    APTISI Officially Inaugurates the Chairman and Management of APTISI West Java for the 2025-2030 Period: Ready to Lead Digital Transformation and Strengthen the Competitiveness of Private Universities

    BANDUNG — The Indonesian Private Higher Education Association (APTISI) officially inaugurated the APTISI West Java Executive Board for the 2025–2030 term at the Bandung Convention Center (BCC), Soekarno Hatta Street No. 345, Bandung. The inauguration marked an important milestone in strengthening the strategic role of private universities in West Java as they respond to higher education challenges in the era of digital transformation and globalization.

    The event was attended by the Chair of APTISI Central Board, the Head of APTISI West Java Province, 86 members of the APTISI West Java Executive Board, and invited guests from various stakeholders. These included representatives of the West Java Provincial Government, the West Java Regional Office of the Ministry of Law, and PT Pos Indonesia Regional 3 West Java. The inauguration of the 2025–2030 board followed the APTISI West Java Regional Assembly held on December 18, 2025. Through a formatur mechanism, the new board structure was formed representatively, involving academics, university leaders, and key figures from various private higher education institutions in West Java, with the aim of strengthening a professional, collaborative, and quality-oriented organizational structure.

    In her remarks, Steering Committee Chair Prof. Dr. Hj. Umi Narimawati, Dra., S.E., M.Si., emphasized that the inauguration was not merely a formal ceremony, but a collective commitment to deliver concrete solutions for private universities in West Java. She expressed hope that the newly appointed board would enhance synergy, collaboration, and deliver broad benefits for the development and progress of private higher education institutions in the province.

    The inauguration of the Chair and Executive Board of APTISI West Java for the 2025–2030 period was led directly by the Chair of APTISI Central Board, Dr. Ir. H. M. Budi Djatmiko, M.Si., M.E., who formally confirmed the new leadership to carry out its mandate in strengthening the strategic role of private universities as pillars of Indonesia’s human resource development, particularly in West Java. In his address, Dr. Budi stressed the importance of active participation from all board members to work collectively and in unity. He also highlighted the urgency of digital transformation in education, including the utilization of Artificial Intelligence as a strategic instrument to accelerate digitalization. According to him, mastery of AI has become essential in the current era, as institutions and individuals who fail to adapt to technological developments risk being left behind in the global higher education landscape.

    Meanwhile, the Chair of APTISI West Java for the 2025–2030 term, who also serves as Rector of UNIKOM, Prof. Dr. Ir. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., expressed gratitude and appreciation to the Chair and board of APTISI Central, university leaders, the organizing committee, and all supporting parties and partners, especially PT Pos Indonesia Regional 3 West Java and the West Java Regional Office of the Ministry of Law for their support in organizing the inauguration and strengthening synergy through the signing of a memorandum of understanding.
    “To all newly appointed board members, I extend my congratulations on the mandate entrusted to you. This responsibility represents a collective commitment to lead APTISI West Java, which encompasses more than 350 private universities, to become more solid, progressive, and impactful, in the spirit of Moving Forward Together, Advancing Together, and Succeeding Together,” he stated.

    Prof. Eddy further noted that APTISI West Java has a clear target to become the best APTISI regional board in Indonesia from its current position. “We are optimistic about achieving first place through collective effort, measurable strategies, and consistent commitment to advancing private higher education in West Java. I hope the new board will further strengthen synergy among private universities, improve academic quality, and foster innovation and institutional competitiveness at both regional and national levels,” he concluded.

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM — Thursday, February 5, 2026, the Rector of the Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) received an audience visit from PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) Regional 3 West Java. The meeting was held in the Rector’s Office on the 15th floor of the UNIKOM Smart Building, serving both as a goodwill visit and a discussion on enhancing collaboration and strategic cooperation between the university and the State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN).

    Rector of UNIKOM, who is also the Chairperson of the Association of Indonesian Private Universities (APTISI) of West Java, Prof. HC. Dr. Ir. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., directly welcomed the delegation. He was accompanied by UNIKOM Vice Rector II for Human Resources, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Agus Riyanto, S.T., M.T., CSBA., and the Head of UNIKOM’s Cooperation Division, Dr. Henike Primawanti, M.I.Pol. The delegation from PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) Regional 3 West Java was led by Rian Syahariany Syam as Executive Vice President Regional 3 Bandung, Deputy EVP Regional 3 Bandung, Imam Fahrudi, and their team.

