    DOI: 10.18517/ijaseit.11.2.10537

    Abstract

Smart Home technology development is directly proportional to the emergence of various applications as access media. Currently, many Smart Home applications do not use the concept of human-machine interaction (HMI). The problem that often arises in the interaction between humans and machines is that humans must understand what the machine wants to have wrong perceptions about the system. In this study, the solution is proposed with the HMI concept, which uses natural language interaction through the chatbot application as an interactive medium to control and monitor Smart Home devices. In this study, the chatbot application implements the Natural Language Processing (NLP) text recognition process. User acceptance of the system is carried out using the evaluation stage. Thirty users participated in an in-depth usage study in which they tackled using the system. This research aims to create an application that can make it easier for users to control various devices on a Smart Home through natural language interaction and to analyze the performance of the NLP method. The results showed that most users (90%) believed that the application can help users control and monitor Smart Home devices. The NLP application on the chatbot application provides a success rate of 93.3% where the results obtained from the chatbot response depend on the completeness of the token. © 2021. DOI: 10.1088/1757-899X/662/2/022019

    Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to design a digital platform design as one solution to solving poverty problems that exist in the community with various causes. Poverty is a complex problem caused by multidimensionality. The cause of poverty is not only a problem of economic inequality but also caused by social problems, education, and lack of access to communicate or communication. The methodology used in this research is Sociotechnical System (STS), STS analysis used six attributes, namely goals, people, buildings/infrastructure, technology, culture, and processes/procedures. This approach (STS) analyzes approaches based on social problems and technical problems. The final results of this study created a digital platform design as a public space to capture community participation in order to care and want to share with poor communities in the form of entrepreneurship training groups (UKM). This technology becomes a tool to help in educating society, not a rival of the community in accordance with the principles of society 5.0.

    DOI: 10.1063/5.0254657

    Abstract

Residential complexes usually have various complete facilities to support the comfort of their residents. One of them is a green open space or park, which in addition to functioning for reforestation of the area, is also usually used for various kinds of community activities. Several new residential complexes currently feature many regional parks with aesthetic and elegant designs, which of course are the ideas of developers with the aim of improving the image of the area as one of the well-ordered and prestigious settlements. The applied landscape elements usually consist of softscape and hardscape elements. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the visual value of the softscape and hardscape elements. The research was explored through field observations of the physical aspects and activities carried out by park users, which was then carried out on an assessment of the indicators determined based on the literature study. The activity was carried out in the Summarecon Park residential area, Bandung. The results of the assessment provide an indication of: 1) visual assessment; 2) garden use. © 2025 Author(s)..

    Abstract

In numerous major urban centres, there is a frequent occurrence of infrastructure development in response to the demands of a growing population. These kinds of operations request significant infrastructure investments. However, it is imperative to acknowledge that construction projects generate greenhouse gas emissions, which, in turn, exert a notable influence on pollution levels. This research project seeks to determine the extent to which infrastructure development affects air quality. To achieve this objective, we collected samples measuring carbon dioxide (CO2) and carbon monoxide (CO) levels at various locations within the study area. The research was conducted at three distinct time intervals: morning, afternoon, and evening. The findings of this investigation revealed disparities in CO2 and CO concentrations across these time periods. This research serves as a pivotal benchmark for quantifying the volume of pollution stemming from infrastructure construction activities and its consequential effects on the overall air quality. © School of Engineering, Taylor’s University.

    Abstract

Agricultural production contributes significantly to greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and global climate change. This study conducts a systematic literature review to examine the evolution and drivers of agricultural GHG emissions. We analyzed Web of Science, Scopus, and Google Scholar data using bibliometric and thematic methods. Our analysis identified emission sources such as energy use, soil management, fertilizer application, and livestock management. It also discussed mitigation measures such as sustainable practices, precision agriculture, and renewable energy. The findings showed that crop cultivation, livestock activities, and land-use change remained key sources of emissions. Technological innovations and policy-driven strategies are reshaping the research landscape. This study provides a framework for understanding agricultural GHG emissions and supporting interventions to reduce the sector’s carbon footprint as well as Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). © 2025 Kantor Jurnal dan Publikasi UPI.

  • Design and Build a Water Quality Measurement System with Multi Depths Using the RS-485 Protocol Based on Android Smartphone

Design and Build a Water Quality Measurement System with Multi Depths Using the RS-485 Protocol Based on Android Smartphone

Author: Anadita Rizti Oktavia; Jana Utama

    DOI: 10.1063/5.0176606

    Abstract :

The management of water resources, especially lake or reservoir ecosystems, must be considered. What is currently happening is that the measurement of water quality in aquaculture is usually measured only on the surface of the water, because it will not always be above the water surface, so it is necessary to design a sensor system that can measure air conditions at various certain depths. System design sensors for physical and chemical air quality at multiple depths, where the sensors used are temperature sensors and pH sensors. To measure the depth of this system utilizes a pulley system which is inserted a rotary encoder. Where from the length of the rope being pulled/stretched it can be determined how many meters the depth is measured. In addition, the data obtained will be sent via the RS-485 protocol and saved to the Data Logger and this system is also equipped with a measurement location. All information will be accessible using an Android Smartphone using a local server via Bluetooth in the application that has been provided. The test results of the device consisting of a temperature sensor have an error of 1%, a pH sensor of 3.1%, and depth measurements using a rotary encoder have an error of 0.77%. Direct testing was carried out at 3 different locations and it was found that the difference in air depth affects the temperature and pH of the air where the deeper the air, the lower the temperature. Changes in the pH value to the depth of the air also have an effect because when you get a lot of heat intensity from sunlight, the surface temperature will increase, so the solubility of carbon dioxide will decrease so that the pH will also increase and the air is alkaline. © 2023 Author(s).This article can be accessed at https://www.scopus.com/pages/publications/85177584618

Computer Science Research in Indonesia to Create Sustainable Infrastructure for United Nations Sustainable Development Goals

Authors: Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto, Brandon Nathanael Meliala, Senny Luckyardi, Bobi Kurniawan

    Abstract

This study explored the role of computer science in advancing sustainable infrastructure in Indonesia, aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As the country grapples with rapid urbanization, environmental challenges, and disaster resilience, emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), big data, the Internet of Things (IoT), and blockchain present innovative solutions. This research examined the studies using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) from the past five years that focus on the application of computer science in sustainable infrastructure development in Indonesia. The study highlights contributions that align with the UN SDGs through a structured process of identifying, evaluating, and synthesizing relevant findings. Key findings reveal the potential of AI-powered smart grids, IoT-based environmental monitoring, and predictive analytics for disaster management. However, challenges such as infrastructure disparities, cybersecurity risks, and regulatory gaps remain significant barriers to adoption. The study emphasizes the need for more significant investment, stronger policies, and cross-sector collaboration to accelerate technology integration. By merging computer science with sustainability strategies, Indonesia can enhance infrastructure resilience, drive economic growth, and strengthen environmental protection. This research provides policy recommendations and insights for future studies, advocating a technology-driven approach to sustainable development. © School of Engineering, Taylor’s University.
