Design Festival 2026: A Platform For Collaboration And Creative Expression, Unikom Hima Dkv & Dg Provides A Space For Young Designers To Express Their Creativity

BANDUNG, UNIKOM – To foster student creativity, the Visual Communication Design and Graphic Design Student Association (HIMA DKV & DG) at the Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) once again demonstrated its commitment by organizing the 2026 Design Festival (HADE) themed “Where Every Piece Shines Together,” held over two days, Wednesday and Thursday, July 15–16, 2026. Held at the UNIKOM Volleyball Court, the event attracted more than 500 participants, including members of the academic community and the general public.

Embracing the spirit of collaboration and appreciation for students’ creative works, HADE 2026 featured a variety of inspiring activities, ranging from an Art Exhibition, Creative Talks, Workshops, a bazaar, a Fashion Show, to an Awarding Night a celebration honoring the best works by UNIKOM students in Visual Communication Design (VCD) and Graphic Design (GD).

The opening ceremony of HADE 2026 was a lively event and was attended by the Head of the VCD Program at UNIKOM, Dr. Kankan Kasmana, S.Sn., M.Ds., and the Head of the Graphic Design Program at UNIKOM, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rini Maulina, M.Sn., the Coordinator of Student Affairs for UNIKOM’s VCD program, Achmad Deptian Djenuari Rizky, M.Ds., the Coordinator of Student Affairs for UNIKOM’s GD program, Ivan Kurniawan, M.Ds., faculty members, the executive boards of the VCD and GD Student Associations (HIMA), students, and the general public. The presence of the university leadership and faculty members serves as a tangible demonstration of support for fostering students’ creativity and innovation through both academic and non-academic activities.

Adi Wijaya Kusuma, Executive Chair of HADE 2026, expressed his appreciation in his opening remarks to all faculty members, invited guests, committee members, and students who contributed to the event’s success. According to him, HADE is not merely a platform for showcasing works but also a space for students to inspire one another, expand their networks, and enjoy the creative process in a warm and collaborative atmosphere.

In line with this, the Chair of the UNIKOM Visual Communication Design and Graphic Design Student Association (Hima DKV & DG), Muhammad Faisal Hafiz, explained that the theme “Where Every Piece Shines Together” represents the diversity of ideas, personalities, and potential of each student, all of which complement one another in producing creative works. Through this theme, HADE 2026 is expected to serve as a platform for appreciating all works by students in UNIKOM’s Visual Communication Design and Graphic Design programs.

Over the two-day event, participants took part in various activities designed to broaden their horizons and enhance their competencies in the creative industry. One activity that garnered significant attention was the Creative Talk titled “Perspectives of Creative Professionals on AI,” featuring Irvan Alfian, Creative Director of Nolla Studio. During this session, participants gained insights into the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the creative industry, as well as the challenges and opportunities faced by designers in the era of digital transformation.

In addition, participants also attended the “Beads Buddy” Workshop led by Naila, a 2024 Visual Communication Design student, who shared her experience in building a creative business based on craft art. The workshop inspired students to transform their creativity into economically viable business opportunities. The event series was further enlivened by a Fashion Show and an Awarding Night, which recognized the best works across various categories as a form of appreciation for the students’ creativity and dedication.

The Coordinator of Student Affairs for the Visual Communication Design (DKV) program at UNIKOM, Achmad Deptian Djenuari Rizky, M.Ds., expressed his appreciation in his remarks to the entire organizing committee and the DKV & DG Student Association (Hima) at UNIKOM for their dedication and hard work in organizing HADE 2026. He hopes this event will serve as motivation for students to continue producing their best work not only as part of the academic process but also as a tangible contribution to the development of the creative industry and society.

The success of HADE 2026 demonstrates the high level of enthusiasm among students for fostering creativity, innovation, and collaboration. More than just an exhibition of student work, the event served as a gathering that strengthened bonds among students across different graduating classes while fostering a culture of collaboration within UNIKOM’s Visual Communication Design and Graphic Design programs. Fostering Impactful Community Service Through An International Workshop: Unikom Faculty Of Design And Iysa Strengthen The Creative Competencies Of The Younger Generation

BANDUNG, UNIKOM – As a tangible manifestation of impactful and sustainable community service, the Faculty of Design at the Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) has established a strategic collaboration with the International Young Scientists Association (IYSA) to organize an international workshop for junior high school (SMP) and senior high school (SMA) students on Thursday, July 9, 2026, held in the 6th-floor classroom of the UNIKOM Smart Building. The event, which involved all departments within the UNIKOM Faculty of Design from the Visual Communication Design (DKV), Graphic Design (DG), and Interior Design (DI) programs to the Master of Design (MDS) program aimed to hone creativity while equipping the younger generation with practical skills. Not only does the program focus on fostering cultural values and innovation, but it also aims to promote financial independence and efficiency by applying design principles as concrete solutions to improve the standard of living for the community.

