Islamic Study Of Mt Ashfiyatun Nisa UNIKOM

BANDUNG, UNIKOM – The UNIKOM academic community is one of the universities that not only motivates and facilitates the rational intelligence or cognition of its lecturers and employees but also facilitates the spiritual intelligence of its lecturers and employees through tahsin, which is a process of improving how to read the Qur’an better, in accordance with tajweed and makhroj, this study is a forum for UNIKOM lecturers and employees who need additional knowledge and who want to improve their relationship with the Book of Allah. In addition to tahsin, there are also recitations to increase religious knowledge ranging from worship, akidah, Akhlaq, fiqh and so on. One example is the Taklim Assembly Study which has an important role in the life of a Muslim. The taklim assembly study is a periodic meeting held to explore Islamic religious knowledge. This activity has a very important meaning for Muslims. Through studies, understanding of the Qur’an, hadith, and other Islamic teachings deepens. This will strengthen one’s faith and piety. The knowledge gained will become a guideline in living our daily lives, so that our actions are more in line with Islamic teachings.

Majelis Ta’lim Ashfiyatun Nisa Universitas Komputer Indonesia held an online Islamic Study, with Ustadz Sofyan Yahya, S.Ag., C.Mtq which was held on Friday January 3, 2025 with the theme “Tahsin and the Meaning of Q.S Al-Qamar” while on Friday January 10, 2025 a Study was held with Ustadz Dedi Hariadi who raised the theme. “Honoring and Glorifying the Month of Rajab”.

The event was officially opened through remarks from the Advisor of Majelis Ta’lim Ashfiyatun Nisa UNIKOM, Assoc Prof, Dr. Hj. Dewi Kurniasih, S.IP., M.Si. She expressed her deepest gratitude to the Science & Technology Foundation and the Rector of UNIKOM for their continuous support in the smooth running of the UNIKOM Ashfiyatun Nisa Ta’lim Assembly program. “Hopefully this routine study activity every Friday can provide sustainable benefits for all of us, and become a means to deepen the religious knowledge we have,” she said hopefully.

“Tahsin and Meaning of Q.S Al-Qamar”

Surah Al-Qamar, which is the 54th surah in the Qur’an, contains many important lessons about Allah’s power and warnings for mankind. Beginning with the story of the miraculous division of the moon that occurred as a sign of Allah’s power, this surah describes how the moon split into two parts in front of the Prophet Muhammad’s people who doubted his prophethood. This event is a clear proof of Allah’s unlimited power, as well as warning mankind about the consequences of rejecting the revelation and signs of Allah. In addition, this surah also explains the punishment that befell the previous people who denied the messengers, such as the people of Noah, ‘Ad, Tsamud, and Fir’aun, as a lesson for the people who lived after them.

Ustadz Sofyan explained that “Surah Al-Qamar teaches us to always contemplate the signs of Allah’s greatness around us. Although many miracles have been given to mankind, many still choose to reject and deny the truth of revelation. In this surah, Allah warns that the same punishment that befell the previous nations could also befall the deniers of today if they do not realize Allah’s power. Therefore, this surah invites us not only to see natural phenomena, such as the split moon, as a miracle, but also as a warning to always be grateful and believe in Allah, “he said.

Ustadz Sofyan also explained that Surah Al-Qamar reminds us that sincere faith and acceptance of His revelation is the key to avoiding the bad consequences that befall those who deny Him.

“Honoring and Glorifying the Month of Rajab”

The month of Rajab is one of the most honored months in Islam. This month falls in the seventh month of the Hijri calendar and has a number of interesting features and history.

In Ustadz Dedi’s study, he reminded that in this month of Rajab “We must abstain from sin because if we commit a lot of sin, the sustenance that Allah gives, the peace of heart and the peace of mind will all disappear. As explained by Ibn Qayyim Aljauziah that “One of the punishments that Allah gives to the one who sins is that he is prevented from obeying”. This is a punishment for those who sin, therefore in every moment of obedience, he feels lazy, weak, because that is the feeling that exists in people who commit many sins”. Ustadz Dedi said.

