation Number 21 of 2024 concerning the transfer of authority for Akreditasi Program Studi (APS) from Badan Akreditasi Nasional Perguruan Tinggi (BAN-PT) to Lembaga Akreditasi Mandiri (LAM), as well as LAMSPAK Regulation Number 2 of 2025 concerning the stages and procedures for study program accreditation.

    Retaining the “Excellent” accreditation status demonstrates that UNIKOM’s Bachelor’s Degree Program in International Relations has successfully maintained the highest standard of accreditation while consistently upholding and enhancing the quality of its educational services. This achievement reflects professional, strategic, and sustainable program management that enables the program to produce graduates who are competent, adaptable, and competitive at both the national and international levels. Furthermore, it represents the strong synergy among university leaders, the study program, lecturers, administrative staff, students, alumni, and stakeholders in fostering a sustainable culture of quality across education, research, community service, and institutional governance in accordance with national and international standards.

    As a study program committed to continuous curriculum innovation, UNIKOM’s Bachelor’s Degree Program in International Relations provides an educational experience that responds to global developments, advances in digital technology, and the evolving demands of the workforce. Supported by highly qualified lecturers, extensive national and international partnerships, and a conducive academic environment, the program is dedicated to producing graduates equipped with strong academic competence, analytical skills, leadership capabilities, and a global perspective.

    In an interview, the Head of the International Relations Study Program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dewi Triwahyuni, S.IP., M.Si., stated that achieving “Excellent” accreditation is the result of the collective efforts of the entire academic community, including university leaders, lecturers, administrative staff, students, alumni, institutional partners, and graduate employers. “For us, this achievement is not merely recognition of administrative compliance but, more importantly, recognition of the quality culture that has been consistently cultivated across governance, teaching and learning, research, community service, and the development of students and graduates. We are grateful and proud of this accomplishment, yet we also recognize that attaining ‘Excellent’ status is not the end of our journey. Instead, it brings a greater responsibility to continuously enhance the quality of education, strengthen national and international collaborations, increase research productivity, and ensure that our graduates possess the competence, integrity, and adaptability needed to address an increasingly complex global perspective.”

    Meanwhile, the Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at UNIKOM, Prof. Dr. Hj. Dewi Kurniasih, S.IP., M.Si., stated “This ‘Excellent’ accreditation is a reflection of FISIP UNIKOM’s commitment to building a sustainable culture of quality across every aspect of higher education. This achievement represents not only recognition of the governance quality of the International Relations Study Program but also motivation for the entire academic community to continue innovating in producing graduates who are excellent, adaptive, principled, and globally competitive. We extend our deepest gratitude and appreciation to all lecturers, administrative staff, students, alumni, partners, and university leaders whose collective efforts made this achievement possible.     UNIKOM Welcomes Educational Visit from SMK Negeri 3 Metro Lampung to Strengthen Insights into Higher Education and Digital Technology

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM — Thursday, May 7, 2026, the Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) hosted an educational visit from SMK Negeri 3 Metro Lampung. Held at the Miracle Auditorium on the 4th floor of UNIKOM Campus I, the delegation from SMK Negeri 3 Metro Lampung was welcomed directly by the UNIKOM Directorate of Public Relations and Protocol team along with the UNIKOM Student Protocol Corps. The visit was part of an effort to introduce students to the world of higher education while strengthening their technological and educational knowledge, preparing them to better navigate developments in education and industry in the digital age.

    The event commenced with welcoming remarks from the Director of Public Relations and Protocol of UNIKOM, Dr. Ir. Yuni Mogot, M.Si., CPR. In her speech, Dr. Yuni expressed her gratitude and appreciation to SMK Negeri 3 Metro Lampung for selecting UNIKOM as the destination university for their educational visit and exploration of higher education. Furthermore, she explained that current technological advancements have driven significant changes across various sectors of life. According to her, digital disruption has transformed many aspects of society, requiring the younger generation to adapt, possess digital competencies, and be prepared to face future challenges.