This Community Service Program (PKM) featured two main activities designed to enhance participants’ knowledge and skills. The first class, titled “Paper Sculpture Amazing Pop-Up,” was led by Dr. Yully Ambarsih Ekawardhani, S.Sn., M.Sn., while the second class focused on “Smartphone Modeling Photography,” led by Adityo B. Hardoyo, M.Ds. The workshop activities in both sessions were made possible by the active collaboration of faculty members from the UNIKOM Faculty of Design, who served as speakers, mentors, and committee members. Additionally, the active involvement of students on the organizing committee made a significant contribution to ensuring that the entire workshop series ran smoothly and interactively.

The Executive Chair of the Organizing Committee and Head of the Visual Communication Design Program at UNIKOM, Dr. Kankan Kasmana, S.Sn., M.Ds., explained that there was high enthusiasm for this international workshop, which was attended by participants ranging from junior high school (SMP) to senior high school (SMA) students. “Through this event, we hope that students will not only gain new and enjoyable knowledge but also be able to apply it directly. They learned to create artworks using paper during the paper sculpture session and to understand professional photography techniques using only their smartphones,” said Dr. Kankan.

Furthermore, Dr. Kankan emphasized that the workshop served as a strategic platform for faculty members to directly transfer their knowledge to the community as a form of academic dedication. This ongoing collaboration between UNIKOM’s Faculty of Design and the International Young Scientists Association (IYSA) is an annual event, and this marks the third competition held at UNIKOM. The implementation of this program serves as tangible evidence of UNIKOM’s Faculty of Design’s commitment to delivering community service that has a broad and sustainable impact, while also serving as a strategic step in consistently improving the quality of education and developing the community’s creative capacity.

Meanwhile, the head of the “Paper Sculpture Amazing Pop-Up” Community Service (PKM) team, Dr. Yully Ambarsih Ekawardhani, S.Sn., M.Sn., explained that participants were equipped with technical knowledge regarding the basic principles of paper mechanics, which include the art of folding, cutting, and gluing. According to her, the activity served as an effective promotional tool to introduce the creative aspects of the Visual Communication Design program to the younger generation. “This activity centered on the theme of Indonesian folklore, particularly fables or animal stories, which were then transformed into captivating pop-up designs. Through this approach, we not only hone the participants’ design skills but also instill a sense of pride in the nation’s cultural heritage in a contemporary and innovative way,” said Dr. Yully. Thus, the international workshop organized by UNIKOM Faculty of Design in collaboration with IYSA serves as tangible evidence of a strategic commitment to collaboration in delivering community service programs that are both impactful and sustainable. By combining conventional methods through paper sculpture with the use of modern technology via smartphone photography, this initiative successfully demonstrated that creative synergy can produce innovative works of high social and economic value. Through interactive knowledge transfer, UNIKOM Faculty of Design has not only succeeded in honing the technical skills of the younger generation but has also successfully preserved Indonesia’s cultural heritage while fostering financial independence for the community through sustainable design efficiency and innovation. Unikom Faculty Of Design’s Visual Communication Design And Graphic Design Study Programs Prepare Students For Their Final Projects Through A Creative Seminar On Industrial Design And Public Speaking

BANDUNG, UNIKOM – Thursday, July 1, 2026, the Visual Communication Design (VCD) and Graphic Design study programs at the Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) held a Seminar on Theses and Final Projects for the Even Semester of the 2025/2026 Academic Year, held in the 4th-floor auditorium of the UNIKOM Miracle Building. Under the theme “Creative Chat! Exploring Industrial Design and the Power of Public Speaking,” the event served as a platform to equip students in preparing their final projects while also helping them face the challenges of an increasingly dynamic professional world.

