On December 20, 2025, King Sejong Institute Bandung 1 UNIKOM held a Completion Ceremony for students who were officially declared to have successfully completed the Korean language learning program throughout 2025. The event took place at the Miracle Auditorium of Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM).
The Completion Ceremony aimed to provide appreciation and recognition to learners who had successfully completed the Korean language program, while also serving as a moment of reflection on the efforts and achievements attained during the learning process. In addition, the event sought to strengthen relationships and cooperation among King Sejong Institute, learners, and instructors.
In 2025, a total of 299 students participated in the Korean language learning program at King Sejong Institute Bandung 1 UNIKOM, with 230 students officially declared as graduates. Among them, 31 students from Universitas Komputer Indonesia, specifically from the International Relations Study Program, successfully completed the program and achieved graduation status.
The ceremony was attended by the Director of International Affairs and Collaboration of UNIKOM, Associate Professor Inta Budi Setya Nusa, S.E., M.Ak., along with representatives from the Office of International Affairs UNIKOM. The event was also attended by a native speaker instructor from Youngsan University, Mrs. Kim Nayeon, who provided encouragement and motivation to the participants.
The series of activities during the Completion Ceremony included the distribution of graduation certificates to students, as well as a workshop on crafting keychains using traditional Korean knots. This workshop was designed to offer participants direct exposure to Korean cultural experiences.

BANDUNG, UNIKOM — Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM), through the Directorate of International Programs (DIP) officially opened the UNIKOM Student Course and Heritage for Overseas Learning and Academic Research (SCHOLAR) on Friday, October 24, 2025, held at the 17th floor Auditorium of the UNIKOM Smart Building. UNIKOM SCHOLAR is UNIKOM’s flagship International Student Exchange program designed to strengthen academic collaboration and cultural exchange between UNIKOM students and participants coming to UNIKOM from various countries. This activity is one of UNIKOM’s strategic initiatives in strengthening the internationalization of higher education towards becoming a World Class University (WCU) while introducing the richness of Indonesian culture to foreign students through a sustainable academic and collaborative approach.
On this occasion, the Rector of UNIKOM, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, M.T., Vice Rector I for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Hj. Umi Narimawati, Dra., S.E., M.Si., Vice Rector II for Resources, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Agus Riyanto, S.T., M.T., CSBA., Vice Rector IV for Digital Technology & ICT, International Programs, and Center of Excellence, Prof. Ir. Zainal Arifin Hasibuan, Ph.D., and other leaders, including Deans, Heads of Study Programs at UNIKOM, respectable guests from abroad, Prof. Bettina Meiser, Assoc. Prof. Dr Abdulkareem Sh., Dr. Praveena Nair and Erica Matano, B.A., as well as UNIKOM SCHOLAR students from various foreign universities, including: Sultan Zainal Abidin University (Malaysia), University of Malaysia Terengganu, INTI International University (Malaysia), MDIS Tashkent (Uzbekistan), and UzSWLU (Uzbekistan State World Languages University).
The Director of International Program UNIKOM and head of the event, Dr. Senny Luckyardi, S.P., M.M., delivered an activity report and explained the objectives of the SCHOLAR program. “Through this program, we will work together to provide community service, preserve the environment, and learn about culture, technology, and various other fields of knowledge. This program also serves to strengthen friendship, cooperation, and collaboration between countries. I am confident that the experience gained here will open opportunities for you to return to UNIKOM in the future, whether to continue your studies, conduct research, or establish other academic collaborations.” Dr. Senny also advised all UNIKOM SCHOLAR participants, “I advise and hope that SCHOLAR students will have memorable and meaningful experiences that will foster your energy, attention, and dedication to contribute to broader global goals,” she concluded.
Vice Rector IV for Digital Technology & ICT, International Programs, and Center of Excellence, Prof. Ir. Zainal, in his speech said that through the SCHOLAR program, UNIKOM seeks to strengthen recognition, understanding of one another, and learning about different cultures, languages, and social values with participants from various countries. These are the things that will unite us as part of a connected world. Furthermore, Prof. Zainal said, “I hope this moment will be a memorable and meaningful beginning for all of us. This activity is not the end, but the beginning of ongoing collaboration, both in academic and cultural fields. Once again, welcome to UNIKOM, welcome to Bandung, and welcome to Indonesia. The activity continued with the pinning of SCHOLAR participant badges by the Rector of UNIKOM, accompanied by performances of Lengser and Degung Sunda by the UNIKOM Sadaya Student Activity Group, as a symbol of West Java’s traditional welcome to guests of honor. The festivities continued with traditional Merak and Jaipong dance performances, song performances by UTV, and a captivating performance by the UNIKOM Student Choir that amazed all attendees. Additionally, the lecturer and buddy introduction session was an important part of the event, introducing the accompanying lecturers and local students who will collaborate with international participants throughout the program.
Through the UNIKOM SCHOLAR program, UNIKOM reaffirms its commitment to providing globally competitive higher education focused on technological innovation, excellent research, and the preservation of local cultural values. BANDUNG, UNIKOM – On Saturday, October 11, 2025, Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) welcomed a visit from Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta. The visit was welcomed directly by the Director of International Affairs & Cooperation UNIKOM, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Inta Budi Setya Nusa, S.E., M.Ak., along with his team. The UPNVJ delegation included the Head of the International Affairs Office (KUI) of UPNVJ, accompanied by two KUI staff members, two faculty advisors, and 17 students, consisting of seven UPNVJ students and ten international students currently studying at UPNVJ. This visit also aimed to serve as a platform for academic dialogue and cultural exchange between students from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at UPNVJ and UNIKOM students.
During the visit, UPNVJ students also had the opportunity to see UNIKOM’s excellent facilities, including the UTV studio, which is a center for creative content and digital media development, and the Animation Division, which is known for its innovative and collaborative works in the creative industry.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Inta Budi said that the visit was a follow-up to the previous collaboration between UNIKOM and UPNVJ. “This is the second visit as a form of continued collaboration between the two universities. On this occasion, we scheduled a discussion session between the International Relations Study Program of UNIKOM and the foreign and regular students from UPNVJ. This activity is part of a mobility activity that aims to broaden students’ knowledge and experience, especially in exchanging ideas and building cross-cultural academic networks,” he said.
The main agenda of the visit continued with an interactive talk show featuring student representatives from the Governance Science, Communication Science, and International Relations Study Programs at UPNVJ as well as FISIP UNIKOM students.
During the session, participants discussed the role of students in research collaboration, cultural diplomacy, and global contributions in the digital era. The visit also served as an academic networking event between UNIKOM students and UPNVJ foreign students from various countries. The participants exchanged views on the education system, their study experiences in Indonesia, and opportunities for collaborative research in the future. The atmosphere was warm and interactive, reflecting the spirit of “Global Friendship through Education,” which is the spirit of both universities.
On this occasion, Masitado, a regular student from Indonesia, and Majidali from Pakistan, who is a foreign student at UPNVJ, also shared their impressions and messages after touring the UNIKOM campus. Both said that the visit was their first time and left a deep impression on them. They were impressed by UNIKOM’s comprehensive and modern facilities and infrastructure, and felt that the academic atmosphere was different and inspiring, especially in the field of digital media. For both of them, the visit was a valuable experience that broadened their knowledge and motivated them to pursue their studies in Indonesia.