    She also invited all participants to gain a deeper understanding of UNIKOM through a presentation on the university profile and the PIQIE culture of UNIKOM, which stands for Professionalism, Integrity, Quality, Information Technology, and Excellence. These values serve as the foundation for developing outstanding, character-driven human resources capable of competing at both national and international levels. She further introduced the campus environment and academic support facilities available at UNIKOM as a technology and innovation-based university.

    Meanwhile, Joko Sukarno, S.Pd., Head of the Computer and Network Engineering Program at SMK Negeri 3 Metro Lampung, speaking on behalf of the School Principal, delivered his remarks, stating that this educational visit is part of the school’s efforts to broaden students’ horizons and expand their perspectives on higher education and future self-development opportunities. “Through this visit, we aim to broaden the students’ horizons, helping them see where they can develop themselves and continue their education in fields they are interested in. Although we come from a regional area, we want the students to have a broad, open mindset and be ready to compete,” he explained.

    Furthermore, Joko Sukarno, S.Pd., also noted that the visit to UNIKOM left a very positive impression on the school. After seeing the campus environment, facilities, and various academic programs offered by UNIKOM firsthand, the school felt even more confident that UNIKOM is the right choice of higher education institution for their students. Additionally, Joko commended UNIKOM numerous achievements, the quality of its faculty, and the campus facilities, which he deemed highly supportive of the learning process and the development of students’ competencies. At the end of his remarks, Joko Sukarno encouraged the students not to hesitate in pursuing higher education and to remain enthusiastic about shaping their future. He hopes that this visit will inspire the students to determine a better direction for their education and careers in the future.

    The series of activities then continued with an academic presentation session by Dhika Mega Pratama, M.Ds., from UNIKOM New Student Admissions team. Speaking on behalf of UNIKOM New Student Admissions team Director, Yudistira Soegoto, S.Kom., M.Kom., he explained various details regarding the new student admission system, scholarship programs, UNIKOM’s academic strengths, and opportunities for student achievement development at both national and international levels.

    On the same occasion, the Head of the Visual Communication Design Program, Dr. Kankan Kasmana, M.Ds., in his presentation, discussed the potential of the digital creative industry, technology-based visual design development, and career prospects for graduates in the fields of design, multimedia, the creative industry, and digital branding.

    Meanwhile, the Head of the Informatics Engineering Study Program, Hanhan Maulana, M.Kom., Ph.D., explained developments in information technology, artificial intelligence, software engineering, and the wide range of career opportunities in the rapidly growing digital technology sector amid today’s digital transformation era.

    Lastly, the Head of the Computer Engineering Study Program, Dr. Susmini Indriani Lestariningati, S.T., M.T., delivered a presentation on the advantages of the Computer Engineering Study Program, developments in computer technology, and career opportunities in hardware systems, computer networks, and intelligent technologies.

    Through the visit of SMK Negeri 3 Metro Lampung, UNIKOM hopes to provide inspiration and motivation for students in preparing for higher education while also strengthening collaborative relations between UNIKOM and SMK Negeri 3 Metro Lampung in the development of technology and innovation-based education.     UNIKOM Expands the Application of Technology in Education, Services, and Student Development

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM – Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) continues to strengthen its position as a leading technology-based university by systematically integrating sophistication into the implementation of education, academic services, and student competency development.     In an interview, Director of Penerimaan Mahasiswa Baru (PMB), New Student Admissions, Yudistira Soegoto, S.Kom., M.Kom., explained that the use of technology has been applied not only in the learning process but also in the campus service system. Starting from a fully online, transparent, and accountable new student registration system to smart classroom support that allows lectures to take place both offline and online simultaneously without space and time limitations.

    One of UNIKOM’s strategic advantages is the implementation of compulsory courses that have been applied in all study programs, including Diploma, Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral levels. This policy complements the four compulsory courses, namely software, hardware, entrepreneurship, and animation, which have always been the distinguishing features of UNIKOM compared to other universities.

    Beyond the curriculum, UNIKOM is also one of the campuses that supports AI-based technology, as reflected in the development of an AI laboratory and a user-friendly, inclusive campus digital system that supports accessibility for all students.
