    Abstract

Autonomous vehicle is a vehicle that can automatically navigate both long-range and short-range navigation. In this paper, we designed a motion and navigation control system of an autonomous vehicle that is implemented on a mobile robot. The remote navigation process involves using the global positioning system (GPS) sensor as a reference to navigate, and for short-range navigation using the proximity and force sensor. The robot task is to reach several coordinate points that are determined and marked with a traffic-cone at each point. In the control of short-range navigation, the robot uses five ultrasonic and three switch sensors to read the environment as input to the description of the distance between the robot and the object. The micro-controller then compares it to the robot’s safe distance instructions in navigating with surrounding objects. GPS sensor is used to provide remote navigation path information. To compensate for the accuracy of the wide GPS sensor readings, several waypoints are designed to guide the robot to the specified traffic-cone. From the implementation, the robot movement can go along the navigation area and can avoid short-range objects in the robot trajectory and get to the traffic-cone point with the percentage of success reaching the final destination above 86% both in sunny and cloudy weather. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Artificial Intelligence and New Level of Fake News

    Authors: Nazar S, Bustam M. R

    DOI: 10.1088/1757-899X/879/1/012006

    Abstract

The purpose of this study is to increase the awareness toward contents in the internet, like fake news or hoaxes. It focuses on internet contents made with artificial intelligence or AI. The method of this study used qualitative methods. The method is used to describe the people’s readiness toward fake news made with the help of artificial intelligence (AI). Besides, questionnaire is used to understand people awareness toward fake news. As the study focuses on one the AI technologies, Deepfake is taken for the research subject. The result shows that videos made with Deepfake are hard to tell if they were fake. Other than that, access to software implementing Deepfake is pretty easy to get; the example is faceswap, an open source project that is available and easy to use. Deepfake is useful in the film making industries, but recently it gets to the surfaces and is used to make fake news. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

  • The Designing of User Acceptance Measurement Tool for Web-Based Application Interface Using Combination from Nielsen’s Method and Questionnaire Technique

The Designing of User Acceptance Measurement Tool for Web-Based Application Interface Using Combination from Nielsen’s Method and Questionnaire Technique

    Authors: Yusup Maruli, Yusrila Kerlooza

    DOI: 10.1088/1757-899X/879/1/012081

    Abstract

The application that is built to be used by users with wide age ranges and different educational backgrounds need interface which is designed carefully. User acceptance value for the application’s interface must be measured using the right measurement tool. The goal of this research is to produce the right measurement tool for the application’s interface. The right measurement tool to measure the value of user acceptance in this research uses Nielsen’s method and questionnaire technique. The Nielsen’s method covers Nielsen’s Attributes of Usability and Nielsen’s Heuristic Evaluation and the questionnaire technique consists of QUIS Questionnaire, USE Questionnaire and Purdue Usability Testing Questionnaire. The result of this paper is a measurement tool to measure the value of user acceptance that is produced from a combination of Nielsen’s method and questionnaire technique which considers user age range and educational background. A few things which become the topic of discussion are the number of questions and answers, classification for the questionnaire and users’ condition. As conclusion, further surveys are needed to prove the correctness of the classification according to the suggestions in the discussion chapter. This research will give an accurate measurement to the value of user acceptance. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

  • Relationship between Farmer Characteristics and Gadget Using in Rural Area for Improving Regional Development

Relationship between Farmer Characteristics and Gadget Using in Rural Area for Improving Regional Development

    Author: Aulia S. S

    DOI: 10.1088/1757-899X/879/1/012162

    Abstract

This research aims to see the relationship between the farmers’ characteristics and their gadgets, such as mobile phone or smartphones in support of agricultural activities. This research used qualitative and quantitative research types namely qualitative research with a survey method of observation and semi-closed interviews. The data from the field survey was processed into useful information in seeing the characteristics of farmers and their relationship in utilizing their gadgets. Analysis of this relationship was analysed using quantitative chi-square methods. The significant value of the significance of the variable age, level of education, and saving ability is 0.001, 0.003, and 0.002. Variable age and education level are internal condition of farmers who are strongly associated with the ability of farmers in operating a mobile phone to search for a variety of agricultural information. The use of a mobile phone can affect the effectiveness and efficiency of farmers in terms of time, cost, and energy. However, the use of mobile phone can also the negative impact when the expenditure to buy credit phone is not controllable, so it can be related to the inability of farmers to save in the bank. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

    Authors: Nurhayati S, Milal N, Sujana A. P

    DOI: 10.1088/1757-899X/879/1/012020

    Abstract

The infrastructure provided by PT Pertamina to meet fuel needs is the gas station (SPBU). Gas station infrastructure is an important infrastructure in every city. Information about the location of the gas station is necessary for motorists, especially during emergencies, namely the availability of fuel in vehicles that are running low when the user is on his way. The purpose of this study is to create a mobile device that provides gas station location information to make it easy for users to get a gas station that is close to the user’s position. The object of this research is a gas station in the city of Bandung, Indonesia. The method used to find the nearest location is Location-Based Services (LBS), a cellular service that uses user location information consisting of X and Y coordinates generated by GPS, most of which use positioning techniques. Functional analysis using Unified Modeling Language (UML). Based on testing that has been done using alpha testing, the application made already provides information about the location of the nearest gas station. Based on the results of discussions with application users, this application can help users find the closest gas station. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