The Chair of the Final Project Seminar Organizing Committee, Dhika Mega Pratama, M.Ds., expressed gratitude in his report for the enthusiasm shown by the participants. He noted that the seminar was attended by 134 students currently enrolled in Final Project (TA) and thesis courses, as well as faculty members and members of the general public. He hoped that all students would participate in the entire series of activities until completion to gain the maximum benefit.

Meanwhile, the Final Project and Thesis Coordinator for UNIKOM Visual Communication Design (VCD) Program, Deni Albar, S.Sn., M.Ds., noted in his remarks that the presence of the two guest speakers Arman Sidik and Gita Andriani was by no means coincidental. “We selected them because they possess experience and expertise highly relevant to the needs of students currently working on their final projects. Kang Arman is a design practitioner with extensive professional experience. He has been in the same position as our students are now, so the insights he shares are expected to provide both inspiration and a realistic picture of the creative industry. Meanwhile, Gita Andriani is both a practitioner and a trainer in the field of public speaking. The ability to convey ideas and present work effectively is one of the key competencies students must possess, especially when facing seminars or final project defense sessions,” he explained.

The series of activities continued with an opening address by the Head of the Visual Communication Design Study Program at UNIKOM, Dr. Kankan Kasmana, S.Sn., M.Ds., in his capacity as representative of the Dean of the Faculty of Design, Prof. Dr. Lia Warlina, M.Si, Ir. In his remarks, he noted that the Thesis and Final Project Seminar is a regular annual event held as part of the preparation for students nearing the completion of their studies. According to him, the seminar is intended to help students overcome “mental blocks,” particularly the perception that graduates of private universities have limited opportunities. On the contrary, through the insights and experiences shared by the speakers, students are expected to develop a more positive, confident, and optimistic mindset, recognizing that opportunities to create and build a career in the creative industry are vast and wide open.

During the main session of the seminar, students gained insights into developments in industrial design, the creative process involved in producing work relevant to industry needs, and the importance of public speaking skills as a competency that design graduates must possess. The material was presented by speakers Arman Sidik and Gita Andriani, moderated by Satria Indra Praja Persada, S.Ds., M.M., a Visual Communication Design lecturer at UNIKOM who also has professional experience in the field of graphic design. Throughout the seminar, participants were also encouraged to actively engage in discussion during the Q&A session.

Through the Thesis & Final Project Seminar, UNIKOM Visual Communication Design and Graphic Design programs demonstrated their commitment to supporting the improvement of students’ academic quality. UNIKOM Welcomes Educational Visit from SMK Negeri 3 Metro Lampung to Strengthen Insights into Higher Education and Digital Technology

BANDUNG, UNIKOM — Thursday, May 7, 2026, the Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) hosted an educational visit from SMK Negeri 3 Metro Lampung. Held at the Miracle Auditorium on the 4th floor of UNIKOM Campus I, the delegation from SMK Negeri 3 Metro Lampung was welcomed directly by the UNIKOM Directorate of Public Relations and Protocol team along with the UNIKOM Student Protocol Corps. The visit was part of an effort to introduce students to the world of higher education while strengthening their technological and educational knowledge, preparing them to better navigate developments in education and industry in the digital age.

The event commenced with welcoming remarks from the Director of Public Relations and Protocol of UNIKOM, Dr. Ir. Yuni Mogot, M.Si., CPR. In her speech, Dr. Yuni expressed her gratitude and appreciation to SMK Negeri 3 Metro Lampung for selecting UNIKOM as the destination university for their educational visit and exploration of higher education. Furthermore, she explained that current technological advancements have driven significant changes across various sectors of life. According to her, digital disruption has transformed many aspects of society, requiring the younger generation to adapt, possess digital competencies, and be prepared to face future challenges.

She also invited all participants to gain a deeper understanding of UNIKOM through a presentation on the university profile and the PIQIE culture of UNIKOM, which stands for Professionalism, Integrity, Quality, Information Technology, and Excellence. These values serve as the foundation for developing outstanding, character-driven human resources capable of competing at both national and international levels. She further introduced the campus environment and academic support facilities available at UNIKOM as a technology and innovation-based university.