At the end of closing his material, Ustadz Dedi reminded us that the strength of the heart determines our obedience to Allah SWT. He also advised that we must always be isiqomah to always obey Allah because obedience to worship is in the strength of the heart not physical strength. UNIKOM Welcomes Visit from SMK Informatika Al-Irsyad Al Islamiyyah Cirebon

BANDUNG, UNIKOM – In the era of technological development and innovation, comparative studies open up opportunities to find new ideas and innovative approaches in running a program or activity. Comparative studies can also be interpreted as research on something. For example, for an infrastructure by comparing infrastructure in your own country and comparing it with infrastructure in other countries. By conducting a comparative study, an institution, company or school can evaluate and improve existing deficiencies. Likewise, SMK Al – Irsyad Al Islamiyyah Cirebon conducted a visit or comparative study as an effort to open a forum and opportunity for its students to get to know universities more closely, one of which is UNIKOM.

On Tuesday, January 14, 2025, UNIKOM received a school visit from the Al-Irsyad Al Islamiyyah Informatics Vocational High School (SMK), Cirebon. This visit was part of a comparative study aimed at studying lecture practices at UNIKOM. The visit participants numbered around 103 people with 90 students accompanied by 13 teachers and foundation staff of the RPL, TKJ, and DKV Study Programs. The visit was warmly welcomed by the UNIKOM Directorate of Public Relations and Protocol Team at the Miracle Building Auditorium on the 4th floor of UNIKOM.

The series of visit events began with singing the national anthem Indonesia Raya, UNIKOM Mars, followed by a video glimpse of UNIKOM, which all participants joined with solemnity and enthusiasm. This visit was attended by Agung Nugraha, S.I.Kom., as the Head of the UNIKOM Protocol Division who represented the Director of Public Relations & Protocol of UNIKOM Dr. Desayu Eka Surya S.Sos.,M.Si. CICS. Also present were the Director of New Student Admission (PMB) Yudistira Soegoto, S.Kom., M.Kom, Head of the Informatics Engineering Study Program Hanhan Maulana, M.Kom., Ph.D and Head of the Information Systems Study Program Dr. Wartika, S.Kom., MT.

On this occasion, the Director of Public Relations & Protocol of UNIKOM, Dr. Desayu Eka Surya, S.Sos., M.SI., CICS, who was represented by the Head of UNIKOM Protocol Division, Agung Nugraha, S.I.Kom, in his speech said, “We are very pleased to receive a visit from SMK Informatika Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiyyah Cirebon. This visit is an effort from the school to increase the enthusiasm of students in knowing what the world of lectures is like.” he said.

Furthermore, Agung conveyed a brief history of how UNIKOM was established until UNIKOM’s position as a private university that has been accredited EXCELLENT and leading in Indonesia. Agung explained that UNIKOM was established with a vision to become an EXCELLENT education center in the field of information and communication technology. Over time, UNIKOM continues to innovate and develop itself, UNIKOM has also succeeded in producing many qualified graduates who are ready to compete in the professional world, and continues to be committed to providing the best education with complete facilities and teaching based on the latest technological developments.

Closing his speech, Agung asked for prayers and support from teachers and students so that UNIKOM could continue to progress and achieve the target of World Class University (WCU). “Please pray and support, because currently UNIKOM is preparing and stabilizing steps to achieve the target of becoming a World Class University (WCU) with a focus on ranking in the top 100 in ASEAN and QS World University Rankings. We hope that this visit can provide useful insights and experiences for students and be the beginning of broader collaboration in the future,” said Agung.

The agenda of the activity continued with remarks from the Principal of SMK Al Irsyad Al Islamiyyah Sri Wahyuni Aslamiah, S.Pd. in her speech expressed her gratitude for the extraordinary and friendly welcome to the entire UNIKOM Public Relations and Protocol Team, she revealed the reason why she chose UNIKOM as her destination “The reason we bring 10th grade students to UNIKOM is because we want them to be able to determine what their career direction is, so that’s why we chose UNIKOM because UNIKOM is very much in tune with our three school majors namely RPL, TKJ, and DKV, hopefully the children today get knowledge so that they can determine the direction of their careers, we are also very impressed with UNIKOM’s very complete facilities, besides that the reason we chose UNIKOM is also because there is one of our teachers who is an alumnus of UNIKOM” Her concluded.