    In an interview opportunity, Rian conveyed that the visit had two main objectives: to strengthen the long-standing relationship and partnership between PT Pos Indonesia and UNIKOM. He emphasized that UNIKOM is one of PT Pos Indonesia’s strategic partners that has long utilized various services from the company.

    Furthermore, Rian explained that future collaboration is directed towards developing joint work programs, particularly in supporting education and students. Several discussed agendas include funding support for graduation ceremonies, contributions to the field of education, and opening entrepreneurial opportunities for students by utilizing PT Pos Indonesia as a laboratory and reference for future entrepreneurs. “Students are vital national assets. Through this collaboration, PT Pos Indonesia aims to be a platform for developing students’ entrepreneurial spirit while creating mutually beneficial and sustainable cooperation between PT Pos Indonesia and UNIKOM, as well as APTISI West Java,” he stated.

    In line with this, the Head of UNIKOM’s Cooperation Division, Dr. Henike Primawanti, welcomed PT Pos Indonesia’s visit. She affirmed that UNIKOM is very open to exploring cooperation, both nationally and internationally. “UNIKOM not only opens doors for international collaboration but also strongly encourages domestic cooperation, including between universities, government, State-Owned Enterprise (BUMNs), industries, and MSMEs. In the near future, we plan concrete collaborations with PT Pos Indonesia as a form of shared commitment,” she said.

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM — On Thursday, January 29, 2026, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) officially established an academic collaboration with the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIPOL) of Universitas Kristen Indonesia (UKI) through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The event took place at the 9th floor meeting room of the Smart Building UNIKOM. 

    The MoU was signed by Prof. Dr. Hj. Dewi Kurniasih, S.IP., M.Si. (Dean of FISIP UNIKOM) and Dr. Verdinand Robertua, S.Sos., M.Soc.Sc. (Dean of FISIPOL UKI) as a form of mutual commitment to strengthen collaboration between universities. Also present at the occasion were Dr. Dewi Triwahyuni, S.IP., M.Si. (Head of the International Relations Study Program, UNIKOM), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nia Karniawati, S.IP., M.Si. (Head of the Government Science Study Program, UNIKOM), Andrias Darmayadi, S.IP., M.Si., Ph.D. (Director of Student Affairs), and Dr. Henike Primawanti, M.I.Pol. (Head of the Cooperation Division of UNIKOM and a permanent lecturer in the International Relations Study Program). 

    In an interview, the Dean of FISIP UNIKOM, Prof. Dewi, stated that being selected as a partner by FISIPOL UKI is both an honor and a meaningful form of trust for her institution. She emphasized that the signing of this MoU is not merely a formal agenda but will be immediately followed up through the drafting and implementation of a MoA by the respective heads of study programs within FISIP UNIKOM and FISIPOL UKI. 

    Furthermore, Prof. Dewi stated that one of the strengths of FISIP UNIKOM lies in its extensive academic network at the national level. FISIP UNIKOM is a member of the forum of deans of communication, social, and political sciences throughout Indonesia and has established various MoUs with several universities. This serves as value and attraction for FISIP UNIKOM to continue to be trusted as a strategic partner in the development of academic cooperation. 

    Meanwhile, the Dean of FISIPOL UKI, Dr. Verdinand, expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the warm welcome given by FISIP UNIKOM. He said that the scope of the agreed cooperation covers various fields, with the primary focus on the implementation of the Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi (Three Pillars of Higher Education), which will be implemented concretely through the MoA. He hoped that this cooperation could have a real and sustainable impact, particularly in improving the quality of learning, fostering research collaboration, and strengthening community service programs. This synergy is also expected to open up wider opportunities for students and lecturers to engage in innovative academic activities that are relevant to scientific developments in the social and political fields. 