On Monday, October 6, 2025, UNIKOM received an honorary visit from Professor Mohamad Bashar Arafat, Ph.D., founder and President of the Civilizations Exchange and Cooperation Foundation (CECF) United States, a non-profit organization focused on bringing together cross-cultural communities to promote peace, mutual respect, and cooperation between civilizations.

The discussion was lively and productive, with the main agenda focusing on CECF programs and long-term collaboration plans between CECF and UNIKOM. Both parties highlighted the importance of higher education in shaping a young generation with a global outlook, cultural tolerance, and a spirit of peaceful diplomacy.
The results of the discussion between the President of CECF and UNIKOM included various forms of strategic collaboration, such as guest lecture programs, student exchange programs, and a number of non-academic activities oriented towards character development, global leadership, and strengthening international networks. These initiatives are expected to support UNIKOM in realizing its vision of becoming a World Class University (WCU) by expanding the scope of global cooperation and increasing international exposure for students and academics.
Professor Arafat appreciated UNIKOM efforts in continuing to open up opportunities for international cooperation based on humanitarian values. He emphasized that education plays a crucial role in building bridges between nations and fostering cross-cultural understanding that can reduce conflict and strengthen social cohesion.
Vice Rector I for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Umi, said that in the future there will be many opportunities for collaboration offered by Prof. Arafat to UNIKOM. In addition, in January, Prof. Arafat will be a guest speaker at a seminar in Bali, in which UNIKOM lecturers will also participate. Furthermore, Prof. Umi expressed her appreciation and gratitude to Prof. Arafat for his support and cooperation initiatives, which are expected to further strengthen UNIKOM’s steps in realizing its vision of becoming a WCU.
The Director of International Programs, Dr. Senny, and the Director of International Affairs & Cooperation, Dr. Inta, also expressed their expectations that this visit would further expand UNIKOM’s networking and strengthen its international cooperation, especially with partners in the United States (US).
After the official meeting, Professor Arafat also had the opportunity to visit the UNIKOM Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Graduation Ceremony, which was taking place in the Miracle Auditorium, 4th Floor, UNIKOM Campus 1. In front of the students, he delivered an inspiring message about the importance of being agents of peace and tolerance in an increasingly connected global world.

BANDUNG, UNIKOM – The Open Senate Meeting of the Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) on the occasion of New Student Admissions (PMB) for the 2025/2026 Academic Year, held on Monday, September 22, 2025, at the Ganesha Cultural Center (Sabuga), was attended by two international guests of honor, Prof. Dustnazar Omonovich Khimmataliev and Prof. Jabbor Eshbekovich Usarov from Chirchiq Davlat Pedagogica Universiteti, Uzbekistan.
Previously, UNIKOM Rector and Head of APTISI West Java, Prof. Eddy, received three honorary degrees (Honoris Causa) from three different universities in Uzbekistan, namely Ijtimoiy Va Siyosiy Fanlar Instituti (ISFI), Chirchiq Davlat Pedagogica Universiteti, Uzbekistan, and Sarbon University. These prestigious awards were given as a form of international recognition for Prof. Eddy’s dedication to the development of higher education, particularly his contribution to improving the quality of private universities in Indonesia.
The presence of the two professors at the open senate session for the admission of new students for the 2025/2026 academic year and UNIKOM’s 25th anniversary symbolized the close academic relationship between UNIKOM and universities in Uzbekistan, as well as confirming UNIKOM’s position as a university that is increasingly active in establishing international collaborations.