Followed by Campus Introduction and Information about Student Registration by PMB Director Yudistira Soegoto, S.Kom., M.Kom, after that the presentation of material about the Informatics Engineering Study Program delivered by Hanhan Maulana, M.Kom., Ph.D as the Head of the Study Program, and then continued with the presentation of the last material about the Information Systems Study Program by the Head of the SI Study Program Dr. Wartika, S.Kom., MT. At the end of her presentation Dr. Wartika also conducted a question and answer session with the students, this question session was greeted enthusiastically by the participants. Directorate of Public Relations and Protocol UNIKOM Holds Inaugural Meeting for the 2024-2025 Service Period

BANDUNG, UNIKOM – On Monday, January 13, 2025, the Directorate of Public Relations and Protocol of UNIKOM held an inaugural meeting which was chaired directly by the Director of Public Relations and Protocol, Dr. Desayu Eka Surya S.Sos., M.Si., CICS. This meeting was held at 10:00 – 12:00 WIB in Room L.030 Smart Building UNIKOM. This meeting aims to harmonize understanding, build commitment, and set a clear direction for all team members involved including Agung Nugraha S.I.Kom as Head of the Protocol Division, Merry Indriyanti, S.E as Secretary of the Director of Public Relations, and staff of the Directorate of Public Relations Aldi Mohammad Akbar, S. Ds and Devi Delviani Lestari S.I.Kom. This meeting was also attended by the Head of the Digital Marketing Division Sri Pernia Warakmulty, S.Kom., M.Kom.

In the discussion of the meeting, Dr. Desayu said that the entire team must remain committed to carrying out the focus of work and targets according to the direction of the Rector, in addition She said “We must change and improve performance creatively and innovatively, because those are the characteristics of a leader” She said. In addition, Dr. Desayu also explained some additional job descriptions to each team member, namely the Social Media Division, Protocol Division, Secretariat, Design Staff, and Public Relations Staff. The entire team is expected to be able to better utilize social media as a means of publication. This is done in order to achieve the goals of UNIKOM which is to become a World Class University (WCU) campus.
In her closing remarks, Dr. Desayu expressed her great hopes for the Public Relations and Protocol of UNIKOM so that they could contribute and have a positive impact on every step forward of Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM). Finally, Dr. Desayu encouraged the entire team to always be patient and not easily despair of all the hard work that has been done. UNIKOM Pencak Silat UKM Wins 5 Medals at the Bandung Lautan Api Championship 6: “Show Your Brilliant Achievements”

BANDUNG, UNIKOM – The Pencak Silat Student Activity Unit (UKM) of the Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) Bandung again recorded a brilliant achievement by winning 5 Medals at the Bandung Lautan Api Championship 6. This championship took place on January 4-5, 2025 at the GOR Gymnasium UPI Setia Budi Bandung, attended by thousands of participants from various universities, clubs, and pencak silat schools in Indonesia.

The 6th Bandung Lautan Api Championship is one of the largest Pencak Silat competitions in West Java, attracting participants from pre-school to adult/university students from various regions. This event serves as a platform to showcase skills and strengthen bonds among pencak silat practitioners.

This year, UNIKOM Pencak Silat UKM managed to bring home 5 medals, namely 1 Gold Medal (Class G Match) won by Fa’i Refriandi from the Informatics Engineering Study Program, 1 Silver Medal (Single Arts) won by Delia Aksani Puspitasari from the Informatics Engineering Study Program and 3 Bronze Medals (Single Arts) won by Chandra Abdul Aziz from the Information Systems Study Program, Bronze (Class F Match) Dian Lestari from the Accounting Study Program, Bronze (Class D Match) won by Muhammad Aris Azfa Assathin Supriyadi from the Information Systems Study Program.

Dr. Ony Widilestariningtyas, SE., MSi., Ak., CA. as the Advisor of the Pencak Silat Student Activity Unit (UKM) UNIKOM when asked for her statement said “I fully support and feel proud of the success of the Pencak Silat Student Activity Unit (UKM) team in the BLAC 6 championship. High appreciation for the hard work, discipline, and fighting spirit of the team members. This success is expected to be a motivation to continue improve achievements in the future and bring the good name of UKM and UNIKOM to a higher level,” she said.

In line with the results achieved by the UNIKOM Pencak Silat UKM, as Chair, Anita told the UNIKOM Public Relations Team about the training process carried out by her team. She explained, “The training process for each individual includes intensive physical training and technical materials, carried out for approximately two months. The training materials include various techniques such as throws, pulls, scissors, and kicks, all of which are adjusted to the needs and regulations of the latest IPSI competition in 2022. Meanwhile, physical training is carried out to increase endurance and strength. One of the physical exercises carried out is the beep test, which aims to measure endurance capabilities and how far athletes can last running to reach a certain level, to ensure athletes are able to survive during the match, in the future hopefully we can compete in the next championship at a higher level with more proud achievements,” she concluded.