    The collaboration between FISIP UNIKOM and FISIPOL UKI demonstrates the shared vision and commitment of both faculties, representing a strategic step in strengthening the national academic network while continuously improving the quality of the Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi implementation.     UNIKOM PEDULI: Distributes Humanitarian Aid to Landslide Disaster Victims in Cisarua, West Bandung

    BANDUNG UNIKOM — Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) demonstrated its commitment to humanitarian action by distributing aid to victims of the landslide that occurred in Cisarua District, West Bandung Regency, on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. The aid was symbolically handed over by the Director of Student Affairs of UNIKOM, Andrias Darmayadi, S.IP., M.Si., Ph.D., together with representatives of UNIKOM student to the Cisarua Landslide Disaster Relief Command Post. The distribution of aid is part of the “UNIKOM PEDULI” program as a form of empathy and solidarity from the academic community towards the disaster-affected community. 

    The logistical aid distributed includes ready-to-eat meals, emergency food supplies, children’s milk, blankets and mats, men’s and women’s underwear, and medications for first aid and prevention of minor illnesses at the evacuation site. According to online news portal metrotvnews.com, the landslide disaster that occurred in the early hours of Saturday, 24 January 2026, has caused deep sorrow. Dozens of fatalities have been evacuated and identified, while a number of other victims remain missing. These conditions prompted UNIKOM to take immediate action in providing assistance to the affected community. 

    In his statement, Andrias, Ph.D., expressed his deep concern over the disaster.  “Of course, we are very concerned about the disaster that has befallen people in Cisarua, West Bandung Regency. To help the disaster victims, the Rector of UNIKOM, Prof. 3 Prof. HC. Dr. Ir. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., immediately instructed the Directorate of Student Affairs and student organizations, including BEM, BLM, UKM, and HIMA, to immediately provide direct assistance to the affected victims. “May the concern of the Rector and the entire UNIKOM academic community alleviate the burden and assist the affected residents and victims,” he said. 

    Through this humanitarian action, UNIKOM reaffirms its role not only as an educational institution but also as a responsive and caring member of society, responsive to social and humanitarian issues.     BANDUNG, UNIKOM — Thursday, January 29th, 2026, Bimbingan Konseling, Karier Lulusan, dan Alumni Division (BKKLA) of the Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) officially held the launch of the “UNIKOM Career Portal”. Held at the Miracle Auditorium on the 4th floor of UNIKOM Campus I, this event was a strategic initiative by BKKLA UNIKOM in collaboration with Kinobi to strengthen career guidance for students and alumni.

    Kinobi is a digital career development platform focused on connecting students, fresh graduates, and young professionals with companies, industries, and educational institutions. In Indonesia, Kinobi is recognized as a career ecosystem that not only provides job listings but also supports competency mapping, employability enhancement, and university-industry collaboration.

    The Vice Rector I for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Hj. Umi Narimawati, Dra., S.E., M.Si., along with the Deans, Directors, and Heads of Study Programs at UNIKOM, as well as the Head of the Cooperation Division were present at the event. The presence of university leadership reflects full support for the career development program initiated by BKKLA UNIKOM.

    Furthermore, Prof. Umi added that this career platform is not only beneficial for students and alumni, but can also be accessed by lecturers to understand industry needs and career development opportunities within UNIKOM.     Meanwhile, in an interview, the Head of UNIKOM’s BKKLA Division, Dr. Nungki Heriyati, S.S., M.A., explained that the event was part of a career mentoring seminar series designed to help students prepare for their professional future, particularly in creating Curriculum Vitae (CV). Through the collaboration with Kinobi, UNIKOM’s BKKLA also officially launched the UNIKOM job portal, which can be utilized by all members of the academic community, especially students and alumni from various alumni. This platform will also be accessible via the official UNIKOM CDC website.

    The sequence of activities continued with the launch of the “UNIKOM Career Portal” by the Vice Rector I and other leaders. The seminar also included a training session on creating a Curriculum Vitae (CV) delivered directly by Najla Afiyah, Customer Success Associate at Kinobi. The session provided practical guidance to students on how to create a professional, relevant, and competitive CV in line with the standards required in the world of work.Through the launch of the “UNIKOM Career Portal” and the career guidance seminar, BKKLA UNIKOM reaffirmed its role as a frontrunner in career development services, presenting continuous innovations that bridge UNIKOM students and alumni to the world of work and industry in a more focused and integrated manner.

    BANDUNG, UNIKOM — Kicking off 2026 with a spirit of consolidation and quality enhancement, the Directorate of Journals and Scientific Publications of Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) held an early-year journal management meeting alongside the handover of Editorial Board Decrees on Thursday, January 29, 2026. Taking place at Meeting Room L.030, Smart Building UNIKOM, the event marked a strategic step toward strengthening governance quality and enhancing the competitiveness of UNIKOM’s scientific publications at both national and international levels.