Meanwhile, Joko Sukarno, S.Pd., Head of the Computer and Network Engineering Program at SMK Negeri 3 Metro Lampung, speaking on behalf of the School Principal, delivered his remarks, stating that this educational visit is part of the school’s efforts to broaden students’ horizons and expand their perspectives on higher education and future self-development opportunities. “Through this visit, we aim to broaden the students’ horizons, helping them see where they can develop themselves and continue their education in fields they are interested in. Although we come from a regional area, we want the students to have a broad, open mindset and be ready to compete,” he explained.

Furthermore, Joko Sukarno, S.Pd., also noted that the visit to UNIKOM left a very positive impression on the school. After seeing the campus environment, facilities, and various academic programs offered by UNIKOM firsthand, the school felt even more confident that UNIKOM is the right choice of higher education institution for their students. Additionally, Joko commended UNIKOM numerous achievements, the quality of its faculty, and the campus facilities, which he deemed highly supportive of the learning process and the development of students’ competencies. At the end of his remarks, Joko Sukarno encouraged the students not to hesitate in pursuing higher education and to remain enthusiastic about shaping their future. He hopes that this visit will inspire the students to determine a better direction for their education and careers in the future.

The series of activities then continued with an academic presentation session by Dhika Mega Pratama, M.Ds., from UNIKOM New Student Admissions team. Speaking on behalf of UNIKOM New Student Admissions team Director, Yudistira Soegoto, S.Kom., M.Kom., he explained various details regarding the new student admission system, scholarship programs, UNIKOM’s academic strengths, and opportunities for student achievement development at both national and international levels.

On the same occasion, the Head of the Visual Communication Design Program, Dr. Kankan Kasmana, M.Ds., in his presentation, discussed the potential of the digital creative industry, technology-based visual design development, and career prospects for graduates in the fields of design, multimedia, the creative industry, and digital branding.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Informatics Engineering Study Program, Hanhan Maulana, M.Kom., Ph.D., explained developments in information technology, artificial intelligence, software engineering, and the wide range of career opportunities in the rapidly growing digital technology sector amid today’s digital transformation era.

Lastly, the Head of the Computer Engineering Study Program, Dr. Susmini Indriani Lestariningati, S.T., M.T., delivered a presentation on the advantages of the Computer Engineering Study Program, developments in computer technology, and career opportunities in hardware systems, computer networks, and intelligent technologies.

Through the visit of SMK Negeri 3 Metro Lampung, UNIKOM hopes to provide inspiration and motivation for students in preparing for higher education while also strengthening collaborative relations between UNIKOM and SMK Negeri 3 Metro Lampung in the development of technology and innovation-based education. DKV Study Program Supports the Role of Visual Design as an Environmental Education Medium in the Screeningof the Film “Maira: Whisper from Papua”

BANDUNG, UNIKOM — The Visual Communication Design (DKV) Program at Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) reaffirms its commitment to supporting environmental conservation issues through visual approaches and creative narratives by contributing to the watch party and film screening of “Teman Tegar: Maira – Whisper from Papua.” The event was organized by Aksa Bumi Langit Production House on Wednesday afternoon, January 21, 2026, at XXI Cihampelas Walk (Ciwalk), Bandung.

The involvement of the DKV Study Program in this event is part of the implementation of the Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi (Three Pillars of Higher Education), specifically community service, by utilizing film as a strategic communication medium to voice concern for the preservation of Papua’s forests. The film “Maira – Whisper from Papua” is considered to represent the power of visual design, cinematography, and storytelling in building public awareness of global environmental issues.

Present at the event was the Head of the DKV UNIKOM Study Program, Dr. Kankan Kasmana, S.Sn., M.Ds., accompanied by lecturer and Head of the Public Relations and Information Communication Division of UNIKOM, Arif Try Cahyadi, M.Ds. The presence of representatives from the DKV Study Program was to support a creative ecosystem that actively contributes to social and environmental issues. In addition, the event was also attended by various stakeholders, including local government representatives, the Head of the West Java Provincial Culture and Tourism Office, private stakeholders, and communities in Bandung. The presence of cross-sectors strengthens the view of UNIKOM’s DKV Study Program that environmental preservation is a collaborative issue that requires a strategic role for visual communication design as a bridge for public communication.

Dr. Kankan Kasmana S.Sn., M.Ds., said that the film “Maira” could be used as a relevant academic case study for DKV students, particularly in understanding how visual aesthetics, design narratives, and cinematographic approaches can influence public opinion and build a sense of shared concern. He emphasized that the forests of Papua are the lungs of the world as well as Indonesia’s wealth, rich in local wisdom, so that the message conveyed in the film is very contextual to the current condition of the nation and contains interdisciplinary educational values.