A sense of pride also enveloped the Director of Student Affairs of UNIKOM, Andrias Darmayadi, S.IP., M.Si., Ph.D., proudly said, “Alhamdulillah, UKM Pencak Silat has again contributed its achievements at the beginning of 2025 from the National Pencak Silat Championship Bandung Lautan Api Championship 6 … I congratulate and express my highest appreciation to UKM Pencak Silat and of course to the athletes who won … We hope that this achievement will be a trigger for other achievements for our beloved Campus,” he concluded.

UNIKOM Welcomes Visit from SMK Persada Bandar Lampung

BANDUNG, UNIKOM – Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) received another visit on Friday, January 10, 2025. The visit was attended by 16 teachers and 22 students from the Computer Network Engineering and Accounting majors. The purpose of the visit of SMK Persada Lampung was to introduce UNIKOM to students and hope they could study at UNIKOM, because the profile and study program of UNIKOM were very suitable with the majors of SMK Persada.

The visit of SMK Persada Lampung was warmly welcomed by the Directorate of Public Relations and Protocol Team assisted by the UNIKOM Student Protocol Corps (KPM) in Room L.018 on the 1st floor of UNIKOM Smart Building. CICS as Director of Public Relations in his remarks he introduced UNIKOM as one of the campuses that has been accredited UNGGUL (EXCELENT) and carried out to become a World Class University (WCU) campus, Dr. Desayu also explained some of the advantages of studying at UNIKOM “if you study at UNIKOM, you will not only get hardware and software courses for 2 semesters, but up to 7 semesters, so we will provide computer applications that will be needed by our students, for example, if they want to work in digital public relations or on television, they will be equipped with the necessary applications such as radio, or broadcasting, so that when they enter the world of work later they already understand technology because we don’t want UNIKOM graduates to become the biggest unemployed later,” she said.

Furthermore, Dr. Desayu also said “We also provide compulsory courses on entrepreneurship and technopreneurship whose lecturers are directly by the Rector and his team, because the Rector is indeed an entrepreneur whose book is a best seller in Indonesia. and we also require all our students to get animation courses. So the science is implemented using animation. That is one of the advantages of UNIKOM students compared to other campuses.

Yuni Susilowati S.Pd., as the Principal of SMK Persada Lampung, in her speech expressed her gratitude for the warm welcome from all the teams involved. She said that she was impressed with UNIKOM as a campus with outstanding achievements and alumni. UNIKOM Improves Graduates Quality with a Project-Based Learning Curriculum

BANDUNG, UNIKOM – In order to welcome the Even Semester of the 2024/2025 Academic Year and in line with the structural changes in the Curriculum Division for the 2024-2026 Term of Service, the Vice Rector I for Academic and Student Affairs of UNIKOM invited the Head of the UNIKOM Curriculum Division, Head of Study Programs, and Coordinators of Compulsory Curriculum Courses of UNIKOM on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.

This activity took place in the Multipurpose Room, 15th Floor, Smart Building UNIKOM with the main agenda being the Socialization of Compulsory Curriculum Courses. The meeting was led by the Vice Rector I for Academic and Student Affairs of UNIKOM, Prof. Dr. Hj. Umi Narimawati, Dra., SE., M.Si., M.Pd. who in her remarks conveyed the importance of curriculum development, especially the uniformity of the implementation of Mandatory Curriculum Courses based on Project-Based Learning.

Prof. Umi Narimawati explained that “This project-based learning method allows students to work in groups, designing, developing, and presenting projects relevant to the topics being taught. Through this approach, it is hoped that students can be more actively involved in the learning process and hone their creative problem-solving skills,” she said.

At the end of the meeting, participants engaged in an in-depth discussion on the challenges and issues faced in curriculum development across each study program at UNIKOM. The discussion also covered follow-up agendas from the socialization of the mandatory curriculum courses.

In Early 2025, Unikom will Additionally Professors in the Field of Tax Accounting

BANDUNG, UNIKOM – Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) Bandung once again achieved a brilliant achievement by awarding a Professorial Decree (SK) to Prof. Dr. Siti Kurnia Rahayu, S.E., M.Ak., Ak., CA., one of the best lecturers contributing to the field of Tax Accounting. The awarding of this decree marks a significant milestone in UNIKOM’s academic journey, further demonstrating its commitment to producing quality academics at the national level.