    The meeting was led directly by the Director of Journals and Scientific Publications, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Poni Sukaesih Kurniati, S.IP., M.Si., and was attended by all journal managers within the UNIKOM environment. In her opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Poni expressed her hope that 2026 would bring prosperity and significant progress for all UNIKOM journals.

    On the occasion, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Poni also presented the latest achievements and current standing of UNIKOM journals in the Science and Technology Index (SINTA). At present, a total of 29 UNIKOM journals have been indexed in SINTA, with one journal ranked at SINTA 2 and 14 journals positioned at SINTA 4. In addition, several journals are categorized under SINTA 5 and SINTA 6 as national journals.

    Regarding international journals, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Poni explained that among UNIKOM’s 10 international journals, three have reached the SINTA 4 and SINTA 5 categories, five journals are still undergoing strengthening processes toward indexing, and two journals are currently inactive and have become the focus of further evaluation and mentoring. “This represents a substantial collective task, particularly for international journals, both in terms of system strengthening, journal activation, and application readiness,” she stated.

    Furthermore, Dr. Poni reminded all journal managers of the importance of preparing for national journal accreditation. She outlined nine key accreditation indicators that must be continuously addressed, ranging from journal naming and age, publisher institutionalization, editorial management, to governance quality and journal sustainability.

    Following the presentation and completion of the meeting agenda, the event continued with the handover of Editorial Board Decrees to each UNIKOM journal management team. The handover officially confirmed the journal governance structure and symbolized institutional commitment to strengthening the roles and responsibilities of journal managers within UNIKOM.Through this early-year meeting, the Directorate of Journals and Scientific Publications of UNIKOM reaffirmed its commitment to continuously enhancing the quality, professionalism, and competitiveness of UNIKOM’s scientific journals.     Abstract

    The main objective of this research is to design a cargo vehicle monitoring system. The method used to limit the path is geofencing. The web application will limit the path to be traversed, so the warning alarm on the server will light up when the vehicle exits the specified paths. The advantage of this design is that the required power is taken from the battery, so there is no need to take power from the car battery. The battery will be charged by using a solar cell. On the hardware side, Arduino UNO is used as the main processor. Arduino will receive data from the GPS module then sent it to the server via the GSM GPRS module. On the software side, the data that has been received will be saved to the database, parsed, compared to the specified line limit and will be displayed on the web application. The results of this study are a model tool for monitoring cargo vehicles with the limitation of lanes and renewable resources. With this model, it is expected that it can help the entrepreneurs of goods delivery services to monitor their vehicle. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

    Abstract

    Nowadays, electricity has become a priority in daily life and can even be considered as a primary human need. On the other hand, the excessive use of electricity or energy and the increase in population is one of the factors that can increase energy requirements. In Indonesia, the use of electricity comes from very limited natural resources. Therefore, energy savings should be implemented, either by using as necessary or even making an update that can sustain existing electrical energy. Apart from saving energy, it would be better to create new energy with minimal effort. Like producing energy from daily human activities, one of it is walking. The result is the creation of Kinetic Paving material technology that when people step on it will produce electricity. The benefits of this technology can create electricity that can be used for the environment of this kinetic paving. As for lighting in paving as lighting art or as a source of energy for surrounding buildings. Kinetic Paving is applied in pedestrian traffic spaces. This energy is expected to help the community and the surrounding environment. This is an update that should have been implemented.     Abstract

    The process of converting analog files into digital files in the archiving process is a routine activity that needs to have appropriate procedures and is accompanied by a study of the profits and risks that accompany the process. The method of the research to solve this problem was by risk management approach refer to ISO/TR 18128 about risk assessment of recording data and ISO 22301 about Business Continuity Management (BCM). Through risk management, risk analysis review is conducted which determines the risk identification, risk assessment, risk evaluation, and strategies to enhance the ability to handle the digitization process. In other hands, business continuity management provides the potential benefit from the digitization process and guarantee of maintaining a reliable system. The companies to be observed are University, Government, and Financial Company (FC). The discussions are about the risk treatment with the strategy to reduce it and the comparison of maturity BCM from every companies.