Meanwhile, Arif Try Cahyadi, M.Ds., asserted that the film “Maira – Whisper from Papua” is an example of effective public education media. According to him, the power of visual storytelling is able to transcend the limitations of information delivery and convey environmental messages in an emotional and persuasive manner, thereby potentially encouraging changes in people’s attitudes and behavior.

The public’s enthusiasm for the screening was also reflected in the number of viewers, which reached 1,438 people, filling the XXI Ciwalk studio for the special premiere in Bandung. For the DKV Study Program, this high level of public participation shows that environmental issues can be communicated effectively through visual media that is strong and relevant to the audience.

The screening event at Cihampelas Walk was part of events leading up to the official launch of the film “Maira – Whisper from Papua” on February 5, 2026. The DKV Study Program hopes that the film will not only be enjoyed as entertainment but also used as material for academic discussion, learning references, and a catalyst for design-based social movements on campus and in the wider community.

UNIKOM Welcomes a Visit from SMK Avicena Rajeg Tangerang: Expanding Academic Knowledge and Getting to Know the University World

BANDUNG, UNIKOM – On Thursday, January 15, 2026, Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) welcomed an educational visit from SMK Avicena Rajeg, Tangerang Regency, Banten. The activity aimed to provide a real picture of the higher education world while broadening the academic horizons of SMK Avicena Rajeg students. Held in the Miracle Auditorium on the 4th floor of UNIKOM Campus I, the school group was warmly welcomed by the Directorate of Public Relations and Protocol.

The Director of Public Relations and Protocol of UNIKOM, Dr. Ir. Yuni Mogot, M.Si., CPR., in her speech, welcomed and expressed her appreciation for the visit of SMK Avicena Rajeg. She explained that the rapid development of science and technology has driven significant changes in various sectors of life. Digital disruption has shifted existing structures and paradigms, with almost all systems now moving towards digital-based business and service models. UNIKOM is present as a higher education institution committed to responding to the challenges of digital technology development in Indonesia.

Furthermore, Dr. Yuni also presented the UNIKOM profile, including its vision, mission, and academic excellence. She also invited all students of SMK Avicena Rajeg to take advantage of the opportunity to continue their higher education at UNIKOM.The activity continued with a presentation from the Director of New Student Admissions, Yudistira Soegoto, S.Kom., M.Kom., who was represented by staff member Dhika Mega Pratama, S.Ds., M.Ds., regarding the selection process, lecture system, and various opportunities for student development at UNIKOM. The next presentation was delivered by the Head of the Computer Engineering Study Program, Dr. Susmini Indriani Lestaringati, S.T., M.T., and the Head of the Visual Communication Design Study Program, Dr. Kankan Kasmana, M.Ds., represented by Lecturers and Practical Work Coordinators, DKV Study Program UNIKOM, Merlina Fatimah Nasruddin, M.Ds., who explained the program profile, industry-based curriculum, and graduate prospects in the workforce.

Not only participating in the presentation session, the students of SMK Avicena Rajeg also had the opportunity to take a campus tour of the academic environment of the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Design at UNIKOM. During the activity, the students were invited to get to know the learning facilities, laboratories, design studios, and the atmosphere of lectures in each faculty more closely so that they could gain empirical experience regarding academic activities at UNIKOM.

Through this visit, UNIKOM reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening institutional relations with SMK Avicena Rajeg while also providing inspiration and motivation for students to pursue higher education in line with their interests and competencies.

UNIKOM Visual Communication Design and Graphic Design Study Program Holds “Majang Kawani” Exhibition as a Platform For Appreciation of Students’ Final Projects

BANDUNG, UNIKOM – Monday, September 15, 2025, the Visual Communication Design (DKV) and Graphic Design Study Program, Faculty of Design, Indonesia Computer University (UNIKOM) held the “Majang Kawani” event, an exhibition of thesis works and final projects by students. Held on the 6th Floor Terrace of the UNIKOM Smart Building, the exhibition showcased dozens of the best works resulting from student creativity.

