BANDUNG, UNIKOM – Wednesday, August 20, 2025, Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) received a visit from the Foreign Policy Community of Indonesia (FPCI) in the Grand Meeting Room on the 15th floor of the UNIKOM Smart Building. The purpose of the visit was to strengthen cooperation and open up opportunities for collaboration in developing the capacity of students and lecturers in the field of foreign policy.
FPCI itself is an independent and non-partisan organization established in 2015, widely known for its role in encouraging young people and the community to actively participate in discussions on international issues. FPCI is one of the largest grassroots foreign policy communities in Southeast Asia, with a network of more than 100,000 members in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.
At the meeting, Herdho Akmala, Coordinator of FPCI University Chapters, was present alongside Dianova, Partnership and Project Administration Officer, representing Dr. Dino Patti Djalal, Founder and Chair of FPCI. Representing UNIKOM was the Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dewi Kurniasih, S.IP., M.Si., Director of Student Affairs, Andrias Darmayadi, S.I.P., M.Si., Ph.D., Director of International Programs, Dr. Senny Luckyardi, S.P., M.M., Deputy Director of International Affairs & Cooperation, Dr. Salmon Priaji Martana, S.T., M.T. , Head of the International Relations Study Program, Dr. Dewi Triwahyuni, S.IP., M.Si., Head of the Cooperation Division, Dr. Henike Primawati, S.IP., M.I.Pol., and Arif Try Cahyadi, M.Ds., as Head of the Public Relations and Information Communication Division.
The nearly hour-long hearing discussed three main focuses, including: evaluation of FPCI’s contribution to the UNIKOM campus environment, presentation of the organization’s mission and strategic direction, and exploration of opportunities for future collaboration. One of FPCI’s flagship initiatives is FPCI University Chapters, a network of student organizations that is now present in more than 50 universities throughout Indonesia. Through this program, FPCI invites students and lecturers from various disciplines at UNIKOM to actively participate in activities related to international relations, public diplomacy, and global issues.
Dr. Senny said, “we hope that the collaboration between UNIKOM and FPCI will lead to the organization of international events involving companies and global stakeholders. With strong network synergy, we are confident that UNIKOM can take significant steps to become a World Class University (WCU),” she concluded.
In line with this, Dianova revealed the reason for choosing UNIKOM as a partner, “We chose UNIKOM as a partner for FPCI cooperation because UNIKOM is one of the private universities in West Java that has enormous potential in terms of student and lecturer activity, especially in the fields of research and teaching, and has a vision and mission that is in line with that of FPCI. We also want to help UNIKOM achieve its goal of becoming a WCU campus,” he said. This activity is a strategic step to strengthen cooperation in the field of foreign policy, while opening up opportunities for academic and international research collaboration. This collaboration is expected to strengthen UNIKOM’s position towards becoming a World Class University (WCU) and increase the contribution of Indonesia’s young generation in the international arena.