The Professorship Decree handover ceremony was held on Tuesday, January 2, 2025, in the Hall of Building A of the LLDIKTI Region IV. The handover ceremony is part of Region IV of the Higher Education Service Institution (LLDIKTI) efforts to provide appreciation and recognition for the dedication and contributions of lecturers in the fields of education and research.

Through the awarding of this decree, LLDIKTI Region IV hopes to motivate other lecturers to continue achieving and innovating, thereby contributing to improving the quality of higher education in Indonesia. Twelve lecturers from various universities received their Professorship Decrees on this occasion.

Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs of UNIKOM Prof. Dr. Hj. Umi Narimawati, Dra., SE., M.Si., M.Pd. who represented the Rector of UNIKOM when asked for information by the UNIKOM Public Relations Team said “As a Leader, a friend, of course I am very happy and proud to be able to accompany our closest people, our lecturers to achieve Professorship. The highest position and the highest achievement in the profession of a lecturer. This shows that UNIKOM consistently encourages its lecturers to continue to develop to achieve their highest careers. Obtaining a Professorship does not only show the personal performance of the Lecturer, for example currently Prof. Dr. Siti Kurnia Rahayu, SE., M.Ak., but more broadly the performance of Faculty of Economic and Business and UNIKOM of course.

Prof. Umi also shared her experiences and tips for achieving the title of Professor, according to her, “Achieving the title of Professor is not easy, but it is not difficult either. There are quite a few requirements to be fulfilled: Doctoral education (S3), Concentration on certain expertise, a minimum GPA of 850, producing publications in reputable international journals, being active in academic organizations at the national and international levels, having a good reputation, and no less important is orderly administration related to the required documents according to the provisions of the university or UNIKOM institution, of course, to be submitted to DIKTI.” said Prof. Umi

Prof. Umi also advised, “I always say that if you want to succeed in achieving professorship, you need the ability to manage yourself with the principle of 5K: collaborative work between hard work, smart work, sincere work, and thorough work (Kerja kolaborasi antara Kerja keras, Kerja cerdas, Kerja ikhlas dan Kerja tuntas). With these five K, administrative requirements that have been felt difficult can be completed easily. Publication in reputable international journals will not be a burden. Always be positive and sincerely wait for God’s hand to move. Don’t let us have high expectations, then fail to fall into stress and then get sick,” she said.

Furthermore, Prof. Umi said, “Every lecturer who has a doctorate, is committed to their knowledge, loves their profession, and behaves well already has a ticket to become a Professor. Don’t be discouraged, my dear friends at UNIKOM. You can definitely become a Professor, depending on your intention. You must be sincere and honest. You must be kind to everyone so that prayers continue to flow to you,” she concluded.

Prof. Dr. Siti Kurnia Rahayu, S.E., M.Ak., Ak., CA. also shared her experience in obtaining the title of Professor. She said, “The process of obtaining a Professorship is a long journey that cannot be entirely attributed to personal effort. This title is the result of a collaborative effort between various supporting elements, including the institution, family environment, colleagues, and the Creator’s destiny. Timing also plays a crucial role in this process, from opportunities that come at the right time to the ability to be patient and continue the process without rushing. Each phase has its own moment, and often the best results emerge at the right time. The institution plays a significant role in providing opportunities for growth, while colleagues, mentors, and friends provide invaluable guidance, motivation, and assistance. Family became a place to lean on when facing challenges, and students are often a source of inspiration that pushes us to give our best. This process also includes technical stages that must be completed, such as collecting and calculating credit points for education, teaching, research, and community service. After that, the files are submitted for verification by the university, the senate, and the University Integrity Team, before finally being evaluated by LLDikti and Dikti,” she explained.

Furthermore, Prof. Dr. Siti Kurnia Rahayu, S.E., M.Ak., Ak., CA said, “More than just a technical achievement, the title of Professor is a mandate to serve more people with the knowledge that has been trusted. This title teaches humility, that every achievement is the result of the synergy of many parties, not just personal hard work. BANDUNG, UNIKOM – Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) Bandung once again achieved a brilliant achievement by awarding a Professorial Decree (SK) to Prof. Dr. Siti Kurnia Rahayu, S.E., M.Ak., Ak., CA., one of the best lecturers contributing to the field of Tax Accounting. The awarding of this decree marks a significant milestone in UNIKOM’s academic journey, further demonstrating its commitment to producing quality academics at the national level.