The two-week exhibition served as a space for appreciation and academic selection, showcasing the best works from various categories of creative and research theses and final projects designed to reward students’ hard work in integrating theory, concepts, and practice into tangible works. Additionally, the exhibition reflects UNIKOM’s commitment to supporting the development of highly competitive creative talent in the fields of design and the creative industry.

A total of 40 students from the Creative Thesis course, 9 students from the Research Thesis course, and 8 D3 final project participants successfully passed the curation process and were given the opportunity to showcase their work. The Coordinator of the D3 Final Project Exhibition, Irma Rochmawati, M.Ds., said that the exhibition has been held regularly for nine years and must continue to be improved to produce more innovative works.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Visual Communication Design Study Program, Dr. Kankan Kasmana, M.Ds., said, “This exhibition is a manifestation of the hard work of our friends at the Faculty of Design in presenting their final works. On this occasion, 40 of the best works were selected through a curation process and exhibited. Alhamdulillah, the works on display are very diverse in terms of both theme and media, ranging from digital multimedia related to digital marketing to conventional media such as books, posters, and others. This activity is a regular agenda held every semester. This year feels special because many of the works highlight local wisdom and important issues,” he concluded.

One of the exhibition participants, Ibrahim Zaenal Akbar Lazari, presented a work in the form of an educational project packaged as a board game resembling Monopoly. The work was designed to educate people about various types of bottled drinking water. Ibrahim expressed his hope that students who will soon be working on their final projects will be serious in creating works that are not only interesting but also beneficial to many people.

The “Majang Kawani” exhibition is not only a platform for students to showcase their creative explorations and visual innovations but also a means for the academic community, practitioners, and the public to directly observe the academic achievements of students from the DKV and DG programs at the UNIKOM Design Faculty. UNIKOM Faculty of Design Holds SCOPA Education 2025 to Highlight the Role of Paper in Design

BANDUNG, UNIKOM – The world of design remains closely tied to the use of paper, despite the dominance of digital and social media. Realizing the importance of paper quality in supporting the strength of design work, the Faculty of Design at Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) in collaboration with PT Surya Palacejaya organized SCOPA Education (Surya Palace Creative on Paper) on the UNIKOM campus in Bandung.

The event, which took place on Thursday, April 24, 2025, carried the theme ‘All About Paper’ as part of the Faculty of Design’s 2025 program. This event featured Tommy Wily Bonytua, S.T., from PT Surya Palacejaya as the main speaker, with Dr. Tiara Isfiaty, M.Sn., serving as moderator, as Head of the Interior Design Study Program and Lecturer of the Interior Design Study Program & MDS Postgraduate Program. This activity was attended by lecturers in the Faculty of Design and attended by students from the Visual Communication Design (DKV), Graphic Design, and Interior Design Study Programs, particularly those enrolled in Illustration II for the 2024/2025 academic year.

This activity was led by Dr. Ambarsih Ekawardhani, M.Sn. as Chief Executive, supported by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rini Maulina, M.Sn., as Vice Chair, along with the committee team from the Visual Communication Design, Graphic Design, and Interior Study Programs. In her speech, Dr. Ambarsih Ekawardhani, M.Sn. said that “With this activity, students gain exposure to various types of specialty paper that are not widely available in the market. One of the interesting papers introduced is a paper that cannot be torn. This activity opens students’ insights that certain types of paper can improve the quality of design work, both visually and through sensory experience. Hopefully, this activity can broaden students’ understanding and appreciation of the variety of materials in the world of design,” said Dr. Ambarsih

In his presentation, Tommy introduced various types of imported paper distributed by PT Surya Palacejaya, as well as explained the characteristics and functions of each type of paper in supporting the quality of design work. One of the interesting moments was when participants were introduced to a paper product called Yupo – a synthetic paper that cannot be torn. The participants tried to tear the paper in various ways, but none of them succeeded, which generated a lot of enthusiasm among the participants.

SCOPA Education also marked the launch of BAKSYA 2025, the Faculty of Design’s Illustration Competition for Creative Design Works. This competition is planned as a national-scale event involving students from various universities in Indonesia, especially in the field of Visual Communication Design. BAKSYA will include competitions and exhibitions of works, becoming a creative platform for design students throughout Indonesia to express their innovative ideas.

With the implementation of SCOPA Education 2025, the UNIKOM Faculty of Design hopes that students will increasingly understand the importance of choosing the right media in their creative process and strengthen their competitiveness in both national and international creative industries.
