    DOI: 10.1088/1757-899X/407/1/012150

    Abstract

There are still many Indonesian Migrant Workers, or commonly reffered to as Tenaga Kerja Indonesia (TKI), who are involved in criMinality whether as the victim or under criMinal prosecution while working abroad. This indicates that the involvement of stakeholders including the government in protecting TKI has not yet been maximized. The existing efforts only focus on law and regulation and lack in quick and proper response. These issues can ideally be Minimized if there is a form of continuous communication between migrant workers and the stakeholders during TKI placement. This research focus on analyzing the requirements to develop TKI protection information system. The requirements are obtained through SWOT analysis. The results show that TKI need to make regular reports through the information system. System then monitors TKI condition overtime to assess their situations and notifies government and/or other stakeholders if any response needs to be taken. Through this information system analysis, the model for TKI monitoring information system that connects every stakeholders is developed. It is expected that this work would provide government a model for information system to assist TKI work safely and comfortably. TKI will have confident that they are with caring government. Therefore various issues that occur can be dealt seriously, quickly, and appropriately. Β© Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Authors: Siphimvadee Suthakavatin, Khodor Shatila, Karine Aydinyan, Raeni Dewi Santy

    DOI: 10.1051/bioconf/202414506013

    Abstract

This study explores the role of environmental policy in promoting the adoption of green transportation technologies, focusing on the effects of financial incentives, regulatory frameworks, and public investment in infrastructure across key Asian urban centres. The research highlights how technological innovation acts as a crucial mediator between policy measures and the adoption of sustainable transportation options such as electric vehicles (EVs) and hydrogen-powered vehicles. Using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM), the study examines the relationships between these factors, demonstrating that higher levels of financial incentives, supportive regulations, and strategic public investment lead to significant advancements in technological innovation, which in turn drives the adoption of green transportation technologies. The findings contribute to the broader understanding of sustainable urban mobility solutions and offer important insights for policymakers and industry stakeholders in regions experiencing rapid urbanization. The study also discusses the dual role of these policy drivers, both in directly influencing adoption and in fostering technological advancement. Β© The Authors, published by EDP Sciences.

    DOI: 10.1063/5.0254818

    Abstract

Currently, many people use public open spaces for various activities, such as sports, meetings, and recreation. The existence of public open spaces is one of the main needs, especially in urban areas. Public open spaces are also created to provide comfort to the surrounding community in their activities and interactions in them. Especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, where people are bored with the limitations of their activities and they prefer parks that are considered safer for recreation areas. One of the public open spaces in Bandung which is visited by quite a lot of people is Teras Cikapundung Park which is located on Jl. Siliwangi, Cidadap District, Bandung City. This study aims to find out favorite places/preferences in the landscape area in Teras Cikapundung Park based on visitor activities. The research method used descriptive quantitative methods, such as observations, surveys, and distributing research questionnaires to visitors at Teras Cikapundung Park. The results showed that the amphitheater area is one of the favorite landscape areas that is most often visited in groups because it is the largest area in Teras Cikapundung Park which can accommodate enough visitors to carry out various activities that are safer to do by implementing fairly good health protocols. The activities carried out at the amphitheater include morning exercises, community gatherings, discussions and talks, and taking selfies. The results of this study can be used as a planning strategy for designing landscape elements in urban open spaces to improve people’s quality of life. Β© 2025 Author(s).

  • Predicting Covid-19 Cases Using Hybrid Arimax-Bidirectional LSTM Model

Predicting Covid-19 Cases Using Hybrid Arimax-Bidirectional LSTM Model

Authors: Nugroho Widyanto, Jin-Whan Kim, Umi Narimawati

    Abstract:

Currently, there has been improvement in the handling of the pandemic with the availability of vaccines, which has had an impact on improving the economy and starting to return to normal community activities. However, further studies are still needed. So that this pandemic condition can be anticipated in the future, there must be a model that can predict future COVID-19 cases, so that each country can anticipate it by implementing more appropriate policies and handling. In this research, we will propose 2 methods that are popularly used in the case of time-series forecasting involving other factors in the regression model, namely ARIMAX, which is very superior in predicting linear (stationary) models, and bidirectional LSTM, which is a better development than LSTM, which can predict non-linear (non-stationary) models. The hybrid approach used for these two models is expected to provide much better prediction results with a smaller error range, as well as reducing existing variations, compared to using both methods separately. The process of creating a hybrid ARIMAX-Bidirectional LSTM model involves six sub-processes: data transformation using ARIMAX, data normalization (min-max scaling), feature selection using a genetic algorithm, hyper-parameter tuning for ARIMA models and bidirectional LSTM models, prediction models with bidirectional LSTM, and lastly the creation of a hybrid model. The hybrid model was proven to provide much better prediction results than the models run individually. The ARIMAX-Bidirectional LSTM hybrid model has also been proven to be better than the ARIMAX-LSTM hybrid model, as well as other deep learning-based hybrid models. Even though the ARIMAX-Bidirectional LSTM hybrid model can provide very good predictions, its implementation has not been widely carried out, so it is an excellent opportunity to carry out research on its use and utilization.