The Professorship Decree handover ceremony was held on Tuesday, January 2, 2025, in the Hall of Building A of the LLDIKTI Region IV. The handover ceremony is part of Region IV of the Higher Education Service Institution (LLDIKTI) efforts to provide appreciation and recognition for the dedication and contributions of lecturers in the fields of education and research.

Through the awarding of this decree, LLDIKTI Region IV hopes to motivate other lecturers to continue achieving and innovating, thereby contributing to improving the quality of higher education in Indonesia. Twelve lecturers from various universities received their Professorship Decrees on this occasion.

Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs of UNIKOM Prof. Dr. Hj. Umi Narimawati, Dra., SE., M.Si., M.Pd. who represented the Rector of UNIKOM when asked for information by the UNIKOM Public Relations Team said “As a Leader, a friend, of course I am very happy and proud to be able to accompany our closest people, our lecturers to achieve Professorship. The highest position and the highest achievement in the profession of a lecturer. This shows that UNIKOM consistently encourages its lecturers to continue to develop to achieve their highest careers. Obtaining a Professorship does not only show the personal performance of the Lecturer, for example currently Prof. Dr. Siti Kurnia Rahayu, SE., M.Ak., but more broadly the performance of Faculty of Economic and Business and UNIKOM of course.

Prof. Umi also shared her experiences and tips for achieving the title of Professor, according to her, “Achieving the title of Professor is not easy, but it is not difficult either. There are quite a few requirements to be fulfilled: Doctoral education (S3), Concentration on certain expertise, a minimum GPA of 850, producing publications in reputable international journals, being active in academic organizations at the national and international levels, having a good reputation, and no less important is orderly administration related to the required documents according to the provisions of the university or UNIKOM institution, of course, to be submitted to DIKTI.” said Prof. Umi

Prof. Umi also advised, “I always say that if you want to succeed in achieving professorship, you need the ability to manage yourself with the principle of 5K: collaborative work between hard work, smart work, sincere work, and thorough work (Kerja kolaborasi antara Kerja keras, Kerja cerdas, Kerja ikhlas dan Kerja tuntas). With these five K, administrative requirements that have been felt difficult can be completed easily. Publication in reputable international journals will not be a burden. Always be positive and sincerely wait for God’s hand to move. Don’t let us have high expectations, then fail to fall into stress and then get sick,” she said.

Furthermore, Prof. Umi said, “Every lecturer who has a doctorate, is committed to their knowledge, loves their profession, and behaves well already has a ticket to become a Professor. Don’t be discouraged, my dear friends at UNIKOM. You can definitely become a Professor, depending on your intention. You must be sincere and honest. You must be kind to everyone so that prayers continue to flow to you,” she concluded.

She said, “The process of obtaining a Professorship is a long journey that cannot be entirely attributed to personal effort. This title is the result of a collaborative effort between various supporting elements, including the institution, family environment, colleagues, and the Creator’s destiny. Timing also plays a crucial role in this process, from opportunities that come at the right time to the ability to be patient and continue the process without rushing. Each phase has its own moment, and often the best results emerge at the right time. The institution plays a significant role in providing opportunities for growth, while colleagues, mentors, and friends provide invaluable guidance, motivation, and assistance. Family became a place to lean on when facing challenges, and students are often a source of inspiration that pushes us to give our best. This process also includes technical stages that must be completed, such as collecting and calculating credit points for education, teaching, research, and community service. After that, the files are submitted for verification by the university, the senate, and the University Integrity Team, before finally being evaluated by LLDikti and Dikti,” she explained.

Furthermore, Prof. Dr. Siti Kurnia Rahayu, S.E., M.Ak., Ak., CA said, “More than just a technical achievement, the title of Professor is a mandate to serve more people with the knowledge that has been trusted. This title teaches humility, that every achievement is the result of the synergy of many parties, not just personal hard work. Bandung City Government and LLDIKTI Region IV Launch a Waste Handling Program Involving 99 Universities: Unikom is One of the Driving Parents

BANDUNG, UNIKOM – The issue of waste has become a major problem that continues to threaten environmental sustainability in Bandung. In response, the Bandung City Government, in collaboration with Region IV of the Higher Education Service Institution (LLDIKTI), launched the Waste Management Program as a concrete effort to address this issue. The program, involving 99 private universities in Bandung, aims to make a significant contribution to waste management by prioritizing collaboration between academics, government, and the community.

As part of this initiative, the Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) Bandung participated in this major mission. This program is a form of UNIKOM’s dedication to the community, in accordance with the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, which includes teaching, research, and community service. The program ran for a full month, starting in late 2024.

UNIKOM Bandung was given the responsibility to handle waste in an area located on Jalan Ir. H. Djuanda, specifically in RT 05 RW 09, Dago Village, Coblong District, Bandung City. This village has a fairly dense population, divided into 13 neighborhood groups, making it an area that presents significant challenges in waste management.

Field Supervisor Lecturer, Assoc Prof. Dr. Hidayat S.Kom., M.T when interviewed said “I feel proud to be able to accompany UNIKOM students in the waste sorting socialization activity in Dago Village, Bandung City. This activity held by the Region IV of Higher Education Service Institution is a real proof of the students’ contribution in educating the community to support better and more sustainable waste management.” He said

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hidayat further stated, “The residents’ active participation in this activity demonstrates their concern for environmental cleanliness. I hope this program can continue and inspire students and the community to work together to create Bandung as a clean and environmentally friendly city.” He concluded.

UNIKOM Student Affairs Director Andreas Darmayadi, S.IP., M.Sc., Ph.D. when asked for information said “Alhamdulillah, the Bandung City Waste Management Group from UNIKOM was able to complete all the tasks and mandates from LLDIKTI Region IV. I really appreciate the performance of all Team Members and PIC Lecturers who consistently and enthusiastically help with waste management in neighborhood groups (RT/RW) around the Unikom Campus. We know that Bandung City is currently experiencing a waste emergency situation, hopefully with the contribution of the UNIKOM Waste Management Team, it can help raise public awareness to sort and manage waste properly and wisely.” he said

The solutions and assistance provided by Unikom include: 1. Community training and education, ensuring all activities run according to plan and acting as a communicator between students and the Environmental Management Team (DPL). 2. Improved sorting facilities, divided into two categories: organic waste processed into compost, inorganic waste sorted and sold to recycling collectors, and residual waste made into crafts. 3. Awareness Campaign, with 80% of the public’s awareness of the importance of waste sorting significantly increasing. 4. Collaboration with Related Parties.

This program is expected to encourage all elements of society to work together to create a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable environment. UNIKOM Graduates 134 Students of King Sejong Institute Bandung

BANDUNG, UNIKOM – King Sejong Institute Bandung 1, located at UNIKOM, held a graduation ceremony for its second semester (11th semester) Korean language class in 2024. The ceremony was attended by 42 of the 134 students who graduated from various class levels in December 2024.

The event was also attended by the Advisor of the Science and Technology Foundation, Mrs. Hj. Dra. Ani Astuti, S.E. The event was opened with remarks from Mr. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Inta Budi Setya Nusa, SE., M.Ak. as the Directorate of International Affairs & Cooperation of UNIKOM. Several invited guests who were also present included the Director of the International Program, Mrs. Dr. Senny Luckyardi, S.P., M.M., the International Affairs & Cooperation Team, Mr. Dr. Salmon Priaji Martana, S.T., M.T. & Mrs. Dr. Henike Primawanti, M.I.Pol. Several native Korean teachers who were present included Ms. Kim Nayeon, Ms. Kim Hanna, Ms. Kim Hye in, and Ms. Ha Bok Eum.

The event continued with several exciting games, such as guessing K-POP music videos, guessing Indonesian songs based on lyrics read by a native teacher, and playing Jegichagi (a traditional Korean game). The highlight of the event was the distribution of graduation certificates, with students coming up on stage to receive their certificates and have their photos taken. The event closed with the announcement of the game winners and door prize winners.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Inta Budi Setya Nusa, SE., M.Ak., said, “The lively graduation ceremony of KSI Bandung 1 was certainly a very memorable moment for all participants. This event was not only a celebration of achievements, but also a place for a ‘reunion’ for several classes that were held online.”

Overall, this graduation ceremony not only marks the end of a learning journey, but also serves as a stepping stone to new challenges, both professionally and personally. This atmosphere will undoubtedly motivate participants to continue developing their Korean language skills.
